*I love this story so much! An incredible space-alien-fighters-I-don’t-even-know AU that’s so well written. Will get you HOOKED and screaming in your pillow bc AGH, and one of my favorite Beeduo reads of all time ofc LOL. There’s a second part of the story in Ranboo’s POV linked here!

Ran and Jackie are from Tales of the SMP and are based on c!Beeduo, so I think of it as a c!Beeduo AU bc I don’t see anything wrong with the story. But I’m not gonna insist it’s c!Beeduo if the author isn’t comfortable with that! I definitely think it’s an INCREDIBLE read and can be viewed aside from this list. Anyways. Ranboo brushes a thumb over his memory book, the knowledge of Tubbo's entry still fresh in his mind from his quick recap on the way over. Tubbo: Ex-president. Tommy's friend. Lives in Snowchester. Friend?  "You don't have to, I guess," Tubbo shrugs, rubbing his hands together for warmth. "Just a suggestion." "You're sure you want me to live here?"  Tubbo frowns. "Why wouldn't I?" "Well, I mean, we're... We're not exactly friends." Tubbo's hand - the bad one, the one that's mostly scar tissue - twitches, and Ranboo can sense that he's said something wrong. "Are we not?"

Ranboo and Tubbo go from barely friends to doting husbands in a matter of weeks, adopting a child and building a mansion somewhere along the way. Here are some of the moments in between.

Ghostboo slides his way over icy paths, spindly legs shaking on the stairs up the cliffside, “Careful,” Tubbo ascends behind him, passes the struggling ghost and is followed the rest of the way back. The mansion looms in the afternoon light, shadow stretching out long and dark as they enter, and Tubbo watches Ghostboo twirl in a wide circle, face tilted toward the ceiling. “It’s pretty in here,” he says. Tubbo sets his chest down, “Yeah,” takes in the curved staircase, chandelier, the high ceilings, and nods, “It was.”

It’s a joke at first-- a cute little mob that had gotten attached to Ranboo, who had toddled on baby legs, following them to the portal and clutching to a chicken’s feathery down the whole way. They’d lured him gently, promises of gold and meat, and he’d followed right into the overworld and through the snow and chill to Snowchester. By then, they’d gained his trust enough for the kid to let them pick him up, a tiny little thing that was mostly bone and leathery, half-zombified skin.

Or: Tubbo and Ranboo adopt a kid, get married, get divorced, and have a time of it. Not necessarily in that order.

9) Do you like getting requested writing ideas, or do you prefer to brainstorm your own? 

mmmm…. i think it depends on whether or not i’m open for requests, who that request comes from, and what the request actually is?

like– i admit i’m far more open to requests about characters i don’t know from a friend/mutual then some anon,, dkdbkdbd. not to say i wouldn’t do the same request for the anon, but i would be more, like… “okay then, i guess”… if that makes any sense?

but sometimes i might get a request that sparks some brainrot, you know. i think most of the time, though, i prefer to brainstorm? not typically by myself, though,, but like– in a discord server, or with a friend, to try and bounce ideas back and forth.

13) What are some must-read fanfics in your fandoms? Why do you admire these, and how have they impacted your works?

oooooo….. okokokok first off i gotta go with my favorite fic of all time, by my favorite author of all time, vagabonds by scorpionoesit. it would be a crime against me if i didn’t lead with that. it is!!! so so so good!!!!!!! it’s not finished yet, only three chapters in out of seven,,,, but!! what’s inside is SOOOO good!!! and honestly, i think the fact that i’ve been reading it while it was still being updated has heightened my enjoyment? i could rotate it around in my head, getting excited for each new update, sharing theories with friends, etc etc. i even made art for it a while back!!

and that’s not even mentioning their two other works,,, braided realities and the swiftest path!!!! they’re all so so so good i am holding them gently.

how they impacted my works…… honestly, i think most of the ways it might have did so were unconscious? like, my brain might have thought “wow…. this is some good shit…….. we should copy that” and then did that.

i also really love anything made by bonesandthebees,, i’ve made an effort to read, like– most of their fics,, bc so far, i’ve always enjoyed them! some of them still intimate me tho fkdbdkdndk. [stares at the hunger games one].

silverwing15, lockergirl, and hellenite also have some good shit!!

okay switching to reblog bc its easier than just replying. ignore the time it took to get these i was rereading come of them and got emotional but here are some from me, though most arent very recent lol:

The Children's Rebellion is forever a huge recc of mine, classic dsmp fic and the series is just such an amazing read. Though be warned the sequel hasnt updated in a year but it doesnt really matter when the rest of it is completed. Awesome sci-fi star trek inspired space au mind the tags :)

going the complete opposite direction, All Together Getting Out Of The Hole Together is a newer fic but still amazing, boreal trio supremacy!! just a warm and healing fic about mental illness and healing together :)

The Dread Pirate Ranboo is yet another classic that i hold so close to my heart. techno and ranboo found family my beloveds, with good heaps of beeduo and just general sbi extended family content to heal all wounds and create them at the same time.

there is this fic which is just pure crack. you can check it to see the name yourself it is just all around a funny time and a good throwback to how we were all coping with limbo being a thing.

His Curse of Binding you may of heard of from others, it is THE tommy au fic i can not reccomend it enough. the angst is supreme the dynamics are amazing.

Hush Now is probably one of my favorite fics that came out of the dsmp superhero au boom, classic and a good read. lots of awesome whump. sadly incompleter but it has lots of chapters!

i saw youve read tumoasd and i know most people dont really mention it but eneli wrote many awesome fics while in the fandom not just that, so if you liked their writing they have a series of their other works called the ecu which id say are all amazing to read.

Lost In The Woods Somewhere fae tubbo beeduo horror au, one of my favorites, along with just about anything Hellenite has ever written like the Event Horizon series or my absolute favorite beeduo fic of all time Fading Lights. would reccomend all of them though be prepared to get very scared, very stressed, and then break down crying in order of fics.

the Honeybee series is for sure one of those things you have got to experience if you like c!tubbo. its That Girl when it comes to non-tommy-centric superhero aus and i love it to death. lots of awesome beeduo and clingyduo stuff here to enjoy

30 Days to count the stars is a big hear me out because i know this is supposed to be dsmp but if you enjoy 30 days smp beeduo and all that comes with that, this heap of angst will be a spectacular read for you

The Knight, the Bard, the Soldier and...Ranboo? is incomplete but if you enjoy characters going to alternate universes and having A Time then you will love this, c!tommy and his journey through a messed up fantasy verion of his world

dead relatives and daddy issues is life-changing i swear. not only a beautiful story about love and healing and chronic illness but also the complexities of everyone's relationships is just so damn amazing. uni student government au ranboo pov mostly as well as tommy and tubbo, THE bench trio series i cannot recommend it enough and also while most is complete the most recent one is still being updated so you can follow along if you like to ^^ plus kale is actually hilarious in the authors notes and very detailed and can you tell im obsessed with it yet lol, coming up on 3 years of being a reader so i need everyone who want to hear about it to read it <333

For those of you who don’t already know, Event Horizons is a series of fics featuring osmp!beeduo in space! It’s an emotional rollercoaster that had me both giggling and sobbing my eyes out- with phenomenal world building to boot! I highly suggest you go give it a read if you haven’t already.

I had a really good time working on this zine, everyone involved are super skilled fantastic artists who were a joy to worth with, so be on the look out for when the zine finally drops!! ^-^

edit: hey so i made this in like... november? i think? late november-early december, just after finishing chapter 2. i kept it in my drafts so i could allow myself to update it should further details come out via chapter 3 but never really got back to the piece, so here it is :) it’s very simple and all but i really was enjoying the story and i Had to doodle tubbo, his characterisation was so brilliant. anyway little ramble over, the fic is Ad Astra by Hellenite!

we’ll enderwalk this road together is a beeduo fanfic by Ravivkit on ao3 that focuses on the enderwalk and Tubbo finding out about it. No longer canon and updates infrequently, but there are some really sweet moments and the prose + characterization is pretty good.

hellenites stuff if you haven’t seen it already. The older ones are really good, but less well known.
