volunteered (and will be paid) to work the polls in my precinct on tuesday because i need the money but my meds are making me so sick. but how my body works is when it's in duress i can coast nonstop until the second i'm done and then i will collapse and experience the rebound for the entire next day like laid in bed can't talk migraine that lulled for 20 minute intervals every couple of hours plus body aches/chills/fever/nausea/vomiting like what is thissss 😭 this isn't even new to the meds, just greatly exacerbated. and i've been taking painkillers nonstop which i know is not good but i cant even sleep when it's this bad it's so so frustrating

#and most of the volunteers are seniors doing roughly the same thing even if most of them get to sit down #except for my partner who was 71 and absolutely nuts she was so energetic. she helped an older gentleman w his ballot and he stole #her unopened water had her open it for him and everything broooo. i gave her mine but both of us were like 😶#the confidence in which he grabbed it too #ALSO THE MACHINE BROKE DOWN. 40 ppl lined up waiting w their ballots for 30 minutes. they had to replace the top part
