the night prior, shu had come home tired but relaxed, shrugging at the new job's ease. "literally nothing happened," she said, almost condescendingly. "i don't get why he wants me to watch the place before opening."

tonight however, had been wildly different. she entered the apartment silently, a little past 7 in the morning, looking quite like she had... well, seen a ghost. if only she knew how on the nose that was.

things are tossed on the floor beside the front door and shu walks, almost zombie like, to her room, past jamie without so much as a "morning," which wasn't like her at all.

something had clearly shaken her up badly at work that night.
