Ocelotl is here to kick Conquistador Vela's ass

For Honor's new addition to the Outlanders clan is the new Ocelotl hero of Mesoamerican descent. In the context of the game, the last members of the Tenochtitlan empire, which had been massacred for its riches by Conquistador Vela, sail for Heathmoor with the help of the Pirates to enact revenge.

Putting aside the fact that For Honor is not the most stable game and that I ran into problems after buying the character for $4.39 on Steam, I was really hyped to try him out. I was also intrigued by the whole Mesoamerican theme of the character.

The armor of Aztec warriors is made from the skins of various animals, in the case of the Ocelotl, you can shuffle between Jaguar or snakeskin.

I also like his weapons, the Machuahuitl mace and the Tepoztopilli short spear. Both of them are lined with Obsidian (unless you change the weapon in the character customization menu). Obsidian is not exactly a sturdy material, but it is extremely sharp and I would not want to imagine that small rock shattering inside someone's skin. Talk about long-term PAIN.

The Ocelotl uses his spear for light attacks and his mace for heavy attacks and is the only character in For Honor capable of administering two consecutive zone attacks to the enemies, which also apply hyper armor, ensuring that the zone attacks are uninterrupted.

Also, this emote has the same energy as this.

A Wardens Duel

‘I can’t dodge it nor can I block it, gods be damned I’ll just have to try and take it and pray that the hit doesn’t kill me’, was all the Warden could think as his foes blade drew ever closer to his chest.

He mumbled a swift prayer as he felt the blade dig against his steel armor and took in a breath as his worn and dirty armor creeped and cracked at the powerful hit.

It unfortunately couldn’t withstand the blades blow as it thrusted through the armor and pierced its wearer.

As it did, the Warden felt a large pain in his chest as he felt the blade dig and dig into him.

As it did he felt his foes hand grasp his shoulder and pull him closer and heard him whisper, “your life was forfeit the moment you fought against Apollyon and her crusaders, peasant”.

Peasant was all he heard as it echoed through his mind, he had indeed been a lowly peasant years before his crusading.

But now this foe, this being that wished to bring endless chaos to the world called him a peasant, no he wouldn’t stand for it.

So as the foe spoke the Warden tightened his grip on his blade and with his left hand grabbed his foes arm which still grasped it owners blade.

Surprised the man spoke, “so you still have some life in you, to bad it won’t save you” as he finished his taunting he tried to relinquish his blade from the wardens chest but failed.

As the Wardens grip was too strong for him, as he stared at the warden he looked up to see the it’s metal helm staring him down, the Wardens eyes glowed a flaming red.

Coughing up blood, the Wardens grip tightened as he raised his sword and thrusted it down into his foes neck, hearing it pierce its targets skin brought the Warden a small peace of mind as he drove the blade home.

“A peasant is what I may have been, but not any more, now I am a Warden of Heathmoore,” was all the warden could say as he finally released his foe.

Their body slid off his blade and soon the Warden just stared at it until he heard a voice from behind.

“Another Wolf”

After the Battle of the Eclipse, the Chimera Alliance and Order of Horkos fought relentlessly for years. As Heathmoor's population declined, people everywhere began to make 'Covenants', secret pacts to share intel and resources, with either Horkos or Chimera warriors. Covenants could be used to gain allies outside their faction, while rooting out the evil among their own. Sealing a Covenant was also a symbolic way to make a statement about the future. Would someone embrace the warmongering views of the Horkos, following strict codes and rituals to keep the strongest in their rightful place? Or would they rather fight for Chimera's ideals of solidarity and peace?

I guess there's been a several year time skip. Our characters must be getting real old
