Finally finished Day 13 of Darksiderstober, the theme being Bones, so here is a throwback from last year to the Numbskull Bros. Bonesly be asking the good question, but who has the better answer? Will be catching up now since I've been preparing for a con this coming weekend, hope ya like and stay tuned!

The last Kefkan ungulugrade I’m sharing for now, the Water Helmskull.

Water Helmskulls are small, brown feathered fellas. Males, as depicted here, have tusks which they use to protect their territory from rivals. Don’t let the tusks fool you, these critters are herbivores.

They live in temperate climates, preferring to live in wooded areas by rivers or lakes. They are mostly solitary creatures, and use their (diminutive compared to their larger cousins) nasal chambers to communicate their territories to rivals or find potential mates.

Males have black heads, and a crest of curly, iridescent teal feathers which they use to impress potential mates. Males are usually around 1’10’’ at their shoulders, while females are typically closer to 1’6’’ at their shoulders.

The second last of the kefkan ungulgrades I’m sharing, the Lake Bellow. It’s a fantasy moose, my dudes.

The Lake Bellow has large nasal chambers that it uses to produce calls to find mates or offspring which have wandered astray. They are mostly solitary, living in woodlands. They especially like water, and eating aquatic plants. Thus, Lake Bellow. They are very loud and can be heard from quite a distance away!

Just like the Greater Helmskull, it grows feathers on its lower legs for winter, and molts them for warmer seasons.

Another Kefkan ungulugrade critter, the Greater Helmskull. This kirin-ass lookin’ motherfricker fills the same ecological niche as real-life deer.

Males have antlers which they use for defense and fighting rivals for mates. All Greater Helmskulls use their nasal sound chamber to communicate with herd-mates. They are feathered, but molt the feathers on their lower legs during warmer seasons and regrow them for winter.

This one is one of the best from this set, in my opinion. Whether it’s first or second best changes with my mood.
