He's just kinda skidaddling round the desert atm with his human buddy - but he's fungus cordyceps, which specifically controls the muscles of it's host I found out recently. For some reason, his pod was separated from the Tree (and thus the dream), and he winds up waking up in Elona nearish to a Joko facility. The ride over the sea damaged the pod and himself is such a way that his legs and lower torso were amputated in transit.

Essentially, with one of Joko's favourite decorations being centaurs, he's able to find a nearby ... horse half, and use that as a host. As he's a necromancer himself, ontop of the fungus thing, he's able to control the body like his own and keep it in fairly good condition

I'm still twisting between him being able to maintain that original free corpse mobility aid, or if he has to transfer to a new one after awhile, or is able to fungus the body into becoming plant enough to be perma attached? I'm not sure.

I do occasionally like to giggle to myself at the thought of him finding a deceased hydra body instead of a horse. Imagine that cresting the hill at Mach Fuck cuz the market's gonna close soon.

He has an unnamed human friend he has adventures with, and just helps out a local village that found him, and took him in. They largely have to play hide the centaur now and again but otherwise he's pretty good.

BBAU is based on Earthspark. Mandroid captured Bee and experimented with his CNA adding an organic DNA to it(you guessed it, bumblebee's DNA, yes). The fusion itself was,,,unpleasant,,,but in the end successful and half organic Bumblebee was created. He broke out of the Mandroid Lab saw himself in a puddle of some liquid got scared of himself and ran,,,ran far and long until he got tired.

The terrans and Autobots do eventually find him yes, but they don't expect him to look the way he looks.(he has his mask down when they find him)

and Wheeljack is studying Bee(they've got a strange dynamic here and I love it and I will absolutely draw it later,,,)

Bumblebee can make honey and honeycomb, it quickly becomes a problem but they make it work eventually.

Ink hums a happy song as he slowly sketches out the shape of a very familiar skull. He had beent rying to stay distracted after everything he learned.

He thinks he is doing an okay-ish job! Even if Error calls him an idiot for trying to escape his own new feelings.

Ink just... thinks! He should first get used to his kinda there feelings... and then on his god position! Before he... thinks about some specific feelings.

Ink groans as he grabs his phone and searches the past text messages.

Finding the right conversation quickly.

Hey Ink! Want to hang out with Dream and me? Let me know!

And then the line that Ink blocked his contact.

Ink groans as he just lays on the floor. He is a mess. Why is this so hard? It was never hard to hang out wiht Blue before. It was just nice and easy and it was fun! Now it just feels... different. it feels more important.

Not to forget his stupid feelings now actually work so he realises just how terrified he feels about being an idiot in front of Blue.

Fuck Blue has seen him do so much stupid shit. How does he deal with that?!

His phone buzzes and he picks it up with a smile before his smile falls. It is a message from Dream.

Of course it isn't a message from Blue. Blue can't send him messages because Ink blocked him!

Which... Blue knows... Ink is sure that Blue hates him or is sad or hurt because of Ink's stupid behaviour and-

HIs phone starts to ring.

Ink almost drops it before picking up "Hey Dream! I was jsut about to answer your text!"

Dream hfufs "Right." he does not sound convinced "Look. I need your help with a situation. Can you come meet us?"

Ink feels his being start to shake slighty. Us. Dream says us. Which means Blue is there!

He hadn't seen Blue since the Gyftmas party. Ink had gotten callen away for more god lessons and he hadn't even had the chance to see if Blue liked the bandana he got him.

And now Ink doens't feel sure enough to ask if Blue likes it. Waht if Blue likes it? What if he doesn't!? What if he likes the bandana but if he hears Ink got it for him he won't like it anymore!?

"Ink?" Dream sounds impatient.

Ink jumps up and rushes to grab his broom "Yeah! Sure! On my way! You send the location?" he has his broom and is already ready to cast the right magic to teleport to another location before remembering he still needs the location.

Dream is silent for a moment before answerign "You feeling okay? We can delay this a few days if you need time to rest-"

"No no no!! I am okay!" Ink rushes to stop Dream. No he needs this! He cna finally hang out wiht Blue again and because Dream is there it will be normal and not at all weird and Ink can maybe try to get an idea of how Blue feels about him and! He needs this! "You send me the location and stuff?"

Dream is quiet for a moment and Ink hears him talk with someone else before Dream answers "I send you it in a text. see you in a bit." and he hangs up.

Ink smiles as he jumps in place as he finds the location. Okay. Okay! He can do this! He can be totally normal! He will have anice hang out and then Blue will think he is cool and maybe Ink can brush off the blocking as an accident thing and everything will be fine!

He uses his broom and melts into a puddle of ink.

It feels like swimming to use his teleporting and he quickly gets to the right location. He jumps out and smiles.

Dream shoots him a grin before shooting the skeleton next to him a smug look. Blue rolls his eye lights at Dream before girnning at Ink himself "Hey Ink."

Ink is frozen. he is wearing the bandana. it looks so good on him but can he just say that? would it be weird for Ink to notice? Ink knows his memory isnt the best. would it seem obsessive if Ink noticed a difference?

Blue's grin falls as he looks worried and to the side. Oh shit he is quiet for too long isn't he?!

Ink rushes over "Hey Blue! Hey dream. It has been a while! I got busy and stuff. God stuff is weird! Hah! I mean Dream knows as well so i don't doubt you know it as well! I mena you two always hang out and stuff so of course you know. Not that that is wrong! I mean you two are best friends! It is normal!"

Oh please shut up shut up why is he still talking?!

Dream and Blue share a look. Blue frowns "Ink? Are you sure you are okay? You are acting weird..."

A snort "Seems normal to me."

Ink looks over and sees Error. Error just looks highly amused from where he is leaning agaisnt the tree. knowing look in his eye sockets.

Oh no. No no no no! Error knows about how Ink feels about Blue!! Well. Kinda feels. His whole soulless situation and feeling through paint together with ascending to godhood got weird and Ink doesn't even fully understand how it works but that is beside the point! Error was just there when Ink figured out he liked Blue a whole lot more than is normal and that is why Error knows! And Ink does not trust him with that knowledge to not make a fool out of Ink to Blue!

Well. Not that Error needs to do anything to make a fool out of Ink. Ink manages that just fine himself apparently.

Blue is frowning at Error "Error that isn't nice. He could be sick."

Error snorts nad mutters "love sick alright." and Ink prays no one heard him.

Blue doesn't react to what error said so maybe ink is lucky! And oh shit Blue is close and checking his temperature! What does he DO?!

Blue frowns "I think he is fine... You sure you feel up for this Ink?"

Ink nods "Yes! of course! Always ready to help you... two!" Ink looks between Blue and Dream before he laughs softly as he rubs his neck "What are we doing?"

Dream sighs "you seriously didn't read my texts?"

Ink slowly takes his phone out and notices that Dream send a long explanation about something to him. something about ink having to meet someone and having to help them with letting this mystery person meet the other gods.

Ink looks up and Dream sighs before nodding "okay fine. I found my brother."

Ink blinks. Something about nightmare? There hadn't been issues wiht nightmare right? Ink can't remember anything being off about him at least...

Dream looks very disapointed and hurt "Did you seriously forget my brother went missing?!"

Ink flinches. right. that. he rubs his arm "sorry..." he is a terrible friend. he had been so busy with god things... right... blue and drema ahd been working on searching for Nightmare and... and ink was too busy to help and after a while he jsut forgot aparently!

Dream sighs and Blue joins his side to support him. It stings a little.

Blue smiles "but everything is fine! We found nightmare and we are working on introducing him to many people to make sure Fate and Balance don't mess with his domain!"

Ink gives a slow nod. he knows he should know more about those two and why it is important but he can't remember at the moment. Ink hopes he will eventually remember "so... we want a truce?" maybe that is it? a truce between Ink and Nightmare?

Not the hnag out Ink wanted but he will take it at this point. He just wishes he never blocked Blue. How is he even suposed to fix that?! He doens't know!

Dream laughs and rubs his neck "I guess you can call ti a truce. Not that it matters with both Nighty and I having switched domains so we aren't even against each other in any way!" He smiles brightly.

Ink feels even worse. Fuck. He forgot. Dream switched domains! That was a whole thing. Also a thing he hadn't helped with. come on. He knows this. He knows which domain it is. something... soemthing about moving on? healing through moving on?

Dream's smile slwoly falls and Ink can hear Blue sigh. Ink holds up his hands "No! No wait! I know this!" he knwos this! come on. He knows this he knows this he knows this! "it... it... it is about... like.. moving on? healing? kinda like determination and keep going?" right? He looks at Dream desperately.

Dream blinks but laughs and nods "honestly? Very close! it is Progression but those things got to do with it."

Blue grins proudly at him "You are remembering things!"

Ink gives aslow nod "kinda..." ish. Not that much. Though he does keep remembering how pretty Blue looks with his new bandana. The neutral grey but silver and blue highlights are so pretty on him.

Error groans "Are we done yet? We got a schedule to keep here." he huffs and crosses his arms.

Dream focusses too "We are. Ink?"

Ink nods and grins "Lets make a truce!"

A voice "Finally! This was getting boring" and Killer jumps down from the tree branches.

Ink has his broom ready but Blue rushes to his side and pushes his arms down "No! No fighting! we cool!" Ink froze but not because Blue stopped him or what he said. but because Blue is holding his hand! wlel more like just pushing his hands down but it counts! Ink is totally counting it as them holding hands!

Killer grins at them "Anyway. Meet. Boss! Or well... tiny boss" and he grins. As he waves to the side and Cross jsut appears out of thin air with a child in his arms.

Ink frowns and stares before looking at Killer "I know my memory is bad.. but wasn't nightmare like... adult and gooped?" he looks at Blue to double check.

Blue smiles at him and nudges their shoulders togther "true! But Nightmare got deaged when he finished his job as god connected to balance. He went back to how he was before getting that job." and he nods over to Cross who is holding the tiny skeleton.

Ink blinks and stares at Nightmare.Nightmare just looks back at him.

Ink is hit with a dejavu and snorts "Oh yeah i can see it now. got the exact same 'you are an idiot' look as his older version." and he leans against broomie.

Blue laughs from beside him and Ink puffs his chest up a tiny bit. He got this. he got this!

Nightmare huffs and pouts as he leans clsoer to cross "Well he is an idiot."

Cross purrs as he nuzzles the skull "You are 100% right."

Ink looks ar Dream and Blue "So... what now?"

Dream smiles "We need to meet the other gods. but the more gods on our side the better." Dream sighs "Especially meeting the other gods..."

Ink frowns as he tilts his skull "Why?"

Reaper is floating nearby as he speaks and hey when did Reaper get here? "Because of Fate and Balance. We don't think they will like Nightmare not falling into either of their domains anymore."

Ink frowns and he finally remembers! "Right! They were real mad when you picked your domain right Dream?"

Dream grins "Yup! They tried to make me switch but they couldn't because everyone knew my job by then. We are trying to get Nightmare the same setup."

Ink rubs his broom as he speaks "what... euh... is the domain anyway?" they hadn't mentioned that right? he checks with blue but blue just smiles at him. So they probably didn't tell yet!

Blue looks at the gang and it is Killer who answers "Nightmare is a god of Restoration!" he nuzzles Nightmare and nightmare just looks grumpy but doens't turn away from the attention.

Ink frowns as he thinks "So... we are going to meet the other gods now?"

Blue nods as he smiles at him "That is the plan! Can you come with as extra support?"

Ink nods "sure!" He would follow Blue anywhere.

Blue smiles back.

Maybe this isn't a complete mess up just yet.

So like maybe a headcannon or a story?...

a/n : hello! i got a little too into the story so it's pretty long, but i hope you enjoy! i tried my best with the martial arts thing, but the language could be wrong so i do apologize for that! it might be a bit ooc, as i'm trying to write these characters still. i enjoyed writing this, so i hope you enjoy reading it!

Arcades are generally boring. You wouldn’t pick this place to hang out with the group, but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, so you didn’t mind that much. You were zoning out, staring at the group and making sure no one got hurt.

“Hey, are you alright?” Logan asked, stepping away to talk to you. Your head snapped to him, being brought out of your thoughts quite quickly.

“Yeah, I’m fine, just bored.

“HEY GUYS! LET’S DO THIS ONE!” Aiden screamed, pointing towards a boxing-style game.

“Nevermind.”

The entire group decided to try the machine, just for the fun of it. Ben’s score was impressive, Ashlyn’s was good and so was Tyler’s. The group cheered you on as you stood in front of the machine. You hit it with your fist as hard as you good, and ended up with a score that rivaled Ben’s.

“WOO!” Aiden cheered. He slung his arm around you and started bragging. You saw Logan smile in the corner of your eye, and you smiled back. You heard the door of the arcade click open. Barron and his goons stood at the entrance.

Logan soon noticed this as well, going from watching Aiden bury himself in tickets to sweating over the fact that Barron was here.

Let’s be clear. You hated Barron. If there wasn’t any repercussions he’d already be in a ditch somewhere because of you. You would fight him over and over again to make sure Logan would never have to deal with that bastard. And you would win every. single. fight.

You watched him exit out the door, a shy kid in a blue hat trailing behind. That kid almost reminded you of Logan. That made you more angry. Fists clenched, almost snarling at the door they just left from. Oh, Lord, you thought, Hold me back.

“…I want to at least warn him.” Logan said.

“Well, go do what you gotta do.” Tyler said, “We’ll be here to help you if you need it.”

“Are you sure you don’t want anyone to come with you?” You asked, unsure about this whole idea.

“Actually… Could you come with?”

“Of course!”

You opened the door and held it open for Logan, allowing him to go first. You didn’t want to speak for him—as he was getting better at standing up for himself every day. This was a step in the right direction, you just wanted to make sure Barron didn’t pull a stunt you could prevent.

“Haha, wow! That caught me off guard. I never would’ve expected to see you here, four eyes. And who’s this lovely person you got with you?” Barron said.

You clenched your fists—almost enough to make you cut through your skin—and stared straight into his soul. Logan looked nervous. About Barron? About you starting a fight where there didn’t need to be one? Logan wasn’t stupid. He saw your score at the boxing machine. He saw you training with Ashlyn’s parents. You mentioned to him once that you had martial arts experience. He had seen it first hand. If a fight started, Barron wouldn’t be the one winning. He might not even make it out alive.

“It’s been a while, pal, how’ve ya been?” Barron smiled, as if he didn’t bully the shit out of Logan every day for at least a year.

Logan ignored Barron, turning towards the kid in the blue hat. You continue to glare daggers into Barron from where you were standing. “My name’s Logan.”

“Oh… I’m Noah.”

“…Is he making you do his homework? Because you shouldn’t have to do that.”

“H-he’s not making me… He just asked for help.”

“And you felt guilty saying no, right?” The conversation Logan was having with Noah faded into the background as you watched Barron intently. You watched him get up from the trashcan and walk over to Logan.

“Who do you think you are, twerp? Stop interfering.” Barron started jabbing Logan’s head, and continued, “You’re just a useless loser whose parents didn’t even want you.”

You stepped forward, ready to axe-kick this guy to the floor and beat him to a pulp, but Logan didn’t need your help. He swatted Barron’s hand away, “I’m useless? When you’re the one that refuses to do your own work and forces others to do it for you?” Chills ran down your spine at Logan’s words. “When you so pathetically waste others’ time while they are actually working for a better life?”

He was practically shouting now, “When you have nothing to give, not even a simple thanks?! You only take and harass and look down on others! If anyone here is truly and utterly useless it’s—”

Barron grabbed Logan’s hair and pushed him away, bringing up his arm to throw a punch at Logan. Logan quickly twisted him and threw him face-first into the concrete. His hands were pinned to his back by Logan. Barron struggled to get out of Logan’s grip. The lights flickered. You panicked.

“I think it’d be wise for you to start caring.” Logan said.

This place felt like the phantom realm all of a sudden. You turned to the door that opened with more of Barron’s friends. They held him back but you were at your limit. Logan can’t get himself out of everything. Ben felt the same as you watched him come out from behind a wall and grab the red-head’s face. You performed a quick back kick on the blonde.

Full hell broke loose.

The group was fighting others, and you were taking on upwards of three people at a time. Your teacher always taught you that violence was never the answer, but you disagree. You were kicking and hitting with more precision than ever before—even better than when you were in class.

You heard a scream sounding like Ashlyn. She fell to the floor gripping her ears, headphones scattered across the pavement. You ran over to her, defending yourself from Barron’s goons as you went. You grabbed her headphones as she screamed, “CALM DOWN!”

Barron and his friends left quickly after. You gave Ashlyn her headphones back and beelined to Logan. “Are you okay? You’re not too badly hurt right? I wanted to help you more but you did amazing on your own so—”

“I’m alright, don’t worry. But, you’re bleeding.”

The navi were not giving up their homes easily as they thought fighting along side with the humans who stayed loyal to them. There was a backup plan the RDA had to use to help them get rid of Jake sully once and for all, by using their top and loyal solider who were once dead but brought back as avatar or navi. The one thing the RDA seem to forget was the bonds and relationship that the group of soldiers that were picked, and it will all lead back to you.

I nosedived into the TF fandom recently again and oh boy! Did I kick up some good memories!

I know your blog is mainly about seekers and the elite trine in the G1 continuity; but there’s some cool seeker lore in the TFA continuity as well that you may be interested in. And by “cool”, I mean kinda the transformers version of human experimentation angst.

In a few episodes (and in comics prior), it featured the Jet Twins who were split-sparks. These were originally two “low class” grounders who nearly died while doing their job. The Autobot Elite Guard thought that was a fantastic opportunity to take some of Starscream’s seeker CNA to attempt to code it into their nearly dead grounder bframes, hoping they’d gain flight abilities to help them win the war since no autobot had flight abilities at that time.

Pretty sure it was non-consensual too because the Elite Guard saw them as disposable if it didn’t work yikes.

It did work.

I was wondering how you think Starscream or the elite trine would react to their adult seeker forms and how they came to be.

I love them so much; am the owner of the ask-the-jettwins blog from years ago (I love their Russian accent!)

I’m relatively new to the TF fandom so I only really know about G1, RID2015 and Prime(because I watched Prime and RID2015 as a kid), I haven’t really looked into TFA yet but boy that looks amazing :D

For starters, seekers are very proud members of the cybertronian race, their flight frames are something to be adored and admired and they are well aware of that. But while seekers may be vain, they also have a very strong sense of family and recognition, their frames are what help them communicate, seek prey/energon, and they’re each very unique.

When you have a bot that was originally a grounder, you have a lot of things that don’t line up, Ie; wing hinges don’t move at full capacity, they don’t have the necessary fire power for proper flight, their internals can’t process the high grade needed to keep their systems CLEAN in order to run properly, ect. Because of this seekers don’t see those bots as seekers, they refer to them as aerial bots. (Or aerial brats in some seekers’ case)

Now that’s not to say seekers are purely against anyone else with wings. They’re closely related to praxins(not to be confused with Praxians), those who hold door wings, and get along well with them. Seekers are just insulted by the audacity that some try to mimic their frames.

That being said, originally I think Starscream and the other seekers would be extremely put off by the twins, the attempt itself would also probably insult Starscream and make him want to throw a tantrum but that’s a completely different story. Buuut considering they have seeker CNA it’s safe to say that Starscream(to him unfortunately) would feel some sort of connection as seekers recognize their creators/sires/sparklings through vocal and em field components.

Of course the jettwins would likely have under developed vocal modules if their wings hadn’t come in, it’s likely their nanites were slowly developing the frame to follow the proper schematics and it took so long because they didn’t consume metals like seekers should. (This also begs the question on wether or not they would have seeker coding, ie sky thirst and the hunting protocols but I’m gonna say they were probably either locked or not there because they were originally grounder frames)

Though as I said before, while a connection would be established to both Starscream and his Trinemates, they wouldn’t understand WHY. These little ground framed brats look nothing like seekers and Starscream wouldn’t stoop so low(he would). He doesn’t care for it! (He does) But Starscream would make an effort to find out why, and once he does oh lordy is he angry. Not at the twins no, but the Autobots.

Of course their frames would be a … gentle topic. Not entirely sure what to make of them or why they feel so uneased by it, though as the twins start to grow in and develop their wings it should be an immediate cause for excitement, after all there hasn’t been new seekers in millions of years. I believe there would be fascination on both ends, not to mention some fussing from Starscream the moment he finds out there’s wings coming in. Skywap would likely be less ready to jump in considering the kids are with the autobots but Thundercracker might be a little more flexible(key word might).

When those adult frames come in that unease turns to camaraderie, they’re no longer seen as something that doesn’t belong, especially if everything develops properly. To be honest, Starscream would probably take it upon himself to teach them HOW to be a seeker.

So tldr; Starscream would probably hate the twins but still feel something for them but as they get older he feels a better connection. His trine and the flock would act with the same unease at first before settling into companionship if the frames developed properly and wholly. If not then they would be treated like aerial bots.

But hey, that’s just fun little take with feral seekers in mind :)

This is really short, so I'm just going to post it here for now. Maybe I'll put it on ao3 later. Maybe not. Who knows?!

Summary: in the wake of Your Spare Blade, Twilight has words with his Handler before being assigned a new mission.

Reporting on his most recent mission hadn't been too much of a hassle, minus the argument discussion about rushed assignments when little information was available. Fortunately, he and Yor had gotten out of the last one relatively unscathed, but there was no telling if that would be the case next time.

And while Handler had shared Twilight's frustration, she couldn't guarantee that rushed, inadequate assignments wouldn't happen in the future. Sudden changes happen and both he and his wife were well equipped to handle them when necessary.

It wasn't what he wanted to hear, but at least she had listened rather than brushing him off. (Had she ever brushed off his concerns? He couldn't recall a time when she hadn't taken what he said into consideration…)

The spy took a file, a new assignment, from his Handler and flipped it open just as a thought struck him. Born Industries stared back up at him from the first page and his eyes scanned over the details, committing it to memory while a thought swirled in the back of his mind.

Back in the early days of Strix, Bond had mysteriously shown up at Born Industries while he had been working to retrieve a possible truth serum. The whole mission could have been a disaster, with the lack of prior reconnaissance and short timetable, but the dog had made the whole ordeal so much easier.

Maybe…

“Could I bring Bond with me?” He inquired almost without thinking.

“No.” Sylvia answered, almost reflexively. There was a beat before, “May I ask why you are requesting he accompany you?”

Twilight didn't look up, keeping his eyes resolutely on the file, turning a page to pry further into the details. There was more to work with on this assignment, but just barely. “He was instrumental in helping me retrieve Gerrulimus, helping me navigate the building unseen.”

Sylvia's foot tapped the air for a moment, as if pondering it. “This infiltration should involve you disguising yourself as one of the specialists there, so having Bond there with you will most certainly draw more than necessary attention to you. It would be a risk.”

He can't help the quirk of his lip as he pointily looks at the dog at her feet. “Is that why Aaron is with you today?”

The shepherd perked at hearing his name, sitting up and looking at his mistress. The older spy lifted an eyebrow but placed a rewarding pat on her dog's head. “Matthew is watching him later. It's more convenient for him to come along rather than run back home and then to City Hall.”

The smile turns rapidly into a smirk. “Oh? So he's Matthew now?”

The stapler thrown in his direction was worth it. Fortunately, his reflexes had never been better, effectively dodging the attack. A short, amused laugh escaped his mouth as he dodged another object, skipping back as pens followed in his wake.

“Family life has made you incorrigible,” Sylvia hissed. “Get out of here! And make sure you complete this mission alone. Bond, Yor and especially Anya better not appear in your notes!”

Now there's an idea. The smile didn't quite leave his face as Twilight nodded, put his hat atop his head and began his retreat. Once arriving at the elevator he called back. “Tell Matthew hello for me and Yor looks forward to seeing him at the next family picnic!”

One last object flew past his ear as the door closed.

FELLOW YURI LOVER HELLO <3 I love your art and I wanted to pick your brain for any Lunatic theories or headcanons ya got, if you're up for it! I've always had this thought and wanted to ask other Tiger & Bunny fans about it, but how do you think the Petrov family was doing after Legend's death? How do you think Yuri got through law school to become a judge while taking care of his mom??

Ohhhhhh Anon we are sharing a braincell right now. Buckle up.

(CW for the theories ahead, dealing with themes of trauma, domestic violence, child abuse, and alcoholism)

First off, I absolutely think Yuri and Olga were not wanting for money at all after Legend's death, even before Yuri became a judge. There were probably no financial worries whatsoever for Yuri getting through law school, either. Mr. Legend was the hero in Sternbild for the longest time, so there was likely a sizeable life insurance policy and inheritance for them.

Also for sure Maverick threw hush money their way because while the alcoholism was bad enough then that meant Hero TV ABSOLUTELY was not gonna let the news out that Legend's death was because he was about to kill his wife and child. Case in point for this one is that when Ben got the info for Kotetsu about NEXT powers fading, Ben only had info about the alcoholism; not that Legend was an abuser nor that Yuri was his son.

I could make an entirely separate post and go on for days about the fuckery I think was going on between Yuri and Maverick, but I wanna stay on-topic for your question. another day... maybe... if its asked...

So... onto the sadder part!

What Happened to the Petrovs?

So... disclaimer: I am NOT a mental health professional... however I am a childhood abuse survivor, so I'm really just pointing out patterns I recognize from my own experiences.

In Ep. 16 of Season 1 when we got Yuri's backstory reveal, I couldn't help but make mental note of his mom and how they interacted. When we first see her, she's not only elderly and disabled to where she needs mobile assistance, but she's also clearly having some sort of memory lapse into a time where the abuse wasn't happening, given her cheery way of talking when she does go into these episodes.

However... When Yuri reminds her that his father is dead, it shocks Olga and kind of snaps her out of it... and her instant response is to start verbally abusing Yuri and throwing things at him.

Yuri not flinching we could first think 'yeah his reflexes as Lunatic are probably making him aware he doesn't need to dodge' but like... what if it's that and that he's used to it...?

I think that the mental condition we see Olga with in the beginning hasn't been going on for too long. If we go off the first movie's timeline of things, Yuri implies that he came to Sternbild and was just appointed as a judge for the city.

Also there's this air in the way Yuri was walking around the house and talking to his mom in S1. Ep16 that makes it feel like this is one of the first times in a while he's been around her. he's also still learning the ropes of being a caretaker for an elderly person, bc as someone who used to work with CNAs and nurses in a retirement home the last thing you want to do when someone's having a memory lapse is forcefully pull them out of it, unless of course the writers for the show themselves just didn't know

All of this to me this feels like Yuri has only just recently come back to Sternbild and moved in with his mom in order to take care of her.

With Olga she obviously was very in love with her husband and adored her son before the downward spiral began. That much is apparent later on in Season 2 where we see Olga (albeit almost permanently in this memory-lapse state) being quite tender and affectionate towards Yuri and acting towards him like she did when he was a child (cue the heartbreaking flashback to how she really really wanted to make the cookies Yuri loved on the night she died).

However, in the moments where she's lucid again and acting negatively towards Yuri, I think this is the truth of their dynamic after Legend died.

Trauma from abuse can do... weird things to people.

Now any of us can sit back and say 'if my child went through the horrible agony of killing their own father to save the both of us I would simply cherish and care for them, RIP but I'm built dif', or 'if my husband started abusing me and my son I would simply divorce him' but... people and legality can be more complicated and messier than that.

I'm not going to get into the semantics on if Yuri's mom was a completely bad person or anything like that (bc the whole theme of the Petrovs is 'there are no only good or only bad people, there's just people), but I'll flat out say that I think a bit after Legend's death Olga was at the very least verbally abusing Yuri.

The complete disregulation of her brain from the abuse and violent death of her husband PLUS all the ways Hero TV was probably covering things up must have messed her up some type of way that she blamed Yuri for their life being turned upside down and was resentful towards him.

On the flipside, on Yuri's part, he absolutely has a deeply complicated relationship with his mother on TOP of how fucked up he is from his father. He doesn't regret stepping in as a child and saving her, but for sure there's a painful wound still stinging in his chest about how their relationship was damaged and never really recovered. With how bitter and toxic things with his mom probably got, Yuri might have left home at some point or was even kicked out.

As for Yuri's personal mental state, I mean the show highlights pretty clearly that he is NOT okay. Yuri has very intense PTSD to the point of constantly reliving when his powers activated and he killed his father to having hallucinations of his father mocking him.

His perception on morality has been pretty skewed to the point of being super vengeful to whoever he perceives as 'wicked', which comes through not just as Lunatic but in his dayjob as a judge where he's known for giving out heavy-handed sentences.

(i mean usually this vengefulness as Lunatic is directed to serial killers or violent criminals, so.... it could be worse, I guess...?).

Now... Back to Yuri and his mom... So for those of us who did survive a toxic family/parent, I'm sure we can look at anyone who asks and say 'lmao fuck my shitty family, I don't care what happens to them' but... let's get real, that shit hurts. Especially like in Yuri's case where the family member wasn't always abusive or at least wasn't in the beginning.

So when the times comes for whatever phone call that Yuri got to come take care of Olga in her old age, I think he was still bitter about how she treated him and was mentally prepared for everything to be nonstop difficult and depressing. And I mean from there we see in the series how things go; exactly that.. But as Olga's mental state deteriorates, in some fucked up bittersweet way her relationship with Yuri greatly improves. Like... to the point where in the very end Yuri was happy to talk to her on the phone and spend time with her. Which again, for those of us that have lived this IRL, is HUGE.

I'm not going to get into Season 2 endgame spoilers, but the ultimate fate of the Petrov family depresses me to no end. I DO like though in S2 Ep20 how Yuri was able to get a LITTLE bit of closure for himself.

I just still maintain a lot of things for him in the end of the series should have been handled differently.

Becuz alola's inspiration is Hawaii irl and although I wouldn't go as a tourist irl it's nice to dream that I could go somewhere so uniquely biodiverse and help out in conservation which is also literally my ambition so when I selfship in that role it makes me happy...

Wren meets kiawe when they visit Wela volcano park one day to find a nice spot to view the sunset. Honestly the meeting lore is not fixed lol. Kiawe does his trial captain duties at the top of the volcano and he was done with his duties for the day and going to head down the volcano for his canon night job at the supermarket when he sees wren and is wondering who is up here when the sky is getting so dark plus some graveler (a pokemon) specifically happened to block some of the paths that day lol idk. So becuz he felt he has a duty to look after the people and pokemon he wanted to accompany wren down cuz the paths are rocky. And then wren is like but I want to see the sunset he's like ok fine I know the best places to see it follow me. Okay so that was the first meeting

Subsequently wren just meets Kiawe at the volcano increasingly often, from like twice a week to 5 times a week to every day. Also wren's conservation thing is mainly on akala island (out of the 4 total islands in alola) which is also where Kiawe is from, and one of their research tasks was on the volcano so they met and talked and usually kiawe isn't super fond of foreigners he thought wren was some tourist but finding out he's doing some conservation thing he found it nice.

Yeah so they just got to know each other more and wren develops a crush first. For what draws me into him...

He studies traditional dances from his culture and hopes to study abroad and fulfil this passion of his, which is why he has that night shift at the supermarket but he also got laid off from it in canon 😭 And when you find out about it he says "it seems like nothing ever goes right..." and asks to battle you and says this after like ARRRRGHHHH

Like I just want to be able to encourage him that he cna achieve his dreams becuz he's one of the most hardworking and passionate people ever like he deserves everything

Also this, it's directly implying Kiawe is a romanticist becuz you get this Reverent battle style after battling him

And like it's so heartwarming to know this guy who has like a stoic exterior has sentiments like this, I'm honestly similar in this way that we're both sorta idealists. So I would like to sit him with and talk about our ambitions together especially becuz even though my primary interest is the natural world, culture is also my second biggest interest and for him it's the other way round.

Also in another game he said that other people don't really like his intensity, but his two friends Mallow and Lana don't mind, and thanks the player for also not minding. And his dad also said he's always been quite lonely and it's nice to see the MC be friends with him like 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 kiawe's such a genuine person but not the best at social interactions but when you get to know him I think he can be so generous and caring and humble and a great person to share your dreams with and achieve them together.

Also since he's a fire type pokemon trainer I associate him with red, fire, heat and the sun cuz he's so central to my world and a huge motivation and a person I can admire so much, so when I listen to music and read poems and stuff it's fun to find themes like this and think of my love for him Yes 😁

DoubleNoot AU Drabble - Welcome Home

We are back with the adventures of parenthood for Corrupt and the adventures of what the hell is going on for Nightmare! And for the family comedy for the gang.

Last Time on DoubleNoot Adventures! Corrupt took his time to make sure Nightmare was safe before explaining to his mates just who Nightmare was. After a small discussion they all agreed that Nightmare would stay with the Crescents, Corrupt's gang, in the castle.

Corrupt takes the time to make sure that Nightmare is still comfortable in his arms before walking down the stairs.

It still shocks him. To see Nightmare whole and alive in his arms. Safe and protected.

His magic literally glowing as he holds the child close. Nightmare himself seems fully distracted by the glowing and the small particals of magic floating up from their magic connecting.

Corrupt takes his time to make his way towards the kitchen. Still shocked at the sight of Nightmare.

Now that he is clean it is so obvious that all his past wounds healed. There isn't a scratch. And Corrupt thinks Nightmare looks a lot better dressed in something other than that prince outfit.

Of course they will need to get him different clothes still but hopefully Cross and Killer found some things for him to wear. Knowing them they will have gotten too much which fits Corrupt perfectly.

Means Nightmare will get to pick which things he likes.

Corrupt glances to the side and is happy to see some locks on certain doors. Foremost the training room is locked up tight. Seems like Dust has been busy.

Corrupt gets to the kitchen and opens the door with one of his tendrils.

Some clanks of pots and pans being moved and Nightmare looks up at the sound as well. Corrupt smiles as he walks into the kitchen and towards his largest mate "Hello Horror."

Hroror looks over and stares fro a moment before smiling "Hello Moonlight." he turns moves a pan around "Food isn't ready quite yet. Bunny is setting the table." Horror moves into their space and Corrupt feels Nightmare tense a little and shrink closer to him. Horror however just kisses the top of Corrupt's skull with a content hum "Buttercup and Cookie are still out."

Corrupt nods "thank you Horror. I will go to Dust in that case." Horror gives another content hum as he kisses the top of his skull again before turning back to the food.

Corrupt walks out of the kitchen to their dining room. Spotting Dust having pulled out the nice dishes as he sets the table. And extra chair already out and by the looks of it dust reorganised them.

Instead of two by two and one chair at the head of the table for Corrupt there are now three chairs on each side.

Dust looks up and nods before going back to laying down the last few forks.

Corrupt walks over to one side of the table and sets Nightmare in a chair. Nightmare starts to tilt and Corrupt catches him quickly. Nightmare looks away embarrassed.

Corrupt rubs his side and mutters "It is alright. You are only just healed and out on your own again." Corrupt notices him still rubbing and petting the young skeleton and pulls his arm back once Nightmare is stable. He is already much too attached to Nightmare.

Dust walks by as he goes to grab somethign from the cabinet but Corrupt cna hear him mutter something "motherhen."

Corrupt shoots his shorter mate a look but the hood remains a dark void. Though Corrupt can sense his amusement.

Corrupt shoots him a look "I know you are being smug."

Dust shrugs as he walks by and puts down glasses. Water glasses and wine glasses. Dust stops by them and leans to the side "what do you want to drink with dinner?"

Nightmare blinks and turns sligthly to stare at Dust "euh... I don't eat?"

Dust snorts "Sorry kid. That won't fly wiht Horror. What do you normally drink?"

Nightmare rubs his hands and the soft sweater he is dressed in. Nightmare looks at Corrupt for help.

Corrupt hums and shrugs "Horror never let me skip a meal and I am even less monster-like than you are." Corrupt smiles "You can always try a little. See if you like the experience. I myself find eating quite appealing and nice."

Nightmare frowns but nods as he keeps playing with the sweater.

Corrupt frowns as he focusses his power. Trying to find what could be bothering him. Insecurity is the one that comes through most clearly. Fear is the next, or better said Anxiety? The need to... do well?

Oh... He wants to fit in maybe?

If Corrupt considers all that he remembers of Nightmare's life. He must be terrified to be seen as wrong again. He had relaxed when he saw that their magics were compatible. He relaxed when it was just them because they are the same. They may look completely different but Corrupt was the same on a fundamental level. Nightmare felt safe and could relax because he knew that Corrupt wouldn't hurt him for what he was.

Corrupt stops himself from rubbing the other's skull "Hey... there is no need to feel unsure... it is always a learning process. Especially when learning about yourself..." He makes one of his tentacles get close to Nightmare and Nightmare immediantly grabs it. Some of the tension in him disappears when he sees the tentacle light up slightly. He starts to knead it, almost like a cat would.

Corrupt makes sure to keep himself calm. He is okay. They all are okay. and Nightmare is with them. Alive and safe.

Corrupt feels calm and relaxed.

And that seems to help Nightmare as Nightmare relaxes slowly.

Seems like feeling another empath nearby and calm helps him as well.

Corrupt speaks softly "It will take time. And that is okay." Everything will take time. Nightmare learning about himself. Learning it is safe. Learning he is free to be who he is. Everything. Corrupt hopes tha tNightmare understands Corrupt means that.

Dust snorts.

Nightmare looks up but slight confusion in him. Corrupt looks over as well. Dust just sits at the table. Feet on the table and lounging as he eats some berries. Strawberries it seems.

Corrupt raises a brow at him "Feet off the table. Also you better still finish your dinner later." Horror gets nervous when they don't eat enough.

Dust snorts and shrugs again as he tosses a strawberry and catches it with his mouth "It is just a tiny snack." he grins at Nightmare "Corrupt may talk up big but it took him ages to actually take part with the meals." and he eats another strawberry.

Nightmare blinks confused as Corrupt shoots his mate a look "Dust."

Dust grins wider as he eats another strawberry "He tried soooo hard to be a mystery. 'do not follow me.' or 'I will be in my study.' or my favourite 'you go help your... mortal needs. I will be working.' Honestly what did he expect us to do? Not bother him until we learned more about him?" he opens a socket and grins "Maybe he shouldn't have looked for us in that case, we are all very observant."

Corrupt wants to be annoyed but he can't. Not when Nightmare just looks at Dust with large sockets. listening to every word. Listening to how Corrupt acted as the very thing all those villagers told Nightmare he was. Yet these monsters decided they wanted to learn more. That they would not just believe the first thing they saw or heard.

Proof. It is actual proof.

Well... Dust is right. Corrupt's mates are all very observant.

Nightmare wiggles a tiny bit in his seat as he speaks "euh... How did you... figure it out?"

Dust hums "It were many things honestly. When we first moved in it was all wild and strange to begin with so we didn't notice as much. But after a while and you settle you start to notice things." he waves his hand around casually as he speaks "First thing we noticed? That when we spoke about out needs Corrupt would act dismissive. but he never forgot about them. Horror mentioned we need specific diets to get nutrients? Corrupt would mention how mortals are complex in their needs but the stuff we needed is always there or we go on missions to get it."

Corrupt sees Ngihtmare look over and he shrugs. it is the truth.

Dust continues "Killer mentions how he really likes cats and would love to help some strays. well suddenly we went by places which had cat stuff and Killer could bring injured ones back to treat before releasing them in safe places."

Nightmare looks confused as he mutters "Cats?" he shoots Corrupt an unsure look.

right... there were no cats in their old universe "Cats are small animals. I am sure if you stay still long enough Killer will show off his newest guest."

Nightmare frowns and nods as he looks down unsure. His hands find the tendril again.

Dust nods "True. Killer is always rather proud of the cats. You will end up meeting them one way or another." he turns his focus away and Corrupt feels Nightmare relax a bit.

Dust yawns "What was I saying?" He stretches as he leans back. Balancing on the two backlegs of the chair "That was just the start. We had arleady been curious and his behaviour didn't match his words. So we started to pay more attention." he grins "You want to know what we noticed?"

Nightmare keeps staring at Dust "What?" curiousity. the need to know. It feels so much better to feel those instead of the other emotions Nightmare had been feeling.

Dust leans to the side as he leans on his fist "We noticed he would watch us relax. When we weren't working but just hanging out and being dumb. He would watch us. At first we thought he may be wanting to learn about our needs more. See what we did and how we functioned and stuff."

Dust shrugs "It was Killer who spotted him once. In the middle of night while we slept Corrupt went over to our gaming console and tried a few games himself."

Nightmare blinks confused and waits.

Dust grins "If you never get an option to try things. How can you know what you like?"

Nightmare blinks and stares at Corrupt and Corrutp nods "It felt... strange. To want to try these things. That in the memories i got I never knew about. It felt dumb to not know what they were and how i thought about them." it had been his first thought. Experience them so he could understand his minions better.

Turns out he found them rather nice.

Corrupt tells NIghtmare as much before he continues "After that I tried some meals with them and found that i quite enjoyed some flavours."

Nightmare frowns as he rubs his hands "But... we don't need them? Why... why would we-or you like them?"

Corrupt shrugs "I just do. Like you liked your books. You didn't need to read or stay busy. But it was nice."

Ngihtmare frowns as Dust shrugs as he studies a strawberry for a moment "You and Corrupt have that in common. Needing to learn yourself and what you like." Dust grins "Corrupt managed. I am sure you will be fine too." and he eats his strawberry.

Nightmare looks down but looks thoughtful instead of unsure. Corrupt sends his mate a smile and hopes it is obvious how thankful he is. Dust notices and just gives him a half shrug as he gets up to put the strawberries away. Now that Corrupt thinks about it. Dust doesn't even like strawberries all that much.

...

Corrupt is going to have to give Dust a very special thank you later.

The door opened and Killer shouts loudly "We are back!"

Nightmare flinches at the sound and Corrupt makes sure to keep his voice level "in the dining room."

Runnign steps and Killer grins widely as he slides in few "Hey Moonlight! Hey Moondrop!"

Nightmare blinks confused at the nickname as Corrupt sends Killer a look "Moondrop?"

Killer grins and nods "Yeah! Because you are moonlight already or jsut moon. and well." he grins wider "You got him so. Moondrop" and he smiles widely.

Corrupt sighs as he rubs his face "And I keep telling you i wasn't pregnant."

Cross walks in as he carries some bags "Hey Corrupt-" he spots Nightmare and jumps slightly "oh. Hey nightmare. Euh... Killer nad I got some stuff." He puts the bags down and smiles nervously "We weren't quite sure on what you liked or what your size was so we grabbed a bunch of different things. Once you find soemthing you like we can obviously get more which we will but there is also no hurry? So don't feel rushed."

Nightmare looks at the bags in shock and Corrupt gives his mate a nuzzle "How about we look at them after dinner? That way we have time to unpack it all and look through it before it is bedtime?" Cross relaxes under his careful nuzzles and easily agrees.

Cross and Killer take care to move the bags towards the living room and clean up for dinner as Dust and Horror walk out fo the kitchen. Dust assisting Horror with moving the food.

Corrupt sees them and frowns "I apologise. I should have helped." He had been so focused on Ngihtamre and-

Horror hums "No problem Moonlight." he puts the pans with warm food on the table.

Killer and Cross join them as Dust prepares the drinks. He leaves some water for Nightmare out. Soemthing easy for him to start eating and drinking after the long sleep he did.

Eventually they are all seated and Horror puts food on their plates. It is a nice stew by the looks of it. With a lot of vegetables and very soft slow cooked meat.

Horror puts a little of the stew in a bowl for Nightmare last and sits back down with his own bowl.

They all quickly start eating as Corrupt watches as Nightmare slowly moves his arm and hand. The arm starts shaking rather quickly and Nightmare frowns at it.

Corrupt hums and leans closer "Do you want me to help you?" his tendrils are alreayd nearby to keep Nightmare stable.

Nightmare glares at his own limb "Why can't i just move it right?" his hands shake badly as he tries to raise his hands.

Corrupt hums as he helps Nightmare try a bit of the stew "Well, I am not surprised. Sleeping and healing for 500 years would do that to anyone." Should he cut some of the pieces? Or are they small enough for Nightmare to chew comfortably?

Silence before a very quiet voice "What?"

Corrutp blinks and looks over just to see Nightmare stare at him desperately "What... Waht do you mean? five... five..." his breahting picks up.

Shit.

Fuck of course he doens't know!

Corrupt lays the cultery down as he keeps his voice calm and quiet "I know it is a lot. I am sorry. I don't know why i thought you knew... I have existed for over 500 years now. I do not know the exact number. You have been asleep for all that time until today."

He woke up today. He woke up from a 500 year long coma and Corrupt hadn't even thought about easing Nightmare into that inforation.

Nightmare shakes as he holds tightly unto the tentacle "But... but that... that can't be... Dream.. I saw Dream! Dream isn't that old!" he looks at him desperate "I can't... I can't have been... gone for so long... I thought... Dream was like adult and stuff... so I thought maybe ten? At most?!" He looks at him begging.

Corrupt feels terrible for disappointing him "I am sorry."

Nightmare lets out a whine as he shakes his skull "There is no way... it can't be... how... how is Dream?"

Corrupt speaks softly "I supose you wouldn't remember it... after you ate the first apple I came to be. I ate most of the other apples as well. But there was one golden apple that rolled away. Only to be picked up by Dream. Dream absorbed the apple himself before being turned to stone by the large aura of negativity I had been spreading." He waits amoment to let it sink in before he continues "I left soon after but a while ago Dream broke out of the stone himself. We have been. fighting ever since. That is now been a long time in our lifes. I didn't pick up my mates until a few years ago but Dream and I had been fighting for a long time already."

Nightmare stares at the bowl. Just quiet for a moment before he speaks "I... i don't understand..."

Corrupt sighs sadly "Me neither..."

Nightamre continues to stare for a while before slowly letting Corrupt help him eat a bit again.

The others make sure to have other conversations but Corrupt can't pay much attention to those. His full attention is on Nightmare as he just stares at his hands. Processing the information given.

In the end they decide to skip looking at the outfits and stuff gotten. Killer claims enough had happened for that day and that it would be better to get some rest and let it all sink in.

Corrupt made sure to thank his four mates and apologise for being so busy and distracted. All four reassured him that they understood and that Corrupt didn't need to worry.

Corrupt took Nightmare upstairs and helps him with brushing his teeth and helps him get ready for bed.

Corrupt takes Nightmare back to his room as he makes sure Nightmare is comfortable as he is tugged in "For now you will sleep in my room with me. Until we figure out which room to make yours and prepare that accordingly."

Nightmare just continues to watch him and Corrupt lays in bed himself.

Nightmare wiggles abit before sighing as he glares into the air "At least the long nap explains why i can't move anything..."

Corrupt chuckels and nods "It does explain it." a moment of silecne "I apologise. That you were stuck in me for so long..." maybe he could have speed up the helaing process? If he had known?

Nightmare looks at him "You saved me. I jsut... I don't get it... any of it."

Corrupt nods "I know. I thought I understood what had happened but I was wrong." Nightmare is alive after all.

Nightmare feels the blanket "Why did Dream attack me?"

Corrupt blinks as he looks at Nightmare.

Nightmare continues before Corrupt can answer "Why... When we split... why did he still attack me." he looks so sad "Did... does he believe... what the villagers said?"

Corrupt cant stop hismelf anymore. He hugs the smaller being close and rubs the smaller skull "I am sure that if he had known it was you he wouldn't have attacked you. He must have thought i was duplicating or something similar."

Nightmare frowns at him "But why? You... you protected me. Well tried to. The villagers were the once who hurt me. You got my magic. You came from the tree. Why does Dream hate you?"

Corrupt sighs and shakes his own head "Because Dream beleives I killed you. Dream believes that I cut down Nim... He believes I am at fault for everything." Corrupt understands why. It is always easier to blame someone else than to have to look back and admit you hurt someone you cared about.

Nightmare makes an unhappy sound as he wiggles to get closer. Corrupt pulls him closer and sighs happily. It feels good to have the younger skeleton close.

...

He is not going to mention this to his mates or the pregnancy jokes will return with a vengance.

Nightmare mutters softly "I am glad I am here."

Corrupt freezes and looks down "But... what about Dream?"

Nightmare shrinks closer "I miss Dream... a lot... But... Drema always liked them more than me anyway... and I didn't like them and they hated me... I just... I don't want to hurt anymore... you made the hurt disappear and you are like me with my magic..."

Nightmare glances at him and mutters "You understand... You accept me... I just... am I bad for not wanting to lose that?" and he stares at him.

Corrupt holds the other close and rolls up around him. Making a small coccoon to hold the tiny treasure of a monster nearby "You don't. You are a good monster Nightmare. You always were. Those who couldn't see were wrong. And I swear to you. On my very being. I will protect you. No one will harm you here. I won't allow it."

Nightmare relaxes and sighs happilly "Thank you."

Corrupt smiles as he nuzzles the tiny skull "It is my pleasure."

Soon after.

Nightmare falls sleep.
