Bole Saunihal, Sat Shree Akal! The most sacred among the serene pilgrimage. #Shri Hemkunt Sahib Gurudwara. I am blessed to cover the trek of 20kms and of which around 15kms stretch is just steep and difficult for many. Got opportunity to travel on opening date of Gurudwara as for 6months Gurudwara remains close due to rough weather and snow capped mountains during May and June it opens and closes on 10th oct. I covered the complete journey which is called first Jatha (god’s messengers) carry the divine weapon from Shri Hemkunt Sahib Gurudwara at Rishikesh and via Srinagar they bring it to Govind Ghant and from where trek begins and reaches Gobind Dham and from where again a trek of hard steep climb begins and reaches the divine Hemkunt…means Hem means Snow and Kung means Kund and also Pond. Where it is said in the Books Shikh Guru have been meditating as well Laxman grandfather and he himself also meditated here and so the temple to left side of screen you see is Laxman Temple. Height of 16000 sqft above sea level is amazing pilgrim spot to cover. Was bit hard for me too due to my health issue but you will see I made it and I am proud of myself. Here are the 6 commissions I did in May! I have started a monthly fundraiser on my instagram.
