8 year old #GabrialTaye was knocked unconscious by school bullies two days before he committed suicide at Carson Elementary School. _________________ The video, shot from a hallway camera at Carson Elementary School shows Gabriel Taye being pulled to the ground by another student in a bathroom. After Gabriel fell to the ground, "many students stepped over him, laughed, point, mock, nudge [and] kick" him. _______________________ An assistant principal at Carson Elementary School in Cincinnati found Gabriel unconscious inside the boys' bathroom on Jan. 24. He was sent to the nurse's office, then taken home by his mother. That night, he was complaining of stomach pains. He was diagnosed at a hospital with the stomach flu. Within 48 hours, he hanged himself in his bedroom by his own bowtie, prompting an investigation by Cincinnati police. _________________________ According to theĀ Cincinnati Enquirer, a homicide detective said the surveillance video captured "bullying and could even rise to the level of criminal assault". ___________________________ In the 2014-15Ā school year, 319 incidents were reported.Ā ā¢ In the 2015-16Ā school year, 265 were reported.Ā ā¢ In the first semester of this school year,Ā the number was 107. ____________________________ The 8-year-oldās death triggered a police investigation. #NoMoreBullying #StopBullying #HelpStopSuicide
