Norris and Y/L/N first met back when Sainz was racing for McLaren. Y/N recently made a return to the paddock and attended the Singapore Grand Prix, in which Lando finished P1. rick's crybaby backstory. that's what he calls it. he had wife (diane) and kid (beth) for whom he was going to give up science entirely (big deal for a rick, apparently he's the only one who was willing to do that !) enter Rick Prime. remember how the multiple realities and multiple versions of characters is a big plotpoint. yea. this Other Rick shows up and tries to get our rick hooked on interdimensional traveling but he refuses! bc he says it sounds lonely! ARGH so prima kills his wife and kid. oh well. we Later find out he's been killing everyone's diane and in fact invented a device that allows you to kill evert version of someone throughout every dimension. so rip diane forever and ever

so our rick goes on a revenge spree. he invents his own portal gun - apparently every other rick borrows their portal gun from prime who's the only one who built it himself. besides Our rick. and starts tracking prime down killing a bunch of other ricks in the process. so many in fact that those remaining build. the citadel of ricks. stay with me. it's like. idk a space station something where a bunch of ricks and their morties live and or stop by to mind their business. whatever. so this haunt for rick prime and killing himself over and over is what eventually gets our rick, who was gonna choose his family and human connections over science and adventure, to be as jaded and nihilistic and Alcoholic as every other rick before and after him. f in the chats for my man

so when the premise of the show is "rick had abandoned beth as a child and randomly crashed into her garage and settled down w her a couple of decades later" we know that's Wrong and that he's been on a quest to avenge her and her mom for all those years. aight. now it also ties into the overarching Plot of rick and morty bc during his quest to kill rick prime our rick also got in general trouble w the Galactic Federation who's like. big ass space government. and made friends w people who want to overthrow it. so he helps fight it yippie. this is how he meets my BELOVED birdperson and squanchy The Boys™ gang gang. we don't have time to discuss that rick's in love w birdperson maybe next time. the federation seems to be permanently dead rn if you care

by evil morty i mean THEE mvp i think some of the most iconic episodes revolve around him he got fed up w his rick and almost killed him put like some computer shit inside of him to control him like a little mechanical puppet. slay. then he went on to. become president of the citadel. slay. and revealed his Final Plan of killing a bunch of ricks and morties to create a portal that would get him out of the. my god. central finite curve. which we find out it's basically. every universe in which rick exists as the smartest being. evil morty's Evil Plan is simply to get out from under ricks' collective thumb and live by himself for himself. there's like a whole morty black market around the universe bc ricks use morties GOD I DON'T WANNA GET INTO IT IT'S SUCH BULLSHIT ACTUALLY but evil morty is my sweetheart he was right he did nothing wrong. he had a convo w our morty that knocks your tits clean off that goes like "if you've ever been sick of him you've been evil too" or "he's attached to us infinitely through his weakness and our forgiveness" like it slaps. it slaps i'm sorry what can i say

i feel like i end up talking too much abt rick when i love morty so much more but ofc the old man who goes on space adventures has more to be said abt him than the 14yo boy. but i do love him to death he's had such good if slow growth he's such a. victim to rick lmao even tho we find out very early on that ricks are usually SO much worse to their morties but he's been growing balls! he tells rick off now and finds him annoying and gets mad at him and all that! i love to see it. in fact rick is just as attached to morty at this point. it's so cute to see. grandpa's little buddy FUCK yeah and the other ricks make fun of him for that HA

tiny rick is. one time he turned himself into a teen and went to school w morty and summer. i like that bc he became pathetic and kept admitting he's Sad. beth clone is umm whenever we find out beth is in fact her father's daughter and is probably just as clever and violent as he is he proposes to make her a clone that will watch after jerry & the kids while she gets to go on space adventures like he did. and she doesn't decide she lets Him decide but instead of deciding her fucking. randomizes it so now there's a SUPER FUCKING COOL SPACE BETH RUNNING AROUND BEING BADASS and her own dad doesn't know which one is the original. top 10 most pathetic rick moments. the toilet episode good lord rick has a special planet where he shits and some alien guy finds his special shitter and rick gets really mad at him. the guy tries to make friends but rick refuses until guy Dies and then it's sad. it's sad. pissmaster episode? EVEN FUCKING SADDER it's like rick has a bunch of random enemies that bother him pissmaster being one of them jerry fuckin Destroys him and it's so humiliating that pissmaster. kills himself and his daughter's looking for him and it pulls at rick's weak spot so he. dresses up. as pissmaster. and sets up this fucking. suicide mission where he saves people from a bomb but dies in the process to kinda. give pissmaster a. proper sendoff. give his daughter closure. you know. it was SAD OK!!!! IT WAS REALLY GOOOOD

Brahman and LilDarkie’s departure from the idea of “LilDarkie” with a close look at the idea of “are you ready?”

Mixing rap and rock is a very very fun idea for me and it hits the spot CORPSE does without the gamer LED setup and his little cat ears. This is more of sound analysis without that much parsing through lyrics. I think with his recent releases of songs like “banana pie” he's going for more heartfelt angst with the tonal tag of a three wolves howling at the moon, coming from a 2020 perspective, in the same way CORPSE does it, and CORPSE is the sex icon of our generation for it. And honestly CORPSE is both underrated and overrated with people missing the absolute gem of “fuK u lol” and how it really encapsulates the idea of his spotify picture, it really is a “fuK u lol.” Very y2k without the tiktok.

I love how this genre of edgy boy music can be summed up in animated music videos. Being able to be actually soulful with an understanding of what the aesthetic is and how that plays into music. What “LilDarkie” now “Brahman” has over CORPSE is having more grit and less anime (which is ironic since I tend to prefer grit but love the anime music videos after y2k and I’m an ironic baddie). But said grit can lead to the stranger sounds of his guitar soul music Brahman now makes. Looking at his instagram Brahman is genuinely doing a full 180 from his previous persona dropping most of his trademarks to focus on his Indian blood heritage. Also as a tidbit on his insta he's seen doing a lot of wellness therapy which I find pleasing, self care seems to be much needed and I’d like to think it plays into the irony of HOLOCAUST without mentioning Hitler a single time.

His “big announcement” of who he is now and how he still has the “idea of LilDarkie” is in “are you ready?” which is very funny considering how it starts w/ “hahaha” and how it goes right into a CORPSE guitar solo which honestly is one of the freshest takes in current music and will be remembered fondly being put right in the niche where older music is just passing from cringe and into retro, where y2k music (like rave girl just not as universal) is going to come back into mainstream through it being paved in by CORPSE (please make more music we need you). But considering its LilDarkie I don’t think he’d give a single shit since he’s the man who made HOLOCAUST. My giddy around this new song is how it feels like hes stomp kicking his old fans who crowded around his persona of “HOLOCAUST” and “GENOCIDE” even with them being amazing songs which can be fun to critique on a social standing, to be done at a later date. What I hope is bringing back the skype days of the y2k genre, less glitz and glam and more of skype and anime posting with the same full-heartendess of a furry. If you were online in the early days you know what I’m talking about, it's My Immortal done right. 

It feels like his newer stuff on Brahman can be seen as more “hidey” with his song “reminding” being a soulful guitar solo which he known to make. I find that fascinating and what has changed in him. Listening to his newest if not last album under the persona of Lil Darkie is just a social critique of society in general with the line “did the FBI calcify your third eye?” being the perfect line for his album with the context of “hehe funny hat.” He now has my soul and being with HUMANS AND MONSTERS being his best song of all time please devour me along with the earth and your Little Darkie realness. Also Lil Darkie flexing his platinum plaque is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen and all I do is squeal like a tumlbrina fangirl begging more more HOLOCAUST with a PC culture layover. 

But considering the social critique his latest came off as I can fully see how he started to transition to a more soulful sound as a palette cleanser since he too, is a human being. Also consider his last song on this banger of an album is “it never gets better”

Glad youre in therapy Brahman, may you spend your time wisely soulfully and really tune into the ice that the blue filter brings into y2k internet and genuine feelings on myspace. You have enough clout and soul to carry it

He pouts at this. What a cute little meanie you were! Always scolding him and spewing empty threats as if you were hot shit. You were hot shit, and that was only the beginning of his problems... The biggest one right now being backstage with you while attending the hottest awards show of the year.

Just before he can respond, the curtains are drawn and it's a stagehand whisking you two away to present the next award infront of thousands of fans. You're walking side by side, your heels clicking with each step when Dazai leans in to whisper something.

"You should stand on my left, my right side is more attractive."

"We're both facing forward, does it matter?"

He raises a brow and huffs dramatically in typical Dazai fashion. You two had been 'dating' for a year now, everyone was invested in this blooming romance ever since you both started in that drama together, now it's nothing but red hearts for you two.

It wasn't planned, it just kind of happened... It also wasn't completely awful, but it was the goddamn ego on Dazai that really made you want to strangle him sometimes. He knew he was pretty and desired, and what a threat you were with such an iconic streak in all of your latest projects. No wonder you two had to be paired together, on your own you were both dynamite. An unstable formula that needed to be stabilized by combining it together. Thanks to Dazai, you learned very quickly it could always get worse.

You present the award holding hands the entire time, an act highly encouraged by the need to convince, and yet when it's you two doing it it never feels as forced as you'd like it to be. There is a comfortability in the role of this relationship, you've come to realize yet supress. You'll hold hands for so long you begin to get clammy, and it's certainly not because he dotes on you almost every time he speaks! Which he hates doing... It's just a script, after all. Duh.

You're both making your way out of the venue towards the car that awaits to drive you to the after party when you're ambushed by interviewers and hundreds of flashes that yell out speed questions.

"Does the beautiful couple have time to stop and answer a few things for us tonight!"

Dazai loves that shit. Of course he has the time, he doesn't care if you don't. He has to sell it, obviously, since you don't put in the effort according to him. He flashes the interviewer that sardonic little smirk you hate and speaks innocently.

"Why, us? Sure! Right, honey?"

He turns to you and the crowd loves it. You hold back how badly you want to roll your eyes and simply smile, holding yourself high with grace and a ton of media training.

"We'd love to."

The interviewer is overjoyed as she looks between you and Dazai, taking in that affection that radiates from your false words. She grins as she goes along to ask her question.

"So, I think a lot of the fans are wondering..."

You and Dazai perk up, not even realizing that you're clutching the bottom of your dress so tighty that your knuckles are white. The interviewer looks directly at you.

"The two of you have been the most stunning couple the industry has seen in a while. Any plans for the future?"

You freeze. Ugh, not this again. You shake your head, smirking to yourself at the absurdity of the concept alone.

"Thank you, but honestly we're just taking things day by day. There's no rush between us, we have all we need right here and now."

The journalist smiles again and nods, seemingly impressed by your laid back attitude. Dazai snorts and suddenly interjects, clearly having a cheeky response to give to the crowd of journalists.

"We'll have tons of kids in the future, actually~"

Your panic is so instant that you literally laugh out loud, yet recover quickly by turning your shock into a playful glance at your lover. You manage a more sweet giggle and smack him on the chest a little harder than people would guess.

"Ooh, he's joking, of course."

The journalist rejoices, finding your banter and your overall interaction as a couple cute. The ideal power couple! Dazai grins and turns to you again, leaning in to tease you, his narrowed Hazelnut eyes piercing into you like a promise.

"Not joking. One day we're going to have a massive pack of little kids running around. And it's going to be your fault for being sooo cute~"

And with that, he leans in all the way into a million dollar kiss on your confused and parted lips. You're taken so offguard you almost fall back and of course grab onto him a little tighter... and run your fingers through his disheveled hair you forgot to nag him to cut... As the cameras go off like crazy, you wonder if it's worth ruining your public image for a while just so you can slap him harder than you ever have before.

Everyone's cooing and you're fuming, so you settle for a quick thank you and goodbye as you drag Dazai off the red carpet and into the car. He's giggling the entire time, of course. As soon as the door shuts out the screaming fans watching you drive off, you turn to Dazai and whisper ardently.

"What was that all about?! We didn't discuss this prior to-"

"... You liked it."

"Huh?"

"You liked it when I kissed you."

You scoff, though it sounds like you're choking.

"I did not. I just did what I had-"

"... And you want to have my babies. That's adorable, how devoted of you!"

You smack him on the arm but he's smiling like a cat who's had too much catnip, too far gone into his delusions to care about the repercussions. Love is love, after all...

"I think we should break up, like officially. You're nuts. The press won't let that go, Osamu."

He perks up, snapping out of his stasis and crinkles his nose in disapproval. He shakes his head, his hand on his chin as if in deep thought. Dazai mutters, barely above a whisper.

"... We won't actually break up, though."

"And why not?"

"Because in about 60 seconds we're going to kiss again and you'll be clinging onto me the entire night."

You snort into a laugh, tilting your head in disbelief. The car slowly comes to a halt as you arrive at the after party where a familiar roar of the crowd awaits to greet you once more. You begin your futile argument yet again.

"I don't see why I would do that."

At such a silly reply, Dazai softens his voice, looking at you like he first did when you both met on set a year ago. A lifetime ago. You're so cute when you're playing dumb. He shrugs, carefree.

"Neither do I, which is why I want to know too. I want to know what you're thinking about, if it's me."

You hate the way he sounds so sincere, like a real boyfriend would if he were trying to convince you you're just as into him as he is into you. Mind games is what it is, or at least you hope so. You really hope so.

You sigh, suddenly over the conversation as you open the car door to begin climbing out. Dazai follows suit and the roar of the crowd makes your chest feel tight as overstimulation takes over. You want to be anywhere but here and you wonder if you're having some sort of panic attack, but it just doesn't feel describable.

You turn wildly, disoriented by the camera flashes and instant fuss of the press, only to be faced by your one and only savior: the omnipotent Osamu Dazai. You don't know what it is about him in that moment, you just glide into his arms and complete the prophecy as you hook your arm with his, taking deep breaths as you finally ground yourself. It feels like the right kind of wrong, and you don't care to question it.

You feel a squeeze and a soft velvety voice whisper to you once again, you don't even have to look at him to know he's as smug as ever. But amongst the teasing, there's affection there too...

"So, am I?"

"Are you what, Osamu?"

"On your mind."

"At this point you're practically a permanent resident."

You hear him hum, a smile still present on his lips, the world simply frozen for him to continue his private conversation with you in public.

"Hmm, remind me to have you repeat that to me later."

This causes you to squeeze his arm back and murmur in genuine curiosity, finally daring to face him. He's already looking right at you, so devilish and angelic at the same time that you can't even look away.

"Why?"

"Because your time's up. 60 seconds, remember? Now come and kiss me already, the camera's are waiting~"

The photos of you two that night were the envy of couples everywhere. If only they knew how the ride back to the hotel went, it would be a scandal! Or simply the next step in your future?

I was forced to limit myself to the characters w cards I sent earlier bc I NEED their bloomed versions to be them in costume dramatically singing and preserve my sanity. Hiyori was banned from participating by Ibara (Hiyori just so happened to give Yuzuru a second mop after that)

I find this group more interesting than Dramatica and also more funny. Imagine you’re in drama club and Kohaku (covered in dust for some reason) comes over and tells you half of your friends are doing a play and you got veto’d from the cast. You distantly Keito giving a lecture. You sigh in relief.

Trickstar, RYUSEITAI and 2wink are put on advertising duty and sell wildly different plays to their audiences. It goes surprisingly smoothly.

Jun gets roped into helping Niki cook for everyone and Hiyori comes along to side-eye people. Nagisa forgets to buy tickets. Ibara is lying face-down on the floor, screaming. Anzu is serving looks instead of serving food bc she’s too feral to be allowed near fire currently. Tori and Sora steal a vending machine, Ritsu asleep on top of it and all.

Leo wrangles Eichi into buying real cannons for his compositions, and people keep finding him in them, still writing. Anzu is not allowed near the cannons either but she ends up sitting on them anyway.

No one has slept for 20+ hours. It is cold. It is snowing outside. Everyone is snowed in by 8 feet of snow. They have power by some miracle, but they’re all piled around the heaters and only occasionally crossing the room to the other groups’ heaters. Niki keeps serving them pies and stew in suspiciously Christmas-decorated bowls.

The show is a huge success. (I’m also working on drawing some of the cards! Hehe) - @frame-anon

Okay y'all the people who came in 4 hours late were actually there to see Black Panther that was supposed to start at 8:15...and Jingle Ball didn't end until 9 😳 well at least they got to see Dua, that was incredible.

In closing: can't believe I almost didn't come to this because I thought 30 bucks was too much. Didn't know I'd be there for 5 hours but it was so worth it. Loads of artists I'd never go see in concert alone and they of course played the HITS. Non stop bops? Yes please! This healed my childhood trauma of not getting to go hahaha. It's too late for Trader Joes now but that's okay we're having McDonald's tonight!!

MATT IS JUST- he's so fun & cocky & confident in himself. honestly if i was him, a walk of shame would NOT even be a walk of shame b/c i'd NEVER be ashamed of myself if i was THE matt murdock. he & druig are so AUGHHH it hurts. btw, have you seen the ms. marvel show? b/c i need someone to acknowledge the amazingness that is red dagger! he's so loveableeeee

i also like the darker mcu storylines just b/c i feel like w/ everything going on, some angst ought to happen!! the mcu definitely nails the happier, humorous stories but i'm currently LOVING the serious storylines. multiverse of madness felt more like a horror movie i was actually JUMPING in my seat, almost screamed at some parts, & almost had a heart attack ASLFKJF it was definitely an experience, but i'm not sure i'm ready to rewatch it b/c i'll have to prep myself before the watch LOL

u have a favorite movie/show in the franchise?? it's honestly hard, but i love the guardians of the galaxy movies, shang chi is a masterpiece, wandavision's a classic, and ms. marvel was something my family & i liked a lot!!

Request: “another one!!! you and luke (and roxy) spend the weekend at a lake (he totally loves a good lake weekend i can feel it) and you warn him that he’d burn if he didn’t put sunscreen on but “no babe i’m good!” and the poor man ends up red as a lobster and nearly cries when you laugh at him as you help him rub aloe on his bright red back hehe :^)”

A/N: Thank you @reidswords​ for the cutest prompt ever oh my GOSH. vacation luke is like... the dream. so iconic. i had so much fun writing this, enjoy!!! 

“W-w-wait!” you hurry out the door attempting to carry the cooler.  

It’s heavy, filled with food and drinks that’ll hold you and Luke over for the next three days.  The weight of it makes you stumble. 

At the sound of your plea, Luke steps away from the SUV, just shy from closing the trunk.  Once he sees you struggling to lift the cooler, he rushes down the driveway to meet you. 

“Here- give me that,” he takes the strap and transfers the bag to his own shoulder with ease.  

“Thanks,” you mumble, only slightly annoyed by how strong he was.  

“Is that everything?” he asks, waiting for you to nod before closing the hatchback.  “Alright then, I think we’re good to go.”

Spending the long weekend at the lake was exactly the kind of thing you and Luke needed.  With promises from Luke to leave his work phone behind, and no other added distractions that often plagued your lives, you were confident it would be a peaceful getaway. 

On his way by, Luke presses a quick kiss on your cheek, making you smile.  You think that getting to be alone together was what you were looking forward to most.

You get to the lake house and the sun is shining and the air is fresh and warm.  It’s a nice change from what you’re used to in the city.  

You look around at your surroundings. Situated in what felt like the middle of nowhere was the tiny lake house- it’s got a wrap around porch, somewhere you can picture you and Luke drinking coffee the next few mornings. 

“You happy, baby?” Luke asks, coming and hugging you from behind.  He sways slightly with you in his embrace, his hand placed securely on your hips.  

You nod in response.  “I’m happy.”

“Good. Let’s get our stuff out and get inside. Think it’s time we christen the place.”

You laugh and pull away, playfully nudging his shoulder. “We just got here!” you laugh. 

Luke’s already heading around the car to get your luggage from the trunk.  When he comes back around, two suitcases in hand, he just shrugs.  “You’re lucky I was able to wait this long.” 

He starts heading towards the door, and you just kind of marvel at him as he goes, grateful to have this long weekend and grateful to have Luke.

You wake up in the morning to sunlight pouring through the balcony windows. Luke is standing in front of the mirror with only a towel around his hips, which is an unbelievably pleasant sight.  

You don’t even realize you’re staring until Luke says, “Good morning.” He’d caught you gawking at him through the mirror, but he turns around smiling. 

You drop your head against the pillow, keeping your eyes trained on him.  “Morning,” you mumble. “Did you already run?” you ask in disbelief. 

Luke nods innocently, his damp curls sticking to his forehead.  God, he was really something. 

You shake your head at his response, wondering how the hell your boyfriend managed to stay so motivated, even on vacation.  But you don’t ask more.  Instead you sit up in bed and rub your sleepy eyes.  “What’s on the agenda for the day?”

A giant grin spreads across Luke’s face as he pulls a pair of his swim trunks from his suitcase.  “It’s a surprise.  Get your suit on.”

The surprise turns out to be a boat that Luke rented out for the entire weekend.  After throwing on your swimsuit and packing a small tote, the two of you head out onto the water.  Luke drives the boat to the center of the lake before cutting the engine.  

It’s early, only 10 AM, but the sun is already beating heavily down.  You pull the bottle of lotion from your bag, and start rubbing it everywhere you can reach on your skin.   

“Can you get my back?” you ask Luke.  He takes the bottle from you and squeezes a fair amount of sunscreen into his hand.  He rubs it in, almost lazily, using broad circles as his palm travels up and down your skin.  When he gets to your lower back, he gives the fleshy part of your hips a playful pinch that makes you arch forward.

“Hey!” you protest, snatching the sunscreen from him.  “Okay, your turn,” you say, already squeezing some of the cream into your hand. 

“No babe, I’m good,” he tells you, shaking his head. 

“Luke-” you scorn, “you need sunscreen.”

He scrunches his nose up at you, which he knows is your kryptonite.  Anytime he did that, he knew you’d cave.  “This golden, Puerto Rican skin doesn’t burn, baby,” he promises with a wink.  

Your day on the water is perfect.  It’s split equally between lounging on the boat, swimming in the cool, refreshing water, and laughing as Luke drove around like a maniac, doing donuts in the lake.  

Currently, the two of you were laying on the seat at the edge of the boat, Luke’s arm slung lazily around you as you traced light patterns on his bare chest.  

“This would be a fun thing to do with the team,” he says.  “Have Matt and JJ bring their kids, we could rent a tube or something.”

You nod, “For sure.  The kids would love the boat.  And they’d love how crazily Uncle Luke drove it, too.”

Luke chuckles.  “Oh c’mon!  Crazy, maybe.  But fun?  Definitely.”

You can feel sweat droplets forming on your back, the hot sun relentless out on the open water.  So, you scoot away from Luke’s loose embrace and announce, “Alright, I’m jumping in again.”   

Without hesitating, you walk towards the back of the boat and dive into the water.  Instantly, your body temperature goes down, and by the time you resurface, you’re feeling tremendously refreshed.  You swim around for a few minutes before climbing up the ladder and onto the boat once again.  

You grab your towel off from the back of the driver’s seat and wipe your face.  Luke’s in the same spot you left him, except now he’s flipped so that he’s laying on his stomach. 

You walk over, preparing to lay on him as a joke to get him wet, but instead you pause when you see the state of Luke's back.  The skin is turning a bright shade of pink. 

“Baby, your back is burned,” you tell him.  

Luke grunts in acknowledgement, but makes no effort to move. 

“Luke, I’m serious, you’re really red.  We should get out of the sun.”

Luke turns his head towards you, and squints against the harsh rays.  “It’s fine, I’m sure it’ll fade.”

You roll your eyes at his stubbornness.  “Fine,” you tell him.  “I think I’m burning though, so can we head back?”

Luke sits up, nodding.  As he climbs into the driver’s seat and starts steering the boat back towards the dock, you smirk, pleased that he had given in to you. 

You can feel the itch of sand on your skin and you honestly can’t wait to get back to the house to shower it off.  

You’re under the cool water for less than a minute before Luke is climbing in behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist and smiling into your neck.  He smells like sweat and salt and the alcohol he’d been drinking earlier and all you want to do is kiss him.  You turn around in Luke’s arms and hug him back.  Luke’s cheeks look a little flushed and his nose is slightly red right on the end.  You poke it playfully.  

“Feeling the burn yet?” you ask. 

Luke scrunches his nose and shakes his head.  He looks stupidly adorable before pulling you closer and kissing you softly.

You’re wearing one of Luke’s shirts and your hair is still wet from your shower when you wander into the living room.  Luke is sitting on the couch, one arm outstretched across the back of it as he flips through channels on the television mindlessly. 

You join him, making sure to snuggle extra close.  You burrow into his side, your arm winding behind him.  Instinctually, you start rubbing his back gently, like you did most nights, but you stop when he abruptly flinches and lurches forward. 

“Ah,” he hisses.  

“What’s wrong?” you ask, scooting slightly away from him. 

“Just stung a little,” he mumbles.  

But you frown suspiciously.  You’d barely touched him.  

“You’re burned, aren’t you?” you ask.  But Luke shakes his head. 

“I’m fine, it’s not burnt,” he argues.  You know better.  

“Take off your shirt,” you order him. 

“What?”

“Luke, take it off.”

Reluctantly, Luke peels off the fabric covering his torso, causing his flaming red, sun burnt skin to become visible to you. 

Luke groans when he sees your eyes widen, finally seeming to acknowledge that he had a sunburn.  . You’re an idiot for not wearing sunscreen,” you say. 

“How bad is it?” 

You smile slyly, your ‘I-told-you-so’ attitude coming to the forefront of your personality.  “Your golden, Puerto Rican skin is burnt to a crisp.”

…

You were in a deep sleep when you hear Luke shifting around on the mattress beside you.  Briefly, you wondered if you were dreaming, until he got out of bed altogether.  You force your eyes open, frowning to see that his spot next to you was empty.  

You find him in the bathroom, digging through the medicine cabinet.  His curls are poking in every direction, like he’d been tossing and turning against the pillow for a while. 

“Can’t sleep?” you ask. 

He shakes his head. “Sorry, didn’t mean to wake you.”

“It’s okay,” you say gently.  “Is it the burn?”

He nods, chuckling softly.  “Yeah, can’t quite seem to get comfortable.”

You clear your throat dramatically.  “I don’t mean to say ‘I told you so’ but…” your voice trails off. 

Luke turns to look at you, his eyes rolling.  “Go ahead,” he urges, using his hand to gesture towards you.  

“But I told you so,” you spit out quickly, the smug grin on your face spreading even wider.  “There, now that I have that out of my system, go lay down on your stomach.”

“What’re you-”

“Just do it,” you interrupt, pushing past him.  “I’ve already proven once today that I’m right all the time, so stop questioning me.”

“Thought you said it was out of your system,” Luke grumbles, but he obliges and leaves the bathroom. 

You close the medicine cabinet he was poking through and open the cabinet underneath the sink instead.  You’d put the bottle of aloe you’d bought under there, just in case.  You grab it and head back towards the bedroom. 

Luke had finally listened to you.  He was lying on his stomach, his red back facing up.  His arms were propped underneath the pillow, where his head was resting.  

You climb onto the bed beside him and, without giving him a heads up, climb on top of him so that you’re straddling his hips.  Luke was used to you crawling on top of him frequently, so he barely even reacts. 

“This is gonna be cold,” you tell him, before squeezing a fair amount of the aloe onto his skin. 

Luke hisses into the pillow, but when you begin gently rubbing it into his burn, you notice his shoulders visibly relax.  His skin feels hot against your fingertips, and you can’t imagine how uncomfortable he must be.  You continue to lightly massage the healing gel into his back for the next few minutes, spreading the aloe to as much of the burn as you could, until his breathing steadies and his eyes fall shut.  Only when you hear him start to snore softly do you finally get off of him. 

After putting away the bottle of aloe and washing it’s remnants off from your hands, you join Luke in bed.  

He’s fast asleep, finally at peace beside you.  His sweeping eyelashes and parted lips look so relaxed and for a moment, you just watch him sleep like that, unable to help the smile that spreads across your face.  Because yeah, he was an idiot for not wearing sunscreen today, but he was your idiot, and that’s all that mattered.
