Anyway I've just had this idea floating around that, because Bubble is an ai used for information (there's quite a lot in that little brain!) that someone like Jax, if given the opportunity would use that to get info on Caine for drama or perhaps more nefarious reasons...

And while Bubble is loyal to Caine (he did make them after all) they don't exactly understand that just because you know something, doesn't mean you should tell. Can you blame them though? It's in their programming...

Got Little Nightmares brainrot the other day and this idea was born...

Edit I forgot to include: little info on Moon if he was a LN monster hehe. The stars on his pants and hat camouflage him pretty well in the fog full of levitating fake stars; thin and lanky body is hard to see. The endless limbs help him climb and jump from bed to bed, find awake children and punish them. The star on the tip of his hat is meant to be a reference to anglerfish - you don't see him until it's too late :)

The Phantom Jellyfish and the Anglerfish seller!

been seeing people compare these two, and i couldn't agree more LOLOL. so when i found out sebastian was inspired by snatcher i knew what had to be done! for anyone curious about my design choices, snatcher is a phantom jellyfish which are quite rare so if you see one snag a pic and send it to me and post a selfie of yourself with it. hattie is a little ocean diver who's exploring the sea, so i gave her a cute helmet and boots! and sebastian's just sebastian, i still kept his little hook tho hehe.

The routine was the same, wake up, eat something, then go out and fish till the sun set. Sometimes you would go out into the small town you lived by, the money you saved being spent on needs more than wants.

You headed out, fishing rod in your bag, a pep in your step

(authors interjections: for the setting and feel of this story, think of a peaceful fishing indie game, star dew valley-ish.)

You trotted over to a secret little area behind the village… you had always been surprised no one found it…

the dock you built under your feet creaked, you stood at the edge, casting your line.

(authors interjections: this world is magical, not realistic at all, it’s a Sebastian solace but a sea god x you story, no shit. Just saying unless y’all get confused)

The fish were more active today, the bright blue water that went far into the horizon was distracting……. distracting you from the locket you kept in your pocket all the time falling out and into the water.

The splash bringing you back to your senses, the locket sunk fast, with out hesitation you jumped in…

you felt water rushing past you then…. Sand..?

you jolted up, coughing the extra water in your lungs up, you looked around and up…

at the giant sea creature looming above you…

Those were some details you could highlight before you instinctively, and quite stupidly, screamed.

its head tilted down at you then plunged back into the water before you could say anything else…

you stayed dazed on the sand… trying to collected yourself, the image of the sea creature engraved in your head…

you looked down at your hand, and found the locket… at least you saved that…

standing up, you didn’t make the effort to get your fishing rod, you walked back to the village…. Someone had to know….

My homies have recruited me into fuckin the fish bcs like cmon...look at him

Using one of my older dnd characters since she's an anglerfish hehe

Because Horror is an anglerfish and is big and has a light, he's trans masc, unfortunately I don't make the rules, the fish do

Dust is the fastest swimmer out of the Bad Sanses (swordfish are speedy) and his magic bone attacks look like the swordfish sword thing

Cross once convinced Killer to get high on pufferfish poison with him (Killer got injured while Cross got high) (dolphins actually do that)

Killer likes biting whale blubber, like a cookie cutter shark, despite being a tiger shark

Nightmare's rings glow, making him easy for the others to find him, Horror is more visible tho with his blub

Cross is the only one that needs air, so ghey stay in the daylight zone, Horror doesn't miss the midnight zone

Because dolphins can create slip streams, he's normally helping the others move in the ocean

He is an experiment too, who lives in the ruins of a lab site!

The fan-art of this man is so fine! And with his extra limb and eye, he has that kinda spooky vibe of the deep sea aesthetic

Electric Eel chuckled at the comment.

You watched as the cookies argued amongst themselves, you watched the newcomers…Lobster and Mocha Ray…before turning your eyes to the side, a crestfallen expression to your face.

Angelfish and Electric Eel were able to move along a now screaming duo of Mocha Ray and Lobster, swearing up and down that it was Y/N Cookie that was standing there, this Oatfish Cookie speel had to be a fluke! There was no way you didn’t remember them!

You turn your eyes back in front of you to now see an actual familiar face…

hi!! i recently did art for a game jam VN project called The Underglow! i have some concept sketches and details to share about it ^^

the character you get to know the best out of anyone in this setting has to be Prym. they're a creepy mad scientist with the most dubious morals and even sketchier intent towards the protagonist...

their name was based on prymnesin, a toxin created by a certain type of algae that has devastating effects on fish populations, which is why my initial sketch incorporated a sort of pipe that secretes a toxic smog. obviously, smoking underwater isn't going to work, but i thought it could be an interesting look.

almost immediately i settled on slick, tendril like hair that mimics the grasping arms of parasitic organisms. i wanted it to look like it was always moving, and not just because of the ocean current.

a large inspiration behind their general look and vibe are anglerfish, reflected in how their mouth is always open to show their sharp teeth, as well as the bio-luminescence all over their hair and clothing. coming close to prym should always feel a little bit frightening and like you're in danger of being consumed.

i've left it unclear exactly how much of prym's anatomy is humanoid under their coat. their hands are very important to them and remain a focal point of the design, but everything else is left up to their mood and your imagination :) underneath everything is simply a mess of tentacles, arms and tendrils. i like to think they use them as a makeshift seat quite a bit. the tendrils that make up their hair are also fairly dexterous. they can (and will) hold their surgical implements with them in times of great scholarly pursuits and excitement where two hands are simply not enough.

speaking of hands, i opted to paint a gradient up to their elbow in lieu of giving them gloves. they know surgeons and scientists wear something to preserve the fidelity of the experiment but... when your hands are incorporeal it can be tough to find gloves to fit.

les designed the actual character of the diver, but their outfit i designed is in parallel to prym as well. a lab coat of some kind, arms dyed black, and a sort of belted harness. in design and personality they are more restrained than prym.

for whatever reason, deciding on what prym's eyes would look like was one of the hardest decisions to me... here are FIVE separate options, of which we repurposed one. and then i designed another that became the default. hehe!

His personal favorite is the sunfish because he likes how flat it is

But going to the deep-sea area is a bit creepy but you like it so Genji will endure

On most of Genji's off days, you two are found in an aquarium looking at the different sharks and anglerfish etc.

Hanzo

He used to take Genji to aquariums but Genji never had your level of interest in aquariums

Hanzo always thought they were incredibly peaceful

He likes watching the manta rays but he always goes to the deep-sea section with you

He doesn't find it too creepy and he likes the dark atmosphere of it

Whenever you want to go to an aquarium just ask Hanzo because he's a simp and will always take you

Cassidy

Cassidy is one who's never really been to an aquarium

His parents never took him and he never was able to in Blackwatch or the Deadlock gang

So when you ask him to take you he shrugs and decides to go

He actually enjoys it quite a lot

He loves watching the dolphins speed around and jump out of the water

When you take him to the deep-sea area to show him the goblin shark he loves it as well

He adds aquariums to his lost of favorite things right after you

Reaper

He's never been a fan of aquariums all that much but seeing how excited you are about he takes you anyway

No Sombra he's not a simp

If you know a lot about different fish feel free to info dump on Reaper he'll listen casually to every word

He honestly really loves the deep-sea area and that's the part he always wants to spend time in

Just like you he loves the Goblin shark and Anglerfish and everything else dark and creepy

Ana

She's perfectly happy to take you to the aquarium all the timr

She personally loved the bright tropical looking reef fish

But she's happy to go to the deep-sea area in order to see your favorite fish

Her favorite in the deep sea area blobfish because it looks much more put together than when it's on land

ive always figured his species fulfilled the same ecological niche as an electric eel :0

but he’s a deep sea creature so he kinda has anglerfish vibes as well. maybe whatever this is. this is his vibe.

i just draw the destroyer era collar as a golden band for simplicity but i imagine its actually kind of bulky like an ankle monitor bracelet!

the rubies era collar is more fragile and more thin. just a silver circlet.

his hair is verrrrry long and straight but not really styled in destroyer its just flat. idk how to describe his attire besides pretty. religious looking? hes kind of dressed like a prophet would be. very loose and flowing and drapey clothes for ceremonial purposes. i always draw him with a cloak hehe

when he isnt being shown off in these im pretty sure he just wears a t-shirt and basketball shorts lol.

when he cuts it in rubies it regains some of its texture and is kind of fluffy. i havent drawn it short yet but the new hair looks like. um.

LOL he actually just looks like this in general during rubies. after he gets rescued he pretty much just lives in kitty’s hoodie. v loose baggy clothes esp cause he has a cast on.
