part 2
âYeah, Mom, Iâm fine. Nothingâs broken, just a nasty dislocation,â you attempt to calm your motherâs nerves, trying to unlock your apartment door with your good arm while balancing your phone between your cheek and shoulder. âThey reset it for me and told me to follow up with my primary care on Monday. Gave me some pain meds and sent me on my way.â
âWell, what about until then? What if you need help? What about work? How will you drive?â she rapid fires questions at you.
âIâll figure it out, donât worry. Since it was a work-related injury, Iâll still get paid. And theyâre paying all of the medical bills, so thatâs all taken care of,â you make your way into your apartment, shutting the door with your foot behind you. âEverything else Iâll handle as it comes.â
She doesnât seem satisfied with your answer, tsking into her phone, making you picture her trademark displeased headshake.
âWhat about Nico? Why donât you stay with him until youâre back to 100%? Iâm sure heâd be willing to help out,â she suggests, her tone switching from worried to suggestive.
You roll your eyes, knowing exactly where this conversation is headed.
âMom, how many times do I have to tell you, Nico and I are just friends. We work together. Just because you think you saw him look at me a certain way when you were visiting doesnât mean I have to call him every time something goes wrong,â you tell her, placing your bag on your kitchen table.
Ever since your mom came in a few months ago to visit, sheâs been on your case about making a move on Nico, it all starting when she witnessed Nico helping you across the ice during a pre-game practice while trying to get some action shots.
You work as a photographer for the Devils, not realizing that being able to ice skate would have been a nice addition to your resume.
Your college advisor arranged the interview for you right before graduation. You had no previous knowledge of hockey, having come from a football family. You told your advisor this, but she insisted you didnât have to know anything about a sport to be able to take good pictures of it.
During the interview, you made sure to inform your now boss that you didnât know how to skate, hoping it wouldnât be a problem. He assured you that you could take pictures from the stands or the players bench, the chance of you having to step onto the ice slim.
For the first few months of your job, it was smooth sailing. You were mostly taking pictures from the camera holes in the glass or being told to cover locker room and arrival pictures. You worked with one other photographer, a seasoned sports photography veteran named Phil. Phil was a New Jersey native, having grown up skating, so he took over the duties of any major action shots the director wanted from on the ice.
Unfortunately for you, Philâs wife had convinced him to retire early, losing his help right before the leagueâs short Christmas break.
Seeing as they had just hired you, and it was the middle of the season, the hunt for a replacement for Phil was put on the backburner, more important team matters taking precedence.
You were forced to take over Philâs duties, meaning you were now responsible for any on the ice shots. You had found a way to slowly scoot across the perimeter of the rink, staying out of the way while also getting the shots you needed.
Your system was working well until the morning of a gameday, having gotten permission from your boss to bring your mother along to this particular practice, wanting to show her all aspects of your job.
For this particular game, the players were especially focused on practicing their skills and running drills during morning skate. You were doing your typical shuffle while clutching the edge of the waist-high wall when someone came zooming past you, causing your feet to start sliding uncontrollably, not being able to find your footing on the slick ice.
You felt the moment you were about to fall, waiting for the impact of your butt on the cold ice, but it never came. You felt yourself fall into a body covered by plastic pads, gloved hands shooting out to grab your upper arms.
You looked up, seeing Nico smiling down at you in amusement.
âItâs a bit slippery out here, huh?â he jokes, making sure youâre standing steady on your feet before letting go of you.
âWell, we are standing on ice, soâŠ.â You trail off, grabbing onto the wooden ledge again, preventing another near fall.
Nico laughs, looking down and shuffling his skates back and forth.
âWell would you look at that? We are on ice â He flashes a smile, looking back up at you.
You stick your tongue out at him, earning another chuckle from the teamâs Captain.
âYou know, most people use these great things called ice skates when they try to walk on ice,â he tells you, lifting one skate up for emphasis.
Rolling your eyes, you scoff out a âOh wow, why didnât I ever think of that?â
âJust some food for thought,â Nico shrugged as he placed his foot back down on the ice, skating in a little circle, as if to say âSee, told you so.â
You let go of the ledge to cross your arms, forgetting that you needed the stability. When you try to shift your weight from one leg to the other, you lose your footing again, this time falling forward into Nico. You let the camera in your hands fall, grabbing onto his biceps to stay upright, thankful for the camera strap around your neck.
His hands shoot out to grab your forearms.
âYou know the sad thing is, even with the skates, Iâd still be as clumsy, considering I have absolutely no idea how to use them,â you tell him, the two of you still holding on to one another.
Nico shakes his head at you, placing one of your hands on his forearm, moving you from in front of him to beside of him.
He starts slowly skating towards the bench while you shuffle your feet along, putting all of your focus on keeping yourself upright until you reach your destination.
When you finally reach the bench, you step off of the ice and let out a breath of relief.
âThanks, Cap. Wouldâve hated to make a fool of myself out there while my momâs watching,â you thank him, looking over to where your mom sits, a smile on her face.
Nico follows your gaze and waves to your mom, matching her smile.
âWell, we wouldnât want that now, would we? What if she found out her daughter was a skating fraud?â he teases, leaning in to whisper the last two words.
âItâs her fault for never taking me to the rink my town would throw up once a year at Christmas. Who knows, maybe I wouldâve been a skating prodigy if given the chance,â you shrug.
A mischievous smile makes its way onto his face. âI think we should put that theory to the test,â he tells you, causing your eyes to latch onto his.
âCome again?â You raise your eyebrows and tilt your chin down.
âI mean, I canât have some photographer out on my ice during practices that canât even stand up,â he keeps his tone light, making sure you know heâs just teasing, âSo, Iâm going to teach you how to skate, and see if you really would have been a skating prodigy.â
He skates off, winking before resuming his practice.
You donât have a chance to speak to him again until after the game, when you get at text from an unknown number reading âRink, tomorrow, 2pm. Iâll bring skates, just bring your prodigy skills.â
After that, you meet with Nico twice a week for skating lessons.
The two of you quickly form a friendship, Nico bringing you coffee on gamedays and you slipping him snacks on the bench during games. You even started inviting him over for dinner after your lessons, insisting the least you can do is feed him to repay him for preventing you from making a fool of yourself on the ice.
Today, however, you did make a fool of yourself on the ice.
You were standing behind the net, telling the players to skate towards you so you could get some shots for the teamâs Instagram account by request of the social media manager.
Once you were pleased with the amount of shots you had gotten, you left your spot from behind the net, skating slowly towards the benches, still a little wobbly on your skates.
You were looking down at your camera, thinking of how youâll have to get Nico out here after the game to get some shots, knowing heâs currently doing pre-game interviews in the locker room.
You werenât paying the slightest bit of attention to the pucks littering the ice in front of you, skating right into one and losing your balance, holding your camera up with one arm while trying to catch yourself with the other.
You felt the way your shoulder shifted, crying out in pain as players turned and started rushing towards you on the ice.
The team doctor came out and told you he was pretty sure your shoulder was simply dislocated, but sent you to the hospital to make sure nothingâs broken.
The ER doctor confirmed your diagnosis, putting your shoulder back into place before pumping you full of pain meds and placing your arm into a sling.
Which leads you to where you are now, back at your apartment, explaining to your mother why Nico canât be at your beck and call.
âHoney, when are you going to realize that boy is in love with you? Iâm telling you, the way I saw him look at you that day I came to visit, the skating lessons and dinners,â she starts, giving you her typical speech when you tell her Nico is just a friend.
âMom, it doesnât matter what you think you saw, weâre seriously just friends. And heâs busy, his schedule is too hectic to spend his time babysitting me,â you interrupt her, not wanting to hear her Nico speech for the thousandth time, regretting ever telling her about the skating lessons.
She sighs into the phone.
âIâm just trying to help you, you knowâŠâ you hear your mother start, but you tune the rest of her words out, focusing on the three loud knocks on your front door.
Your head turns to your door, the unexpected noise causing you to jump, the sudden motion tipping your bag over, the contents spilling all of your kitchen floor.
âHoney, are you alright? What was that?â your mom halts her one-sided conversation, worry in her tone.
âShit!â you exclaim, watching the container of memory cards fly open, the small squares sliding across the linoleum floor.
You forget about the sling on your arm, crouching down and trying to reach for the cards with your bad arm, a searing pain shooting through your shoulder at the movement.
Letting out a loud yelp, you bring your arm back to its resting positing in the sling.
âY/N, whatâs going on? Did you hurt yourself?â you barely hear your motherâs voice through the phone speaker, not being able to think about anything other than the throbbing pain in your shoulder.
You hear three more pounds on your front door, this time a voice following the knocks.
âY/N! Open up!â
You groan, trying to stand up, too many people trying to get your attention at the moment.
âHoney, talk to me. Is someone in there with you? I heard another voice,â your mother asks you as you stand, making your way over towards your front door.
âSomeoneâs knocking on the door,â you grit through your teeth, trying to think about anything but the pain in your shoulder. âI dropped my bag and tried to pick something up with my bad arm. Iâm fine. Just hurts,â you tell her, opening your door to see a frantic Nico standing there.
His wide eyes scan your body, stopping once they see the sling on your arm.
You notice his wet hair and lack of socks on his tennis shoe covered feet.
âAre you okay? They told me you had to be taken to the hospital before the game started, but no one knew what really happened,â he rushed out, looking up at your face.
âHey, Mom, gotta go, Nicoâs at my door,â you tell her, a little stunned that the object of your conversation just appeared, hanging up the phone before she could make any comments about it.
âYeah, Iâm fine. Are you?â you ask him, pointing towards his feet, an amused smile on your face. The shock of seeing him at your door making you completely forget about the pain in your shoulder.
Nico looks down at his own feet, looking back up at you with red cheeks.
âOh, uh, I couldnât find my socks after the game and i couldnât get you to answer your phone, so I rushed over to the hospital to see if you were still there, and they told me you left about an hour ago, so I hopped in my car and came over here to make sure you were okay,â he tells you, not meeting your eye.
Youâre shocked at his confession, not expecting him to be so concerned about your impromptu trip to the hospital.
âWell, Iâm here and still standing,â you awkwardly stand in your doorway, not knowing what else to say, thinking about how if you werenât arguing with your mom over Nico on the phone, you might have gotten his calls.
âYeah, I see that now,â he shoves his hands in the pocket of his hoodie.
The two of you stand there, not really knowing what to say to one another.
âDo you want to come in?â you ask him, moving out of the doorway to let him step into your apartment.
Nico shakes his head yes and walks past you, looking towards the mess on the floor in your kitchen.
âWhat happened here? Is this the crash I heard?â he asks you.
âYeah, the bag fell and spilled everything. When I went to pick it up, I forgot and used my bad shoulder,â you gesture to your slinged arm.
Nico shakes his head at you, crouching down to pick up the camera disks all over the floor.
âOh, no, you donât have to-â
âWell youâre sure as hell not trying to pick them up again,â Nico interrupts you, standing and placing the now full box of disks on your table.
You roll your eyes at him, walking over towards your fridge.
âSo, what exactly happened? Jack told me you hurt your shoulder?â he follows you over to your fridge, watching you scan its contents, or lack thereof.
âWell, I was looking at my camera and skated right into a bunch of pucks on the floor, then was too focused on saving the equipment instead of remembering how to fall properly,â you told him, remembering his words during your first skate lesson, telling you not to catch yourself if you fall on the ice.
âSee, I told you to just let yourself fall. Never try to catch yourself,â he echoes his words in your thoughts.
âYeah, well, itâs a lot easier said than done,â you deadpan, shutting your fridge door and looking at Nico.
Your stomach growls at that exact moment, making you groan at your lack of food in your fridge, not having eaten since before your accident.
âWhen was the last time you ate anything?â Nico asks you, looking down at your growling stomach.
âUhhh, breakfast?â you recall.
Nicoâs eyes widen. âItâs almost midnight. Did they really not feed you at the hospital?â he asks you.
âConsidering they were busy doing x-rays and scans to make sure nothing was broken or torn, no,â you walk over to your cabinets, finding them also bare.
âAlright, go sit down and Iâll order us something to eat,â Nico shoos you out of the kitchen, walking over and opening the drawer where you keep all of your takeout menus.
You wonder how he knows where your menus are, forgetting for a moment that heâs over at your apartment at least twice a week after your skating lessons. Sometimes more, the occasional movie night making its way into your weekly routine.
âWhat do you want? Sushi? Chinese? Burgers?â he questions, flipping through your menus.
For some reason, your brain chooses this moment to register how much you enjoy the sight of Nico in your kitchen, looking through your takeout menus and offering to order you dinner.
You think back to all the times heâs helped you make dinner, laughter filling every moment of your time together. You think about how he always wear his pjs when he comes over for a movie night, bringing a different chocolate candy to put in the popcorn each time. You think about how he somehow learned your coffee order without you ever telling him, bringing you a coffee every morning, even at away games.
You think about your motherâs words, and how you didnât even have to ask Nico to come over tonight, or to give you skating lessons. You think about how you never have to ask Nico to do anything he does for you â which is a lot, youâre realizing â he just does it. He does it because he wants to, because heâs kind and caring and wants to spend time with you.
âHello? Earth to Y/N, what do you want for dinner?â Nico snaps you out of your sudden revelation.
âSorry, spaced out for a second. Must be the pain meds,â you tell him, knowing that your mind isnât the least bit impaired right now.
âOkay, go sit down, we need to get some food in you then,â he fishes his phone out of his pocket, mumbling out âCanât believe they pumped you full of meds on an empty stomach.â
You make your way to your couch, sitting down and taking your shoes off, making yourself as comfortable as you can.
You remove a stray piece of hair that fell onto your face, knowing how awful it must look.
When you fell on the ice, the claw clip that was holding your hair in its up-do broke, causing it to fan out over the cold, wet ice. Once you got to the hospital, you were put in and out of so many different machines, you can only imagine the tangled, matted mess it is.
You get up and go to your bathroom, finding your brush and trying to comb it out. The task proving to be difficult with only one hand. The tangles keep pulling your head back and hurting your tender scalp, but you keep trying, whimpering each time the brush gets stuck on a particularly bad tangle.
You donât even hear Nico approach your bathroom, just a sigh and âI told you to sit down,â before the brush is taken from your hand and you see Nicoâs reflection behind you in the mirror.
Without another word, he proceeds to brush your hair for you, ensuring every tangle is gone before setting the brush on your sink.
The two of you make eye contact in the mirror, neither one wanting to break the silence during the surprisingly intimate moment.
You clear your throat, looking down after the silence got too intense, causing Nico to avert his eyes as well.
âI really wish i could wash my hair, but i know thatâs a no go tonight,â you chuckle, wishing your bathroom was a little bit bigger in this moment.
âI can braid your hair for you,â Nico starts, staring at you in the mirror, watching your eyes snap up to meet his. âI mean, only if you want,â he stutters out.
âReally?â you ask him, a little stunned.
âYeah. I used to help Nina with hers all the time when I was younger,â Nico mentions his older sister, grabbing your hair lightly and starting to section it off. âAnytime she would have a sleep over I would always weasel my way into the party. So one day, she made me sit in a braiding chain and learn how to braid her hair.â
You let out a giggle, picturing a smaller version of Nico sitting at the end of a line of girls, braiding their long hair.
âThen, Nina claimed I got so good at it she always wanted me to braid her hair before her volleyball matches, then her friends all started wanting me to do theirs, too,â he continues talking, nearly lulling you to sleep with the soft movements of his hands as you listen to him speak.
âI think thatâs adorable,â you quietly speak, closing your eyes.
âWhat can I say? When a pretty girl needs her hair braided, who am I to keep my skills to myself?â he jokes, making you wonder if he meant you or his sisterâs friends.
âIâm sure itâs any little boyâs dream to have an entire volleyball team at his mercy, all those pretty volleyball players begging him to play with their hair,â you tease him, handing him the hair tie that you always keep on your wrist.
âI donât know, I think playing with a pretty photographerâs hair is better, if you ask me,â he ties the hair tie around the bottom of the braid, reaching up to pull the braid loose, making sure itâs not too tight.
You keep your eyes closed, knowing he can likely see the redness on your cheeks at his words.
âAlright, eyes open. Need to make sure you like my work,â he places his hands on your biceps, making sure to keep his touch feather light on your bad arm.
He turns you around so youâre facing him, holding a handheld mirror that was laying on your sink in front of your face, allowing you to see the reflection of the braid.
Youâre shocked to see the flawless Dutch braid that cascades down your back.
âNico, youâre likeâŠreally good at this,â you reach your good hand to the back of your head, running it down the braid.
âTold you, I had a lot of practice,â he shrugs, setting the mirror down.
You yawn, the relaxing nature of having your hair braided allowing you to realize how tired you are from the dayâs events.
âNuh-uh, gotta keep you awake until we get some food in you,â he tuts, taking his hands and patting your cheeks.
You groan, leaning into his palms that stay resting on your face.
âCâmon, letâs get you changed and on the couch,â he motions for you to leave the bathroom.
You walk to your room, Nico helping you carefully remove your sling before leaving and giving you some privacy.
You change into your pajamas, somehow managing to get your arm into an oversized Devils shirt you found at the bottom of your drawer.
Nico is standing outside of your door when you open it, helping you back into your sling.
He stands in front of you, staring at you with a look that you canât decipher.
âIsâŠeverything okay?â you question him, noticing his stare after adjusting your sling.
His eyes snap up to you, seemingly unaware that he was even staring at you in the first place.
âUh, yeah, sorry. I just- is that my shirt?â he asks you, pointing to your pj shirt.
You look down at the oversized shirt, trying to think of where you got it.
It had just showed up in your laundry basket one day, assuming it was one they gave you when you got your job, but Nicoâs question makes you think harder.
You realize, suddenly, you do remember where you got it.
During one of your post lesson dinners, Nico had spilled his drink all over his shirt. You offered to wash it for him after he changed to a shirt in his duffel.
You meant to take it back to him after you washed it, but forgot about it entirely, packing it away in your pajama drawer.
âOh, crap, it is. Do you want it back, I can go change?â you ask him, worried heâs upset that you forgot to give it back.
âNoâŠno itâs fine. Keep it. I have plenty,â he shakes his head, glancing down at it once more.
The two of you make your way to your couch, finding something to watch on tv when thereâs a knock on the door, signaling the arrival of your food.
You start to stand to go get it, but Nico sternly tells you to stay put.
Rolling your eyes you sit back down, grabbing the remote and continuing to channel surf.
Nicoâs gone for longer than you expect, causing you to sit up and turn back towards your kitchen, wondering whatâs taking him so long.
You see him walking over to you, a tray full of food in his hands.
He had ordered from your favorite sushi place, figuring it would be the easiest for you to eat one handed.
As he sat down the tray on the coffee table in front of you, you realized what took him so long.
Nico had put a toothpick in each piece of your sushi, knowing using chopsticks with your non dominant hand would have been hard for you. He poured soy sauce into a small container, allowing you to simply pick up each toothpick and dip it in the sauce before popping it in your mouth.
He had also ordered you a bottle of cherry coke, which he knew was your favorite, and placed it on the tray with the lid unscrewed and a straw peeking out of the bottle next to a glass of ice, just incase you wanted it that way instead.
You looked up at him, feeling that funny feeling in your chest like you did earlier in your kitchen, blown away at how he always seems to think of everything he can to help you out, even when youâre not injured.
You mustâve been looking for longer than you realized, because he cocks his head at you, confusion present on his face.
âWhat?â he asks, not understanding whatâs wrong. âDid you not want sushi? I thought you said it was always the one thing that could cheer you up?â
You shake your head at him. âNo, sushi is perfect,â you tell him, a small smile on your face as you look up at him.
He smiles back for a few moments, then started scooting the coffee table towards you so you donât have to reach to grab your food. He moves around the table to sit beside of you, the size of the small table causing him to sit so close to you that you can feel the warmness of his large thigh against yours.
You once again think about all of the things heâs done for you without you even having to ask. Now including coming over after a gameâno doubt exhausted and soreâand taking care of you without even thinking twice. Braiding your hair and calling you pretty. Staring at you unintentionally wearing his t-shirt. Modifying your food so itâs easier for you to eat with one hand.
You sit there, staring at the man you fear youâre falling in love with, already planning out the apology text youâre going to have to send your mom.

Break Point ft k. sakusa
synopsis: tennis!au -you shouldn't be letting your boyfriend's rival feel you up in the locker room, and you certainly shouldn't be getting on your knees for him, especially given the history between the two of you
warnings : mdni, smut, fem! bodied reader, reader has she/her pronouns, degradation, cheating, oral (m! recieving), public sex, pussy jobs, hair pulling, reader is called a good girl
song rec : fetish -selena gomez
"and we're back folks! that was some first set- of course, we are in the US Open semi-finals, and it is sakusa and terushima on the court!"
the crowd roars as you adjust your sunglasses and pick up your honey deuce to take a sip, eyes trained on terushima sitting on the bench with a towel over his head. unwillingly, you find your gaze pulled towards the player on the other side of the umpire's chair, sakusa kiyoomi uncapping a bottle of electrolytes before tilting his head back and bringing the bottle to his mouth. you take another sip, watching the strong column of his throat move as he gulps his water.
"this infamous rivalry's brought everyone together today. over in terushima's box, is, of course, his beautiful girlfriend- joined by his high-school friends!"
you raise your head and smile, raising your honey deuce as the cameras pan over to your seat at the commentator's words. in the row behind you terushima's friends holler and whistle, waving a banner with his face on it.
"terushima's partner is pretty private, so it's a real treat that we managed an interview with her before the match- she's had some fun stuff to say about this rivalry and today's match."
you watch as you pop up on the big screen, dressed in the blue and white dress you'd picked out specially for this match- makeup and hair fresher than it currently was. the string of diamonds around your throat winks in the light as you nod at whatever the interviewer was saying.
"what do you think about sakusa? he's given your boyfriend quite a good amount of grief this season."
the video-you laughs at the question, red lips curling upward. "well, he's been a household name for some time now. yuji thinks more about him than about me, if we're being frank."
"do you think his victories are earned? sakusa's won 5 out of the 6 times they've met so far, and their rivalry goes way back to their juniors days."
"sakusa's definitely a really good player, and he's improved a lot since his defeat at last year's wimbledon final. i- we, yuji and i both think he's someone to watch out for, especially if he can clean up his net play a little more. he, for sure, has the potential to surpass the big 3."
the interviewer raises her eyebrows at your admission, and Arthur Ashe clamors in real time. you sink your teeth into your lower lip, as the other screen shows sakusa's reaction to your words. as usual, the man is stoic, showing no signs of having heard your praise. however, his sharp eyes are focused on the screen showing your interview, having stopped all his inter-set preparations.
"and what about terushima? do you think he can surpass the big 3?"
you're silent for a touch too long before showering yuji with praise, however it doesn't seem like anyone except you had noticed the pause. yuji's grinning from his bench on the court making kissy faces at the screen. he has everyone's attention.
you swallow, shifting your focus back to sakusa, who's no longer looking at the screen, but has his eyes trained on you, a faint smirk evident on his face. well, that pause hadn't escaped everyone's notice. kissing your teeth, you avert your eyes- taking another sip of your honey deuce. arthur ashe titters one final time before silence settles again as the players take their positions, sakusa's serve.
"and at 144 mph that's this season's fastest serve yet! i would not want to be the one who faces that serve, that's for sure."
you lean forward, taking off your sunglasses as the men enter the fifth and final set, sakusa breaking in the first game itself. you, as well as the rest of the centre court, watch with bated breaths as the game gets tense- so focused that you completely miss the dark clouds rolling in and the thunder rumbling ominously. there's not a moment of notice as the sky opens up, the downpour brutal. fat, cold raindrops assault your senses as you scramble for cover- dress already sticking and hair frizzing. making your way down the stairs into the gallery, you hear the commentators announce the official postponement of the match.
going down a level further, you push open the double doors to reach the locker rooms. surprisingly, there's no one around. there's a clang of a locker closing somewhere, and you walk towards the sound- your heels clacking loudly. turning the corner, you freeze as a pale, muscular back- scattered with moles- comes into view. sakusa kiyoomi stands with his back to you, shirtless, with his shorts riding low and a towel slung over his shoulder. at your sharp intake he turns, hooded eyes pinning you in place.
"sorry, i um- i'll just-"
you shouldn't be here. (you've been here too many times to be anywhere else.)
he says nothing but keeps his eyes on you as he towels his hair. your gaze unconsciously strays to his biceps as they flex at the motion, before snapping back to his face. he stares at you for a moment longer, before throwing his towel back into the locker and slamming the door shut. you feel heat creeping up your cheeks as he turns to you again.
"why are you here again?"
"sorry, i just- i thought-"
he keeps quiet, cocking his head to the side, waiting for you to continue. you stammer once more before shutting up.
"sorry. i'll leave."
you feel a lump in your throat at his curt words, but you have no right to be upset. you know that very well. you're almost at the corner when his words cause you to stop.
"the big three?"
you pause, memories of younger kiyoomi talking about his dreams flashing through your mind. swallowing, you turn around.
"you know you could do it. coming from me it means nothing."
"nothing?"
you pause again, feeling your neck prickle with heat against his intense stare. he hasn't moved an inch, yet you feel cornered- like prey.
"it should mean nothing."
he scoffs at this, taking a step closer.
"is that what helps you sleep at night? do you say it before you slip your hand into your panties imagining it's my dick inside you, or do you say it after- as long as there's no guilty conscious right?"
you blink at his words, before retorting sharply, "kiyo you can't speak to me like that, watch your words-"
"so i'm kiyo again? what happened to sakusa? you said it so sweetly in the interview. i'm a regular at your perfect white picket fence household, right?"
you step back, hitting a locker, unaware that you'd been backing up. he's in front of you before you can blink, pressing up against you, one hand gripping your waist the other flat against the locker beside your head. leaning closer his breath fans across your face as he pants, still breathing deeply from his match.
"you show up- as you always do when he's playing against me- wearing the dress i bought you, the dress i fucked you in- wrapped in diamonds i bought you, diamonds that rest where my hands used to-
and that's fine. that's perfectly fine. but showing up here? in this locker room? and saying your words mean nothing to me?"
you whimper, eyes falling shut as he grips your face, smearing your lipstick with his thumb. the scent of his cologne mixed with his sweat crowds your senses, dimming them. slipping his thumb into your mouth he presses against your tongue. you obediently part your mouth, pressing your thighs to relieve some of the pressure. sakusa scoffs again, slotting his thigh between your legs, allowing you to press down and rut against him.
"what a slut, do you get wet like this for everyone? or am i just special baby? do you let every fucker who plays against your darling boyfriend feel you up in the locker room? does the idea of you getting fucked by someone he'll lose against turn him on too?"
your eyes roll back as you moan, sliding a hand to your breast, before it's snatched back by kiyoomi, pinned against the locker. his touch is too familiar for you to consider him as sakusa, he's always been your kiyo.
"you're going to get off humping my leg like a dog in heat baby, i know you can do it," he coos, grip on your face tightening.
you whimper at his words, grinding down harder. everything feels so hot, with kiyoomi pressing his body against you- weight heavy. his scent is everywhere.
"actually- i don't think you deserve that."
your eyes fly open as he shifts his thigh and moves away, leaving you cold and slumped against the lockers. you breathe heavily, fingers scrambling for purchase behind you to keep yourself upright.
you open your mouth to say something, anything- but you draw blank. what can you even say?
kiyoomi stands still in front of you, arms crossed- but with his shorts tenting it's clear he's not entirely unaffected. his dark eyes remain fixed on you, but he says nothing. the two of you remain suspended like this for a few heartbeats. you see his adam's apple bob as he swallows once, twice- before taking a step back.
"you should leave. he's probably waiting for you."
you should leave. he's definitely waiting for you.
you nod slowly, straightening your spine. taking a deep breath, you reach for your bag which you had dropped sometime during and dig through it for a tissue. your makeup must be a mess.
glancing back at kiyoomi you pause- watching as he sinks down on a bench and leans back to rest on his elbows. his legs part as he breathes, chest rising- erection still straining against his shorts.
the sight is so familiar, your heart aches. your mouth feels dry as he drops his head back, revealing the strong column of his neck.
your panties stick uncomfortably, pussy still throbbing. your breasts feel heavy as you drop your bag again, turning towards him. heat trickles down your spine as you reach for the zipper of your dress, unable to move your eyes from his physique. your dress pools by your feet as you step out of it, now dressed in nothing but your panties, heels, and his diamonds.
kiyoomi still hasn't moved.
teeth sinking into your lower lip, you reach to unbuckle your heels, your brain on autopilot. now barefoot, you pad towards kiyo, sinking to your knees in between his parted legs.
you should leave.
you reach forward to mouth at kiyo's erection, pressing open-mouthed kisses on his cock through the fabric. above you kiyo still hasn't moved, but he sighs, carding a hand through your hair. pressing a hand to his thigh for balance, you move to pull him out, continuing to mouth at his shaft. leaning forward you take him in your mouth, slowly easing him in until you feel him hit the back of your throat. eyes watering, you breath slowly, sucking him the way you know he likes it. you feel kiyo tug at your roots, and you look up at him, eyes locking. his eyes are hooded and impossibly dark, mouth bitten red as he pants.
"my pretty girl, so good for me, only for me," he slurs, grip on your hair tightening. you moan, taking him deeper, swallowing him. kiyo groans, head tipping back again. you slip your hand into your panties, desperate for some friction, moaning again. before you can move however, you find yourself being lifted straight up onto his lap.
now straddling him, your pussy slides against his dick, as you grasp his shoulders for purchase.
"you just couldn't stay away could you? what a filthy little whore. what would those reporters say if they could see you now, hmm? tennis's favourite girlfriend is nothing but a cock hungry slut, but not for her boyfriend, no- for her boyfriend's rival," he coos.
"kiyo, fuck," you whimper, everything is too much.
he moves you again, this time standing up to push you against the locker once again. your legs tremble as you lean back. he slaps your tits, as you jerk, gasping.
"kiyokiyokiyo, please," you whine, unsure what exactly you want him to do. yanking your panties down, he pumps his cock once, before tapping the head against your clit. bullying the head between your lips, he groans, rutting against you.
slapping your tits once again, he grips his cock, inhaling sharply- and he cums all over you pussy and panties. you whine again, reaching to pull his head down, needing to kiss him.
"fuck. fuck, you're so-," he pants into your neck. you nod deliriously, you need to cum so badly it hurts.
the doors clang loudly.
"yo, sakusa, you in here? the weather's cleared up, they're sayin' if it's cool with the both of us we can continue in 30 minutes."
the two of you spring apart, alarm bells ringing in your mind as you pull up your panties. rushing to your dress, you struggle to put it on.
kiyo shoots you one last look, before calling out, "sure man, you mind letting them know on my behalf? i'll be right up."
the footsteps stop just you're stumbling into your shoes.
"of course my guy, no problem."
the doors open again, and you sigh in relief.
"say, you wouldn't have seen my girl anywhere, would you? she's disappeared."
you freeze again, but sakusa's moving past you now, rounding the corner with his tennis bag hung over his shoulder.
"nah, haven't seen her."

when grumpy met sunshine II Kika Nazareth x Reader
masterlist I word count: 2382
It was the first day of training after the summer vacation marking the start of pre-season. With the new players coming in on the one hand and on the other hand the familiar faces it almost felt like the beginning of a school year. Everyone was buzzing. Â
One of the fresh signings approached you quickly once she recognized you, her face lit up with joy and excitement.
âHi y/n, I love your playing style and canât wait to play with you!â, Kika Nazareth greeted you. God how you hated that footballer and her stupid smile. Also how dare she is saying that after what happened a year ago.
âUhu, sure. It seems like you forgot what you did during the Champions League group stage games.â, you answered coldly.
âHuh, what do you mean?â, the Portuguese woman frowned confused.
âForget it.â, you waved it off and rushed off leaving a very bewildered Kika behind.
âDonât take it personally she never forgets anything really. Come on you need to meet the rest of your new teammates.â, Mapi padded empathetically the shoulder of the young forward.
âBut I donât get it, Mapi. What did I ever do to her?â, the brunette asked the defender, while her brown eyes followed you across the room. S
he was genuinely excited to play with you, if you hadnât stopped her so abruptly the Portuguese might have said even more. How Kika loved the way you looked and.. she should stop thinking any further you clearly were mad at her, but why?
âI donât know.â, the older Spanish woman shrugged equally as clueless.
âWeird.â, the forward mumbled.
âLetâs go the others are so thrilled to see you.â, Mapi tried to cheer her up.
âHey, everyone.â, Kika begun anew, beaming at the teammates. Hoping, no praying, she wouldnât cause a reaction like yours earlier. The dark haired forward didnât want to ruin the first day at the new club anymore.
âHi, welcome to the club.â, Claudia replied grinning.
âAnd thanks to special agent Aitana for this transfer who sadly canât be here right now.â, Mapi continued, trying to soothe the fresh signing. It worked Kika did feel more relaxed in front of them.
âGuys calm down she still hasnât proven herself in the team.â, you commented rolling your eyes, suddenly appearing next to Ingrid.
âIâm aware of how good this team is. But Iâm sure I can help.â, the Portuguese swallowed hard, trying to sound as optimistic as possible.
âWeâll see about that.â, you shot back.
âDonât worry youâll.â, she promised. The football player was waiting for a response but once more you vanished without a trace. What a strange behaviour Kika thought to herself.
Thankfully Ellie delivered a much-needed distraction.
 âKika? Ewa and I wanted to ask you if youâd join us for a coffee sometime soon? As weâre all new to the city.â Â
âYes, sure, Iâd love that.â, she nodded happily.
Ellie beamed: âWonderful.â
âCanât wait.â, Kika smiled back at the young goalie.
Once again, you rolled your eyes and turned away from them to focus on your warm up.
You were one of the last to leave the pitch two hours later, thinking that you would have the dressing room for yourself. You did not expect Ingrid and Mapi waiting for you there.
âSo?â, Ingrid said with her arms crossed in front of her chest.
You didnât want to talk about your new team member so you decided to play along: âSo what?â
With a half smile she finally formulated a question: âWhy are you pouting?â
âIâm not pouting. Just annoyed by that smileyâŠâ, you stopped yourself. You couldnât come up with the right word for her anyway.
Mapi shook her head: âYouâre not annoyed.â
At this point, you were starting to get annoyed with these two as well.
âYes, I am. We didnât need her in our team.â
âThatâs not our decision though.â, Mapi shrugged.
You were about to say something but Ingrid was faster: âY/n?â
You turned to her: âYes?â
âTell us why youâre mad at her.â
You heaved a frustrated sigh. They were worse than your parents.
âRemember when we drew against Benfica in Lisbon?â
Both of them nodded. Of course they would remember last years UWCL games. âYeah?â
âWhat happened there? Why canât you move on from it?â, Mapi asked.
Her girlfriend added: âCome on. It canât be that bad. You can tell us.â
They looked at you with those soft eyes, all parent-like. Almost like your team psychologist.
The sudden urge to tell them disappeared completely so you just shrugged and grabbed your bag: âWhatever.â
You could feel their eyes on you as you left the dressing room, still in your workout clothes.
Ingrid looked at her incredulously: âWell, that was strange, Mapi.â
âVery.â, she agreed slowly.
As you went back to your own place, Kika and the other new players sipped on their coffees at a tiny little coffee shop.
âNo, Iâll win her over with my charm, Ellie.â, Kika announced confidently. Even they had noticed the awkward tension between the two of you.
The English goalkeeper nodded slowly: âSure you will, Kika.â
âAnyone wants some cake with their coffee?â, Ewa changed the topic. She had been eyeing the tasty looking sweet treats on display right from the start.
The Portuguese striker nodded: âOf course.â
âCanât say no, they look delicious.â, Ellie laughed.
âWe have to celebrate. Itâs our first coffee date in our new home.â, Kika laughed.
Ewa stood up and agreed: âWe do.â
She quickly returned with three different slices of cake so all of them could try.
âKnowing we play for such a prestigious club now feels great, right?â, she said as she sat the plates down on the table.
âThis feels like a dream come true.â, the goalkeeper agreed with a dreamy look in her blue eyes.
It has always been something the blonde fantasized about since she was a little girl, playing for that club and now the fantasy turned into reality which she was forever grateful for.
When Ellie continued, she sounded serious. âEspecially after the last year that I had.â The other two women knew about the stroke the English player had suffered.
That was why Kika pulled her into a soft hug whispering into the ear. You deserve to be here so much, Ellie.â
âThanks. Iâm happy that I got to start with you two.â, the goalkeeper smiled at her new teammates.
âSame. Iâve a feeling this will be a fantastic first season for us.â, Ewa replied enthusiastically.
âAnd we got each other if itâs getting hard.â, the Portuguese striker added.
âYes, plus Iâm sure even grumpy will like you eventually, Kika.â, Ellie remarked.
Immediately the smile vanished from the brunetteâs face. âNot so sure about this. Apparently, I must have done something to her during our UWCL match last season.â
âBut you donât remember?â, Ewa questioned curiously. Quickly Kika shook her head.
âNo.â
Although she tried her hardest to think what the striker could have done which made you hate her so much. Usually everyone warmed up under Kikas positive radiance, but you were her first exception, following her into her dreams.
In training Kika and you were much to your dismay supposed to be partners.
âKika, I think Ill swap with Esmee.â, you declared.
âYou canât swap training partners.â, Mapi interjected in a tone which didnât allow any dissent.
âFine.â, you groaned. Even though you had played a few years in the first squad of Barca now aged 21 the defender was still like the big sister you never had, and you didnât want to disappoint her. Even if it meant you needed to work with the person you disliked.
âLooks like youâre stuck with me.â, Kika observed, wearing a huge smile on her lips.
âYes, with the one who showed me the middle finger last year.â, you muttered under her breath. Unfortunately, it was still loud enough for the striker to understand the words you were saying.
âI never did that!â, she objected loudly.
âYes, you did.â, you responded.
âNo way, Iâd never do that.â, Kika insisted.
âAnd when you said something about the way I played.â, your voice trembled.
âThatâs not true.â, the striker denied strongly.
âWhatâs true?â, you wanted to know.
âNothing of what you think happened is true!â, she stated passionately.
Hearing her statement made your heart pound hard against your chest. âAre you saying that this is all a huge misunderstanding?â
Obviously!â, Kika said with emphasis and the slightest undertone of anger.
âOh.â
You didnât know what else to say. Was she telling the truth? Did it really only look like it at the pitch? Was it a gesture to you or her own teammate?
All the Champions League games seemed to blur together in front of your inner eye. Now you werenât sure anymore.
âWait⊠so you donât hate me because Iâm here and could potentially take your place in the starting squad?â, Kika asked.
You frowned at her: âNo, we play two different positions. So why should I be afraid of that?â
âBecause I know that you like to push forward too.â, she explained.
You stalled once again. You found it impressive that she had already analyzed your playing style.
You shook your head: âYes. But I donât hate your for that. Iâm used to tough competition, Barca is my childhood club.â
âOkay⊠wow.â
âWhat?â
Kika started laughing: âI really thought you hated me because you had a good reason.â
At first you just glared at her for making fun of you but her laugh was incredibly infectious and you suddenly found yourself laughing with her.
âStop laughing. This is a good reason!â, you told her as you playfully hit her arm.
âThatâs not a good reason.â
âCome on. Focus on your exercise.â, you reminded her, still smiling.
Kika raised her hands defensively and grinned: âOkay, okay. Canât make you mad at me again.â
âNo. Also I have to maintain my grumpy status.â, you replied and tried your best to keep your face serious again.
Kika giggled: âSorry, of course.â
âGood.â
âDonât worry. I think I can handle your grumpiness.â
You squinted at her: âMight need some sunglasses to deal with your sunshiny attitude.â
âI know you love it.â, she winked at you. She really dared to wink at you!
You shook your head: âNo, youâre still the most annoying person around here.â
âYou donât mean that.â
She was right. You didnât.
Still, you continued to tease: âAre you sure?â
She flashed you a confident smile: âYes.â
âDream on.â
Kika shrugged casually and focused back on your partner exercise: âIf you say so, y/n.â
After your talk, you didnât feel that intense anger towards Kika anymore. Everything was a bit lighter once the misunderstanding was cleared up. It went even so far that you didnât react with pure disgust when she asked you to room together at your first pre-season match against Hoffenheim.
âCanât believe weâve to share a room, Kika.â, you joked as you sat on one of the beds.
Kika threw herself onto the other one: âQuit complaining, you grump.â
You shrugged with amusement: âAt least itâs just for one night.â
The Portuguese striker smiled: âYou will survive. Iâm a quiet sleeper.â
After you both changed into your pyjamas and brushed your teeth you happily let your head fall on to the soft pillow.
âGood night, Kika.â, you mumbled.
âNight y/n.â, the striker hummed.
Yet something was off, the heat in that southern part of Germany still hung in the room, plus Kika hasnât stopped moving in her bed.Â
âCanât you sleep?â, you asked her with a heavy sigh.
âNo, what about you?â, she returned the question, directing her gaze straight at you.
âMe neither.â, you admitted. There was some restlessness and tension between the two of you, it was almost unbearable.
âDo you want to talk?â, Kika offered kindly.
âSure.â, you agreed softly.
âSo, what keeps you up?â, the Portuguese wanted to know.
Even though the moonlight enhanced her features and made you think thoughts again you tried to avoid you started with a less heavy confession.
âThe adrenaline of the win. I think Iâll never get tired of that feeling, what about you?â
You waited for her response, did you imagine it or did her cheeks turn red, it was hard to tell in the dark.
âOh, yeah, I get that. I love it too. But thereâs something else that keeps me awake.â, the brunette replied nervously.
âThereâs? Are you missing Portugal?â, you listened up.
âA bit yes, but thatâs not it. This might be a bad start for the new season, but thereâs someone in this team that I think Iâve a crush on.â, Kika confessed.
âYou do?â, you answered stunned.
âYeah.â
For a moment you paused before the realization hit you hard.
âWait, itâs me, right?â
âItâs yes.â, she confirmed quietly.
âThatâs too bad because I.â, you begun.
âOh, you donât have to say anything, I get that. I didnât want to ruin anything.â, the striker interrupted you quickly.
âNo stop talking for a moment.â, you begged her, placing a finger of yours onto her lips. God, that woman really loved to talk, even though now the time clearly was for listening as you tried to demonstrate to her.
âI fell too.â, you added in a whisper.
âYou did? Am I not way too annoying for you.â, Kika frowned.
âYes, youâre and yet Iâd like to kiss your mouth who loves to annoy me with itâs yapping.â, you grinned.
âYou should give it a try maybe.â, she smirked.
âMaybe you can sleep better afterwards.â, you suggested playfully.
âMaybe we both can.â, your teammate wiggled her eyebrows.
âIâm sure of it.â First the kiss was cautiously before it was getting more intensely until you heard the door open loudly.
âOh my god!â, Mapi yelled.
âMapi, get out!â, you shrieked.
âI didnât see anything. Promise!â, the defender gesticulated wildly. With that said she was gone as quick as the older woman came.
âThis news will run like a wildfire, right?â, Kika chuckled.
âYes, by tomorrow morning everyone knows.â, you groaned as she pulled you into a hug.
âI donât mind that. They can know that grumpy and sunshine always belong together.â, she announced solemnly placing a soft kiss to your forehead.

Idol
Barcelona FemenĂ x Teen!Reader
Summary: You manage to humiliate yourself in front of everyone
Your first ever tournament with England ends in defeat.
Defeat to Spain by one goal.
You'd contributed well through the campaign, coming on as a super sub most matches.
You were still young, nearly sixteen and a half but still making waves in the Championship. You'd played at Bristol City, helping them secure promotion.
Then you'd gotten the call from Sarina to join her World Cup squad.
You'd happily accepted.
A natural midfielder, you'd tended to replace whoever needed to be replaced during the World Cup campaign and made waves with the amount of chances you'd created.
Most of them never came to anything, an intercepted pass or a save by the keeper.
But you still made chances, still unpicked midfields and defences like it was easy.
You were a talent, hidden away in the Championship where no one could see you.
You were adaptable, able to play wherever you were put, eager to get just ten minutes on the pitch to show off your skills.
You were a little bummed at hearing your friend Grace would be called away from Bristol City now they were in the wsl but you reckoned you'd still see each other during matches.
That had been the plan until Barcelona paid your release clause.
You'd only been signed to Bristol for one year, your first professional contract and you were already being transferred over to a different team.
To Barcelona.
That was the scary thing.
Their midfield was stacked. You'd even go so far as to say the best midfield in the world, at least in your humble opinion.
In your humble opinion as well, you'd never been more excited.
You were as English as they came but your father had worked in Spain straight out of university and only got interested in football because his coworkers dragged him out to a Barcelona game.
You'd have to thank them at some point, for igniting that love of football and Barcelona in him because it was the only reason he'd started you in football in the first place.
'My daughter will play for Barcelona one day' is what he'd said to people.
And here you were, practically trembling at Keira's side as you looked up at the building.
You'd come into the England team by yourself, not knowing anyone.
It's nice to know that you have Keira and Lucy here with you now. You don't think you would be able to cope with introducing yourself to such legendary players by yourself.
The nerves threaten to overtake you but you force yourself to stay strong. You force yourself not to show your new teammates how in awe of them you are.
"You'll do great, kid," Keira says to you, ruffling your hair.
"Just try not to embarrass yourself," Lucy teases," We know what you're like."
Your face flushes red and you look down.
"Lucy, leave her alone."
You both know what Lucy's referring to though.
You were a Barcelona supporter through and through but you had a great deal of respect for anyone that played in the midfield. You'd nearly thrown up all over Keira and Georgia when you first met them, mindlessly blurting out their statistics from last season that you'd memorised from watching all of their games before the embarrassment set into your bones.
It was nearly the most embarrassing moment of your life, second only that time when you had accidentally knocked both you and Grace out at training by trying to head the ball at the same time as her.
Lucy and Keira were sworn to secrecy over the first matter and you knew they wouldn't betray you to anyone who wasn't English.
Both times were humiliating but, at least, at Barcelona it was a fresh start.
Or, it would have been an embarrassment-free fresh start had you not completely humiliated yourself the moment Alexia Putellas shook your hand.
"You'reonmywall!"
The words rush out of your mouth before you can even stop them and Lucy bursts into hysterical laughter.
Keira catches your shocked expression as you turn to look at her, brows shooting up to your hairline and eyes wide like you can't even understand why you opened your mouth in the first place. It would have been better if you pretended to be mute.
Alexia Putellas cocks her head to the side curiously.
"What was that?"
Fuck.
She even sounds understanding.
"I...er...It's nothing."
"She said that you're on her wall," Lucy, the traitor, says once she's recovered from her laughter.
Somehow, your face burns even brighter and you hide away behind Keira.
"On her wall?"
"As a poster," Lucy confirms, nodding," She collects them."
"Please stop. Keira, make her stop," You beg but Keira just soothingly pats you on the back.
"No accounting for taste," Patri Guijarro teases, laughing herself as her hand falls onto your shoulder," Is it just Ale on your wall?"
"I..."
"Lots of different players," Keira says, saving you from embarrassing yourself further yet somehow managing to still humiliate you," Not just Alexia."
"Is it a good picture of me?" Patri asks, already assuming there's a poster of her somewhere up in your childhood bedroom," Did it catch my best side? Because some photographers don't, you know."
"Am I on it too?" Pina asks," I don't think there's enough posters of me. I should be on more people's walls."
"It was a group poster. Everyone's on it," You manage to force out of your mouth.
"Except the Alexia poster," Keira, to your horror, keeps talking," That one's solo."
"Keira!"
This whole situation is super humiliating and you can't make eye contact with anyone.
A finger taps your shoulder though and it's rude not to look at someone when they want to talk to you so you have to force your eyes up.
Alexia Putellas is the one that tapped you and your throat bobs nervously.
"I am on your wall?"
"Yes?"
"You play midfield, right?"
"I do."
"I thought so," She says," When I heard we were signing you, I watched some of your games. You had some good ones during the World Cup. You were Bristol City's playmaker."
You nod. "I...Er, that's what they said, yeah."
Her hand goes over your shoulders.
"You have a lot of talent but you hesitate too much. You could have scored in the World Cup final if you hadn't passed the ball. Come on, I have a few tricks I think will work well for you."

Hesitation - CC
Pairing: Caitlin Clark x Reader
Summary: Carrying a lot of baggage, Caitlin's patience shows you there is hope (based on THIS request)
Warnings: Caitlin with kids (yes in my mind this is a warning)
Word Count: 4.7k
Sweetbans Masterlist
AN: Our girl is too cute when it comes to kids...tell me I'm wrong. This is also set in like 2027...
"Mommy! Come on, Mommy!" Carson yells as he is dragging you through a crowd of people trying to get to the front of the crowd. The grip you have on his hand is frightening, you could feel his little hand begin to slip out of yours.
"Baby, slow down," you say in a rush as your heart begins to race. His hand completely leaves yours as you begin to panic.
"Carson!" You yell pushing past people. You can feel your throat closing as more seconds pass without Carson by your side. You mutter 'excuse me' as you continue to make your way up to the railing. When you reach the railing, Carson is nowhere to be seen.
You eyes frantically scan the crowd, looking for you little boy. When your eyes land on his curly hair you feel your whole body ease. You watch as he turns around and looks at to ground as you approach him.
Running up to him and sweeping him into your arms, you finally are able to breath.
"Sweetie, you can't run away like that," you say as his arms come to wrap around his neck. "Are you okay? You scared me baby." You are too caught up in the moment to see who is standing in front of you.
"I'm sorry Mommy," you little boy says. "But look!" Carson yells as he swings and points at someone. You are still too caught up in making sure he is truly okay. The time you were away from him wasn't enough for something to happen but your mind went to the worst case scenario.
"I would have made sure he got back to you," a voice says and your eyes finally meet.
You stand there speechless as the Fever guard looks at you with a soft smile.
"It's Clarky!" Carson yells in excitement. Caitlin smiles at the nickname coming from the little boy.
"I'm Caitlin," she says as she extends a hand. It is extended for an awkward amount of time before your hand meets her. You laugh at the fact that she introduces herself when the whole arena knows exactly who she is. You introduce yourself and then Carson.
Caitlin's only thought is how soft your hands are. She hears her name being called by Lyss as they are about to be called out.
"Well, it was nice meeting you Caitlin. Good luck," you say.
"Go Clarky!" Carson yells, causing Caitlin to give off a goofy grin. As she walks back to the court she can't help but look back where you were standing. She sees you walking back to your seat, making note of where you were heading, and sees Carson waving at her. Caitlin offers the little boy a wave as his head drops to your shoulder.
Caitlin doesn't know why but her heart swells. She turns away smiling once again as she thinks about how Clarky might be her favorite nickname.
The game is the most exciting of the season yet. You watch as Caitlin and Aliyah lead the Fever to another win in Gainbridge. Carson, like every game, having the time of his life. After the team secures the dub, Carson is asking if he can go back down to the railing.
"You already got her autograph baby," you tell him.
"I wanna give Claky a high-five," Carson says. You lean over to him and adjust his glasses that are slightly crooked and smile at him. How could you say no to his cute little face.
"Okay, but you are staying right by my side," you say as you lead Carson down to the railing next to the team's tunnel.
You put Carson right in front of you as your legs box him in against the railing. He sticks his little arm out and you see his hand rotate back and forth as he waits for the team to walk past. You can't help but smile at your boy as the team begins to walk by.
Lexie is the first to give him a high-five, then followed by KLS. One by one the Fever team heads back, Caitlin being one of the last to make her way through the tunnel.
Caitlin is typically one of the first people back to the locker but she took her time on the court greeting people and secretly scanning the crowd. She takes time looking at the section she saw you make your way back to only to come up empty handed.
When she finally decides to give up, she makes her way back when she stops to sign a few more autographs. Rarely looking up as she makes her way down the line. That is until she is met with a little hand and a familiar nickname.
"Clarky!" Carson yells with a smile that could turn anyones bad day into a good one.
"Carson!" Caitlin yells in equal excitement.
"Mommy! Clarky knows me name," Carson says with pure excitement. You look down at him and rustle his hair.
"She does sweetie," you say.
Caitlin turns to her security and whispers something to them and they give her a nod.
"Hey Carson, how would you like to come and meet the Fever team?" Caitlin says and then looks up at you. "But only if Mommy is okay with that."
Hearing Caitlin refer to you as Mommy has more of an affect on you than you ever realized it would. You know it is completely innocent, but you feel your cheeks heat up.
"Mommy, can I? Can I?" Carson is jumping up and down and pulling at the bottom of your shirt.
"And you would be there too, of course," Caitlin says, her eyes meeting yours. You keep the contact for a second - everything else falling away and you know you are in trouble. You slowly nod and before you know it security is leading you through the tunnel.
Carson's hand is in yours as he swings your connected arms in excitement. Caitlin wants to get in on the action but doesn't want to overstep. That is until Carson's free hand comes and grabs Caitlin's, starting to swing the newly connected pair.
Caitlin can't help but smile as she lets Carson swing away. The trio walks into the locker room and Carson's eyes light up.
"Team, we have some visitors," Caitlin says. Lexie is the first to come up and introduce herself. The team come up one by one saying hi and having little conversations with Carson. You watch as Carson is on cloud nine.
While you are watching Carson, Caitlin is watching you. She watches how you smile any time Carson smiles. She watches how you are never more than an arms length from the little guy. She watches as your hands run through his curls and she wonders what it would be like to have such soft hands run through her own hair.
"Okay baby, I think we should let the team get to their meeting. Can you say thank you to everyone?" You tell Carson and he lets out a giant 'thank you'. In the few minutes you have been there, the whole team has fallen in love with Carson and his quirky personality. He balances the quirkiness and sweetness well.
"I'll walk you out," Caitlin says, not wanting your time to be up just yet.
The three of you walk out and she stops right before heading back out to the court.
"Thank you for this, it was not necessary but I know you have made Carson's whole year," you say to Cait. She smiles at the thought.
"Of course, I love getting to do things like this," Caitlin says as she watches Carson look at the basketball the team had signed and given him. "You have a special one there."
You smile at Caitlin's words, a fact you knew since the day he was born.
"I know, don't know what I did to deserve him," you say looking at Carson with so much love in your eyes.
Caitlin takes the moment to look at you, she feels like she could look at you forever. She looks down but doesn't see a ring on your left hand and decides to be bold.
"I'd like to see you again," Caitlin says, eyes now back to yours.
"Well we are season pass holders, so I am sure Carson will be looking to give you another high-five," you say with a little laugh, thinking back to how a high-five led to meeting the whole team.
"I don't mean at a game," Caitlin says, hoping you would take the hint.
You look at her, head tilting a little but then realizing what she was was saying.
You let out a nervous laugh.
"Just think about it," Caitlin says as she hands you a little piece of paper with her number on it. You hesitate but end up taking it.
Before you can say anything, Carson comes running to hug Caitlin's legs.
Caitlin leans down and gives your boy a real hug.
You say your final thank yous and goodbyes before parting ways.
That night, after putting Carson down, you lay in bed looking at the piece of paper. Your phone is next to you but you haven't moved to pick it up. You just stare at the 10 digits. It was a bad idea. Thinking back to your last relationship and the fact that you are no longer thinking just for yourself, decided it was a bad idea. You put the piece of paper on your side table along with your phone and get some much needed sleep.
You can't take Carson to the next few Fever games which you feel bad about but have plans to go to the next one in a few days.
You have the day off and decide to take Carson to the park. You are watching him on the playground when you feel someone come up and take a seat next to you. You give a quick glance then turn your gaze back to Carson. It isn't until a moment after that you realize it is a familiar face.
"Hi there," a smiling Caitlin Clark says.
"Hi," you say with a polite smile.
"You never called," she says, her eyes never leaving yours.
You turn to get eyes on Carson and also to ease the tension Caitlin is so clearly bringing into the conversation.
"You told me to think about it and I did," you say remembering your thoughts.
"And you didn't call," Caitlin says, trying to hide her disappointment.
"Well, even though I didn't call, you got your wish," you say with a little smile. A smile makes its way to Caitlin and she nods.
"I did," Caitlin says. "And I am glad considering you didn't call."
You roll your eyes as you see Carson run over.
"Clarky!" Carson yells as he practically throws himself at Caitlin.
"Hey little man!" Caitlin says matching his energy.
You sit there and watch as Carson tells Cait all about his imaginary world that he build while being at the park. Before you know it, he is running back to the slides and it is you and Caitlin alone again.
"Carson really likes you," you say to Caitlin as Carson waves back to the two of you, knowing he is really just waving at Cait.
"I like him, he is a sweetheart," she says. "How old is he?"
"He's 5," you say looking at your little boy.
"And how long have you and his dad been together?" Caitlin asks boldly. She doesn't know what it is about you but she has now made several bold moves with you.
"Wouldn't you like to know?" You say teasing the girl.
"I would, that's why I asked," she says with a little laugh. You like her laugh.
"Carson's dad and I are not together, haven't been since before Carson made his debut," you say.
"Oh, I'm sorry," she says and you shrug.
"What happened?" Caitlin's curiosity getting the better of her.
Before you can answer, Carson is running over telling you he is hungry. Caitlin sees your time coming to an end. She helps as you pack up your stuff.
"It was great seeing you," you tell Caitlin.
"Can Clarky come to lunch with us?" Carson asks. Caitlin gives you a look, waiting to follow your lead.
"Oh Sweetie, I don't think today is a good day," you say and Caitlin hides her disappointment well.
"Next time?" Carson asks.
"Maybe next time baby," you tell him as you ruffle his hair. He nods with a smile.
You look over at Caitlin.
"When do I get to see you again?" Caitlin asks.
"You are a persistent little thing," you say but give the girl props.
"It's all Carson," she says.
"And to think I thought you wanted to see me," you tease.
Caitlin liking the light flirting going on between the two of you, reaches up and brushes a strand of hair that the wind blew across your face. You freeze as she fixes it, then brushes her thumb across your cheek.
"We will be at the game this weekend," you say and Caitlin smiles.
"Another chance for me to ask you out," she says. You shake your head with a little laugh.
"Bye Caitlin," you say as you and Carson make your way home.
"Bye Clarky!" Carson yells with an adorable wave.
"Bye little man!" Caitlin waves back.
"Mommy! Clarky called me lit-tle man," Carson says to you with a giant smile.
Caitlin hears Carson's remark and can't help but watch you until you are out of sight. She makes her way back to her apartment and opens up IG. She heads to her recent search history and clicks on your profile. She scrolls through the photos and clicks on a photo of you and Carson laughing. She looks at how much joy each of you holds and only hopes to be apart of that in the future.
Saturday rolls around and the Fever are back in Gainbridge. You decide to take Carson to the game early to watch the team warm up. You are surprised as each member of the team comes up to give Carson a high-five and say hi to him.
Caitlin comes over and messes up Carson's hair.
"Little man! How would you like to come out onto the court?" Caitlin asks and Carson lights up brighter than a Christmas tree. He nods his head with speed. Caitlin looks at you for approval and you nod. She lifts Carson over the handrail and takes his hand as they jog over to the court.
You watch as Caitlin passes him a ball which he begins to dribble in a circle. She helps him with his form and tells him to pass it to her. Carson throws the ball at Caitlin and she puts it up, draining a three. Carson runs around cheering and you take you phone out to record the moment.
You watch as Caitlin is practically perfect with Carson and it makes you question why you are still hesitant to let Caitlin into your life.
Caitlin brings Carson back over, leaning on the rail after passing Carson back to you. He sit in his seat as you give him an apple sauce.
"That was very sweet," you say.
"You'll have to send me that video," Caitlin says, happy you will finally have a reason to use the number she gave you.
"Okay Clark," you say and she holds her hand up.
"It is Clarky to you," she says with a smile. You return the smile.
"Okay, Clarky," you say. "If you put up 30 points this game, I'll do you one better."
She quirks her eyebrow, intrigued by your proposal.
"Put up 30 and I'll use your number to set up dinner," you say and Caitlin lights up.
"A date?" Caitlin asks with a wide smile on her face.
"Dinner," you clarify, still hesitant but willing.
"Deal, I will take what I can get," she says. You extend your hand to shake on it and Caitlin meets you half way. Her thumb rubbing the soft skin of your hand before letting it go.
Caitlin returns to the court and the game begins. She has 11 in the first quarter and you can see the work she is putting in. You would like to think you played a little part in her dominant start but don't get your hopes up.
Caitlin has her 30 points in the third and you sit in the fact that you are going to be scheduling dinner with the all-star.
The game ends with the Fever win. You don't wait around at the end of the game due to both your hunger and Carson's. Caitlin looks everywhere for the two of you but never finds you - she would be lying if she said she wasn't disappointed.
It is later that evening when Caitlin hears her phone go off.
[Unknown number: Looks like I owe you dinner]
[Clarky: Looks like you do]
[Clarky: What did you have in mind?]
[Carson's Mom: Do you have plans tomorrow?]
[Clarky: I'm all yours]
You send a time and address. When that time rolls around Caitlin is knocking on your door.
She had actually arrived about 15 minutes ago but sat in her car when she realized she would be having dinner at your house. Part of her was glad that you had chosen a private place to have dinner, so private in fact that the typical wave of anxiousness that she felt about leaked media went flying out the window. But the other part of her was nervous, she hasn't dated anyone since her rookie year.
Once the door opens, Caitlin is met with what at first glance seems like no one.
"Clarky!" Carson yells as he immediately hugs her legs.
"Hi," she says with a little laugh and rubs his back.
"You got me flowers???" He says with pure joy. Caitlin looks at the flowers in her hands and nods. As much as she was hoping you would be answering the door, her heart couldn't help but swell at seeing the excitement on Carson's face.
"I did," she says and she hands him the flowers. Carson runs back to what she imagines to be the kitchen yelling 'mommy' several times. Caitlin closes the door and follows.
When Caitlin sees you in the kitchen, she feels like she could fall in love with you.
"Caitlin!" You say with just as much excitement as Carson did when he answered the door.
Yes, Caitlin is indeed falling in love with you.
"Mommy, Clarky got me flowers." Carson says, showing her the bouquet.
"Wow, those are beautiful. I wish someone got me flowers like that," you say. Caitlin holds back her comment of how she chose this specific bouquet because when she saw it, it reminded her of your smile and the joy it brings her.
"Don't worry Mommy, we can share," Carson says as he hands you the bouquet.
"Thank you baby," you say and them in a vase with water.
Caitlin looks around and by the looks of it, there hasn't been much cooking yet.
"So, Caitlin, have you ever made pasta before?" You ask, setting the the vase down on the table.
"I have not, but I have a feeling I am going to tonight," she says playfully.
"You would be correct," you say and hand her an apron.
The three of you spend the night making pasta and enjoying each others company. You show Caitlin how homemade pasta isn't too hard to make and Carson shows her how good he is a kneading the dough. You through a sauce together as Caitlin and Carson watch over the pasta and set the table. Dinner itself was delicious and the three of you sat around the table laughing and talking about all of Carson's favorite things. When it is time for you to put Carson down, he gives Caitlin a big hug and whispers something in her ear. It causes Cait to smile and whisper something back to him before you swoop him up and take him away.
As you are tucking him in, you ask him what he said to Caitlin.
"I told her I wish we could do this forever," Carson days with a tired smile. "I like having Clarky around, she is funny." Carson then rolls over and your rub his back as she drifts to sleep.
As you sit there rubbing Carson's back, you can't help but think about what it would be like if this was the normal. It has been so long since you have done life with someone other than Carson and you were terrified of changing that. Even in your fear, Caitlin has showed you no reason not to trust her but then again so did Carson's dad.
You head back to the kitchen to see Caitlin drying dishes.
"You didn't have to do that," you say taking a stack of plates and putting them away.
"It's a rule of thumb, one person cooks while the other cleans," she says lightly.
"But we all cooked," you say and she shrugs.
A comfortable silence falls between the two of you. Once the dishes are dried and put away, you grab two wine glasses and grab a bottle.
"Care to join me on the porch?" You ask her and she nods with a smile.
"I would love nothing more," she says following you.
The two of you are sitting on the porch siping wine, looking out at the quiet neighborhood you live in.
"I really enjoyed this not date," Caitlin says which earns her a laugh from you.
"I also really enjoyed this not date," you say. The two of you are sitting side by side on your porch swing. Caitlins arm is slightly touching yours but stays at a respectable distance. A comfortable silence sets in again as Caitlin begins to slowly swing the two of you. You lean into her a little which encourages her to bring her arm up, wrapping it around your shoulder as you lean into her more. It's comfortable.
"You scare me," you say breaking the silence.
Caitlin doesn't say anything, but she begins to brush her thumb along your arm.
"Not necessarily you but the idea of you scares me," you say. "Carson's dad left me when he graduated and I was going into my senior year of college. No warning, no explanation, just decided that one day he was done. It was right after I had found out I was pregnant with Carson."
Caitlin squeezes your arm but remains silent, listening to every word you say.
"I decided not to tell him about the pregnancy because I couldn't stand the thought of him only staying because there was a baby involved. He made it clear he was done with me. My parents told me I needed to tell him since he was the father but when I finally mustered up the courage to tell him, he was already dating somebody else. After having Carson, my life changed for the better. I tried dating a little when Carson was a toddler but being a single mom was a big turn off for a lot of people. It was then that I realized I didn't want or need anyone else because it would be me and Carson against the world."
"I have gotten so comfortable with it being just the two of us. I also know how much people cycling in and out of a child's life can affect them. Carson is such a sweet boy that I would do anything and everything I can to make sure he has what he needs. He pushes me to be a better mom and better person. He understands so much and just enjoys life. He is my reason."
"You scare me because Carson is getting comfortable with you. He's getting comfortable with you and it terrifies me because I don't want there to be a day when I have to tell him we won't ever see you again. It is early enough now that he would remember you but not be too attached, but if I do open up our lives and you enter, I am terrified of how that would affect the two of us. Carson has never experienced heartbreak and he shouldn't have to until he is old enough to date for himself."
You shift to look at Caitlin.
"You scare me because of how amazing you are with him. You don't treat him like he's a child but bring lift him up. You scare me because every time I see you with my son I think about what life would be like if that was the normal. You scare me because I have never felt the way I feel with you, you scare me Caitlin."
You are looking in her eyes and she can see the sorrow and love and conflict all swirling in your eyes. Her arm comes down to hold your hand. You look down at her intertwining her fingers with yours.
"Your fears are real and understandable. You aren't just thinking about you and I completely respect that. I am not here to storm into you life and then leave it once I am satisfied. You are not someone I want to be casual with. I don't want a fling. You are someone I want to pursue."
"I know we are just getting to know each other and we are in a fragile state because you are right, you are not just thinking about yourself, you are also thinking about the best little man this world has ever seen. But even in the little time that we have had with one another, I know you are worth pursuing. I don't plan on going anywhere and we will take this as slow as you want."
"Slow is good," you say looking at her in awe. The fear and anxiety you were feeling have has been suffocated by Caitlin's understanding.
"I can do slow," she says.
You look in her eyes and decide to be bold. You remove her hand from yours, taking both of your wine glasses and putting them on the ground. When your eyes meet hers again you bring your hand up to cup her cheek. Leaning in, you kiss her.
Caitlin's hand finds your neck, pulling you in closer to her as your hand falls to her chest. You pull away from her, just long enough to take in her beauty before kissing her again with a little more heat than before. She pulls you onto her, your legs straddling her on the swing.
Her hands massaging your waist as yours find their way to her hair. Cait's fingers slip under the bottom of your shirt touching your warm skin. You pull apart from her, leaving you both breathing heavy.
"I'm sorry," you say as your begin to move off of her but her grip on your hips tightens. She shakes her head no as she pulls you in for a hug. She wraps arms around you as you lean into her. The two of you stay pressed against each other.
When you finally part it is past midnight.
"I had a really great time tonight," Caitlin says.
"I did too," you say with a light smile.
Caitlin pulls you in for a hug and you let her. She kisses the top of your head.
"I know this was a not-date but I was hoping I could take you out on a real date, when you are ready of course," she says and you let out a little laugh.
"I would like that very much," you say and Caitlin smiles. She wants to kiss you again and you can see that in her eyes. You pat her chest and part from her, taking a few steps back. She feels empty without you in her arms.
"Slow Clarky," you say, now standing in the doorframe.
"Llke I said, I can do slow," she says. "But that doesn't mean it won't be hard."
You blow her a kiss and watch her leave. You close your front door and smile.

Sweet and Sour
Summary: Alexia comes home from that game to a sick reader. Comfort and fluff ensues.
(okay theres a bit of angst as well, i couldn't help myself, im sorry đ)
----------------
Alexia didnât know whether to cry, to yell, or to hurl a water bottle against the nearest surface. They had lost. Barça had lost. Their first defeat of the season could not have come at a more dangerous time, in the first leg of the Champions League Semi-Final.Â
It was their first home defeat in five years, as well.
And to add salt to the wound, you werenât around. You werenât at the game today. You were at home, incredibly ill to the point where looking at a screen hurt your brain. You werenât there for Alexia to cling onto, to reassure her that everything would come up blaugrana at the end of the day.
At least, though, you were at home, getting better for the second leg. Youâd save them, Alexia told herself, as she applauded the fans for coming and attending. The fans deserved better than whatever the hell that performance was out there.
God, it kept replaying in her head. That miss. That fucking miss.
She couldâve levelled it, put her team on some somewhat stable ground for the away leg at Stamford Bridge. A part of her shattered when that ball went wide, it took majority of her willpower to get right back up afterwards.Â
The little head-slaps she usually gave Vicky were lighter now, only just. As much as Alexia would love to give Jona a piece of her mind (sheâd do that tomorrow at the latest), you were waiting for her at home.Â
The mere thought nearly brought her to her knees.Â
Though she knew that you would understand, that you would be the usual radiating beam of positivity that you always were despite feeling like you got hit by a truck, a part of her feared that youâd be disappointed, not just of the team, but of her.
Alexia was brought out of her thoughts as Jona walked into the locker room. The usual post-match speeches were given, but a chunk of Alexiaâs brain was just all mush after that game. It was mostly a blur, and she could hardly remember what she had said in her own speech. Thankfully, she didnât need to do media. The last thing she needed right now, especially in her current headspace, was for some reporters trying to bait her into making a scathing comment.
She wanted to go home to you. And at the same time, she didnât.
The team bus was mostly silent on the way back to the training ground, a few of the girls conversing in hushed tones, some faint music coming from the back of the bus. Alexia hadnât texted you yet. You needed the sleep, so you could get better and get back to the team.
Salmaâs head was on her shoulder, the girl having fallen asleep a few minutes into the bus ride. Alexiaâs heart went out to the girl, and she had encouraged her to keep her head up.Â
The minutes went by like a blur, and before Alexia knew it, they were back at the training ground. The radio played faintly in her car as she drove back to your shared home, making a quick stop at the pharmacy to pick up your antibiotics, since the pharmacist had called her to let her know that your required dose for tonight was ready.
The first thing Alexia noticed when she got home was the smell of soup. You mustâve made some boxed instant soup or something, her thoughts confirmed when she saw the box and the seasoning packets. There was still some soup left in the pot on the stove. Well, there was dinner sorted.
She set the bag from the pharmacy down on the kitchen counter before heading upstairs to check on you. She quietly entered the bedroom, and saw you curled up in bed, your breathing steady and peaceful. She smiled softly, grateful to see you resting. You could be a little stubborn at times.
Carefully, she approached the bed and sat down beside you, reaching out to gently brush a strand of hair from your face, also gently holding her hand against your forehead to check on your fever. Thankfully, it wasnât that bad anymore.
âHey, amor,â she whispered, her voice barely above a murmur. âIâm home.â
You stirred slightly, blinking sleepily as you looked up at her. âHey, pretty girl,â you murmured, clearing your throat and sitting up a bit so you could lean against the headboard. âHow are you? How was the game?â
Alexia hesitated for a moment, trying to find the right words. She didn't want to disappoint you with the loss, especially when you were just starting to feel better.
âIt was... challenging,â she said finally, hating how small she sounded. âBut you know how it is. Win some, lose some.â
Your brow furrowed slightly, concern flickering in your eyes. You knew your girlfriend the same way you knew how to breathe. There was no way sheâd ever use the words âwin some, lose someâ to describe a game, especially a Champions League semi-final, at home no less.Â
ââYou studied her for a moment, your eyes searching her face. âLex, what's wrong?â you asked gently, sensing her reluctance to talk about it.
Alexia hesitated, her heart heavy with the weight of her missed chance, chewing a little on the inside of her cheek. âI... I had a chance to level the score,â she confessed, her voice barely above a whisper. âBut I missed.â
Your heart broke then and there, not because of the loss at all. Your girlfriend, the Alexia Putellas and the two-time Ballon Dâor winner looked so⊠small in front of you. Your expression softened with understanding, and you reached out to take her hand in yours. âHey, it's okay,â you said soothingly, your voice filled with reassurance. âThatâs football, love.â
Alexia noticed you shift closer to her a bit, your thumb stroking the back of her hand gently. You were keeping your distance a bit, not wanting to get your girlfriend sick, even more so now.
âBut it was such an important game,â Alexia said, her voice trembling with emotion. âAnd I let everyone down.â
You shook your head, gently squeezing her hand. âYou didn't let anyone down, Lex. You gave it your all out there, and that's all anyone can ask for. We win and lose as a team,â Alexia wasnât looking at you, but you were looking at her, studying her. You could see her biting her bottom lip to keep herself from crying in front of you. âMi vida, mĂrame.â
Alexia nibbled on her lip some more, before shaking her head. Your hand left hers, reaching up to gently hold her chin and encourage her to look at you. âAle, mi niña bonita. Please look at me.â
She let you turn her face to face yours, and your thumb immediately reaching up to wipe away the tears that were escaping the corners of those gorgeous hazel eyes.
Your heart ached for her. She looked so vulnerable in that moment, and it pained you to see her so torn up over the match. âAlexia, listen to me,â you said, your voice firm but gentle as you wiped away her tears, albeit a little croaky as well. âYou are so much more than just one missed chance. You are strong, talented, and resilient. And no matter what happens on the field, I am always going to be proud of you.â
Alexia's breath caught in her throat as she looked into your eyes, seeing nothing but love and admiration reflected back at her. âIâm sorry,â she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion.
âDon't apologise, amor,â you said softly, shaking your head. âYou have nothing to be sorry for.â
Alexia shook her head, a shaky sigh escaping her lips. âI just... I hate feeling like I disappointed the team, the fans⊠and you.â
You reached out, cupping her cheek gently in your hand. âYou didn't let anyone down, Ale,â you insisted, completely sure of what you were saying. âYou're an incredible player and an amazing captain. And I couldn't be prouder of youââ
You doubled over, turning your head away to cough into your arm, your other hand patting your chest.Â
âAmor,â Alexia all but jumped to your side, hand rubbing your back despite you trying to keep her at a distance so that she didnât get sick.
âIâmâŠâ Another stream of coughs escaped you, and Alexia pulled away briefly to pour you a glass of water. âIâm fine, Ale, thank you.â
You accepted the glass, taking a few sips to soothe the irritation you felt in your throat, massaging it gently. âMaybe you should take some medicine,â she suggested, worry evident for your health.
âAfter this,â you set the glass on the bedside table, grabbing Alexiaâs hands again and getting her to sit beside you. âIt's okay to feel disappointed, Lex, but don't let one moment define you. You are capable of so much more than you realise, and I know you know that.â
Tears continued to stream down Alexia's cheeks, but there was a glimmer of hope in her eyes as she listened to your words. âI just want to make you proud,â she admitted, her voice slightly above a whisper, sounding more like herself now.
âOh, bebita,â you murmured, your voice soft just like your smile as you bunched up your sleeve, wiping at Alexiaâs cheeks. âYou already make me proud every single day.â
Alexia sniffled, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. âEven when I miss crucial chances in important games?â
âEven then,â you replied without hesitation, your gaze locked with hers. âBecause you give your all out there, and you never give up. You always fight, and fight to make up for it.â
âYou always know just what to say,â she whispered, a soft sigh escaping her as she looked at you.
âWhat can I say? Iâm just so wise,â you replied, pulling a face, making Alexia chuckle and lightly shove your shoulder. âHey, no bullying the weak and feeble!â
âYou arenât f-fuhâ?â Alexia tried to copy your pronunciation, and with each attempt, your smile grew. âAmor!â
âWhat?âÂ
âDonât do that.â
âDo what?â
âJustâŠâ Alexia put her hands on your shoulders. âYouâre not weak.â
âI know, mi amor, I know. You arenât either,â you put one of your hands on top of one of hers, gently caressing her knuckles. âWeâre still in it. Weâve been here before, no?â You looked at her knowingly, yet so softly and so full of love.
âMhm,â she hummed, her smile getting bigger.
âWe just need a bit of faith and trust. No matter what happens, win or lose, youâre one of the most amazing people in my life,â you reached out to run your hand through Alexiaâs hair, still a bit damp from her post-match shower. âWant me to brush your hair?â
âI want you⊠to take your medicine,â Alexia said with a smile, and you groaned.
âIs it the tablets?â
Alexia pursed her lips as she stood up, stifling a smile as she held out her hands for you to help yourself up out of bed.
âAmor,â you whined, kicking your feet a little like a child being denied ice cream from a street vendor.
âCome on, my tough and pretty and sexy girl,â Alexia wiggled her fingers. âYou can handle a few pills, lovely.â
âI told you that a few months ago, and you banished me to an air mattress on the floor because you didnât want me catching whatever bug you had,â You held onto her hands, standing up. Alexiaâs large hands patted your waist a little before holding you gently. It was an adorable habit of hers. âAnd then, you proceeded to beg for me to come to bed with you just because you couldnât stand being apart from me for the night.â
âCome, come,â Alexia had a smile on her face as you went on your little rant, leading you down the stairs to your inevitable fate of having to ingest some pills. You hated the feeling of pills in your throat, even when you took them with water. âDonât be stubborn.â
âAlexia, donât be mean to me, I am ill,â you stopped at the bottom step, Alexia looking up at you slightly, tilting her head and smiling at the sight of you pouting.
 You grumbled when she wrapped her arms around your waist and picked you up into her arms, begrudgingly wrapping your legs around her waist to hold onto her as she carried you into the kitchen, âBe careful, you played a rough half of football.â
Alexia glanced at you, brow furrowed. You werenât supposed to be on your phone or any technology for that matter.
âMapi called,â you smiled innocently, fingers scratching her scalp, the midfielder closing her eyes at the feeling briefly. âItâs been a while since she used short sentences.â Alexia winced. âToo soon, yep, sorry.â
âThe doctor said you need to have three tabletsââ Alexia braced herself for the mush of words that were about to come out of your mouth.
âAmor!â

# TALK THAT TALK TO ME ALL NIGHT
pairing: paige bueckers x uconn cheerleader!reader
word count: 849
warnings: none !
summary: your first personal encounter with uconnâs favorite athlete goes surprisingly smooth.
â from lani: my first fic on tumblr! hope yâall like it pls donât be mean lmaoo
masterlist !
YOUR WHITE SNEAKERS squeak against the slick floors of the gym hallways as the distant sound of excited fans and booming music fills your ears.
tonight is senior night for uconnâs womenâs basketball team and cheerleading squad, so there are plenty of supporters in the stands to show their love and pride.
clad in your freshly steamed cheer outfit and full face of game day makeup, you swiftly make your way to one of the dressing rooms to get your hair done before heading out to the gym floor.
the door is slightly cracked open, omitting a sliver of light and mumbles of vibrant conversations over upbeat music. peeking your head in, you search the almost crowded room for your usual hair stylist, kayla (an angel on earth, truly).
âkayla? are you in here?â
paige is scrolling mindlessly on her phone as she waits for her hair to be done, occasionally liking and commenting on a few posts. she swipes past a few edits of herself and her team, but pauses to watch a clip of -
ây/n! come on in, iâm almost done here so iâll be over to help you as soon as i finish!â kayla shouts back.
i know that name, paige thinks.
looking up from the phone in her lap, she nearly drops it on the floor, doing a double take as she catches a glimpse of the girl kayla is talking to. she knows who you are, of course, youâve only been her resident sideline crush since the start of the season.
a slight blush creeps onto her face as she quickly scans your frame, paying very close attention to how your legs look in your skirt, how your eyes are highlighted by your bright makeup, how shiny and smooth your lips look.
as you make your way over to where sheâs sitting, she clears her throat and regains her composure, subconsciously straightening her shoulders.
âhey, kayla, howâre you doing?â you say with a slight nod, friendly grin stretched across your face.
âiâm doin good, y/n,â kayla responds with a similar smile, âiâm basically done with paige here so you can just wait right there.â
with a hum of agreement you decide to lean against the vanity in front of the two girls as you acknowledge the blonde in the chair, a recognizable audio playing from her phone.
âyou a fan?â
paige almost doesnât notice you speaking to her, still slightly stuck in a daze and trying to comprehend that youâre within arms reach to her.
âwhat?â she replies, brows slightly furrowed.
you point to her screen, calling attention to the video on it: a clip of you warming up with your team, a tiny mic clipped to your uniform picking up your jokes and quips.
paige tilts her head down to her lap, finally registering what you were talking about. she quickly shuts off her phone with a slight laugh.
âoh that? it just popped up on my for you page, you know how it is.â
âmhm..â you say with a teasing smirk, âbueckers, right? number five?â
âyeah. youâre y/n? l/n?â you nod back to her. âiâve seen you courtside at games.â
âoh yeah? so you are a fan?â
more than you know, she thinks.
âjust a bit. what about you? i always seem to hear your voice louder than others whenever i happen to make a bucket.â
âi think youâre confusing me with one of the other girls.â
âam i?â
no, you think. youâve always had your eye on paige, but you didnât realize how much it showed on the court until now.
âalright, paige, close your eyes real quick for me,â kayla interjects before you can respond.
she obliges, shutting her eyes so she can apply a layer of hairspray to the her hair. you take the opportunity to observe her position.
wearing the complete husky basketball uniform, her legs are slightly spread, hips pushed forwards as she sits relaxed against the chair. one of her hands is loosely clutched around her phone that is now facing down, the other resting on her thigh riding up her shorts to expose a little more skin than normal.
as your eyes make their way back up to her face, you make eye contact with those icy blue eyes youâve grown quite fond of over the past few months. realizing sheâs caught you checking her out, she smirks and gets up from the chair unintentionally inching close to you.
âso iâll see you out there? hopefully still being my biggest fan?â she teases, throwing a small wink your way.
âfor sure,â you say, âbut maybe iâll try cheering for muhl this time around, just to switch it up.â
âwhatever you say, l/n, i think we both know whoâs more worthy of your attention.â
âoh really now? do i know her?â
âyou could if you wanted to.â
suddenly a small piece of paper is slipped into your hand, long fingers brushing against yours for a second (a second that drives you crazy).
did paige bueckers just give me her number?
â leilani signing off ! đ

Will you go to prom with me?
matt rempe x college!student reader, friends to lovers
warnings : the fluffiest fluff to have ever fluffed for 7.5k words
an : in honor of the rangers playing their game 1 of the 2nd round, iâve been writing this for the past week and omggggg there must be so many mistakes in it but im so happy with it itâs so cute. idk about the rangers wives and stuff so christine is obviously made up sorryyyy
How did you get so lucky ?
Matthew gave you a ticket for tonightâs game and made you promise to stay after the game to wait for him.
You have gone to see his debut at the stadium series and this was his second game so you would have gone to see him play even if he hadnât gotten you a ticket.
The two of you met when he was first invited to the Rangers summer camp. You were having a picnic with friends in Central Park on a hot summer evening. Matt was playing football with his friends not far from you and when the ball fell near you he ran up to get it.
The first time he just excused himself then went back to his game. But the second time his friend threw the ball your way intentionally you asked him if they wanted to eat something but you werenât going to finish all the food you brought by yourselves.
It took all your courage to ask the tall cute guy that question. Especially because he was cute. Your friends had teased you for blushing the first time he came to get his ball and to defend your dignity you had to show them he didnât affect you that much and you could be chill around tall attractive guys.
That improvised picnic turned into an ice cream date the next afternoon as you bonded over the fact that you were both foreigners in the US. Then that turned into another museum date, and a shopping date when he asked you for help to find his sister a present.
Superficial conversation turned into long conversations deep into the night so naturally.
Yet he had never tried to kiss you. You wanted to think those dates were really dates and that he felt the same way you did. But he never expressed any further interest into you so you settled for his friendship. You knew he would leave after the training camp to go back to Calgary and you would leave too to go back home.
When he came back for the second time for the training camp, you had already left New York. He had texted you that he was in town again and asked if you wanted to go get ice cream with him. You wanted to smash your head against a wall for leaving a week too early and missing him. But he promised that he would try to go to New York before the start of the season so you could catch up together.
After that first catch up in New York, you also went to Hartford for a weekend a few times when you didnât have too many assignments.
You surprised him once by coming to a practice and staying for his game. Some of your friends teased you that you were head over heels for him and you âreally wanted to get that dâ in the words of your best friend but you never made any attempt at flirting and neither did he.
However now, he played in New York, for the Rangers and you couldnât be any prouder of him. He had texted you that he was called up to play for them for the stadium series and you told him that you already got tickets with friends to go see the match. You missed your morning class to get breakfast with him before the game and congratulate him.
So you are now waiting awkwardly by the VIP entrance because he didnât get you a special pass since he didnât dare ask for it and you have no idea where the locker room is in this place. You check your phone from time to time to see if Matt has texted you but you just assume that heâs still busy.
At some point, a security guard approaches you and asks what youâre waiting for. Youâre about to answer him and you hear a voice answering in your stead.
âFor me. Sheâs waiting for me. But thanks for taking care of her.â Heâs always been kinda hot, but that sentence? The messy post game hair? The sweaty look and slightly tired eyes?
You thank the security guard and walk towards Matt with a big smile on your face. âCongrats on your second game and second win champ. Looks like youâre this teamâs lucky charm.â You give him a hug when you reach him and he keeps his arm around your shoulder not letting you go.
âHmm no I think itâs you. Youâve been for every win too.â He winks at you.
âWhen did you get this cheesy?â, you tease.
âWinning makes me emotional.â
You aww at his honest response and jokingly tickle him. But you love how heâs not afraid to show his emotions in front of you and you cherish that.
âSo.. we won⊠Do you know what that means?â, he asks with an amused look in his eyes.
âFree and good food?â, you inquire hopefully, batting your lashes at him to go overboard with it.
âBetter. Free drinks !! I wanted you to come celebrate with us. I got out the looker room as soon as I could to not make you wait and have some time to convince you. The guys are ready to go.â
âItâs a wednesday night.â
âPerfect night to go out the bars are less crowded.â
âMatt I have classes tomorrow.â
He has a resolute look on his face and you know youâve lost the argument here. âIâll bring you back to your dorm by midnight.â
You admit defeat by nodding your head yes and he pumps his fist in an overly exaggerated way. Then he puts his arm back around your shoulder and drags you towards the exit.
âSchneider knows a nice place not far from here apparently.â, he informs you.
âYouâre new best bud?â
âI would never dream of replacing youâ, he says with a funny smirk.
When you walk out of the building youâre met with huge, impressive hockey players and their beautiful significant others. You smile politely and wave your hand when Matt introduces you but nobody pays you too much attention as everybody is eager to get to drinking.
The bar you get to is nice, not too big but still pretty loud and the players overjoyed from their win only make it louder.
You sit squeezed in between Matt and one of the girlfriends. She doesnât particularly pay you attention except when she asked you who you are and how you met Matt.
When Matt leaves to get you a drink at the bar, Chytilâs girlfriend approaches you and introduces herself.
âSo have you and Matt been together for a long time ?â Luckily, the lighting is bad and she canât see you blush at her question.
âWeâre just really good friendsâ, you answer her after a beat.
âOh sorry, my bad.. Itâs just that usually guys donât bring such beautiful friends to bars when they try to find other girls to hook up withâ, she explains jokingly and you try not to get such thoughts into your head.
âFirst of all itâs so nice of you to call me pretty. And no honestly iâm really supportive of him trying to hook up with girls if he wants to. He just promised to get me back to my dorm before midnight so heâll probably have to do that afterwards.â She laughs at your words a bit too much and you laugh awkwardly as well, confused look on your face. Until she looks behind you and you understand.
âAlways knew I could count on you to be my wingwomanâ You turn around at Mattâs voice, the awkward smile still on your face. âAnd hereâs your cosmopolitan.â
âI'm not even sure you need a wingwoman now that youâre in the NHL.â
âThatâs not something we are going to test tonight because iâm here to celebrate with you and not some random girl.â He grins at you.
You spend the rest of the evening dancing and drinking your cocktails with Matt acting as the best body guard to ever exist on the dance floor. Itâs not often that you donât have any weirdo trying to approach you but having a 6â7 guy built like a refrigerator definitely helps so you can enjoy the music and just dance. Maybe you should go to the club with him more often.
You donât leave before midnight as promised. Itâs closer to 1am when you bid goodbye to Chytilâs girlfriend. She asks you if she will see you around more and you promise her to attend the next game.
When youâre outside the uber is already waiting for you and you get in with Matt still talking and laughing.
He then walks you up to your door and you turn around before opening. âSo now you know where I leaveâ
âYes this was my plan all along now I know where to come to steal the most comfortable blanketsâ, he says with a smirk
âI knew you were evil. You canât be tall, hot and ambitious without something hiding under the surface.â Did you just call him hot ? You can blame it on the alcohol even if it was only 3 cocktails.
âObviously. Now go get some good sleep and drink a glass of water.â He turns around to leave âGood nightâ
You yell after him âDrink some water too big boyâ you giggle to yourself and cover your mouth aware of how loud you just were.
The next morning you have a mild migraine but it hits you when you are brushing your teeth a song from last night playing on your phone.
The reason no guy approached you last night was because Matt always had his hand on you, your hand, your hip, your waist. It was just so natural to have him that close you didnât even notice in the moment.
ââ
Almost a week later, as you sit on your bed, music playing on your speaker because your roommate is out, you hear a loud repeated bang on your door.
You jump out of bed, turn off the music and run to the door. âWhoâs there?â, you ask warily.
âOpen up the door you deaf dumbassâ
âGreat to see you too my sugar plumâ, you stick your tongue out to Matt when opening the door.
He walks right past you into your dorm room and sets a bag on your desk. âI brought us snacks and video games.â
âYou know I donât have anything to play video games on right?â, you look at him eyebrows raised, hands on your hips.
âThat's why I brought my Xbox in my backpack?â He starts unpacking his stuff and setting up his gaming corner. Luckily you had a small TV you and your roommate chipped in together to buy.
âMake yourself at home I guess⊠I also hope youâre aware I wonât be playing with you I have to finish this essay for tomorrow morning.â
âI know. You said that you had to finish it tonight. I just thought it would be more fun to have company. And I havenât seen you because of the roadie.â You smile at his logic. Itâs non arguable. You would rather do anything and everything with him around than without him. And you missed him too.
Once heâs done setting it up, he sits at the end of your bed and looks at you expectantly. âI wonât be noisy I promise. Now can you bring the snacks?â
You smile like an idiot again, hand him the snacks and get back to your previous position in your bed.
He takes your feet on his lap and starts his game. Without even looking your way, he pushes the bag of your favorite candies towards you.
You sight contemptuously, a small smile adorning your face. This was so comfortable. A little too cozy for you to just see him as a friend.
Around 1am, you finish your assignment and Matt is already asleep at the feet of your bed. You lightly tap his shoulder and tell him to get under the covers because itâs too late for him to go home.
Still sleepy, he takes off his hoodie and gets comfortable while you go to the bathroom to get ready for bed. Then you get back to bed and try falling asleep but you are far too aware of his tall presence right next to you.
He is fast asleep when he sneaks one of his arms around you. Your bed isnât large enough for you not to touch anyway so you decide to enjoy his warm, comforting cuddles and fall asleep much faster now that youâre not stressing over it.
When you wake up for your class in the morning, Matthew has already left for practice.
ââ
The game against the Devils has been brutal. You couldnât attend but you were watching on your phone while at the library. You try to get done as much as you can before leaving the library and going to your closest 24/7 store.
You are ready to go around the whole city. You have a mission in mind and you will accomplish it : finding a Lego set (and food of course).
Luckily you only have to try two convenience stores before finding a good enough set. You also grab some snacks and head to Mattâs apartment.
You are already waiting in the lobby of his apartment building when he comes in.
He looks nasty and you canât help but cringe.
He drops his bag on the floor when heâs near and wraps his arms around you. For a while, you just remain like that, hugging, passing your fingers through his hair in an attempt to soothe him.
âYou wanna go up? I got us lego sets to buildâ, you ask in a small voice. He nods and pulls away without meeting your gaze.
You havenât seen him since his huge fight in Toronto so the black eye is shocking at first. And now heâs been suspended for four games. You know that even if he likes causing chaos, he likes the game more.
You silently follow him up to his apartment. Itâs a small studio, nothing crazy but itâs cozy and itâs clean.
You set your bags near the couch and go to the kitchen to look for something to cook dinner with. In the meantime, Matt gets another cold shower and changes into a pair of sweats.
When he comes out of his room, wet hair falling across his eyes, his t-shirt half up, your breath catches in your throat. Your gaze moves downwards and then you catch a glimpse of the bruises on his side as he finishes putting his shirt on.
âI left clothes for you on my bed if you wanna change into something more comfortable. I looked for the smallest sweatpants but hoodie might be just enough.â
He walks up to you and smells around, âWhat youâre cooking there?â
âMac and cheese. Didnât have too much choiceâ A pleasant smile appears on his face. âI can finish it, go get comfortable.â
He nudges you lightly so you let him take over and go to take a shower and change.
You had stayed at his place in Hartford the last two times you went up there. But this was different. You had always brought your own clothes and you would eat out with his friends before coming and crashing on his couch before leaving the next morning.
Now you are changing into his clothes, and as he said the hoodie almost reaches your knee so you donât bother with trying on the pants. It smells of him and you try not to be weird about it but it brings you such a sense of comfort you canât help but wrap your arms around yourself.
When you walk back into the open kitchen Matt is done with the Mac n cheese and getting the table ready.
âYou can sit down. Iâll be ready in a minute.â
You listen to him and sit down and a few moments later so does he. You eat in silence until he asks you about your day.
You donât want to press him about anything or upset him so you just go with his flow, letting him welcome you in when heâs ready.
When youâre done eating, itâs your turn to tell him to go get comfortable on the couch while you clean up the kitchen. Once youâre done you join him on the couch where he already started taking the legos out of their boxes.
You talk about your childhoods and how you used to play with legos and other toys, about your favorites and the ones you lost but just remembered how much you liked them.
When you finished the set, he put it on the shelf next to his TV and you both went to bed.
You insisted on sleeping on the couch to not bother him but he argued that he would.
Of course you wouldnât let him, knowing the physical state he was in. So you agreed to both sleep in the bed.
Once youâre under the covers and the lights are off you canât stop the words from falling out of your mouth as you turn towards him, âDoes it hurt a lot?â
He turns around to face you too, âWhere?â
It breaks your heart to hear him say this. Are there really so many hurtful part?
You slowly bring your hand to his abdomen under the covers. âHere?â
âI didnât think you would see itâ, he shuddered at your touch so you pull your hand back.
âIâm sorryâ
âItâs okay.â your voices are no louder than a whisper.
âCan I hug you?â, thereâs timidity in your voice that he has never heard before.
âPleaseâ
You wrap your arms around him and press his head under your chin. You fall asleep in that position only a few minutes later.
ââ
Now, you are waiting for him by the north entrance after his game against Florida as he had asked you but you have no idea what to expect nor where he is taking you. It didnât really matter anyway as you get to spend time with him.
He walks out the building wearing his suit, his bag slung over his shoulder.
âCongrats ! You played until the endâ You laugh at him throwing your arms around his torso. God how you loved his hugs. It feels like being engulfed in the warmest cloud.
âAnd I got an assistâ, he says pulling back from the hug and grinning at you.
Your smile widens as well as you crank your neck to look up at him âYou did great champ!â
You pull away from his arms feeling yourself getting hungrier by the second. âCome one now take me to eat. You know cheering on you is such a physical activity.â
You catch sight of his crooked tie once you are completely out of his arms and reach to straighten it. âI changed as fast as I could so you wouldnât have to wait long.â He explains looking down at you.
You canât look up to meet his gaze, too busy trying to hide your blush.
When youâre done, you ask him to lead the way and he points to the left and tells you to follow him because âhe knows a placeâ.
You walk for a few blocks until youâre in Times Square and then he stops.
âMatt donât tell me you wanna play tourist right now. I swear Iâm not kidding when I say Iâm famished.â You look up at him with a pout.
He checks his watch, âCan you keep the whining down, Iâm the one whoâs paying for dinner, please?â He looks around at the billboard like heâs never seen them before.
âIâm hungry, come on letâs go Iâll pay for my meal if itâs what it takes.â You try to argue.
He stops turning around and you get in front of him to try and get his attention back on you. He checks his watch again. What is he waiting for?
âMatt the hell are you looking around for ? This is not your first time in Time Square. I hope the place you wanted to take me doesnât close too soonâŠâ
He looks behind you and his eyes light up. âThis is where I wanted to take you.â He says grinning like a devil.
You want to ask whatâs going on, mouth half open but he tells you to turn around so you do.
Mouth still hanging agape, the first thing your eyes lay on is a huge billboard with your name on it. And the question âWill you go to prom with me?â. You heart skips a beat there.
Youâre speechless for a second and very confused when you turn back around to look at Matt. âWhat is this? What prom, Matt? Colleges donât do proms and Iâm in my senior year. What do youâŠâ
He cuts you off seeing the frown on your face âYou told me once that you never got to go to prom during high school. And I know how much you love those fancy dresses and dancing to 2000 music. I didnât want you to feel sad again because you feel like you missed out on something.â
Oh you are so about to cry.
Tears are brimming your lashes already. Your stomach is doing somersaults.
âSo will you go to prom with me? The one I organized just for us so you canât really say noâŠâ You hear the small quiver in his voice and how he slows down at the end. He is feeling unsure. Itâs the sweetest thing ever.
The tears staining your face are happy ones so you nod your head vigorously, unable to speak because of the knot in your throat. A smile cracks its way onto your face and at the sight of it he leans down to hug you. You jump into his arms and wraps yours around his neck.
âI canât believe you did this for meâ Youâre now sobbing into his shoulder, pushing your face into the crook of his neck to hide your tear stained, all red, face, from the crowd around you.
It feels like itâs just the two of you in the world. You donât hear the crowd over your own beating heart anymore.
How did you get so lucky?
You want to tell him how much this means to you, how much he means to you. Yet itâs not the time to confess your feelings. You canât ruin this moment with your selfish emotions when heâs done this for you as a friend. So you settle for thank yous.
âYouâre the best, really.â You squeeze harder before trying to pull away but he still has you in his arms and your feet donât even touch the ground.
Your faces are inches away, and you feel an itch you canât quite scratch, because heâs not your boyfriend and kissing him could ruin all this.
âThank you. Genuinely. I donât know what I did to deserve you but youâre really the best Mattâ You think he can probably feel your breath on his face. You hope he canât hear your pulse this close. You hope you donât smell of the beer you drank earlier at the game.
Oh no, you realise as he puts you down, your breath probably smells of the beer.
He shots the toothiest smile youâve ever seen on him. âGood letâs go get you some food now.â
May the universe help your poor little heart, as you melt internally at his smile, words and actions.
ââ
You knew Matthew was a man of his word and if he said he would do it he will. But what you didnât expect was for him to go so overboard with it.
A few days after his promposal, he texts you that after class youâre both going shopping the next day. He had called you after the game when they clinched the first spot and said that your fake prom would be before the playoffs.
He waits for you in front of your building, baseball cap sitting backwards on his head, two coffees in his hand.
Your heart skips a beat when you first catch sight of him, easy to notice him with such a height. You think you would recognise him even in the dark anyway, when everything in your body pulls you to him in the way it has done since youâve met him.
Heâs right here and so close and yet so out of reach because you canât run up to him and kiss him like you would like to.
It has gotten harder to ignore your feelings since he started acting like the best boyfriend in the world while simultaneously not being your boyfriend.
You walk slowly to give yourself time to recompose yourself. He smiles broadly when he sees you too.
He doesnât know how much he affects so you canât blame him. Heâs just being friendly, like he always was.
When you reach him, he hands you your cup of coffee then pulls you into his chest and your giggle gets muffled by his warm sweater.
He asks you about your day, your classes, why youâve been up since he went away. He listens to your every word even though youâve already told him all of this through texts.
You walk the streets of New York together until he stops in front of a dress shop.
âNo, no, no Matt, I cant afford this.â You stop him before he walks inside, hand on his arm. âAnd aiâm not letting you pay for my dress. Just putting this out there hopefully before the thought even crosses your mindâ
He takes your hand off his arms and wraps it with his. âLetâs just see what they have.â
He tugs you inside and you donât have any other choice but to follow.
The shopping assistant greets you and after giving you a few minutes to look around she starts asking question about what you want, the type of event, the color preferences, the length.
Sure you had imagined the type of dress you would have worn if you ever got invited to prom when you were a teenager. But you were never invited by anyone and as you were starting to think about going alone your mom got very sick and you had to stay home while your dad went to work.
But asked this way on the spot you have no idea. You say blue for the colour. Itâs you favourite one and Matt has a nice blue suit that could match.
The sales assistant picked out some dresses for you while you and Matt looked around. He made you promise to not look at the price until youâve tried on all the dresses that you liked but you knew you wouldnât be getting anything from here.
After going around the whole store, the sales assistant directed you to the back to try on the dresses. Struggling to tie up the dress, you peak your head outside the door to ask her for help but only see Matthew.
âShe went to get you heels. Do you need help?â You nod, open the door wider as he gets closer and slowly turn around making sure the dress stays in place.
He gets on it with expert hands pulling the laces tight. âTighter?â His voice is low, near your ear. It sends shivers down your spine.
You nod not trusting your voice just yet. You feel hot all over but you also shiver.
âSorry my fingers are coldâŠâ
He is almost done now so you want to break the awkward silence.
âYouâre good at it.â Great remark, way to go.
âYeah I helped my sister a few times.â
Did he just compare you to his sister? Amazing.
With perfect timing your sales assistant comes back with a pair of beautiful black heels. âSorry for making you wait. Your boyfriend told me you shoe size but I had to find something that would match.â
So much for helping with the awkwardnessâŠ
âHe um⊠weâre not umâŠâ You tried articulating your thoughts pointing between you and Matt.
Instead of helping you, he looks at you with an amused look on his face then thanks the woman while taking the shoes from her.
âYou can hold onto my shoulder.â He says kneeling down and setting the shoes on the ground in front of you. You lift your dress with one hand, grab his shoulder with the other one as he so kindly suggested, and then extend your foot to put the shoe on. He even helps you get the shoe on.
You were trying not to overthink his every move but it was impossible. Why is he acting this way all of a sudden ? Why didnât he tell the sales assistant that you were just friends ? Why ..?
Your thoughts are cut off when Matthew stands up and you lose your balance and almost fall.
He extends an arm to catch but you stop him with your hand and a chuckle.
He steps back and he and the sales assistant both look at you. You start feeling flustered so you turn around to look for a mirror.
As you walk over to it, you can feel Mattâs gaze on your black, and the ghosts of his fingertips on your skin.
The dress looks beautiful but something is not right. Itâs a bit too over the top and you just donât feel it. Matthew sees it in your eyes when you look at him through the mirror.
You change into the second dress but you donât like how it looks around your chest so you donât even get out of the dressing room.
The third one was beautiful. The flowy fabric, the sea green color of the dress, the thin straps and square neckline accentuating all the right places. You look down at yourself one last time and take a peak at the price tag before walking out of the dressing room to show it to Matt. It breaks your heart to act like itâs not the most beautiful dress you have ever worn. But you canât afford it.
You donât think youâve ever seen Matthew looking at you this way. His mouth is slightly agape which gives you an insane boost of confidence.
âYeah Iâm not gonna take this one. You wouldnât be able to handle it.â You tease him which makes him slightly blush. Oh this is getting funny.
âShould I do a spin ? Let me do a spinâ
Maybe you could not eat for the next month or two ? Because if it triggers this type of reaction from Matt you would wear it everyday.
When you look at him again, he stares at you and gulps.
âYou look.. you look like a washed up algue on the Jersey shoreâ He deadpans. A smirk threatens to crack his serious appearance.
You explode in laughter, âYou sure know how to talk to a woman. But that settles it Iâm not buying it.â You turn around to go back into the dressing room without seeing his disappointed look or leaving him the time to argue with you.
You try on the rest of the dresses but none of them are what you are looking for so you bid goodbye to the sales assistants and exit the store.
âThis was very cute of you Matt but I promise Iâll find the perfect dress in a thrift shop without having to starve for the next month.â You assured him.
âYeah sure sorryâŠâ How dare he be this cute??
âI know that we went to this type of store with my sister for her proms and she loved it.â He argues
You smile at him, âSo you wanted my experience to be as authentic as it gets.â
âExactlyâ he gives you that cheeky childish grin. Heâs proud of himself and he can be.
You shake your head at him and urge him in the direction of your favorite coffee shop.
âItâs too late for coffee I thinkâ, he remarks which makes you look at the time on your phone.
âWow I didnât think we wasted that much time in the storeâ you were surprised, but then again time moves so fast when you were having fun with Matt.
âHey come on it wasnât a waste of time you got to try on beautiful dressesâ he argued again, heading back in the direction of your dorm.
âYouâre right but not walking faster to get to Philâs surely is a waste of timeâ You saying grinning.
âWhen it comes to getting food it always sounds like youâre the 6â7 hockey players who needs to eat a lot of caloriesâ Heâs already caught up to you so you can punch his arm at the teasing.
âYeah well where would I get the energy to annoy you if I didnât eat this much?â, you give him the same sassy energy back.
The banter and the laughter doesnât stop and suddenly heâs already walking you back to your dorm and hugging you goodbye.
Once you are in your pyjamas you get your laptop out and get to work on your assignment.
To your dismay, pretty boys donât make uni work disappearâŠ
ââ
You were looking at your eyeshadow palette, indecisive. Maybe you should just do a simple eyeliner ? You wanted to do your best, look your best, impress Matt after everything heâs done for you.
You were lucky to find a dress similar to the sea green one you had found in the store but just a tad lighter in colour. You put on your highest heels so the pictures with Matthew looked better. He promised to make it look as authentic as possible so he got one of the older guys on the team to let him borrow the apartment. Pictures by the fireplace are a must according to him.
So you gathered all the belongings you needed after your only class this morning and came to the address he had sent you. You called the number he had sent along when you were in front of the building and a nice woman who introduced herself as Christine told you what apartment to go to.
You were sort of starstruck when she first opened the door and wondered how these hockey players really bagged all these 10s. She wasnât amongst the girls and women you had met both times you have gone with Matt to the bar to celebrate after a game and you understood why when you heard two kids arguing in the background.
She had quickly let you in and apologized for the noise they were making while taking you to the room where you could get ready. You had thanked her a million times over for welcoming you this way but she told you that they couldnât say no when Matthew had explained his plan so sweetly. She had commented about how lucky you were to have him with a wink and you nodded, cheeks flustered.
Now you are almost done. You had begun with your hair, finally decided to just do a soft look on your eyes with some glitter and put on your dress.
You are putting on your pink gloss, looking at yourself in the mirror. You promise yourself that this is the night you will tell Matt how you feel, when you hear a knock on the door.
âHoney, are you ready? Matthew is here.â Christine calls out to you.
âI will be out in a minute.â, you answer as you put on your perfume finally.
You take a deep breath before opening the door and shake your arms in a manner to get the anxiety out of your body. You walk to the living room slowly to not scrap the parquet with your heels, looking down at your feet, dress in hand.
When you get there, you raise your head to find Matt already looking at you. He looks stunning in his suits, you already knew that. But there something that made him look particularly handsome. Probably knowing that he dressed up for you.
A smile creeps its way in your face as he stares at you in awe. You pat yourself on the back internally for doing a good job on the hair and makeup.
âYou look um⊠you look beautiful.â, he finally manages to get out.
You giggle and thank him. He really makes you feel like a high schooler, you think.
âYou donât look bad yourself.â You smile.
âYou see me in a suit every other dayâ, heâs being modest.
âBut you have something particular about yourself todayâ
Oh god, youâre gonna be the death of him. Complementing him so effortlessly. He made more of an effort today itâs true. He wanted to look half as good as you at least. He also made a point of not fighting in his last games so he doesnât have a bruised face on these pictures.
âOh I got something for you.â He reaches out behind him on the fireplace and grabs a box. You walk closer, curious to see what it is and your eyes lay in a beautiful corsage for your wrist and a matching flower for his pocket.
You give him your hand and look at him while puts it on âItâs beautiful thank you.â
âOkay kids, let's take some cute pictures,â Christine says, clapping her hands, even though she already took ten pictures of you interacting.
âI see youâre fully playing your roleâ you laugh at her antics.
âJust rehearsing for the futureâ, she retorts with the same cocky smile you gave her. âOkay now get in front of the fireplace. Matt stands behind her.â She was giving instructions like a pro and you assumed sheâs already done this for her own prom.
Just like she said, Matt walks up behind you and sneaks his arms around your waist. Instinctively, he spreads his fingers but his hands awkwardly cover your whole tummy so he holds your hips.
You try to relax for the picture but youâre overly aware of every inch of his body touching yours.
âCome on guys, give me your best smiles now!â Christine encourages you.
You try to focus on the pictures, the camera, your hair, your smile. You rearrange your dress to be sure it is okay.
Once she says she has a few good ones, you change your pose and you get used to it. You look at a few before takes and they do look beautiful.
Once youâre done, Matt thanks Christine and you both head out to the restaurant he had made a reservation for.
The taxi ride is not too long since you were already in a nice part of the city. The restaurant looks way too over priced and you feel bad for how much money heâs spending on you.
Once youâre sitting at your table, you can help but tease him, âIâm amazed you even managed to make such a reservation.â
âSchneider helpedâ, he admits.
âSo this evening really is a team effort. If I wasnât enjoy it so much, I would probably feel bad for bothering everybodyâ, you say half jokingly.
The whole dinner is amazing and delicious. You donât think youâve ever eaten in a place this fancy and frankly both of you probably look out of place.
More than once you laugh a little too loud and swear a little too often which earns you some pointed glances from the old rich people around you. That only makes you laugh even more.
By the time youâre out of them, you feel the slight buzz of the overpriced wine and canât wait to see what Matt has planned next.
The next taxi ride takes you back to his apartment and youâre sad you didnât get to dance. You think you might still convince Matt to put on some music to dance in the kitchen too.
You think of your arguments all the way up and when he makes you wait in the hallway. But you donât need any once he opens the door and lets you see what he prepared inside.
There was glitter everywhere, colorful light effects and you couldnât even catch a glimpse of a photo zone next to the bathroom door.
âI know we donât have a prom party with all the people dancing around us and our friends but I hoped this would make do.â, he says looking at you from behind, studying your every emotion.
You turn to him, your brightest smile on your face âThis is perfect Matt.â You grab his hand and drag him inside.
âLetâs take a picture first. We can set the timer and flash on my phone.â You set your phone in the place he prepared for it and push on the timer. You take your dutiful place in front of him in front of the photo zone and thereâs no awkwardness as earlier.
Then you go back to the leaving room to put some music on, he goes to the kitchen and comes out with punch.
âDonât we face the chaperones too? For the more authentic experienceâŠâ
âYou plan on doing such naughty things you need a chaperone?â Oh, you werenât expecting him to clap back this way.
âI donât have enough alcohol in the system, bring that punch over hereâ, cowardly move but you didnât lie. You need more liquid courage to tell him everything you think.
You take the drink from his hand when he extends it to you and down half of it.
You cradle the rest of your hand while Give me everything tonight plays in the background but it doesnât take long for you to finish that too.
You dance to your favorite songs until a slow by Def Leppard comes on. âWouldnât be a full prom experience if we didnât slow danceâ, Matt defends his choice of putting it in the playlist.
âYouâre right. Letâs danceâc you nod getting closer to him. Your fingers are intertwined behind his neck and his hands settle in your lower back.
With each sway to the rhythm, your bodies get closer.
You look amazing. He used beautiful earlier but that hadnât been enough to describe how truly gorgeous you look. He wants to use every word he knows, compare you to stars and flowers and yet it still feels like it wouldnât be enough. You are giving him your brightest smile and he feels proud at the thought that he is the one who put it on your face. He made you happy. He wants to make you happy everyday in the future.
You are so close to him. Right in front of him. He thinks he should gather his courage and tell you he likes you. He can feel the warmth radiating from your skin through your thin dress, your fingers running through his hair at the nape of his neck.
He thinks about all the times youâve made him happy. The first time you ever talked to him and offered snacks to him and his friends who were just strangers in the park. The time when you first surprised him by coming to Hartford to see him play. He wasnât seeing you in that light at the time. However recently, when you came to comfort him after he had been suspended for four games. He had wanted to kiss you then right in his lobby when he saw you. But he couldnât use you like that to drown his sorrows. And what were the chances that you wouldnât push him away and leave him all alone?
He always thought you were hot, even Schneider and LafreniĂšre commented on it when he had brought you to the bar with them to celebrate. He had told them to back off right then and there, to not even think about it. He thought it was due to friendly protectiveness. He later realised that he hated the thought of anyone else putting their hands on you and make you happy in that way.
âWhy didnât you ever kiss me?â, you interrupt his train of thought. He is completely caught out. Did he hear you right? He takes another few seconds to process but he can see the concern taking over your features.
âI could do that? I didnât know I could?â he looks dumbfounded which makes you laugh. âCan I kiss you now?â
âDo you want to?â
âStupid question. Can I kiss you?â, his breath is ragged.
âStupid question.â you giggle, âLose some more time asking others like this o-â.
He doesnât let you finish before crashing his lips on yours and stealing your breath away. Itâs passionate but sweet and oh so soft at the same time.
Itâs so much better than you couldnât have ever imagined. Sparks fly. Butterflies erupt in your stomach. Shivers run down your spine. You have wanted this for so long, was tempted to do it a million times and it is finally happening.
You need more. You wish he would never stop kissing you.
When he pulls away for air, slightly panting and lips and the skin around them sparkly from your gloss, you canât help the chuckle.
âIt tastes like cherryâ, he says through a small laugh of his own.
âOh yeah? wanna taste it some more?â

* wishes you could leave hickies all over her but you canât that often because of her basket ball uniform
* but best believe off season she is covered in them
* safe word!!! she doesnât really do overstimulation to much because safe word is not the goal. a safe word is like an emergency stop button
* but yâall can give for a bit
* if you two ever got to a place where you had to use the safe word she would feel so bad
* like yâall wouldnât have sex for the next couple days because she is so scared of hurting you
* it gets to the point where you have to be like â i promise you will not hurt me what happened was a miscommunication you didnât do anything wrongâ
* yâall have a really long talk on consent and shit like that because your safety is her no.1 priority

Like an old married couple
Pairing: Emily Engstler x Reader
Word count: 1518
My masterlist :)
..............................................................
The restaurant was buzzing with the usual Saturday night energy. Emily's teammates had all gathered for a post-game dinner, filling the large table with laughter and conversation. You and Emily had only been married for a year, but to anyone watching, it seemed like youâd been together for decades.
You were perched on your chair, feet dangling a few inches off the floor due to your shorter height, while Emily sat beside you, her long legs stretched comfortably under the table. You reached for the menu, but Emily was already handing it to you, knowing that you liked to check the specials first.
"Here, love," she said with a gentle smile, placing the menu in your hands.
"Thanks, sweetheart," you replied, your tone soft and affectionate.
Emilyâs teammates, sitting across from you, exchanged amused glances. They were used to the way you two interacted, like a couple that had long since settled into each other's rhythms. But they still found it endearing.
As you skimmed the menu, Emily leaned closer to peek over your shoulder. "I think you'd like the grilled salmon. Itâs not too heavy, and you always love the way they season it here."
You nodded, trusting her judgement. "Yeah, that sounds perfect. And youâre getting the steak, right? You always do."
Emily chuckled, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. "You know me too well."
One of her teammates, Tori, smirked and leaned forward. "You guys really are like an old married couple. I mean, you've only been hitched for a year, but you act like it's been twenty."
You grinned, leaning into Emilyâs side. "What can I say? We just fit."
Emily squeezed your shoulder, her voice teasing as she said, "Besides, it's not like I could let you go around ordering something you wonât like. Youâd just end up stealing all of my fries."
You shot her a playful glare. "As if you don't love sharing them with me."
The table erupted in laughter, the banter flowing easily. Emilyâs teammates teased you both relentlessly, but it was all in good fun. They admired the way you two interacted, the comfort and love that was so evident between you.
When the waiter came to take your orders, Emily didnât hesitate to order for both of you, knowing exactly how you liked your food prepared. You didnât even have to say a word, just nodding in agreement as she spoke.
After the waiter left, Emily turned back to you, brushing a strand of hair behind your ear. "You okay? Not too tired, I hope."
You shook your head, smiling up at her. "Nope, Iâm good. As long as Iâm with you, Iâm happy."
She kissed the top of your head, a simple gesture that made your heart swell. "Good. I want you to enjoy tonight."
As the evening went on, you and Emily continued to exchange little moments of affectionâsharing bites of food, holding hands under the table, and occasionally leaning in to whisper something that would make the other laugh. Her teammates kept watching you both, some making playful comments, others just smiling at the way you two seemed so perfectly in sync.
At one point, you noticed one of her teammates struggling to decide what to order. Without missing a beat, you nudged Emily with your elbow, a knowing look on your face. Emily grinned, immediately catching on to your silent request.
"Hey, Aaliyah," Emily called out, "Y/N thinks you should try the chicken Alfredo. Itâs her go-to when sheâs feeling indecisive."
Aaliyah looked at you both with a raised eyebrow but smiled nonetheless. "You two really are in sync, huh?"
You shrugged, leaning against Emily as she draped an arm around your shoulders. "We just know each other well, I guess."
The food arrived, and as expected, Emily immediately offered you a bite of her steak, holding the fork out for you. You didnât hesitate to lean forward and take the bite, savoring the flavor.
"Mmm, perfect as always," you said, licking your lips.
Emily chuckled, cutting another piece for herself. "Youâre just saying that because itâs mine."
The playful banter continued throughout the meal, with Emilyâs teammates throwing in their own comments and jokes about how you two were the epitome of relationship goals. It didnât bother either of you; in fact, it only made you both feel more secure in what you had.
When the bill came, you reached for it out of habit, but Emily was quicker, already pulling out her wallet. "I've got it," she said firmly.
You pouted, crossing your arms. "I wanted to treat you this time."
Emily chuckled, handing the waiter her card. "Next time, darling. Tonightâs on me."
Her teammates watched this exchange with raised eyebrows, Tori speaking up again. "Seriously, you two are goals. I canât even get my partner to text me back, and here you are fighting over who gets to pay."
You shrugged, leaning your head on Emilyâs shoulder. "When youâve found the right person, it just happens naturally."
Emily kissed your forehead, her eyes filled with warmth. "Thatâs right."
As the group started to gather their things to leave, Emily stood up and offered you her hand, helping you down from your chair. You smiled up at her, your height difference even more noticeable now that you were standing.
"You know, I could get used to this," you said, looping your arm through hers as you walked out of the restaurant.
Emily grinned, her voice playful. "You already have, my little love."
Her teammates walked behind you, still chuckling at the sight of you two. But all you could focus on was the warmth of Emilyâs arm around you, the comfort of knowing that no matter how many years passed, youâd always have each other. Just like an old married coupleâonly better because this was just the beginning of your forever.
The drive home was quiet but comfortable, the city lights casting a warm glow inside the car. Emilyâs hand rested on your thigh, her thumb absentmindedly rubbing small circles as she drove. You leaned your head against the window, a contented smile playing on your lips as you thought about the night.
"You know," you started, breaking the silence, "I really love nights like this."
Emily glanced over at you, her expression softening. "Me too. Itâs nice to just relax and be with you without any distractions."
You nodded, feeling a surge of affection for her. "And your teammates are great. I love how they tease us, but you can tell theyâre happy for us."
Emily smiled, her hand giving your thigh a gentle squeeze. "They are. Theyâve seen how much happier Iâve been since we got together. Youâve been good for me, you know?"
You chuckled, reaching over to intertwine your fingers with hers. "Youâre not so bad yourself, Engstler."
Emilyâs laugh was warm and genuine, filling the car with a sense of peace. "Well, Iâm glad you think so."
When you finally arrived home, you both moved through the familiar routine of kicking off your shoes, hanging up your coats, and heading into the living room. It was second nature at this point, the way you moved around each other with such ease, as if youâd been living together for years.
You collapsed onto the couch with a sigh, watching as Emily grabbed a couple of glasses and poured some water. She handed you one before sitting beside you, her arm naturally wrapping around your shoulders as you snuggled into her side.
"Iâm really glad we did this tonight," you said, taking a sip of your water.
"Me too," Emily agreed, pressing a kiss to your temple. "I love spending time with you, even if itâs just something simple like going out to dinner."
You smiled, feeling a warmth spread through your chest. "We should do it more often. Itâs nice to just be out with you, you know?"
Emily nodded, her fingers gently tracing patterns on your arm. "Absolutely. But honestly, even just sitting here with you like this is perfect to me."
You tilted your head up to look at her, your heart swelling with affection. "Youâre such a sap, you know that?"
Emily laughed, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "Only for you, my love."
You couldnât help but smile, leaning up to press a soft kiss to her lips. "Good, because I plan on keeping you around for a long time."
Emily returned the kiss, her voice filled with warmth and sincerity as she replied, "Youâre stuck with me, little one. For now and forever."
As you settled back into her embrace, you realised that it didnât matter how many years youâd been together or how many more were to come. What mattered was that you had each other, and that was more than enough.
In the quiet of your home, wrapped up in Emilyâs arms, you knew that this was the kind of love that people searched for their entire lives. And you had found it, right here, in the person who made you feel like the luckiest person in the world.

Your back! Hi! :D Ok, the guys adore and are protective of their female human best friend (fem reader). She shares a strong bond with them, and they with her. So, if she ever gets injured or sick, the guys are protective for a while. She is ready to help them again (as much as she can with being a human and all) but what she doesn't realize is that this time it's close to their spring season, making them very protective, territorial, and aggressive to outsiders. How would this play out as they are close to their primal time of the year, and she wants to go with them as they're about to leave on patrol, but they won't let her? Fluffy ending. đ„ș(maybe some turtle noises and behaviors too)
Protective TMNT headcanonsâreader wants to come on patrol
Bayverse, 2003, or 2012 if it suits ya. đ€·ââïž. SFW! Mentions of "spring season" for the boys but nothing s*xual. hope u like it @pokemew119 !
Leonardo:
âą Like Leonardo, we'll be straight to the point with this oneâhe's not going to want you going out with them. Normally, he doesn't want you to. Now he really doesn't want you to
âą Due to their biology, springtime can be pretty dreadful for the bunch (for Splinter, too, he's the one having to manage them). Aggression, sensitivity, protectiveness, fussing over their rooms, etc. So you asking Leo to go out on their nightly patrol with them was a "this really isn't a good time" moment for him
âą "The Lair is warm and safe, why would you want to come out here, anyways? Leave the fighting to me. That's what I'm here for, that's my job."
âą Can be a little bit of an ass about it ngl, because he just wants to know you're home with someone he actually trusts to protect you, their father
âą You heard Leo bark your name as you started up the ladder out of the sewers. Blue eyes giving you a suspicious look. You were trying to sneak topside so you'd be out there before he was able to protest. "No, no, go ask Master Splinter to show you some stuff if you want something to do so badly."
âą Pats you along back to the Lair, watching to make sure you actually go back inside
âą If you DO end up out there with them, he's going to be stressing a little more than usual about the setup because it throws him off having someone he feels he needs to constantly look out for, unlike his brothers who are more or less self-sufficient. But you bet you're always going to be his first priority, no hesitation
Michelangelo:
âą For once, the heightened senses of springtime had Mikey thinking slightly more rationally than usual
âą "Babycakes, you sure you want to come? It's ugly out there, smells bad, full of dudes always asking for a beat-down, maybe you should stay." Ruffles your hair for reassurance. "We can play games when I get back!"
âą Secretly tries to dissuade you from even wanting to go out with them in the first place with promises of fun back at home
âą If you do go anyways, he's taking every chance to show off his nunchaku skills
âą Gets annoyed at his siblings for taking your attention away from him (oop there's the possessiveness)
âą Very touchy, constantly hanging off of you or trying to play-fight, sit close to you on the sofa, scoot his chair towards you at dinner, etc.
âą You ask if you can go with them on their way out and you catch Mikey
âą He smiles big and sheepishly shakes his head, "Sorry, y/n, not tonight! You're kickin' back in my beanbag tonight and hanging out, not running around New York." End of conversation. You try to say something, he interrupts you, thumping your shoulder. "I'll text you! See ya, angel!"
âą More passive about his protectiveness and isn't so outright about it like Leo, but on the inside, still doesn't fully understand why he feels that way (even though Donnie has explained over and over again)
Donatello:
âą "You want to come out with us? Not gonna work, y/n, this is real stuff," he said amicably, raising his brow ridges. "There's been a three-point-four percent increase in crime rate just around the next four blocks, and that's with us kicking tail every other night. Statistically, you're liable to become a target and..."
âą Donnie gets real irritable in spring and tends to avoid his brothers, argues with Leo about about their rooming situation bc he wants to be alone (except for with you)
âą Sets up an entire cozy corner in his lab for you to chill in while he's gone and hopes you'll use it, even though he'd definitely rather be home and not topside at this time
âą When you ask him to tag along on their patrol, he starts spouting off all the reasons you shouldn't and ultimately wins that debate
âą Compromises by letting you man his tracking/observation station and communicating with them on their missions from the sewers
âą He actually loves knowing you're on tap while he's out in the city and he can just radio in whenever he feels like it
âą "See, isn't being our control center way better?"
Raphael:
âą Raph already has a huge attitude problem, make that tenfold in spring.
âą Gets waaaaay too overprotective at times, verges on bothersome levels of spazzing over what you do and where you go
âą "You wanna go on patrol? With us? Just, out in New York City? With the Foot? Ahah, ain't happening, y/n. 'You said 'maybe' last time?' Well, I'm sayin' no, this time. You'll be bored?" He shrugs. "Watch TV or something. But you're not comin'."
âą If you do somehow manage to go (highly unlikely), he's going to be grumpy and complain the whole time because he's secretly just worried and his hormones are out of whack
âą Gets overly aggressive defending you from anything and probably stirs up more conflict over it tbh
âą "It ended up fine that time, but don't do that again, ya hear?" He doesn't want to seem like he cares too much, so he flicks your head. (That man is head over heels for you)

Nico and Amelia met up two years ago. Since then, they were inseparable. Soon after, they became a couple. Nico was proudly showing Amelia on his games and always wanted her presence there. He truly believed that she is his soulmate. Amelia was grateful to have him. Her previous relationship has been a mess. Her ex-boyfriend was forcing her to things that she didnât like and if she ever said no, he would punish her. With Nico, it felt different. He was caring, loving and respectful. She started to believe in love again.
One of the things Amelia adored in Nico was fact that he never pushed her to do things. He was always telling her that relationship works in both ways, and she doesnât have to do something just to pleased him. Nico felt the need to always reassure her. He knew about her past boyfriend, and he wanted to prove her that sheâs as important as he is in their relationship.
Although, there was a thing that Nico wished, Amelia could agree on. That was rough sex. He wanted to be in power over her, but he knew how fragile she is. Just for his pleasure, he didnât want to ruin what they have. He was scared that he will do one bad move and heâs gonna hurt her. That was the last thing he wanted. Nico still loved their sex life, but he wanted more. During one of their talks, he told her truthfully about it but also told her not to pressure herself to do it for him.
The season started great for New Jersey Devils with both wins in Prague against Buffalo. Next five matches were good with only two lost games. Nico felt that heâs in a best shape that he has ever been, and it showed, but there was one game that completely broke him. His team played at home against Washington. After first period, theyâve been losing 1:3 but Nico gave them hope. Second period started and he scored two goals in 10 seconds. Thanks to him, scoreboard showed 3:3 but again, before the end, New Jersey was losing by two goals.
Last period, the most crucial one. Nico scored another point, and it was 4:5. Almost ten minutes later, Hamilton scored, and the scoreboard showed 5:5. They got into overtime which sadly they lost. Nico was blaming himself for the goal. Even though he played incredibly, he was sad and fuming over the result. Amelia was on this game, she saw how Nico was reacting. Even if he werenât showing it, she could read him like a book. In that moment, she had an idea how to help him with his anger.
The car drive was silent. Amelia tried to approach Nico with conversation, but he hasnât spoken to her. It was more like a monologue from her side. When she realized itâs pointless, she decided to keep her mouth shut. All the ride back home, Nico had hand on her thigh squeezing it. The fact that she was next to him, and he could touch her calmed him down.
When they arrived home, Nico wanted to go straight to bed but Amelia stopped him.
âI know you donât want to talk about it, but I think I have a solution for your angerâ.
âIâm not angryâ. He answered.
âBaby, I know you. You wonât hide it from meâ. She grabbed his hand.
âOkay, fine. Whatâs the solution?â He asked curious.
âTake it out on meâ.
âAbsolutely noâ.
âNico, I get it that you are scared but I trust youâ. She put her hands behind his neck and continued. âItâs something that you would like, and youâve been always saying that relationship works both ways. I want to be there for you to help youâ.
âWhat if I hurt you? I would never forgive myself thatâ. He said and grabbed her waist.
âLetâs make a safe word. If you do something that I wonât be enjoying or will cause me a pain, Iâll say itâ. Amelia stood on her tiptoes and kissed him. Nico kissed her back.
âYou say that I can take my anger out on you? So, I can do whatever I want and however I want?â She nodded her head, but he spoke again. âWords doll. If you want this to work, I need to hear it to be 100% sureâ.
âYes Nico, you can do whatever and however you wantâ.
âWhat word did you pick as a safe word?â He asked.
âRed or stop are boring. I was thinking about something random like watermelonâ.
âYour safe word is watermelon?â He laughed.
âIn my defense, watermelon is not the word that you are associate with sex so if you hear it from me, then youâll be know that something is wrongâ.
âFair, so watermelon it isâ. He kissed her again but this time, it was possessive kiss.
When they pulled apart from each other, Nico put his thumb on her bottom lip and told her to open her mouth. Amelia obeyed him and he spit into her mouth. He saw the spark in her eyes when he done it. She gladly accepted it and swallowed.
âGo to the bedroom. I want you naked there sitting pretty on the bed. Iâll give you a moment to rethink if you really want thisâ. She hasnât answered him. She turned her back and started going to the bedroom when he slapped her ass.
Couple minutes later, Nico walked to their shared bedroom. Amelia was sitting on the bed as he told her, but he saw that sheâs thinking over something. He placed finger under her chin so she could face him.
âAbout what you are thinking?â
âIâm scaredâ. She said.
âDoll, we donât have to do it. I told you. We canâŠâ Before he could finish, he interrupted him.
âIâm not scared about this. Iâm scared that Iâll disappoint you. What if I say safe word in the middle? Thatâs gonna be super awkwardâ.
âWe made the safe word for this exact purpose. You could never disappoint me doll. Are you sure you want to do it?â
âYesâ. She said confidently.
âOn your kneesâ. She listened to him and kneeled in front of him. He undressed himself so both were naked now, then he spoke again. âIf you feel thatâs too much for you, hit my thigh three times, understood?â She nodded her again. âWhat I told you about words?â
âYes Nico, I understood.â
âGood girl, now spit on my cock and use your hand to spread it. Donât use your mouth yetâ.
Amelia did what he told her. She spat on his dick and started to use her hand over his length until he stopped her. Nico grabbed her hair and pulled them, so she was facing him.
âOpen your mouth and relax your throat. Remember about the thighâ. She opened her mouth, and he couldnât help himself and spit into her mouth again. She closed her mouth to swallow and opened again. Nico pushed his dick into her mouth. At first, he was gentle in his moves but with time he set rough pace. He was pushing himself deeper into her throat and kept her in place by pulling her hair. He was ruthless towards her.
Amelia loved every minute of the way Nico was abusing her throat. He never been so rough with her, but she enjoyed it. When he was hitting her throat deeper with the tip of his cock, tears were falling from her eyes. She was gagging over his length and grabbed his thighs to steady herself. Amelia could feel how wet she got from this act and placed her right hand on her cunt to touch herself. Nico saw it.
âTake your hand from your greedy pussy. Iâll take care of youâ. He said firmly and she decided to listen to him.
Nico could swear that he never saw something hotter than Amelia on her knees taking him so well. He was close to release, and he didnât want to stop. It felt too good for him. He cum inside her mouth and she swallowed it. She looked at him. Her makeup was ruined. Mascara with tears was falling on her cheeks. He helped her stand up and kissed her deeply.
âYou want to continue?â Even though Nico knew the answer, he preferred to ask for her permission.
âYes, pleaseâ.
âOn the bed. Face down, ass upâ. Amelia has positioned like he wanted.
While she was waiting for him to do something, Nico was admiring her in this position. He loved seeing her so submissive for him. After couple of seconds, he spanked her.
âThatâs for touching something thatâs not yoursâ. He growled into her ear. âAm I not enough that you had to do it?â
âNo Nico, you are more than enoughâ. She moaned when another slap hit her ass.
âGood fucking girl. Now take your punishment like oneâ. He said and spanked her couple more times. After Nico was done with her, he leaned over and his chest hit her back. âYou will cum twice today. Iâm not gonna stop until you use your word. Understood?â
âYes Nico. Please, just fuck me alreadyâ. Amelia was desperate for his touch.
âYour wish is my commandâ.
Nico started teasing her entry with the tip of his cock. Before she could react, he put all his length inside of her. He gave her couple seconds so she could adjust to his big dick. When he felt like sheâs ready, he started pounding roughly into her. He grabbed her hips to keep her steady while he was merciless for her pussy.
Amelia felt incredible. She felt so full and at his mercy. Even though Nico was rough with her, she could feel his affection during the act. She started moan his name loudly. He grabbed her by her hair and pulled her to his body. Her back hit his chest. While one hand was still in her hair, Nico used the second one to play with her nipples. He was twisting and pulling them.
âNico, Iâm gonna cumâ. She moaned.
He took off his hand from her tits and placed it on her clit. He started rubbing circles on her pussy. She was shaking from this stimulation. Her orgasm hit her hard. She screamed his name so loudly that she was sure neighbours could hear her. Nico havenât stopped, he fucked her through her orgasm.
Nico manhandled her so she could lay on her back. He looked at her dizzy state.
âYou sure you can continue?â He asked concerned.
âYesâ. She whispered like it was a secret.
âSpread your legs for meâ.
Amelia did it but Nico pushed her legs, so her knees were laying on the bed. He looked on her drippy cunt and traded his fingers over it. When she moaned, he spanked her pussy. She closed her legs, but Nico told her to open them again. She obeyed him and he positioned himself in her entrance.
Again, he pushed all his length into her but this time, he didnât get her time to adjust. He grabbed her by her thighs started fucking her. She arched her back from the pleasure. He leaned over to kiss her. It was sloppy kiss. Amelia moaned into his mouth when he pulled away. She was getting so loud. Nico put his hand on her throat. He squeezed his fingers on the sides of her throat.
She felt overwhelmed by all the stimulation, but she didnât wanted to stop. It felt so good for her. While one of Nicoâs hands was still on her throat, the other one started playing with her boobs. He could feel that sheâs close to her release and started fucking her harder and faster. When he knew, sheâs seconds from her orgasm, he pulled hand from her throat and placed on her other boob.
âNico, fuck, Iâm gonna cumâ.
âI know doll. Cum for meâ. Her second climax hit her. She screamed his name and soon after, he released inside of her.
Nico fell on her chest, and they laid like that for couple of minutes. When he recovered, he pulled out of her and went to the bathroom to run a bath for her. He put all her fancy salts and essential oils into the bath. When he returned to the bedroom, he could see her all fucked. Amelia turned her head to look at him.
âHey, how are you feel?â
âAmazing, thank you Nico. That was the most mind-blowing sex I ever hadâ. He laughed at her words.
âCan you stand up or do you want me to carry you?â
âCarry me pleaseâ. She pulled her arms towards him. He leaned down and she placed her arms around his neck. Nico grabbed her under her knees and carried into the bathroom. He put her in a bathtub.
âStay here. Iâll be back in a minuteâ. Nico left the bathroom and went to the kitchen. He grabbed a bottle of water and snacks. He returned and handed it to her. âEat it, you need it. Also, drink the water, you might feel dehydratedâ. He said firmly.
Amelia drank the water while still laying in the bath. She opened a bag of chips and started eating them, handing them to Nico who was sitting next to the bathtub. He helped her wash herself. After an hour, he took the towel and he dry her off. Again, he carried her to the bedroom, placed her on bed and tucked her under the covers.
âIâm going to take a shower, go to sleepâ. He leaned down and kissed her forehead.
Nico left her and went to clean himself. He felt bad for leaving her, but he knew he must do it. Amelia couldnât sleep. She was laying in the bed and waited for him to return. Ten minutes later, he was back. He saw that sheâs still awake.
âI told you to sleep dollâ. Nico said lying next to her. He pulled her into his arms, so her head was resting on his chest. After couple minutes of silence, he spoke again.
âThank you so much for doing this for me. I really appreciate it and I hope I wasnât too rough on youâ. He kissed her head.
âIt was amazing Nico. Youâve been incredible. You havenât been too rough. I told you that I trust youâ. She snuggled into his chest even more. âIf you ever feel anger again, just know that Iâm right here to helpâ. He pulled her on his body, and theyâve been lying now chest to chest.
âYou are gonna be a death to me woman. I love you dollâ. He kissed her.
âI love you too Nico. Now letâs sleep, you have a practice tomorrow and deserve a good restâ. She said and both of them fall asleep.

PART 1 / PART 2 / PART 3 (NSFW) / PART 4 /
PART FIVE (NSFW)
Warning: Mentions of Pregnancy and virginity. piv.
You started Sunday the same way you always did. Wake up before dawn, start breakfast for you and Ma, stare out the window and think about the list of chores you could never keep up with.
âItâs a beautiful morning!â Your mother shuffled past your open door towards the kitchen, âAre you sure I canât just handle all the work in the field today? Wonât you want to relax before your friend arrives?â
âMother, please do not blow this out of proportion.â You scolded her light-heartedly, âIâm just going to do my work as usual, and when he stops by Iâll take a break-â
âMy baby is getting courted by a big strong orc~â She sang out to you. You followed her to the kitchen. âHow did you know heâs courting me?â
âSo he is courting you.â She swayed back and forth in front of the hearth, throwing bits of kindling onto the fire.
âWell- I-â
âY/n, donât you remember. When I told you about the family that lived in the neighboring plot. The wife told me so much about how strange orc courting was, especially with her being human, and-â
âYou didnât tell me it was a half-orc familyâŠâÂ
She turned to you with a devious smirk, âWouldnât you like to know about a half-orc family.â âMA!â You grabbed an apple from the table (a bright red one that matched the color of your face) and ran out the door. You werenât really mad at her, but this entire situation was so out of your comfort zone. The only experience you ever really had with being pursued was desperately avoiding Milo for the past two years.
You glanced at the sundial in the garden. Three hours. You had three hours to try and get some work done in the field and shake off the nerves.
-
The tomatoes were a mess. No wonder, this was a corner of the field that had been sorely neglected this season. The sun was climbing higher, and the heat of its rays were beginning to lick the back of your neck. What time was it anyways?
âSO NICE TO MEET YOU- OH YOU SHOULDNâT HAVE!â
Your mothers voice was loud enough to carry all the way to your little corner in the tomato patch. You shot to your feet, craning your neck to see her enthusiastically fawning over a slightly nervous Khargaad. You could hear him nervously chuckling as the two exchanged words.
Well, might as well go save him. You looked down at your work clothes covered in grass stains and mud. Hair was sticking to the back of your sweaty neck. Gross. Probably didnât smell pretty either.
Your mother caught you out of the corner of her eye and pointed excitedly, âTHERE SHE IS!â
You cringed. Gods she was making all this fuss and you looked like you just crawled out of a ditch.
âHello! I see you met Ma.â You were trying to casually wipe the mix of dirt and sweat from your face, wading over to them through the field. He felt his heart skip a bit when you got closer. You smelled so earthy. And the musk of your sweat was⊠it could drive him feral.
He started imagining all the ways he could steal you away and worship you. Fill you. Taste you.
âUm⊠Khargaad?â
He jolted out of his sinful haze, âI couldnât show up empty handed.â He thrust a basket into your arms. It was laden with fancy imported fruits. âThis- This is too much. This must have cost-â
âHush now,â his voice was like warm honey, âI hunt big game, I can afford it.â He had a cocky little smirk on his face. You thanked him, motioning to follow you into the cottage.
He looked back at your mom one more time, âIt was so nice to meet you, Maâam.â
-
Your first lessons together went just as well as predicted. By the end he was properly frustrated, arms crossed and everything.
âThe letters. It doesnât make any sense. Itâs all⊠mixed up.â
âLetâs just end it here for today.â
He was so cute like this. All flustered.Â
He stood up from his seat, being careful to crouch as he easily exceeded the height of the ceiling. âAlrighty, letâs get to work.â He crossed the room in one long stride, pulling his shirt over his head. He looked strong, but not in the way statues are with their lean bodies and taught chiseled muscles. He looked like a man who ate well and worked hard. Your eyes wandered to the slight love handles that peaked over the waistband of his trousers. Gods you were no better than a man, thinking about how bad you wanted to feel him in your hands.
He glanced behind his shoulder, âWhere first?â
âI donât know what youâre talking about Khargaad.â
âDo you think Iâm going to just leave with all this work to be done?â
-
He followed you like an excited puppy to the tomato patch you had been working on. You had tried to tell him that he didnât need to waste the rest of his day helping with this. But he knew he didnât need to. He wanted to. And who was going to stop him? Certainly not you.
He started on one end, and you the other, working slowly until you met in the middle. By the end, your hands were red and scratched up from pulling the thistle weeds. Of course, Kharghaadâs were so calloused that it was like he had a pair of gloves on. He gave a little gasp when he saw your sore fingers. âWhy didnât you say anythingâŠâ He scooped your small hands into his, as delicate as you would pick up a fresh baby bird.
Every time he touched you it was like this great release. Your mother, as loving as she was, never quite developed a touchy-feely nature. You were so used to it fleeting as soon as it was there. Quick handshakes, brushing against someone in the market. You craved physical touch.
So when Khargaad didnât let go of your hands. When he held them so carefully and tenderly. So deliberately. You found yourself trying to memorize every little second of the moment.
âIâll have to buy you gloves.â He muttered, picking out the little needles with surprising dexterity. He took his canteen and went to rinse off the skin. âI can wash my own hands, Khargaad.â You chuckled.
âBut I want to,â He blurted out with immediate embarrassment, âSorry, I guess you could say itâs an orc thing? Itâs sorta like⊠weâre very communal. Thereâs no reason to do much of anything alone, if you think about itâŠâ He sort of trailed off like he was getting ahead of himself. He paused.
âI hope I'm not smothering you. Maybe humans arenât like that-â He went to let go of your hands, and a part of you cried out inside. You were tired of trying to play this stoic lone wolf character. It wasnât who you were. Itâs not who any of us are. We all need each other.
âPlease, donât stopâŠâ You whispered to him, thrusting your hands back into his. You uttered the magic words. The words he had been waiting for. He pulled you into his chest. It didnât matter how gross, hot, and sweaty the two of you were. Or that your mother was most definitely watching joyfully from the kitchen window. Nothing mattered. âCan we go somewhere?â His voice was muffled as he whispered into the top of your head. He was taking long deep sighs, taking in your scent.
âPleaseâŠâ The need in your voice was palpable. He didnât waste another moment, leading you to the forest behind your property. âKhargaad⊠the road is that way.â You motioned behind yourself. âI know a quicker way.â He glanced back at you with that sweet little smirk on his face.
Once past the treeline, the soft light of dusk struggled to breach the overhead foliage. You walked together for some time, before the sound of running water bubbled ahead. He had led you to a little clearing, where in the middle stood a circular style tent. A creek babbled away off to the side. The moon was full and provided plenty of light for you to take it all in. âDo you live here?âÂ
He nodded, looking down at you expectantly for approval. You grinned, âItâs lovely.â
He snaked a strong arm around your waste, pulling you in. His other hand cupped the back of your head, tilting your face up to his. For a moment he hovered over you, as if waiting for your permission. You reached up to cup his face, thumbing over one of the tusks jutting out of his mouth.
His lips met yours. It started slow, like sipping on a glass of fine wine. Then it was hungry. Like you had both been starved. You were getting drunk off of the needy little grunts he was making, pulling you in flush with his body. You could feel him through his trousers, and it startled you out of your stupor a bit. You hadnât been with anyone before, and it was bound to happen sooner or later, but this was a bit more than you ever imagined.
It was almost like he sensed your tension, pulling away to look into your eyes, âLetâs get clean.â He had brought his thumb up to caress over your cheek, planting a small peck before jogging to his tent. Watching him disappear under the flap, your mind raced. What if you werenât ready? What if heâs not patient?
He bounded out towards the stream, beckoning you over. He started to frown as you got closer, like he could smell the apprehension coming off of you, âDo you need to go slower? Do you want to go home? Nothing has to happen. Nothing at all. You are in charge.â
He started unlacing the ties of his trousers. You instinctually looked away, giving him privacy he clearly didnât need. With the sound of water sloshing you looked back at him submerged up to his sternum. You approached the waterâs edge, looking down into the little bubbles churning in the current. âHey⊠whatâs wrong?â He waded over to the edge, leaning onto the grassy bank. There wasnât any aire of seduction in his voice, just one of genuine tenderness.
You sucked it up and opened your mouth, âIâve never done this beforeâŠâ
âWith an orc?â
âNo like⊠Iâve never done this before⊠ever.â You winced as the words came out. You were a grown adult, this conversation shouldnât feel embarrassing. But it did nonetheless.
âAnd so you donât want to do this?â He didnât seem fazed at all by the information. âNo!â You yelped out a little too enthusiastically, âNo- I mean, yes. Yes I do want to. I want you.â
You started to pull at the ties of your shirt, face so flushed it was probably glowing red. He couldnât take his eyes off of you. You ripped the shirt off your head like pulling off a bandaid, exposing your chest to the warm summer air. You went to fiddle with the strings of your work pants. He still didnât look away, and you didnât ask him to.
And there you were, clothed only in moonlight. Khargaad thought, maybe the moon had come out just for you tonight, to see your beauty for itself.
You stepped down into the water. âAre you sure youâre human? Not a beautiful fairy playing tricks on me?â Khargaad was completely entranced by you, eyes roaming over the curve of your shoulders to the curves of your breasts.
You felt some of the tension ease, snorting at him âI donât think a fairy would smell this bad.â He gasped a bit as if he had just remembered, grabbing a bar of soap he had retrieved from the tent. âMay I?â He asked, lathering up the bar in his hands.
You nodded, letting him wade closer to you. You felt the palms of his massive hands begin to work themselves into your hair, massaging his fingers into your scalp. âOh-â You exclaimed a rather embarrassing moan, but it felt so good. He finished and went to clean his own hair. âHey, itâs my turn now!â You scolded him. He was more than happy to let you clean him. As he said previously, itâs a part of orc culture to do things with other people. That includes bathing.
And oh how he loved to see you doing orc things. Like wearing that yellow dress dyed with orc spices, and making those pickled eggs for him. It made him think about how great it would be to bring you home with him, to meet all of his family. For you to find a place in his tribe. He missed home a lot, and now you were a part of that picture. You finished running your fingers through the curls of his clean hair.
He heard the sloshing of water, turning around to see you drying yourself off. He joined you. You cast a quick glimpse below his waist, blushing furiously at his partially hard cock.
You walked together to the flap of the tent. The inside surprised you. It was so⊠cozy. âAh-â He had leaned down to nuzzle into your neck, you loved the feeling of his tusks against your skin. He pulled you to what could best be described as a nest. A nest of pillows and blankets. He very carefully leaned you onto your back, âIs this okay?â
You giggled at him, âYes Khargaad. I will tell you if I need to stop, okay?â
âPromise?â He leaned back on his knees, his olive green skin looking lovely in the warm glow of the lantern lighting the tent. His member was on full display, completely unashamed. The way it twitched in anticipation made your stomach flutter. âYes.â
He lied down next to you, peppering little kisses in the crook of your neck. His hands began to roam your body, starting with your shoulders and slowly moving down to your tits. His calloused palm grazed over the sensitive peaks, causing you to let out a breathy sigh. He took your left breast into his hand, thumbing over your hardened nipple. He palmed your chest for a few moments more, like he was savoring each and every new part of you he explored. You felt his cock hard against your leg. You shifted your thigh, giving him just the lightest sensation of friction. The groan he mumbled into your skin made you feel hot between your legs. You clenched your thighs together, trying to get some relief.
His hand traveled down to your stomach, caressing the curves and grabbing a soft handful of skin. âGoodâŠâ He whispered. You shivered as his hand glided over your hips, so close to your entrance. He reached for the inside of your thigh, pulling it over into his cock. He let out another breathy sigh that left you completely slick with desire. His hand hovered over the mess of hair covering your mound. You opened your legs, giving him permission.
He started by slowly palming you, just beginning to give you the attention your pussy was desperate for. You felt a finger slip past your folds, getting drenched in the slickness. Khargaad shifted you up a bit so he could have better access to your chest. He dipped down, taking a nipple into his mouth and sucked playfully. âOh f-fuck-â You were stuttering at the pleasure of it all. He grinned into your chest, âKeep making those noises sweetheart.â The pet name made your heart flutter.
He kept gently probing a finger up and down your slit, until he dipped one down just at the beginning of your entrance. His fingers were bigger than your own, but this wasn't so much of a stretch. He slowly sheathed the finger in you, âTight.â He grunted. He made a come hither motion into that sensitive spot of your inner walls. You yelped out a completely sinful moan as he prodded you a few more times. His finger exited your hole, pulling the wetness of your cunt onto your swollen and sensitive clit.
âKhargaad-â Your hips bucked up into him as he swirled long languid circles around that little bundle of nerves. He pulled off, and sat back on his knees, âCan I taste you?â
It was the way he asked more than anything. Like he was close to begging for it. You nodded, spreading your legs for him. He settled down in front of you, using both of his thumbs to spread your lips apart. You felt the tip of his fat tongue probe your needy pussy. He reached up to play with your nipples, while he moved up to your throbbing clit. He started with light kitten-licks, making you whine and buck up into his mouth. That wonderful tongue of his made swirls and then quick flickering motions over the sensitive spot. At this point you were almost completely lost in pleasure, and reached down to thread your fingers through his soft brown curls.Â
You were already sensitive when he started, so you were very close to finishing. You actually yelled when he inserted a finger into you. Prodding that sensitive spot while attacking your sensitive clit; it was making the most obscene wet noises. âClose.â That was all you could manage as he devoured you. There it was, feeling crushed over you like a ton of bricks. You coated this hand, legs spasming. He dipped down to lap up the remnants of your release. Your taste, your smell, the feeling of his hair clenched in your fist. He was addicted.
He leaned back, taking in his work. You had a hand on your forehead and a hand on your chest, calming down from what you just experienced. You glanced down at him, both hands on his thighs. His cock was completely erect, tip glistening with pre-cum. It was so heavy it bowed down under its own weight. âY/nâŠâ He was trying to figure out what to say next. His cock needed to be buried in your pretty little cunt. He needed to bottom out into you. He wanted to hear the sound of his heavy balls slapping against your skin with every thrust. But he couldnât say that, though. He didnât want to push you if you werenât ready.
So when you propped yourself up on your elbows, legs spread for him, he almost felt like crying. His human mate was so strong. So ready for him.
He crawled over you, pinning your legs over his shoulders. He took the base of his cock into his fist, guiding it slowly over your folds. You were so warm for him. He pushed his pulsating tip past your lips, wincing from the sensitivity. He couldnât take his eyes off of you, but you were completely entranced watching his cock slide into you. His tip found your hole, sliding in but not going any further. He was absolutely strangeling the pillow he was resting his hand on, trying to maintain control. Khargaad was watching you, every little subtle expression. He kept sinking himself into you, stopping when you made the first wince of pain. He was big, and you were so tight.Â
âY/n?â You looked up at him through those pretty lashes. He nearly lost it all right there, just from the eye-contact. You got off of your elbows, leaning down completely. You gave a little nod, still making direct eye contact. Slowly and gently, he worked his way in until his hips were flush with yours. He leaned back, still buried in you, letting you adjust to the stretch.
He wouldnât last long at all, seeing you like this. Your little face with knotted brows, arms thrown overhead. Khargaad brought his hand to your stomach, rubbing little circles into the soft skin with his thumb. You were perfect. Perfect to take his seed. Perfect for growing a little half-orc.
He wouldnât yet, of course. Not until you were ready. For you, he would wait as long as needed. But his strange orc hormones and instincts craved it beyond explanation.
He began rocking out and back into you, keeping a slow languid pace. You reached out for him, and in an instant his head was nuzzled in your neck again. His pace started to ramp up a bit, earning little mewls from your lips. Oh he definitely wouldn't last much longer. âW-whereâŠâ His breath hitched in your ear. âHuh?â You were too flustered to try to understand what he was asking.
âGoing to-â He was hissing and groaning, barely able to work out a sentence, âOn your body- ah- or o-on the bed?â His motions were getting jerky. âFuck- sorry- oh fuck.â
He pulled out just barely in time to empty himself onto your stomach. He fucked his rough fist through the climax, sighing at the sight of his seed coating your tummy. It felt a lot warmer than you expected, and much more⊠volume. He finally let go of his cock, reaching for a linen cloth and dunking it in a bowl of water he had set nearby. âI made a messâŠâ
He sounded so guilty, and you giggled at him teasingly. One of his hands cupped your face, while the other softly wiped the length of your cunt, messy from your own slickness. He wiped the cum that was coated across your stomach, being careful not to spill any on the bed.
âYou did so good.â He started cooing sweet nothings to you while running his thumbs across your cheekbone, âWore me outâŠâ He chuckled, throwing the rag across the room. He yawned and stretched his arms above him.
âDo you want me to go home now?â You were all too familiar with the stories women told about men finishing and ordering them to leave. You didnât quite have the confidence yet, to advocate for yourself. To tell him you wanted to spend the night wrapped up in his arms.
For Khargaad, this question felt like an arrow to the heart. Had he not done enough? To make it clear how badly he needed you with him? He laid down next to you, pulling you close, âI would kill the person who would try to take you from me right now.â
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is Part 5 for you lovelies <3 <3 <3 btw Khargaad is living in a yurt, that's what I was trying to describe lol.
I attached a playlist I put together. These are the songs I've been listening to while writing this, if anyone wants to hear the vibes :3

Breaking Records or Breaking the Internet? | Vivianne Miedema x Reader
Words: 2.5k
Summary: COVID doesnât exist, Viv didnât have to undergo another knee surgery, Iâm basing the main character off Arnie Titmus (I love her sm) but I am also just making shit up
Warnings: not proofread
Your first Olympics had been 2012 in London. Barely 15, you emerged from the water an Olympic record holder with your first piece of Olympic gold weighing on your neck. As a young girl from a rural town in Tasmania, you hadnât expected to make a career out of swimming, but with every competition, every new medal, every regional, national and world record that you claim, it begins to feel real.
As a young girl from rural Tasmania who grew up extremely religious, you hadnât expected to reach all these milestones with the girl of your dreams.
It was unclear how and why Vivianne Miedema showed up to your 200m Freestyle final swim at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. The rest of her team was surely back at the hotel or walking the streets of Tokyo, but here she was. Your eyes were drawn to her in the bright orange jacket all Dutch athletes had to wear, talking enthusiastically with Dawn Fraser, both of them pointing at you as you wait for your name to be called at the podium.
âWith a new Olympic Record, 1st place is Y/N L/N!!â The voice echoes throughout the hall before cheers erupt from every corner. With a smile you bend to accept the medal that placed around your neck, then your eyes return to the unanticipated duo.
After congratulating your competitors and talking to family and friends, you make your way over to them. Dawn is pulling you into a hug and praising you before a word can escape your mouth, before turning to the tall dutchie next to her who has a tight lipped but kind smile.
âThis is Vivianne Miedema. Sheâs a big fan of yours.â Of course you knew who she was. You were a big fan of herâs.
âItâs so lovely to meet you. Youâre probably my favourite non-Australian player. I canât wait to watch your game against Zambia.â
âYouâre coming to the game?â
âOf course.â
Many, many people had caught that interaction, followed by your long talks on the pitch after her games or beside the pool at other record-breaking swims. The natural development from the internet was speculation about whether you were a couple. At the time you certainly werenât. Strictly new friends.
But then you showed up to more Netherlands and even an occasional Arsenal game, and she showed up to more swim meets. The conversations last longer, the touches lingered, the glances toward each otherâs lips increased. Everything was just more⊠intense.
So one fateful day in 2022 during your (short) off-season, you decided to visit her in London. It wasnât a surprise technically, you just decided to arrive a few days earlier than planned and surprise her at the game. There was something telling you, you needed to come early. So Caitlin had sorted out your ticket and happily gave you a lift from the airport to the stadium.
-
Viv easily spotted you during warm up, with your hair in the same messy bun it had been for the past day and a bright orange âMiedemaâ jersey adoring your torso, one that she had personally given to you after her first 2020 Olympics match. She happily made her way over to you, swinging her leg back and forth to mimic the exercise she was supposed to be doing as she grinned the same grin youâd found yourself stuck admiring time and time again. But it didnât quite meet her eyes the same way it always did. Something was brewing.
âI canât believe youâre here. You werenât meant to arrive until Monday.â
âCouldnât miss a big game, could I? Is- is everything okay? Something seems off.â
âYeah, yeah of course why wouldnât it be?â
âYour smile doesnât reach your eyes today.â your hand rests on the side of her head, thumb stroking the spot beside her eye which is usually occupied by crows feet that show much love and joy she has.
âI donât know. Iâve just felt off all week. I was going to ask Jonas to take me off the roster this morning but I donât want to through everyone off. Iâm sure itâll be okay.â
âIf youâre sure liefje.â You press a kiss to the palm of her hand and send her back down the tunnel, anticipation and worry burning in your gut.
-
Lyon was up 1 by the end of the first 45 minutes of normal time, but there looked like hope for the English side during the extra 3 minutes. Viv was playing well in midfield. She wasnât as strong as usual, but it just looked like she was taking it easy; making open passes and wasting no time in passing the ball to the next player.
But then she makes a run to meet Lia, trying to grab the ball from her feet.
She kicks.
She misses.
She falls.
She doesnât get back up.
Blood pounds in your ears and you wait in bated breath as the medics assess her knee.
Her knee.
Sheâs shifted onto the stretcher, but you donât see any more as you rush out of the family and friendâs section and demand a security guard take you to see her, flashing your badge. This was the bad feeling. You both knew something would happen and ignored it. It almost felt like you fault.
The doors crash against the brick walls, and you speed walk down the hall to the medical room where Viv is laying quietly while the medics do further assessment. They ask questions and she answers in short, quiet breaths.
âIt doesnât hurt anymore.â
âItâs unstable.â
âI canât walk on it.â
âIt popped when I fell.â No no no no. You whisper the three letters before anyone in the room can even think them.
Suddenly all eyes are on you. The medicâs eyes are apologetic and shocked at the arrival of a new voice, but Vivâs are tired and welled with tears. She looks so broken. So you sit in the seat next to her head and take one hand in your own while your other lifts to stroke through her hair.
âItâs going to be okay.â you whisper in her ear.
âI canât do this. I canât do this.â
âIâm right here itâs going to be okay. Iâve got youâ
~~~~~
About 2 months after the initial injury on a particularly difficult night for the Dutch, you found yourselves huddled up together in her bed watching Friends for the second time. Neither of you were talking but you found yourself staring at Viv while Chandler continues to ramble on about how much he loves Monica. Soulmates destined to be. And then you found yourself staring into Vivâs cloudy grey eyes, slowly leaning in. You waited for Viv to stop you but she says and does nothing, so you let your lips meet. Itâs a delicate kiss, just two people who have been in love with each other for years, finally professing their feelings.
There was no conversation about what that kiss meant for you two, but it seemed to be an unspoken decision that you were now together. You slept beside each other, kissed at every opportunity, and supported one another through everything. You were in your own private world.
The recovery process proved to be difficult but you hadnât left Vivâs side for a moment, officially announcing you were taking a break from this swimming season for unforeseeable amount of time. But the injury had taken a big toll had been her mental health. Most days she didnât want to get out of bed, let alone leave the house, and every day you were to expect multiple apologies for being difficult to take care of.
Every bad comment was met with a kiss and a promise to stay by her side until you were absolutely no longer needed.
-
Viv made her return almost a year after the injury, coming on late into the second half, only to score two goals against Tottenham. You cheered as loud as you could, and smiled widely when she sent a hand heart your way in celebration. Youâd agreed to keep your relationship private in terms of itâs development. Most journalists who had asked about it had been told you were taking care of a dear friend and had been looking for a chance to take a year off anyway, so the timing lined up. But she couldnât help but silently give thanks to the person who had gotten her through it all. Who brought her back
~~~~~
You managed to make it back to training in time to decently prepare for Paris qualifiers. Youâd kept up doing almost daily training during your time in England, but nowhere near the extent you were used to as the multiple time World and Olympic Champion under Boxall. Seven straight months of hard work, day in and day out, and youâd be in shape for qualifiers, and in perfect shape to take on the best of the best.
Everyday consisted of 4-6 hours in the pool and in the gym, a session in the early morning and another after lunch, a nap, and then a long call with Viv while you ate dinner and she had lunch. It was hard being away from her after spending a whole year beside her. The bed was cold, the house felt empty, things just werenât the same. But you both knew it needed to be done.
-
By the time early July came around, you genuinely felt like you were a new person. Before the year long break things had begun to feel tedious and swimming was losing itâs meaning. You were still performing as the best in the world, but it was automatic. But now everything felt⊠right.
And the qualifiers showed it.
You broke your own world records multiple times with ease, and every round made you feel alive again. There was no Viv in bright orange to cheer you along this time but you knew sheâd be proud. And she made sure you knew she was with every nightly call, proclaiming her love and support for you.
-
Viv accompanying you to Paris was a well kept secret between the two of you. In the days leading up to your first races, you wondered around the village texting her, desperate to know what she was doing out in the city. More often than not, the answer was that she refused to see any big sites without you, waiting until you are completely done to explore the city of love.
She was in the crowd of every race without fail, the same bright orange jacket she wore the first time you met. Your ear was trained to hear her and your eyes knew where to look, she would be sitting in the exact same seat every time. The proud smile on her face made your heart flutter and it takes everything within you not to run up to her and kiss her after clambering out of the water.
Halfway through the swimming events youâve managed to rack up five golds and once again break your own world records, barely skimming off 0.2 seconds each time.
Then it came to the big finale. You were known for your short distance swims. 100m and 200m freestyle and butterfly were your dominant fields, but you were adamant to at least try and land on the podium for the 1500m freestyle beside Katie Ledecky.
It was a shock to you, your coach and most of the nation when you had passed through the qualifiers, and then you qualified for the semis. Now you were on to the final. Youâd never been this nervous in your career and all you wanted in that moment was a hug from your girlfriend, but you needed to lock in.
Youâre lined up in the tunnel.
Your name is called.
Youâre standing behind the podium for lane 7.
Youâre on the podium in position.
The whistle blows.
Youâre submerged in the water.
The rest of the race is a blur. One lap becomes 10 and 10 becomes 20 and then suddenly youâre onto the last 50 metres. Just 50 more metres. You have no idea if youâre in front or if youâve fallen behind, but you push until your hand slides against the ceramic tile of the pool wall.
Gasping for air, you pull off your goggles and look around the pool. Most other people are finished, but you have no clue for how long, and the final swimmer slots in beside your no more than 20 seconds after. You donât expect a big victory as you all turn to the board, waiting for the results.
âIn second⊠lane 4, United States of America, Katie Ledecky!â the room echoes with cheers and shouts of confusion. Second? This is her race. This is what sheâs known for. Who could possibly have beaten the Katie Ledecky?
âAnd with a new world and Olympic record of 15:20.34, lane 7, Australia, Y/N L/N!â the screams are deafening as the crowd and your competitors alike cheer for you.
You hug and thank each of them, before making your way to the podium where you receive your gold. Tears stream down your face as photos are taken from all angles, and you pull Katie and Anastaysia up beside you, recognising their efforts. But all you can think about is Viv, waiting impatiently against the barrier for a moment of your time.
The happiness and excitement keeps building up within you as youâre finally freed from media, and you run to your girlfriend, grabbing her face and kissing her. In the back of your head you know this will be making news headlines everywhere in all of an hours time, but you donât care. How could you? Itâs the perfect way to celebrate all your hard earned success. Kissing the love of your life.
âI love you so much. Iâm so so proud of you liefje.â She pecks your lips again.
âI couldnât have done it without you, lieveling.â
~~~~~
You get to leave the village the next day, and youâre thankful to leave the Styrofoam mattresses and cardboard bedframes behind. Your hotelâs king sized bed with a memory foam mattress, completed with the warmth of your girlfriendâs arms is the only upgrade you could ask for. She presses kisses to your shoulder as you scroll through twitter, many fans of both yourself and Viv sharing words of adoration and happiness for your now public relationship as pictures of your kiss spread across the internet.
When Viv picked you up from the village to take you to breakfast at a small Parisian café down the road from the hotel, you both decided to officially, officially, announce the fact you were together. You took photos together throughout the day, her kissing you on the cheek, your hands being held between you, the way you looked at her. Anything of the two of you. You turned it into a collage and posted it to Instagram.
Y/N_L/N
@ y/n_l/n âbreaking records and breaking the internet in the same week. there is no on else Iâd rather do it with than the love of my life. Ik zal je in elk leven vinden.â (I will find you in every life).
This was the life you wanted to live. Forever. With Viv.
Stress Ball - CC
Pairing: Caitlin Clark x Reader
Summary: The little things you do for Caitlin when she is stressed during a game (based on THIS request)
Warnings: Stressed CC
Word Count: 1.6k
Sweetbans Masterlist
AN: What I would give to be able to do this for her.
The expectations that the world has on Caitlin are unrealistic. Still in her rookie year, people have higher expectations on her than they do veterans who have been playing 5+ years in the league. Now that is not to say Caitlin is not capable because she very much is but the last thing she needs is someone else adding on to the expectations she has on herself.
When you first met Caitlin it was always in passing, playing against each other in tournaments and things like that. It wasn't until you both got drafted to Indiana that you really started to get to know each other. The two of you immediately hit it off in training camp and it was right before the first preseason game when you asked her out. To say things moved fast was an understatement.
It's now 4 months into the season and it has felt like you have been together for years. Being with Caitlin came so easy it was almost scary. Yet every time it felt like it should have gone up in flames, it didn't. The two of you would figure it out together and grow. You complemented each other well.
That leads you to right now. The Fever are playing the Lynx for the last time this season and everything is going wrong for the rookie star. At the end of the first quarter she has no points, 1 rebound and 1 assist. That is including the 2 personal fouls and 2 turnovers.
Everyone breaks from the first quarter huddle and Caitlin doesn't stand up. She just sits there her Gatorade towel bitten between her teeth. She loves those things more than she loves you (not actually but you tease her about it all the time). You can tell she is stuck in her mind which is exactly where she shouldn't be in a time like this. Down 10 after the first, the team needs her to not be stressed but locked in.
You grab your towel and place it around her shoulder. Usually you would pull at her towel and annoy her but seeing her state you decide against it.
Caitlin doesn't look up at you and continues to chew on her towel. You place your hand on her head, moving it to the side of it to sooth other her hair when she leans her head into your hand.
Nothing is said, nothing needs to be said. You know where she is at and she knows you know what she is at.
The buzzard rings and Caitlin finally stands. You remove the towel you put around her shoulders and she puts down her towel as the two of you walk back out to the floor.
The second quarter goes a little better. Caitlin gets on the board with a quick 4 points and it seems like there is momentum building. That is until things get heated between Temi and Alana.
You know Caitlin hates when she is starting to build momentum and something stops it. With a little confrontation on the floor, Caitlin becomes visibly frustrated and she throws her hands up in the air. walking in the other direction. You first help Aliyah grab Temi as the teams are told to go to their respective benches while the refs watch the replay.
Cait is standing on the floor with her hands on her hips, completely unamused. You walk over to her and push her to the bench. While walking behind her, your hands massage her shoulders before coming down to pinch her waist.
"Don't worry, your rhythm will be there when we get back on," you say softly to her. She nods once.
You never want to overstep when it comes to comforting Caitlin on the court. And you would say you do a pretty good job of making sure that you don't but today seems like one of those days where you just can't do enough.
At the half, Caitlin has been doing better but you can tell by her mannerisms that she is not playing near to the standard she is holding herself to.
As everyone is walking back out to the court to stay warm, you grab Caitlin's arm before heading out of the tunnel.
"Hey," you say but she won't make eye contact with you. "Look at me."
When she doesn't, you know she is internally fighting with you and she doesn't want to give in.
You grab her face and force her to look at you. You want to say something, give her encouraging words but know that would only piss her off so you settle with kissing her on the nose.
The action earns you a little smile from her and you let go of her. She begins walking back out and you give her a little slap on the butt.
"Hey!" She squeals causing you to laugh and run out in front of her onto the court.
The third quarter is better. You can see she is playing more like herself. She has made the decision to out the team on her back and carry everyone to the finish line. Everything was going much better until she is fouled and the refs don't make the call.
Her arms come up in a 'how did you not see that' motion and you are quick to grab her arm. The ball goes back the opposing way and Phee draws the foul on Lyss. Everyone is just standing around while the refs discuss something and you notice Caitlin getting frustrated with her hair. You look over at her redoing it for the second time in a row as she lets out a annoyed puff.
You walk over to your girl and pull her hair out of her last attempt. She is about to protest but you are forcing her to bend over so you can collect all of her hair. She giggles, surprising you as you allow her to flip back up.
Now standing begin her as you sooth out the bumps and tie the hair tie around it.
"What is so funny?" You ask as you finish and she turns around smiling. The refs finally walk back over and give Phee her first free throw shot.
"I drooled," Caitlin says as you both look down at the court where sure enough, there was a little pile of Caitlin's spit.
"Ewww gross," you say teasing her and she pushes you playfully. She uses her shoes to clear out it out and you help her. When one of the court-side workers see the two of you trying to clear something up, they run over and wipe it with a towel.
"Careful there, she might be contagious," you tease as the guy looks at you confused. Caitlin just rolls her eyes and pushes you again.
You finish helping her with her hair but bringing her little headband back up to keep the little fly-aways out of her face.
"All better," you say and she looks at you with a little smile.
"Thank you," she says.
"Now let's win this game," you say and push her back to the back court to get the inbound pass.
The game comes down to the wire as the Fever somehow manage to pull out the win. Caitlin and Aliyah head to the pressor after while you and the rest of the team get to head back to the locker.
They are almost through the pressor when someone asks about the interactions between you and Caitlin.
"Caitlin, how do you manage stress when you are on the floor? It seems like you weren't playing like your usual self starting the game off but then came back and dominated the second half." The reported says.
Aliyah looks over at Caitlin with a knowing look.
"Ya, how do you manage your stress on the floor?" Aliyah says egging Caitlin on.
"Well, I have great teammates that know how to lift me up. The success of the team doesn't rely on one person. The win didn't come with me in the second half - ya sure, I helped and contributed but it first started off with Aliyah in the first half. She kept us in the game until I was able to heat up a little." Caitlin says, not specifically mentioning you. Regardless of if she mentions you or not, she knows there are going to be a disgusting amount of edits by tomorrow morning of the two of you, not that she ever minds.
As Aliyah and Caitlin are walking back, Aliyah bumps Caitlin.
"I am so telling your girl you just called her your teammate," Aliyah says.
"She is, she is our teammate," Caitlin says.
"Ya but you and the whole world knows she is is the sole reason you were able to get out of your head and back in this game and you just called her a teammate," Aliyah says.
"It isn't a big deal," Caitlin says.
"Fine, then I am going to go and tell her exactly what you said," Aliyah say as she picks up her pace to run and tell you that Caitlin only called you her teammate and not her girlfriend.
"No, wait!" Caitlin calls after Aliyah as she picks up her pace to stop her from tattling.
AN: Short and sweet! Let me know what you think! And as always, thank you for the love and support
In your head | Leah Williamson
Leah Williamson x reader It's England's match against the Netherlands, and your girlfriend is willing to do anything to win. Warnings: I think you may find some of the comments a little suggestive. note: set in England's last game, but I changed a few things here and there
You hadn't seen Leah for days, each of you in a different country preparing for a big game as it was every time England played the Netherlands. Your team a little more comfortable than Leah's in terms of qualification, but you would be playing at Wembley in front of an abysmal crowd and as Leah used to say, "The English are never done", so at the end of the day it was a tough game.
At your feet was the chance for your girlfriend to qualify for the Olympics next year, but there was also the chance to take your team to the Olympics.
"Good morning, Miss England" Jill sat down next to you for breakfast, ruffling your hair as she passed behind you.
"Shut up" you said arranging your hair back to how it was before "Why are you only picking on me, Viv is sitting right in front of me and no one says anything to her."
Viv raised her head and smiled mischievously. "Don't drag me into your fights, kiddo."
"Well Viv's face doesn't change every time she has to play against her girlfriend" Jill said as if it was nothing "But you instead haven't smiled for days because you keep thinking about how you don't want to kick your girlfriend's ass."
"These are tough days" you muttered lowering your head "This week it's this game, but then when I go back to England it's Arsenal against Chelsea".
That was another factor, you were playing for Chelsea, having only just won a starting place this season, and winning that game would mean securing the top spot in the table, but Arsenal was desperate for those 3 points and of course Leah was too.
"You're messing with your own head," Viv commented, folding her arms on the table, "Leah knows how to separate things and you should do the same."
"Just worry about giving 100% of yourself" said Jill patting you on the back "Because I assure you Leah will."
"How was the flight?" Leah looked radiant through the screen, smiling practically from ear to ear "You look tired".
"Uh... yeah, I didn't get much sleep during the flight" you mentioned settling better in your bed "How have you been feeling these days? No complications during training?"
Leah narrowed her eyes "Are you trying to get information out of me?"
"What?! Of course not!" you quickly defended yourself "I'm concerned about the physical health of my girlfriend who is apparently going to have her first game as a starter since her injury"
"I'll pretend I believe you" Leah replied laughing "But everything's fine, according to Sarina I'm fit enough to start."
"Good news then"
"Huh, tell your face that" muttered Leah frowning "You know you don't have to go easy on me during the game, right?"
"Yeah" A lie.
"Babe, we're professionals, it's our job to do this. A lot can happen in a match, whoever wins this isn't better than the other, okay? Everything will still be fine."
"I know... it just feels weird."
Leah disappeared for a few seconds from your screen.
"Uh, the girls are calling me. I should go, but please stop thinking about us like that, okay? Go to sleep, I love you."
"Hm, I love you more. Bye."
The atmosphere in the stadium was overwhelming, the energy of the crowd could be felt from the tunnel.
"Looking good, number 25" Leah's voice sounded behind you.
"Uh, you too" you muttered without even turning to look at her, your eyes fixed on Jill's back, who was watching the situation out of the corner of her eye.
"Oh⊠but love, you haven't even looked at me" her tone was full of teasing. That plus the mixture of her perfume in the air was starting to get to you, "Babe?" your girlfriend's fingers took your chin and made you turn to look at her. "Hi" her smile was dazzling, she knew she was getting what she wanted "How do I look?" she asked raising her eyebrow.
You looked her up and down instinctively, did she look better than usual today? Probably. She always looked good when she wore her England kit, but today she looked amazing.
"You look... amazing" you replied almost as if Leah's gaze had you under a spell.
"What the fuck" Jill turned away, fed up with the situation, slapping Leah's arm to get her to let you go "Get out of here, Williamson."
Leah immediately raised her hands, pretending to be innocent, when she saw Daan also approaching to see what was going on.
"Good luck" she said looking at them and walked off to the start of the tunnel but not before winking at you.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" said Jill giving you a little shake.
"What?"
"Your girlfriend is getting in your head" Daan said looking sideways at Leah who was still smiling "Please YN, we all here know Leah, we knew it was going to be like this because she needs to win this game"
"I told you Leah would give her 100%, and if she's resorting to these stunts it's because she doesn't care if she has to beat you, she'll get it one way or another." said Jill "Listen to me, you will go out there, do your job, you will destroy Earps goal and only after that you will remember again that your girlfriend is the England captain, do you hear me?" this time Jill whispered in your ear as all the other girls from the England team had arrived in the tunnel.
"Okay, enough you two" you said getting a little annoyed "I'm a professional woman, I won't let my relationship affect my work and you should trust me as my teammates and friends.â
"We just want to make sure that-"
"No, I'm not a child who should be told what to do, now shut up you two" was the last thing you said to focus your eyes straight ahead, totally concentrated.
You were so focused on the game that you didn't even notice Daan and Jill high fiving behind you.
The first goal for your team came after the first 10 minutes, thanks to you and your ability to leave Lucy Bronze behind you. You also had another advantage, it wasn't the first time you had faced Earps so you knew where to shoot at the right time, so it was no surprise that your shot ended up in the back of the net.
Jill was the first to jump on you as you ran to a corner of the stadium where you could see some fans wearing the Netherlands shirt.
"That's what I was talking about!" Jill shouted in your ear as she kept hugging you.
Leah was watching out of the corner of her eye, chatting with Lucy, her jaw clenched thinking about how hard it would be to stop you.
Lucy was the one in charge of marking you, but now on every corner kick the person behind you was your girlfriend.
"Nice goal" she murmured close to your ear.
It was the first corner kick in favour of the Netherlands, so you were scared when you heard her voice, thinking that another girl would mark you.
You didn't say anything back, just pressed your elbow against her abdomen when you felt her too close.
"Too bad it was the last one." She muttered again, this time placing a hand on your waist and squeezing.
"Get the fuck off" you mumbled, starting to move from side to side to get her off.
"That's cute" was the last thing she said before the ball was kicked into the box, specifically looking for your head, but finding Leah's head first, who had no trouble clearing it out of the box.
"Shit" you muttered, glancing at Leah who was ignoring you again to focus on her team's counterattack.
"Focus on the game, YN" Vic said walking past you, giving you an encouraging pat on your back.
The first half ended with the Netherlands holding a one-goal lead. You had had a couple of chances at goal, but now in addition to having Lucy behind you, Leah was making a double effort to mark you in the same way, managing three times to get the ball away from you as cleanly as possible, as she always did.
During the half time talk no one mentioned the issue of Leah getting into your head, because from the look on your face everyone could tell that you were 100% focused on the game.
There were only 45 more minutes to go.
But to increase the lead you only needed 20.
"Hey, gorgeous" Leah's voice was in your ear again at another corner kick.
"God, shut the fuck up" you said pulling your body back, pushing her away. Leah, taking advantage of your action, raised her arms when she saw the referee signalling for you to stop the contact.
"You know what you do to me when you talk like that?" she whispered pressing her body against you once her teammates blocked the referee's view "It makes me want to make you- Hey!"
Before Leah could finish her words, your elbow had hit her abdomen hard.
"You two!" the referee came running up to where you were, giving words of warning to you and Leah.
"Come on love, let's be professional" Leah said once the referee left, her face was serious, but you knew her tone of voice showed how much she was enjoying the whole situation.
"Yeah, professionals" you muttered before you heard the referee's whistle.
The ball this time didn't go to your head, but to Daan's head instead, who's attempt unfortunately hit the crossbar, making the ball bounce back to your feet, Leah away from you because she had gone to clear Daan's first attempt.
It wasn't the best position to shoot, you didn't use your good foot either, but still the ball hit the net with the little push you gave it.
Now the Netherlands was 2 goals up on the scoreboard.
The whole team went up to you, celebrating between the rest of the English players who looked at each other blankly, including Leah, who was shaking her head with her hands resting on her waist.
It was all up to you to score a third goal, there were still 15 minutes left, not counting extra time. In a counterattack you were left with only Earps in front of you, but Lucy didn't hesitate to put her foot between your legs making you fall.
The foul had been called and Lucy had got a yellow card, because although she had made you fall it was not a red card action. But after a minute you were still on the ground.
You had fallen badly, with your wrist taking all your weight, plus apparently you had hit your head, or so said Vic who was the first to get to your side to keep you on the ground.
"The stretcher is coming" she said brushing some of the dirt and grass off your face.
"Babe? What hurts?" for the first time in the whole match you heard the tone of voice that Leah was used to using with you, a tone full of softness. One of her hands was placed on your abdomen, and she used her other hand to help Vic wipe your face.
"It's my hand," was all you said, opening your eyes to see that she was kneeling next to you. You weren't sure, but it felt like Leah let out a sigh when she heard that the problem was your hand and not your leg.
"You'll go to the bench." Leah murmured, watching one of your teammates take off her jacket to enter the field.
"Oh, you'll be happy now, Leah?" Vic teased her with a smirk.
"Shut up, Pelova" she said denying, but smiled anyway "Good, here comes the medical staff. I hope it's nothing serious" she said giving you a squeeze on the shoulder before getting up and returning to her position.
When you sat on the bench you were not unhappy with your performance, you had scored the two goals that led your team to a momentary win, but within minutes of you being substituted Leah's iconic phrase was ringing in your ears.
"The English are never done."
It only took your girlfriend and her team the remaining fifteen minutes and 3 minutes of extra time to turn the game around and take the 3 points.
"I can't believe it" was what you muttered as the final whistle blew, covering your face with your jacket, tears on the verge of flowing.
One of your teammates placed her hand on your thigh to reassure you, you didn't know who it was because you didn't remove your jacket from your face until several minutes later.
"Come on, YN" Viv grabbed your arm, forcing you to stand up.
You walked hugging her all the way to the centre of the pitch, where Beth and the other Arsenal girls were.
"Damn YN, I didn't know you had those goals in you" was the first thing Beth said, giving you a hug "You did well, don't worry" she murmured in your ear, knowing -thanks to Viv- how much you were worried about this match.
"You were a real nightmare," said Alessia, who then gestured to you to exchange shirts. "I hope I never see you doing what you did today again" she said with a laugh, referring to the next league match.
"I can't promise anything" you said shyly, still a little upset about losing. You were about to add something else, but in the distance you heard Leah's voice approaching. "Uh, I'll go inside, I think my arm still hurts, so I'll see if they can give me something for the pain."
Viv noticed the lie, but didn't say anything, just gave your healthy arm a squeeze. As soon as you started walking away from the group Leah did too, but Viv was quicker and managed to grab her arm to integrate her into the conversation and stop her from going after you.
"Great game today," Viv said, forcing her to focus on the conversation.
"Yeah, but you guys did well too. I think it was just a bit of luck that goal in extra time."
"That was a masterpiece!" Alessia defended herself, as she had been the one to convert that goal. "But of course, no goal will be that great for you unless it's from YN" she teased Leah, waggling her eyebrows suggestively.
"It's the truth, what YN touches turns into a masterpiece" Leah said, puffing out her chest proudly "I love watching her play, but I'd rather do it from the stands and not a few feet behind her."
"Look at you, flattering your rival, never seen that before from you" this time it was Beth who teased her.
"Since she's been with YN she has become a softie" said Viv, pinching Leah's cheek "Oh, why that grumpy face Williamson?"
"You're all idiots" she said smacking Viv's hand "So what if I've become a softie because of YN? I don't care if you laugh at me."
"We know why you have that grumpy face, Williamson" Jill said appearing behind her, jumping almost on Leah's shoulders "It's because your plan to get into YN's head didn't work out!"
"What do you say?"
"I think you achieved quite the opposite with YN, your words instead of distracting her made her try twice as hard, so thank you for that. Shame we didn't manage to keep the lead but that's the way it goes sometimes."
"Damn" Leah folded her arms "You're saying if I hadn't picked on YN she wouldn't have scored those goals?"
"I mean, she would have anyway, but I think you gave her a little push, so thanks."
At the end of the conversation all the girls laughed at Leah, who had planned all morning to get into your head, but in the end her plan didn't work out.
No one mentioned anything else about the game, let alone Leah. And the truth is, you didn't think about her either, well, that was until after you showered at the hotel, you found a bouquet of flowers on your bed and Jill and Leah chatting on the side.
"No funny business, you hear me?" Jill said to Leah before walking out of the room and leaving you two alone.
The atmosphere was awkward, but Leah didn't care.
"Uh, I brought you flowers" she hurriedly said and took the bouquet, walking over to you and handing it to you, smiling as she saw you accept them "You were amazing today... you were a real nightmare for Lucy and me."
"Don't exaggerate, it wasn't that big of a deal" you said smiling as you saw the card with a dedication in the middle of the flowers "I was the player of the match you think?"
"Yes, I can't deny it" Leah took the flowers from your hands to put it back on the bed "I did what I did because I knew it would be physically impossible to hold you back" she said taking your face, caressing your cheek. "It was a lot easier when you were subbed off, but Lucy got a couple of words from me afterwards."
"You're an idiot for that stupidity to be whispering in my ear the whole game, how old are you? 10?" you said resting your head on her chest.
"What did you expect? You scored a brace, I had to stop you somehow." Leah defended herself.
"Whatever you say... So, we're good then?"
"Yeah, I told you. It's just a game and things happen. I thought you wouldn't want to see me for how much I pissed you off today" she said laughing taking the opportunity to caress your back. "How's your hand?"
"Fine, nothing serious but I need to rest it for a couple of days."
"Good" she said and then started walking to your bed without letting you go, sitting down and making you sit on her lap. "Now... about what I said during that corner kick before your goal..." she said putting her hands on your thighs.
"Hmm..." you settled on top of her, not taking your eyes off her lips "I think that's the first time it's ever bothered me to feel you against my back if I'm being honest."
Leah couldn't hold back her laughter, taking the moment to slip her hands under your shirt "I wanted to do this every time I was behind you" she said before she started kissing you.
You guys stayed like that for a couple of minutes, with Leah murmuring how much she loved you every time she stopped kissing you to catch her breath.
"I've been worried about this match all week" you confessed as you stopped the kissing knowing you couldn't do much more than that.
"Yeah, I know. I think I got text messages every day from your team cursing me out. But I didn't want it to be like that, I like you to give your all always, even if it means being against me."
"It was just a difficult situation, your first game as a starter, qualification, Wembley...."
"I didn't want you to worry about me" she said tucking a few strands of hair behind your ear. "But I want you to know that despite the defeat, I'm proud of what you did today, and I feel like the luckiest person knowing who my girlfriend is and what she's capable of."
"You're such a sweet talker" you laughed but kissed her anyway.
"I know"
Leah patted your thigh to get you off her lap, standing up immediately after that.
"Well I gotta go, see you in a couple of days love."
"Good luck in your next match." You said giving her a last kiss on her lips.
"May the best team qualify, babe."
"Right. Go before you start your little mind games with me" you said pushing her out of the room.
"I love you!"
