I watched Henpocalypse! which was written by Caroline Moran (Caitlin Moran's sister) about a group of women on a hen do weekend when a disease wipes out all the men and they have to fend for themselves along with the male stripper they've held hostage. It was OK but not nearly as groundbreaking as the Moran sisters claimed.

I've been watching Henpocalypse and the cottage they're in reminds me SO MUCH of The Lakes cottage.

I am giggling with girlish glee 😆😆 It boggles my mind that things I write stick with people like this sometimes.

The cabin in question is actually rentable. Although in reality, it doesn't have the ivy all over it 😂

Although I'm absolutely cackling because I just found the cottage listing for the first time and this is genuinely what it says:

Currently watching: Henpocalypse on BBC iPlayer. If I had a nickel for a TV show made in the last three years about a group of women who know each other from high school that are stranded together in a Lord of the Flies scenario, I’d have four nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that there’s that many.

Last movie: Talk To Me (very good!!! and some actually somewhat accurate depictions of Gen Z/teens!)

Currently reading: just started an ARC of The Rule of Three by Sophie Snow.

Currently watching: Strange New Worlds, which is the first ST series I've really loved since the first few seasons of DS9. Also Good Omens (swoon), Queen Charlotte (so much crying), and last night watched first episode of Henpocalypse (dubious).

Currently reading: Am currently listening to every single Jodi Taylor audiobook, in order, while doing jigsaw puzzles. It's taking many months & it is the first time I've ACTUALLY seen somebody snort a drink out their nose for laughing. (husband, re Max's muff)

Current obsessions: Team Iron Man fanfic (there are so many, but still not enough), and the Chronicles of St Mary's apparently. Also, weirdly, NCIS fics that feature competent dinozzo, and slag off all the other characters. No idea what that's all about. I haven't even watched it in years.
