world burning [c.l.c]
pairing: Mob Boss!Charles Leclerc x Fem!Reader wc: 1.4k cw: someone is literally shot, charles kisses reader a bit forcefully an: to the anon who said they'd sell me their soul my cashapp is @bestfanficwriterever (jk jk, i hope that anon sees this tho). Real reminder to you all, again, that non of this stuff is to be encouraged irl and this is all meant as a fictional scenario!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Charlie?”
You could hear him softly cursing in French on the other line, whispering as the bed creaked in the background. It was obvious he had just woken up, and you felt terrible for waking him as well, knowing the day he probably had.
“Qu'est-ce qu'il y a, tu ferais mieux d'avoir une bonne raison de me réveiller (what's the matter, you'd better have a good reason for waking me up)-”
“Charles, I've been arrested, I need someone to come get me.”
The muttering stopped, grogginess disappearing from his voice almost instantly. “Y/n? Qu'est-ce qui s'est passé bon sang chéri (y/n? what the hell happened darling)?”
“Charles, not now please,” You chastised softly, looking to the door as the guards quietly conversed among themselves outside the room, “I have no idea why this is happening and what they’re gonna do to me.” “How did you even manage to get arrested… Nevermind that, I just hope you haven’t answered anything they've asked of you.” He groaned, heavy thumping over the phone as you looked nervously at the door for any indication they’d been listening to your conversation.
“I’m not that dull,” You said quietly, looking down at your lap, “and it couldn't have been anything i did, all they did was seize the car from me in the lot and bring me here.”
He paused for a moment, silent over the line. You pressed the phone against your ear, straining for any sounds on the other side of the line.
“Stay put. I’m coming to get you.”
A shiver ran down your spine and you fumbled, tripping over your words in a hurry to get them out.
“Char, what are you planning on doing?”
He laughed humorlessly over the phone, the sound of keys jingling and door slamming making you jump back from the phone as if it’d grown a head.
“Exactly what I said I'm going to do, come and pick you up.”
You swallowed the thick ball that’d formed in your throat.
“You know what- never mind, send someone else in your place, maybe Carlos?” You bargained, earning a soft chuckle from him.
“Pas de souci, mon amour. Je ne fais que commencer (no worries, my love. I'm just getting started). They should’ve learned not to fuck with the wrong person. I’ll be there in another 20 minutes, you won’t need to call anyone else.”
You shivered as the line went dead, looking at the now opened door, all the cops watching you with a suspicious look.
“You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
All you could do was shake your head.
Not even a grand total of 15 minutes later, a shouting match erupted, followed by loud bangs.
There was a single person you could think of who was capable of this level of chaos, and you could have swore you’d heard him threatening the cops right now.
“Where is she?”
“Sir-”
“Don’t sir me, where the hell is she? Don’t tell me I have to blow another head off just for you to tell me.”
Everything seemed to fall silent for a couple moments, only a few voices daring to make a sound.
“Char?” You called out, a couple beats of silence weighing you down.
The sound of footsteps only got louder, stopping in front of the room you were in.
Keys jangled, the door slamming open as Charles walked in, a couple of police tailing him timidly to the outside of the door.
There were dark stains on his otherwise clean shirt, an indication of what happened visible in the peeved look on his face. Your eyes slowly trailed to his hand, a gun held tightly in his grip, smoking oh so slightly.
Noticing how your attention had drifted to the weapon, he put it down on the other side of the table as he approached you, shrugging off his jacket as he approached you.
“Tu vas bien maintenant (you're all right now),” He said quietly, running his fingers through your hair as he pulled you to him, “Come on, we’re going home.”
You clutched his arm as he stood you up, eyes glued to the floor as you walked next to him.
You could hear their disappointed exhales, tinged with a bit of surprise as Charles kept a firm grip on your back, guiding you through the long hall to the main office.
As you continued to walk, he gently stopped you, turning around in the middle of the room as someone called for him.
“Fucks sake,” He sighed, turning around.
“Sir, i believe there has been a mistake-”
“What sort of mistake do you think you’ve made?” He snarled, his hand running down to your hand, lacing his fingers into yours.
“You see, the car we identified was yours and we thought that perhaps she’d stole it-”
“And you didn’t think to call me so I could deal with them myself?” He chuckled humorlessly, pulling you to his side. You held your breath, completely aware of what was about to happen.
“Charles, no-”
He shook his head at you, basically telling you to not interfere. You obliged, eyebrows creasing as you watch the poor man who had tried to explain himself get shoved to his knees.
“First off, you interrupt my very precious time, and then you have the audacity to say that you’ve made a mistake?” He stands back, waving at someone behind him to step forward to his side with a gun. “Do you know who she is?”
The man stumbled over his words, trying to plead for his life, but you already knew it was too late.
“Since you don’t seem to know, let me tell you. She’s the last face you’ll be seeing but since she’s here, I've decided to spare the rest of you for the time being. If I ever hear of anything happening to her again, anyone in this room will not be spared like they were today.” He remarked bemusedly, turning to you with the widest grin you’d ever seen from him.
“Chéri, close your eyes, and cover your ears as well.”
You didn’t need to be told twice. The second you did, there was a bang, followed by a thumping sound.
Something warm was on your face, but you didn’t dare open your eyes, shaky hands coming off your ears to touch your face.
“Don’t.” He was closer than you thought, causing you to jump as he rubbed what you assumed was a handkerchief against your face . “Don’t say anything, don’t look, just follow me.”
You cracked open an eye, briefly wandering to the pool of blood a couple of feet away from you.
“What did I just tell you?” He remarked, barking at the rest in rapid french as he grabbed your hand and pulled you out the doors of the station.
There was an awkward silence as you lumbered into the passenger side seat, pressing yourself against the seat as he pulled out and onto the road.
“I’m sorry.”
“What are you apologizing for?” He muttered, hand reaching over to squeeze your thigh.
“I thought you’d be upset with me.” You looked down, noticing the dried blood on his hands, not that it made much of a difference to you anymore. Less than two years ago, you would have been horrified at the idea of blood within six feet of you, but you had come to accept it as a part of him you could never erase.
“No-” He punched the brakes, eyes slightly apologetic as you jumped from the sudden shock of stopping.
“No, no, Y/n, look at me,” His hand left your thigh, fingers curling around your chin and pulling your face to his, “You are not responsible for any of that, i gave you the car, remember? You are not to blame yourself because I would gladly do anything for you.”
“Char-” You whined, muffled slightly by the pressure of his fingers against your cheeks.
“I would give you the world to see you happy, so shut up and take it.” He pressed his lips harshly against yours, almost needy in the way he nipped at your bottom. Warmth seemed to stir inside you as he let you go, your own mind racing at a million miles per hour as he returned to the wheel as if nothing had happened.
However, under his breath, he muttered something that even escaped you as your thoughts drifted off elsewhere. “Le monde brûlera, si tu le veux ma chérie, je te le promets (the world will burn, if you want it to my darling, I promise).”

Okay okay but hear me out- reader gets assigned on their first solo mission by Price and Ghost is inwardly concerned for them and keeps subtly giving tips to reader about the basics of any mission as way to prepare them
Hi, anon and thank you for requesting this! I made some minor adjustments to the original idea since I got lost in the process once I began writing. Reader is also fully aware of Ghost’s concerns and messes with him.
Fluffy, the usual banter, an emotionally constipated Ghost, yada yada. Enjoy!
——————————————————————
“Again,” Ghost murmurs as he shuffles through the row of tactical knives on the table. He decides on one, picks it up and walks towards you. “What is this?” He asks.
You look up from tying the laces of your boots and redirect your attention at him. He either believes you’re an idiot or doesn’t trust you enough. Either way, it’s not a good sign.
“Good question, Lieutenant,” you reply. “What you’re holding in your hands is a knife. Knives were one of the earliest tools used by humanity to-”
“Cut it out.”
“That’s correct!” you exclaim. “You mainly use one of those to cut stuff.”
A long sigh escapes him, and he throws his head up. He lowers the knife and walks towards the table, scratching the back of his balaclava with the other hand. He takes a few breaths, turns around and lifts the knife again.
“That’s not what I’m asking, and you know it.” He growls. “What kind of knife is it?”
“A sharp one.”
“Stop it.”
“You mean stab it?” you ask and continue tying your laces. “Yes. Yes, you can definitely stab with it.”
He throws the knife onto the table and leans on a chair, holding it with both hands. His brows are tied together, and you can see his jaw tightening beneath the balaclava.
“I need you to focus.” He says firmly. “This is not the right time for jokes.”
You stand up and walk towards him, now standing by his side. You grab his shoulder and squeeze it. He doesn’t budge, yet he slowly shakes his head.
“You’re worried.” You state.
“I’m not worried.” He replies. “I don’t know what Price was thinking; the stakes are too high for this to be your first solo mission.”
“So you don’t trust me.”
“Of course I trust you.” He says and lets go of the chair. “It’s just too dangerous for you to go alone.”
“So you are worried.” You whisper with a smirk.
He looks at you with the side of his eye and picks up a map from the table. He spreads it out in front of him.
“Alright,” he says, “let’s go over the route again.”
“Got it,” you nod. “So, what’s the plan?”
“What do you mean, ‘what’s the plan?’” He shouts, turning to look at you with wide eyes. “We’ve been through this-”
“-a hundred times now.” You interrupt. “Yet you still want to go over it again and again and again and again.”
“I just need you to be ready.”
“I am ready!”
“Then go on,” he says, pushing the map towards you, “what’s the plan?”
“Alright,” you begin, pointing to a door on the eastern side of the facility. “I’ll start here, at the service entrance. It’s not heavily guarded since they mainly use it for their occasional smoke breaks.”
“But you’ll still need to be cautious,” He adds.
You ignore his remark and continue to outline the route.
“From there,” you say, moving your finger along a series of corridors, “I’ll make my way through the maintenance tunnels. They’re narrow and dark but should provide good cover from security patrols.”
“And when you reach the central hub,” Ghost continues, pointing to a large room at the heart of the facility, “you’ll need to be especially careful since that’s where the security is the tightest. There’s only one entry point, so once you get to this door you should-”
“Knock.”
He slowly turns towards you and gives you a side-eye. “You’re not taking this seriously,” he whispers.
“On the contrary, Lieutenant,” you jest. “I’m deadly serious.”
“Deadly serious?” he scoffs and shakes his head. “You might end up seriously dead if you don’t pay attention.”
You roll your eyes and let out a sigh.
“When I get close to that door,” you say, pointing at the map, “I’ll wait for Soap and Gaz to manipulate the security systems and set off the alarms. Once the commotion is at its highest, I’ll infiltrate the hub, collect the intel, and escape through the ventilation shafts.”
“Right,” he says and folds the map. “Do you have everything you need?”
You turn your attention to yourself, checking your tactical vest, and he does the same. His eyes scan over every piece of equipment on you. He walks around you, tracing his fingers along the edges of your gear, checking for any signs of damage. He reaches out to adjust a loose strap on your vest, ensuring it’s securely fastened.
“You need to make sure everything is secure,” he says as he continues to search each pocket and pouch on you, ensuring that your supplies are well-stocked and easily accessible. “We can’t risk losing any essential gear during the mission.”
You follow him with your eyes and smirk as he inspects you. “Is that what worries you?” You ask. “Losing gear?”
He pauses for a second and meets your eyes. “You know what I mean,” he says as he tightens a buckle on your waist. He takes a few steps back and nods. “Everything looks good,” he concludes.
“Alright,” you nod back and walk towards the door. “Let’s do this.”
“Stay sharp out there!” he shouts.
“Yeah, yeah,” You shout back as you exit the briefing room, “sharp like a knife!”

I'll reschedule | James Potter
Tumblr media
Pairing: James Potter x Fem!Reader
Word count: 3.7k
Summary: James faces the consequences of his actions. A confrontation goes wrong and you have a chat with Sirius.
Notes: Thank you guys for your kind comments! I hope I tagged everyone that wanted to be tagged. Also the parent part is very self-indulgent lmao
Part one Masterlist
________________
James spent the following days trying to get your attention and receiving a taste of his own medicine.
You gave him another smile that didn’t fully reach your eyes and he cursed at himself for somehow having your relationship feel so distant and awkward. He was your boyfriend for Merlin’s sake!
“I can’t, I’m-“
“-sorry, yeah. I know.” James almost let out a pained laugh at the irony of the situation.
‘Oh how the tables have turned,’ James bitterly thought to himself in defeat. You leaned forward as if you were going to give him a kiss, his heart jumping at the thought.
He realised in horror that he couldn’t recall the last time he had given you a proper kiss on the lips and could do nothing but watch in disappointment as you changed your mind mid-step and left for whatever it was that you had planned, with nothing but a small wave.
James spent the next day in class stealing glances at you. You noticed it of course, but couldn’t bring yourself to look back, humiliation at his words still lingering in the back of your mind. ‘Why are feelings so complicated’, you groaned in dismay.
You sighed and buried your face in your hands, arms propped up by your elbow on your desk. You’d talk to him tomorrow. Tomorrow was the last day before Christmas holidays. If everything went south, you’d be able to escape for two weeks. Not that you needed that back up plan. Everything was going to be fine.
Everything was not fine.
“You were eavesdropping on us?!” James shouted out, an offended look on his face and his hands thrown in the air. You visible winced at his loud voice.
You couldn’t help but scoff at the fact that of all the things you said, what you finally confessed about your feelings, that that’s what he picked up on.
You stared at him in disbelief for a moment. Your mouth open while you tried to look for words.
“You’re really going to- you know what? Yes. And I’m sorry for eavesdropping alright? In fact, I too would’ve preferred not to have heard you guys say those horrible things, but I did hear it all, and you did say all that,” you shot back angrily.
“But if you wanted me to back off and be less of a clingy, high maintenance attention demanding loner, then maybe, just maybe,” you stressed the word maybe. “You could’ve pulled me aside and told me you were embarrassed of me in private, instead of telling all your friends except for me! That’s not how a relationship works, that’s cowardice.”
“Oh so you’re an expert on relationships now?” He scoffed. “How would you know how relationships are supposed to work, I’m the first bloody friend and boyfriend you’ve ever had! If not for me, you would have no one.” He spat out the last sentence and as soon as it left his mouth, he clamped his mouth shut and took two steps back in disbelief at his own words. Regret immediately setting in.
Your face was heating up, in embarrassment and anger. You took a few steps back in shock as well. You wanted to yell at him, tell him that you’d become friends with your potions partner recently, that he wouldn’t know that, because he’d been acting like an arse with his head stuck up in it, but you didn’t. You didn’t want to fight. You took a deep breath.
‘Count to ten, Y/N.’
James opened his mouth and closed it again, no words coming out, still shocked at himself. He felt like he was in a daze, that this was a bad dream.
The silence was too much, the tension too high. He half expected you to reach out and slap him across the face, but also knew you wouldn’t. So instead he stood there frozen, awaiting your reaction.
James could feel blood rushing in his ears before you finally broke the silence.
“That’s not how a relationship works for me,” you repeated calmly but firmly, completely disregarding his insult. This time however, you emphasized the last two added words.
James seemed to sober up alarmingly fast at that. He shot up in panic and shook his head in denial. “No, I didn’t mean that. I didn’t mean any of it! I’m not embarrassed of you, Darling. I’m not, I promise,” he tried, finally finding the words.
He looked at you pleadingly and watched helplessly as you pulled a hand through your hair in a distressed manner, jerking away from him when he reached out to you.
It was quiet again in the room. The only sounds your heavy breathing.
“It’s not working for me.” You eventually whispered, hurt evident in your voice at your sad realisation. You said it more to yourself than to him, but his ears caught it anyway.
James’ heart skipped in fear. The implication of your words were crystal clear to him. It smacked him in square the face and had him physically reel back. He stumbled back into the nearest wall. It hadn’t even occurred to him that you two breaking up was ever a possibility. You were madly in love with each other. And he loved you so incredibly much, you knew that, right? He felt nauseous.
You didn’t spare him another glance and stumbled away, desperate to get away from him. James’ knees buckled and he sunk to the floor, shock keeping the tears at bay for now.
Everything was really not fine.
“Prongs! Welcome back mate, I heard you’re a free man again!” Sirius greeted James with a cheer and a slap on the back when entered the common room. Sirius was wearing a big grin on his face.
James jerked away and furiously shook his head. “No, she- we haven’t broke up,” He insisted. “We had a fight b-but, we never officially said we were done, so we’re still- she’s still my girlfriend. So don’t say that, it's not true-“
Sirius noticed how distraught James actually was about the situation and the grin abruptly fell off his face, making space for concern. He put his hand on James shoulder in an attempt to comfort him. He threw a look at Peter and Remus who looked taken aback by his defensive tone, also looking concerned.
“Okay,” Sirius nodded. “She’s still your girl, Prongs. Understood.” James nodded back and then shook Sirius’ arm off his shoulder and went upstairs to their room, plopping down on his bed, smothering his head in his pillow where he could finally cry.
You took the train and left Hogwarts that very same day. You called your dad and he promised to come pick you up at the platform. When you saw him, the only one on the platform so late in the evening, you ran up to him and he held you tightly. “Come on, sweetheart,” he nodded in appreciation at the elf who brought your luggage and brought you home.
You sighed and plopped on your bed, face first into the mattress. Exhaustion downing on you all at once and you fell asleep within minutes.
Your mother knocked on the door, knowing that that sufficed as you were a light sleeper. “Honey?” She called. “I know it’s late, but I think you should eat something nonetheless.” You made a noise.
“That mean I can come in?”
You lift you head up so you could say yes and she came in with a bowl of soup. You gratefully accepted it and she took the liberty of sitting next to you.
“You want to tell me about it?”
“Not really,” you admitted and your mother gave you and understanding look. “Then we’ll keep you distracted for now. In fact, the day after tomorrow, your father and I are having dinner with the Black family. You could come with us.”
“But it’ll just be all business talk,” you groaned, placing your bowl of soup on your night stand.
“Yeah, well you know the Black family is the main investor in your father’s business, business talk is unavoidable. But you know what, it wouldn’t be just business. They said that they would love to meet you.”
‘Doubtful,’ you thought.
“I’ll think about it.” You replied.
“That’s okay, you have another day to consider it.” And with that, your mother kissed your forehead before leaving your room, taking the empty bowl with her. “Goodnight honey,” she said before closing the door gently. ‘Sirius was always spending his holidays at Hogwarts, so it’d be safe to go,’ you considered.
‘So the fates are really into proving me wrong, lately huh,” you thought to yourself as you spotted Sirius with a scowl on his face, standing with his parents in front of their manor to great you.
And so, before you know it, you were sitting at the end of the ridiculously long table, in front of Sirius. You wondered where his younger brother Regulus was. “Let the children sit together, business is boring to them anyways,” you father had said.
Though he hadn’t been wrong, you would pay to be part of the adult talks rather than sit here in awkward silence, avoiding Sirius’ eyes.
The past three days had been a rollercoaster for Sirius. First, he had been mildly annoyed at the letter that came with an owl that belonged to his mother. Then, he had been absolutely dreading going home. He also felt bad and concerned for James, because he was being a sad pile of bones. And when he saw you, surprise and guilt seeped in. A real rollercoaster.
Sirius kept staring intensely at you. Finally, you’ve had enough and you snapped at him. “What do you want.”
“I need to talk to you, privately.”
“Why would I talk with my ex's best friend? We have nothing to talk about, and I’d rather die than be in a room alone with an arsehole like you.”
“You’re not his ex.” He pointed out.
You raised your eyebrows at his words, inquiring him to explain himself.
“You’re not- You two are still together. I mean, you never officially said it was over. You’re still his girlfriend, he’s still your boyfriend. James is still holding on to that.” Sirius searched your face for reactions to that confession but found nothing.
“Fine, I guess I’ll just officially send him an owl then,” you replied dryly, done with his crap. You threw your napkin on the table and got up. You excused yourself, thanked Sirius’ mother for the food and walked out of the room. So much for this being a distraction from James.
“Wait, Y/N!” Sirius yelled out as he chased after you. You kept walking, neither slowing down, nor speeding up, as you walked in the direction of your house, despite knowing that it was an hour drive by car.
A heavy silence hung between you two as he walked next to you, both staring out in front of yourselves.
“It’s my fault.”
Now this made you look up at Sirius. You eyed him up and down sceptically, coming to a stop. “Don’t give yourself so much credit, Black. You’re definitely not my favourite person on this planet, but despite you talents at DADA, last I checked, you can’t cast the Imperio curse yet.” Sirius refrained from grinning at your retort.
“So unless you’re telling me that you’ve been using the polyjuice potion and posing as James Potter who has been a massive twat of a boyfriend for over a month, I highly doubt it’s your fault.” With that, you continued walking again.
“No, and no. You’re right, I guess.”
“I am.”
Sirius gave you a look and tried again. “Look, he was just all over you. And maybe I had to get used to Prongs being a taken guy, all mushy, but we all missed him. So I teased him a little,” he explained but hesitated at the end.
“You teased him a little,” you flatly repeated. “You teased him and it turned him into an asshole?”
“It was just a bunch of guys laughing about our whipped friend,” he paused. “Okay and some complaining,” he admitted. “I didn’t know he would straight up go to avoiding you because he was embarrassed to show affection in front of us though.”
You massaged your temples. “Okay first of all, you suck and you’re a shitty friend.” Sirius pulled a face. “Eh, deserved,” he scratched the back of his head.
“But my point still stands. James chose to lie to me by making up excuses to not have to be around me.” You huffed in frustration. “I’m not... I’ve never been in a relationship before, but I’m pretty sure that’s like, rule number one of things not to do.” You kicked against a pebble on the road.
“And then he goes and says horrible stuff about me behind my back. That’s probably rule number two,” you added, a frown on your face at the recollection of events.
“But if that wasn’t enough, he didn’t listen to me when I told him how I felt about it and instead yelled at me, trying to shift the blame on me, as if it’s my fault that I overheard you guys. Oh and also, he insulted me again! Though, in my face this time, I’ve got to give him that.” You mumbled the last part bitterly and looked back up at Sirius who awkwardly looked at his feet while listening to you rant.
“So no, Sirius. You were a shitty friend, but by no means the cause of our break up. That’s on James.”
“Please, you don’t understand,” Sirius pleaded again. “James is miserable alright? As in he’s kind of being pathetic right now, he refuses to believe you guys broke up. He keeps insisting that you’re still together, that he still has a chance to make up to you.”
It was your turn to look at your feet. Sirius continued. It was his turn to talk now and he felt he needed to help his friend. “He loves you so much. He really misses you.”
You wryly smiled at Sirius. “He tell you to say that?”
“No. Well, not explicitly.” Sirius patted his back pockets and fished a crumpled envelope out of it. He handed it over. When you opened it, you found a folded piece of paper that simply said ‘I am so sorry. I miss you and I love you so much.’ In James’ handwriting. You sighed.
“Look, I’m just trying to help my git of a friend who is madly, hopelessly in love with you. And I’m trying to make things right between you two because I am partially at fault. And I know you love him. He’s just being an big idiot.”
“Try ginormous.”
Sirius now openly grinned. Okay maybe you weren’t so bad after all.
“Will you please talk to him? I’m sure he will apologize because he regrets everything. I know he does. And if you decide you don’t want to be in a relationship anymore, you tell him. Just not by sending an owl right now before talking one more time, please.”
A car sounded its horns behind you and you turned around to see your mother and father. The car stopped next to you and the door opened. You turned to look at Sirius again. “Will you see James before I do?” You asked. Sirius nodded.
You handed him the envelope back. He hesitated to accept it. “Give him this. Don’t worry, I’m not breaking up with my boyfriend. I’ll talk to him at Hogwarts.” You reassured him.
Relieved at your words, Sirius took the envelope and you gave him a thumbs up. “You’re not so bad, Black,” you said as you got in the car.
“Back at you!” He called after you. He watched your car drive off.
He checked inside the envelope and found the folded piece of paper. When he unfolded it, he found a uno reverse card stuck in between.
James was nervous. He impatiently paced around on platform 9¾, having arrived there way too early. Sirius had moved in with him over the holidays, running away from home and had brought a certain envelope with him. James heart had leaped when he found your card, putting it carefully under his pillow at night, carrying it in his pocket during the day.
“Merlin, Prongs would you just stand still,” Sirius commented from where he sat, leaning against a wall, cigarette twirling between his fingers.
“I can’t, Padfoot. This is literally the moment that will define the rest of my life!” James exclaimed dramatically, but walked over to Sirius and plopped down next to him anyways, mimicking Sirius’ action by twirling the game card around.
“Mate, you’ll be fine. She literally let you know she loved you too.” He nodded at the object James’ hands.
“But what if she loves me, but realised that she wants to be with someone who hasn’t acted like a stupid idiot?” James’ heart was racing at the thought. He’d spent the entire first week wallowing misery.
Other students started to arrive at the platform and James got back up to start pacing around again.
You softly pushed him away and immediately, the stream of self-deprecating words, apologies and other rambles flowed out of James’ mouth. You pecked his lips again to shush him.
You spotted each other at the same time. You offered him a hesitant smile but it was enough for James to take off in a sprint towards you.
He stopped in in front of you, unsure and apologies ready on the tip of his tongue. Someone called your name behind you and you looked back to see Wylan.
Turning to face James again, you offered him a fond expression and tiptoed to press a peck to his lips. James immediately responded to the kiss and he sighed in relief, shoulders less tense.
“We’ll talk later, okay?”
No, not okay, he wanted to say but you cut him to it.
“I’ve got a friend waiting for me,” you beamed up at him in pride and he melted at the sight. “Okay,” he relented, making a mental note to tell Remus and Peter to apologize to you too.
“You’ll let me know when you have time?” He asked.
“I’ll make time for you,” you assured him. “We’ll talk after supper, if you don’t have any plans of course,” you teased.
James shook his head laughing. “I won’t,” He replied earnestly.
“You don’t know that! Like what if a famous Quidditch player wants to meet you after supper, huh? Then what?” You challenged him. He shrugged.
“I’ll reschedule.” He grinned.
You shake your head and leaned in to press a kiss to his cheek. He watched you head in the direction of your Ravenclaw friend who had his back turned to you and walked back to Sirius.
“Wylan!” You skipped over and slung an arm around him, ruffling his already messy hair. He looked up as if he’d been caught doing something wrong and relaxed with a smile when he saw it was just you. You laughed at his skittish behaviour. “So how was your holiday?”
“I actually got a book on alchemy for Christmas. I brought it with me, thought maybe you’d help me?” He asked nervously, a bit embarrassed at his request.
“Oh none of that,” you waved your hand at his antics. “I’ve been helping you with dyslexia for a while now, of course I’ll help!” He offered you a grateful smile.
“You have it with you now?”
Wylan nodded and pulled out a ridiculously heavy book. You whistled. “Better get started on that right away, huh. We should find a seat.”
You two moved to get on the Hogwarts Express, but before you disappeared inside, you looked back at James to see he did the same thing. You exchanged smiles, he dramatically made a deep bow and mouthed ‘milady’. Then he turned around and pumped his fist in the air, grinning from ear to ear.
Sirius patted James on the back when he returned. “See, nothing to worry about. Right back to snogging your girl,” he laughed out loud, but no malicious intent this time.
“Still a long way to go, though,” James admitted, but he wore a fond smile on his face at the thought of you, all giddy inside. “But we’ll be alright, I think. I’ll be the best bloody boyfriend out there you know. You better get used to the snogging. And be nice to her, she really means a lot to me.”
Sirius pushed him. “I’ll have you know that we’re on extremely good terms now,” he exaggerated.
James snorted. “No, you’re not,” he immediately said.
Sirius grinned, having fun riling him up. “Why don’t you go ask her yourself, if you don’t believe me.”
James and Sirius walked towards their own compartment where they waited for Peter and Remus, arguing about it.
About two months later, Gryffindor had won the Quidditch match against Ravenclaw. You ran down the stands and up to James, jumping in his arms. He fiercely kissed you, his friends and teammates hollering at him.
“Good luck charm,” he cheekily mumbled against your lips while flipping the others off, earning laughter. When the celebratory party was finally over, and the marauders and you retreated to their dorm, James instantly pulled you onto his lap, locking you in with his arms wrapped around you so tightly that you wriggled to get some air. Jokingly, you tapped out three times in mock surrender.
“And the winner is...”, Sirius drumrolled. “James Potter!” Remus and Peter jokingly clapped and cheered.
“Means you can let her breathe now, Prongs.” You mouthed a thank you at Sirius.
James pouted, offended. “Since when are you two such good buddies,” He complained.
Sirius stuck his tongue out. “Wouldn’t you like to know, lover boy. I told you, Y/N and I are on extremely good terms now.” He winked at you.
“Thought you’d be more happy that your girlfriend and brother could get along. I mean, figured it won’t be long until she becomes my sister-in-law.”

For the GIF game, requesting something with 141 and a shorter reader or character. 🥹
"If you go in there I'm going to have to follow," Ghost answers over his comms as you glance back at him.
"Good luck catching up."
You smirk with a small little wave from over the edge of the roof, peering down at the team scattered about the compound. Ghost is standing right out in the open glaring up at you from behind his sunglasses, you don't have to see his eyes to know they're narrowed. And pissed.
"Lass, if you don't come back down from there we're going to have bigger issues," comes Johnny's voice, full of exasperation but also a bit of amusement. "Ghost is going to just kick in the front door."
"I'm already here," you answer as you throw your body into the halligan you had swiped from the helo. The lock pops and you throw it away before prying the small maintenance hatch open. "And none of you brutes can wriggle in here anyway, even I'll have to crawl in this short space."
"Give me five minutes and I'll find a way to wriggle in...I'm quite flexible." Gaz taunts and you snort as you shirk off your vest.
Someone whistles over the comms and you glare off in a random direction not sure which of your boys it was.
"Mmm, while I would love to watch that," you cut off as you drop your legs down in the narrow entrance. "I don't think we've the time," you finish as you drop into a crouch, your voice echoing in the small space. "Now shush, I'm working."
The compound was covered with security, Konni all over the place monitoring for infiltration. You all had been watching for hours and couldn't find a single point of infiltration until Price shoved the blueprints at you to look over. The main building had an old maintenance hatch to access all the electrical and air systems.
Before anyone could tell you no you had taken off. Slipping under a cut fence, up over a trashcan then to the roof access ladder. There had been a flurry of yelling over the comms as you shimmied up and Ghost had nearly bit your head off when your foot slipped halfway.
"Sitrep," Price says after about three minutes of silence.
You don't answer as you roll over on your back, shifting a few times to center yourself and stare up at the mess of old wires. It's a disaster as you try to figure out which one to pull and not get zapped in the process. Prying the small, but lethal, knife open with your teeth you pull a few wires and press the blade to them.
"Red or black Johnny?" You ask in response as your eyes try to follow the trail.
"Always red Bonnie."
"Nighty night shitheads," you reply to yourself before swiping your blade through the bundle of wires.
The lights cut instantly and you hear the instant response of panic below you. You flip on your stomach and move toward the exit, slipping your blade away and pulling out your pistol from your thigh holster. You don't need it though. The moment the lights cut the team pushes in and you listen to the gunfire and shouts for a few moments before you drop out another hatch door.
Climbing down a few rungs of a ladder you see the team holding down an office while Price riffles through paperwork. You had come for intelligence.
"See? Not so bad," you say as you walk up to Ghost who is towering by the office door watching you. His hand is tight on his rifle and you grin up at him innocently as he looks down at you. "You need to trust me every now and then. Price did hire me for a reason."
Pushing up on your toes you grab him softly by the back of the neck, feeling the tension in his muscles as you pull. He doesn't resist, even if he could stand like an unmovable rock in the sea, and bends down a bit. You press a soft kiss over his lips, even with the mask on. You grin as he huffs a bit at the gesture, doing his best to still be aggravated with you for going off book.
"Got it," Price says as he walks out the door and stares down at you as well, eyes roving over the fact you are in a simple compression shirt and jeans. "Where's your gear?"
"On the roof. Tight quarters and all that."
"I should make you climb back up that tiny little hatch to go get it," Ghost growls as his eyes trace back up to where you had appeared from moments before.
"You just want to look at her arse as she goes back up," Gaz answers as he appears behind you, giving you a smart little swat on your behind. You tilt your head back up to look at him and swipe his hand away before he can get a better handful.
"I mean, I can if that's what you want," you answer slipping away from them to walk toward the ladder, careful to add an extra swish of your hips.
"I think we should let Gaz show us just how flexible he is," Johnny chimes as he grabs you around the waist to pull you back, lifting you a few inches from the ground as he tugs you possessively against him. As if displaying that you belonged pressed against one of them, crowded and protected by their bulk.
Between all of them, you were like their own little doll, short and oh so easy to toss around as they liked to show you.
It started simple, their display of size against yours. Picking you up and tossing you over their shoulders as a tease to rile you up for being easy to manipulate under their hands. Then they'd tug you in their laps during downtime wrapping their arms around you to rest their chins on your shoulder showing you just how well you fit, as if your short frame was made to mold against their broad bodies.
But one night your Captain, of all people, had taken it further. He snatched you up on your way back to your barracks and threw you into his bed. He prowled up your body as he taunted you about how perfectly sized you were for him to pin under him, teasing your body under his fingers. When you bit his shoulder to keep in your scream of pleasure as he fucked you he laughed, as if that had proved his point. Your mouth was in the perfect spot to keep quiet as he made you fall apart under him.
"If you want to watch Gaz squirm you only need to ask, Johnny," you tease pinching his bicep, "that's all I did...I'm sure I could ask him to do it again for us if you behave."
Despite the fact they all loomed over you, they were all wrapped around your finger and bent to your will without hesitation. And the way they all looked at one another with a smirk before back to you, you knew you were about to get your next request granted.

“Hey!” you hear the desperation in his voice even with the deafening wind. “Y/N!” he shouts when you don’t stop walking. “Will you just” – he pleads, the sound of his voice growing closer despite your quickening pace – “Just for one second, just” –
You feel his hand close around your arm and you whip your head around. Jake watches you with a grimace as the wind pummels his face. “What?” you ask aggressively.
Jake lets go of you and shrugs, spreading his arms to indicate that he hasn’t thought this far ahead. “We have to coexist, Y/N.”
“Great,” you respond. “Let’s do that.” You start walking again – briskly because the sky is darkening and your hair is starting to escape its bun and swipe violently at your face.
You hear him sighing just before a boom of thunder drowns out his approaching footsteps. He falls in step with you despite you trying to keep your distance. “We’re on the same team,” he says, loudly enough that you can hear him despite the howling wind.
You glance up at him distrustfully as he slows his pace to meet your gaze.
“Y/N,” he starts again.
“Don’t.” You shake your head, tearing your eyes away from his overgrowth of stubble, still walking.
“Look,” he says, taking a hold of your arm again to get your attention. “I know that you don’t need me,” he pauses, watching you steadily. “You don’t need me in your life.” He sighs, regret stealing over his features. “But you might still need me up there.” He points up at the rolling clouds overhead with the same hand that’s holding his helmet, because his other one is still firmly wrapped around your forearm.
You glare at him mutely. Jake Seresin might have been a shitty boyfriend, but he’s a hell of a pilot and you know that he’s right.
Jake lets out a resigned breath. “Wasn’t my idea. I never meant to see you again, babe.”
“Don’t call me that.”
“It’s temporary,” he says and you wonder if he’s referring to the mission you’ve both been called back for or him calling you ‘babe’.
“We should go inside,” you say stoically as the weather that’s put your training on hold for the day deteriorates further.
Jake nods, his eyes still lingering on yours, stalling. He takes a moment to run a hand through his hair, longer these days but no less obnoxiously becoming. “I’m sorry,” he whispers.
“Not now, Seresin,” you say flatly, starting for the hangar again. You feel the first drop of rain land on your forehead.
“Y/N,” he says.
You turn to see him standing there defeatedly, watching you with a miserable expression. You can tell that he’s still hurting and, despite utterly hating his guts, it isn’t easy to see him in pain. The year of distance has tempered your loathing, much to your dismay, and now you find yourself almost feeling sorry for the man. Almost. “Was there something else?” you ask, trying to keep your breathing steady as you meet his gaze.
He gives you a small smile. “Just that, it’s good to see you.”
You exhale sharply as his words send a jolt through your body. “It’s starting to rain,” you state, wavering on the spot while Jake stands perfectly still. Further down the flightline, the maintenance crews are retreating after having secured the last of the equipment before the storm.
Jake takes a step forward while you focus on remaining upright against the gusts of wind. But his growing proximity isn’t helping you feel steady on your feet.
You let him come right up to you before finally taking a step back. “I’m not getting caught out in this storm,” you say, retreating.
Jake glances up at the skies as though he’s welcoming the impending shower. “It’s just a bit of water,” he says as the rain starts coming down harder. “It’ll be over soon enough.”
But he knows as well as you do that you aren’t one to wait around, hoping that the storm will pass. You don’t have that kind of patience. “I can be civil,” you call, walking backward as the downpour intensifies.
Jake watches you through the heavy rain pelting the tarmac. You try to catch your breath as it washes over your face and trickles past the collar of your flight suit, soaking your undershirt. “Me too,” he responds.
You flex your hands, curling them into fists as your pace slows to a halt when you see that Jake isn’t budging. When he finally takes a step forward, you sigh, trying to summon the hatred you once felt toward him. Unfortunately, all you can muster is despair.
Jake is moving slowly, as though he’s half-expecting you to run, but the truth is, you can’t move a muscle because you’re entranced. It’s ridiculous how attractive he looks with rainwater dripping from his soaking hair. He approaches cautiously, his eyes meeting yours as he presses his lips together solemnly. “I let you down,” he says, his eyebrows converging as he frowns. “And I don’t deserve your forgiveness, I know that. I’m not expecting it.”
You clench your teeth to keep your mouth from trembling as your eyes well up. Finally, the pouring rain exhibits an advantage – masking your falling tears.
“But I need you to know that I am sorry,” he continues, his eyes searching your face. “I’m an idiot for ever letting you go.”
You lower your gaze, blinking through the water – whether it’s tears or rain is irrelevant at this point. Jake’s hands come up and he places them on your arms, so gently that you wouldn’t feel them if you weren’t watching them in action. You let out a shaky sigh as he takes another step forward and, when he presses his lips to the top of your head, you squeeze your eyes shut.
“God, I missed you,” he breathes as his mouth moves to your forehead.
You shake your head, lifting your face to grace him with a reproachful look. You’ve spent an entire year getting over him. Twelve months coping with the pain of losing your best friend. Three hundred and sixty-five days adjusting to his absence. And he has the nerve to tell you that he’s missed you? “Come on, Jake,” you say, not quite able to suppress the hint of malice in your tone. “Doesn’t look like this rain is going to be letting up anytime soon.”
Jake studies your face. “One day, maybe.”
You scoff. “Meanwhile, it’s getting uncomfortable.”
Jake smiles sadly. “I don’t mind it,” he says. “As long as I’m with you.”
You take a step back. “You’re not.”
“I know.”
You let out another frustrated sigh but you can’t seem to hold it together any longer. Dropping your helmet into the puddle at your feet, you break down in tears.
Immediately, Jake closes the gap between the two of you and takes your face in his hands, his eyes flitting between yours urgently despite the wall of rain between you. “Please don’t,” he begs, his face contorted as he tries to hold back tears of his own. “Please.” He rests his forehead over yours.
You push at him and back away. “Then stop!” you yell, your words barely audible over the pouring rain. “Stop making me hurt!”
Jake bows his head, running a hand over his face as his shoulders start to shake. When he glances up at you, his eyes are red and shining. “I can’t stop, Y/N,” he croaks, his voice breaking when he says your name. “I love you.”
You roll your eyes and let out a spiteful laugh but, when Jake steps forward again, cupping his hands around your cheeks, you bite into your bottom lip, falling silent.
“You might not need me anymore,” he says, “but I still need you. And I know that’s selfish, and I know that it’s never gonna happen, but I’m not gonna stand here and pretend to be okay. I’m not okay.”
You watch him solemnly, trying to subdue the trembling of your body. Whether it’s the rain or his words causing you to vibrate uncontrollably is anybody’s guess.
“I’m never getting over you,” he whispers, his lips hovering just over your mouth.
It’s taking all of your strength to hold back a sob; to keep from falling into his arms and letting him shelter you from the rain. Jake has always been an expert at testing your self-control. “We should go,” you mutter. “Before this storm gets any worse.”
Jake sighs over your lips. “It’s just rain, baby,” he whispers. “It’s always gonna pass.”
You close your eyes, feeling yourself submitting to his pull. “It’s getting cold,” you counter.
“I can warm you,” he breathes.
And suddenly, you’re letting out a whimper and grabbing a hold of his flight suit and drawing him impossibly close. At the same time, Jake lifts your face, finally locking his lips with yours. His kiss is so needy, so fevered that it’s making your head spin. His hands leave your face as he wraps his arms around your neck, moving further into you as your fingers clasp behind his back, squeezing him against your body.
You aren’t thinking about the past when his tongue is pushing urgently against your own. You aren’t thinking about the future when your palms travel up his chest, slipping up the wet skin of his neck until your hands are on his face, your fingers stroking the stubble on his jawline. The storm is far from over but perhaps you’ve got what it takes to ride it out.
Jake clutches your waist as he layers your mouth with kiss after kiss. “Oh, baby,” he mutters apologetically. “Baby, I swear I never meant to see you again.”

For piss kink I think it would be a good scenario to have Joel and reader staying at a hotel and having to share a bathroom. They get back from a night out and she has to go but unfortunately so does he. She sits on the toilet and goes while he aims in between her legs.
Shared Room
Joel Miller x F!Reader
Warnings: PISS KINK, 18+ ONLY
Your date weekends out with Joel are usually filled with great music on the road, drunken grinding on each other in a bar, and shared insatiable sex in the hotel room booked for the two of you.
Except this weekend, Joel’s truck needing maintenance on the side of the road for 4 hours, radio shorted out, the bars were packed with too many other drunk “just turned 21 year olds” barfing on one another, and hotel reservation canceled last minute for overbooking wasnt exactly the fun you had planned.
You’re exhausted, hungry, and above all, need to go relax in a private bathroom that didn’t involve the rest of the world going to shit around your day.
Joel ALSO was looking forward to it.
Now checked into a dingy motel, more drunk than you had intended because you were trying to have a good time and not get annoyed by the kids in the “oldies” club. You to stumble to the door, clutching the big lump of a man, desperate to make it in and to the toilet before you end up looking like a kid peeing herself.
Joel gave you one look, seeing the way you sway back and forth crossing your legs, and narrows his eyes. You narrow yours too, and peek his crotch and his little inward flinches, before back to his gaze. A moment of silent passes before he’s turning the key, and you’re both shoving passed the other barring into the hallway in the dark, punching around to find the bathroom door. Joel’s already unbuckling his pants but you luckily slide your skirt and panties down in one swift motion and sit your ass on the toilet in front of him.
“Fuck!” He shouts in defeat.
You smile triumphantly, but also in relief, as your liquids rush out of you with just the nick of time.
His eears twitch at the sound of your piss trickling into the toilet loudly, splashing the water and echoing the entire bathroom.
He doesn’t stop the frantic, now slightly angered, tearing of his jeans down. “Spread.”
You stare up at him with big eyes, unsure yet curious as your thighs part. He fists his slightly limp cock and aims it towards the narrow slit of the basin before sighing, and a rush of yellow urine shots from his slit down into the toilet.
“Hey!” You shout, but don’t dare move as your shared pee fills the toilet.
“Lift your shirt,” he says, grinning as he steadies himself.
You ball your top and grasp it between your teeth, revealing your breasts pressed tightly in your pull up bra.
You hum, watching him stand above with his cock in his hand, the stead rush of both of your filled bladders emptying together.
You try not to lick your lips at each twitch of his dick, slowly hardening under your gaze, leaning back to get a full appreciation of him.
He tugs up just a bit, and his jet of piss hits right on your exposed clit. “UFMM!” You gasp, nearly letting your shirt slip from your teeth, startled at the warm pelt of his hot urine splattering on your little nub just perfectly.
“Ahhh, that’s the spot, ain’t it?”
You nod, eyelids feeling heavy from the relentless pleasure stimulating your clit. He hears the stuttering of your piss start and stop, affected now by your little throbs of your cunt.
Joel pumps his cock and tilts his stream up to now splash all over your belly before forcing the last shot of piss between your tits. Before you could protest, Joel yanks his shirt off and shimmies out of his pants entirely.
“Get in the shower and clean your little tits off, or I’ll make you suck my cock clean since you wanna be a selfish little piss bitch.”

Eevee!Ingo and Emmet evolve into Sylveons instead of Espeon/Umbreon because of Reader trying to hide it since they haven't confessed yet.
Awwww!! I suppose this would be like a childhood friends to lovers deal if they’re eevees <3
🍓🍓🍓
It’s the night after prom that it happens. You’ve since fallen asleep, still half dressed in your prom clothes, sprawled out on the various pillows and blankets. Flanking you are Ingo and Emmet, cuddled close as can be, because just before your untimely slumber, you had been stroking their ears and dragging your nails along their scalps to fluff up their hair. And your hands still reside on their heads, careful cradles that feel so very safe to the struck twins.
The night is quiet, save your soft snores and sleepy murmurs. Ingo can feel your heart’s gentle beat beneath his curled hand, his face squished against your shoulder and chest. He gazes up at you with such affection, such awe to see you, as though your presence was of divine influence. Mesmerized, he watches you sleep, body aching for him to follow you, but mind too active with daydreams and longing to allow him such rest.
Emmet is in a similar state. He curls around your stomach, head rested on the plush softness while his arms hold you against him not unlike a toy. His head rises and falls somewhat with the tempo of your breathing. It’s uncomfortable, the press of his half discarded suit, the twist of his spine, the way his neck stretches with each of your inhales, but he doesn’t move. He can bring himself to move away for a moment, to let you escape his grasp, to lose your warmth.
It’s a quiet night, left basking in love unexpressed.
Your nose wrinkles, Ingo notices. Your body tenses beneath Emmet’s cheek. You huff, hum, stretching your legs and adjusting your position to get more comfortable. Your hands twitch, curling into the choppy hair of each twin. Their eyes pinch closed at the sensation of your loving touch, subconsciously unconscious as it is.
And in that moment, the room alights with colors.
You jerk awake with a snort of confusion, blinded by the flashbang that has exploded. There’s a mess of frantic noises, bumps and thumps and frightened, clipped cries of your friends.
“Guys?!” You call, panicked. You’re not sure what’s happening, still rubbing sand from your eyes. “Ingo?? Emmet?? Where are you?”
“Nowhere!” Emmet shouts, followed by a loud smack and a yelp. You rub your eyes some more, blinking away sunspots. “Do not get up! Go back to sleep!”
“Everything’s alright!” Ingo says. You peer around, following the sound of shuffling and such towards the couch shoved into the corner to make room for the cuddle pile. “Don’t worry yourself! Emmet and I are doing a bit of maintenance! Go back to sleep, we will be fine!”
You climb to your knees, crawling towards the couch. You can see the soft shadows from the moon’s light casting strange figures onto the wall next to the couch. It worries you.
“Did something happen?” You ask, knelt before the couch. More shuffling is what answers you. “Are you two alright? Are you hurt?” You pause, and glance at the shadows again, eyes wide. “Wait, did you two evolve!?”
“No!” Emmet squeaks, but the guilt it carries exposes the lie.
“Guys!” You say, grabbing the couch to shake it some in your excitement. “That’s great! Congratulations! What evo are you both? Umbreon?”
A heavy silence hangs.
“No.” Ingo whispers. You’re shocked to hear him so quiet.
“Oh!” You say, thinking again. “Espeon?”
That would be strange, considering the time, but evolutions have always been strange. And nothing is ever certain.
Emmet whines. “No.”
Neither? You puzzle over it, confused as to why neither happened. Obviously they evolved, and you had heard them discussing the pros and cons of Umbreon versus Espeon should this day ever come. Now that it’s here, however, you’re sad to see them hiding away, no doubt upset they didn’t get either.
But if not those two, then. . .
You blush to yourself, but shake off the assumption. “Sylveon?”
A sob answers you.
No longer concerned about privacy, you scramble to your feet, shoving the couch aside to reveal your poor boys.
They’re beautiful, with their pink ears, decorated with bows, with the ribbons that cascade from them. They seem to sparkle in the moonlight, but you can’t focus on that now.
Ingo has curled into a ball, sobbing into his knees as he tries to cover his new ears and ribbons with his hands, to no avail. Emmet is tucked up next to him, eyes pinched shut as he shakes and tries to pull his shirt over his own ears.
Your beautiful boys, so distraught.
They easily fall into your grasping arms, clinging and whimpering as they pull you to them. Ingo cries into your shoulder, hiding his face, as Emmet presses to your heart. You pet their hair, hushing the sobs and apologies they spew.
“Shh,” you whisper as Ingo hiccups, “you’re okay. I’ve got you. I’m not going anywhere.”
“Yes, you will.” Emmet whines, rubbing his face into your chest. “You know now. You’re gonna leave.”
“This wasn’t what we planned.” Ingo continues, before you can ask anything. “We wanted. . . We wanted it to be romantic. Beautiful! Because we wanted you to feel special. You make us feel special, and so loved, and we love you! We want you to feel how you make us feel, yet now we’re here! We evolved early and now you know and-”
You kiss his head. Ingo falls silent, eyes wide as he paws at the fabric of your rumbled prom clothes. You kiss his head, kiss his temple, then turn to kiss Emmet on the nose when he looks up at you. Then you kiss his forehead.
And you kiss them, careful pecks upon their heads, their new ears, the tips of the feelers they now have. You kiss them, until you’re intertwined with them, never to ever leave.
🍓🍓🍓
I love them! I love them!!
Hope you enjoyed!

A little blurb I came up with in honor of our High Lady’s birthday and the winter solstice. This is modern!eddie x reader who seem to bump heads when it comes to their respective fantasy series: Lord of the Rings & A Court of Thorns and Roses. Thank you to @big-ope-vibes and @fracturedarkness for reading this over for me 💖
Words: 733
Tumblr media
Dustin lets himself into your apartment as he always does. One of the very first things you and Eddie learned when you’d moved in was to make sure the front door is locked if you didn’t want hordes of teenagers just busting in at all times of the day.
“I can’t believe you think that’s better!”
Dustin hears Eddie shout from your shared bedroom and the younger man sinks down into a kitchen chair with a groan. Maybe he could make an escape before either of you noticed he was there. It’s not like you could have heard him come in over the volume of your argument.
“God damn it, not this again,” Dustin mumbles to himself as he stands up.
He isn’t quick enough though. Eddie stomps out of the bedroom, you hot on his heels. You notice Dustin before your boyfriend does and throw him a quick, semi-forced smile before turning your attention back to your boyfriend. Eddie gives him a nod in greeting before your reply.
“You have no taste! Arwen sounds like the name of a hotel maintenance repair guy! My daughter will not have that name.”
Eddie scoffs and shakes his head.
“And what, your top pick is so much better?” Eddie spits out.
“Yes!”
Eddie lets out a humorless laugh. He closes his eyes and pinches the bridge of his nose.
“Yet you say I’m the one with no taste?” he asks.
“Feyre is a beautiful name! What’s wrong with it?”
Eddie pulls out the old, worn blue chair that’s across the table from Dustin and plops down into it. He looks imploringly at one of his best friends, not even sure what he’s asking for. Backup? Agreement? Would either make a difference?
“What about Galadriel?” Eddie asks. “We’ll call her ‘Gal.’”
“That’s worse than Arwen!” you tell him as you walk to the fridge and grab a drink. Eddie opens his mouth to speak but you hold up a hand before he can get the words out. “If you say ‘Éowyn’ I swear to God you’re sleeping on the couch tonight.”
Dustin rolls his eyes as Eddie stands up again, taking a few steps closer to you.
“Éowyn sounds like that other name you suggested!” he argues.
“Amren?” you ask. Eddie nods and you shake your head. “They are entirely different names. And I think I’ve given you some great options.”
“Haven’t heard a good one yet,” Eddie says as he crosses his arms over his chest.
One hand slams your drink down before it rests on your hip while the other you hold up in front of your face so you can count off the names on your fingers.
“Morrigan, Nesta, Elain!”
“Uh, you know,” Dustin pipes up as he begins to stand, “Elain sounds pretty reasonable.”
“Gimme a second, Dustin,” Eddie says, waving a dismissive hand at his buddy. The shorter man just rolls his eyes and plops back down in his seat.
“Samwise!” Eddie hurls at you, upping his volume. “It could work for a boy or a girl! Call them Sam.”
“If we’re going with that, we might as well go with Rhysand! Call him Rhys!” you shout back.
“I see we’ve moved on to boys now…” Dustin mumbles to himself.
“Legolas!” Eddie barks.
“Cassian!” you snap back.
“Aragorn.”
“Azriel.”
“Boromir.”
“Lucien.”
Eddie smirks and you narrow your eyes at him suspiciously.
“What about Tam—”
“You shut your damn mouth,” you hiss, pointing a finger at him.
Eddie scoffs and opens his mouth, but before he can say anything, Dustin stands up, emanating a deep groan.
“You guys!” he yells, louder than both of you had been. It catches your attention and you and Eddie look over at him. “Will you two stop arguing over these names? Holy shit. You’re not even pregnant—you’re not having a baby! God damn it.”
Dustin shakes his head and walks towards the front door, clearly exasperated from just being in your home a few minutes.
“Maybe I’ll come back after you do have a kid and all this bullshit will be over,” he mumbles as he walks outside. The door reverberates as he slams it shut behind him.
A moment passes before you and Eddie tear your eyes from the door to meet each other’s gaze. Your boyfriend arches an eyebrow at you.
“So, the name Dustin is a no go?” he asks.
“A definite no.”

In Which Helix Loses His Godsdamned Temper
A gift for my dear friend @themonopolyhat, who wanted to know how the swivel chair race briefly mentioned in Chapter 11 of like lightning changing hands went down <3
Helix and sleep are passing acquaintances at best.
Not enemies, no- he's not a fool. He's a good medic. He knows sleep is important. Even for the clones, who were conditioned to function on half as much sleep as a human nat-born- toxic byproducts need to be processed. New neural pathways need to be formed. Memories need to be filed away. So of course he makes time for it. He most certainly doesn't need Needle coaxing him away from his desk or switching out his stims or shoving him down onto a cot and sitting on him until he passes out- no matter how much the younger medic might protest otherwise-
But. His point.
He makes room for it. Their moments of true downtime are few and far between, but Helix always makes sure to squeeze in a treasured nap or two when he gets the chance.
Which is why, when he's rudely awoken by shouting outside the medbay door that is not immediately followed by the reveal of some horrific injury, Helix decides he's well overdue to rain hellfire down on whatever hapless idiots decided to work out their post-campaign jitters right outside his fucking medbay.
He pulls the pillow off his head, rolls to his feet, and stalks towards the door, carefully selecting his most threatening expression and arranging it appropriately.
When the door slides open, he inhales-
And then lets the air out again in a slightly anticlimactic whoosh when he comes face to face with an empty hallway.
Feeling immensely irritated, he steps out of the doorway and glances to the left and right.
Where-?
The noise is barely a ripple at the back of his mind, at first. Almost indistinguishable from the ever-present rumbling of the engines.
Then it very quickly overtakes it.
Helix, operating solely on well-honed instinct, flattens himself against the wall just in time for a blur of motion to careen around the corner. They slow as they hit the curve, just enough for him to make out-
Oh, for fuck's sake.
Auks, on the swivel chair, gripping both edges with white-knuckled hands- Wooley, hands on the back of the chair, moving at a dead sprint-
Auks' gaze flickers up just enough to catch Helix's eyes, wild glee melting into a pants-pissing terror. They disappear around the next corner, and Helix indulges in a mental pat on the back when he hears Auks' distant shriek of-
"Go faster!"
Right.
He lets them go. He'll catch up with them later.
After a moment's consideration, he steps into the middle of the hallway, studying the water stain on the ceiling with all the appearance of sincere diligence.
The distant rumbling grows louder.
Hm. He should think about filing a work order with Maintenance.
Underneath, now, the sound of footsteps-
They don't want to let that pipe burst, after all.
"OhshitohfuckCOVER-"
He doesn't move.
A screeching noise, an even louder scream-
A tangle of limbs tumbles past his left, slamming into the corner with a force that Helix deliberately doesn't wince at.
Longshot is the first to sit up, carefully disentangling himself from the pathetic remains of the chair. He doesn't look at all frightened when he looks up at Helix.
Just resigned.
"In my defense," he says, rolling his shoulder assessingly, "I told them this location was a bad idea."
"It was," Helix agrees, poisonously sweet.
Gearshift is the next to emerge, clutching at his face. Longshot pats him on the back. "All good?"
Faintly muffled, slightly more stuffy-
"You broke my nose!"
"I broke your nose?"
"You!" Gearshift amends, pointing at Helix, the effect of his glare somewhat lessened by the blood pouring between his fingers. "What were you thinking?"
"Standing in the hallway?"
"Y-"
Gearshift falters.
Helix smiles at him.
"Do you know how big this ship is, Gearshift?" he says mildly.
"Pretty big, sir," Gearshift mutters.
"Do you know how often I have time to nap?"
"Probably not very often, sir."
"Do you know how loud you idiots were?"
"No, sir."
"This was the third round, though," Longshot adds blithely. "Can't have been too bad if you slept through the other two-"
"Shut your mouth," Helix says pleasantly. "Where are the others?"
Longshot points.
"Right," Helix says, already running through his death-be-upon-you-if-you-try-this-banthashit-again speech in the back of his mind. He jabs a finger at Gearshift. "Stay here. I want to take a look at your nose when I get- stop tilting your head back, do you want to asphyxiate on your own blood? I'll be right back."
He stalks off without waiting for an answer.
The others aren't far off. Two hallways down and Helix can already make out the cheerful chatter, rising alongside his blood pressure.
"-and Auks clocked in at three minutes on the dot, fastest lap yet," Waxer says cheerfully. Helix picks up his pace. "Right, Trapper, you're up- who's your partner?"
Trapper is, however, doomed to a life of loneliness, because it's at that precise moment that Helix rounds the corner and launches into a lecture that will be whispered about among the shinies for years to come.
"-swivel chairs! Fucking swivel chairs, I thought you were all supposed to be soldiers, not tubies running along the godsdamned catwalks-"
Trapper shrinks backwards, ducks his head, and his patient resignation drives Helix's ire to new heights-
"-had the entire ship to be suicidal in, but no, you had to plot out your fucking racecourse directly outside my fucking medbay when I was getting the first sleep I'd had in three days-"
Waxer scuffs his foot against the floor, looking like he's considering taking a step backward, and then thinks better of it-
"-slammed his head into the wall and broke his fucking nose, if he'd hit half an inch higher his brains would've spilled out like soup because you couldn't even think to use your fucking helmets-"
Boil seizes the opportunity when Helix is forced to stop for breath.
"We did have supervision," he points out. "Medical. So, you know- we got cleared-"
"Who," Helix grits out, "the fuck-"
The crowd pulls back like the tide, and Helix stares.
Stitch stares up at him from where he's perched on the edge of yet another swivel chair, white-faced.
Needle, holding onto the back, offers him a wave.
"Integrated supervision," he says cheerfully. "New management principle I heard about, thought we could give it a try-"
A muscle in Helix's jaw jumps.
"You two," he grits out, "with me. And the rest of you-" he snaps, at the rustle of a collective relieved sigh- "pull this banthashit again, and I'll deliver you to Grievous hog-tied on a platter- now, am I understood?"
At the affirmative murmurs, he turns on his heel and strides off, followed hurriedly by his two renegade medics.
The strained silence is broken only by two sets of footsteps for some time.
"Stitch," Helix says, after a moment, "get off the chair."
A pause. Then three sets of footsteps.
Then, so quiet Helix has to strain to hear it-
"Is Gearshift okay?"
Helix closes his eyes and forces a slow exhale out through his nose.
(His head is pounding.)
"Yeah," he says, making a conscious effort to gentle his voice. "Just a broken nose. No other trauma that I could tell. You deal with that when we get back, okay? Run him through the gauntlet. Use your best judgement."
"Okay, Helix."
The silence gains a certain obnoxious quality to it.
"And you," Helix says, considering-
Then it hits him.
"You can put that nutritional learning module to use," he decides. "Kitchens. Run through the new requisition forms with Terror. Help him rebuild a sustainable menu; the routine shipments got changed last week."
Needle does not appear half as peeved as Helix would like him to.
He catches Helix's glare and grins, irrepressibly sunny. "Will do, boss. Terror and I are friends, I like his company."
"Terror doesn't do friends."
"Mm, fair. We're nemeses, then. I think that's the closest thing he has."
Helix's glower darkens.
The rest of the walk back is silent.
They split when they reach the medbay. Stitch heads for Gearshift immediately- and Longshot, who, Helix notes with mild surprise, had stayed with him. Needle peels off for the kitchens, humming under his breath with a nonchalance that makes Helix want to deck him.
And Helix-
Helix heads for his office.
All inclination towards sleep has vanished. He grits his teeth, settles into his chair, rubs at his forehead-
He's sure there's some flimsiwork he can get ahead on.
Later:
After he realizes exactly why Stitch is skittering away from him at every turn-
After he sits him down and patiently explains that the absolute worst punishment he will ever receive- the punishment for the Fuck-Up Of All Fuck-Ups, the punishment if he is found to be unfit for medical work- will be being reassigned to a different unit-
After he sees their youngest primary off to bed, guilt still pulling his shoulders low and dragging at his steps-
Needle comes back.
The first Helix knows of this is when a knock at his office door rouses him from staring at the same page on his datapad that he has been for the past forty minutes.
"Come in," he mutters, and Needle pokes his head through the door.
"Hey, boss," he says, and steps in fully, carefully shutting the door behind him. "New menu's been filed. Double- and triple-checked."
"Mhm."
Needle settles into the chair and sets a cup Helix hadn't noticed him carrying onto his desk.
"Tea," he says quietly, in answer to Helix's questioning look. "Thought you might need it."
Helix grumbles something incoherent, but picks up the drink anyway.
The warmth seeps all the way up his arms, into his shoulders, and he relaxes quite against his will.
They sit in silence for a long moment.
"Things were getting tense in the training rooms," Needle says at last. "They were at each other's throats. Kamei had already dislocated Trigger's shoulder, and he didn't even seem sorry- you know how those two are."
Helix blinks. He does- and- that's right, they hadn't been there, had they?
"This was the first thing I could come up with. I should've thought of the helmets, you were right about that- I'm sorry I didn't. I just wanted to get them moving."
"And of course this was the first thing you thought of," Helix mutters. He sees Needle's expression twist briefly, and guiltily musters up a quirk of his lips. "Sounds like you."
Needle returns the smile, and then his gaze drops to his knees.
"I didn't know you were sleeping, either," he says eventually. "You- you don't usually. I should've checked, I know, I just figured- keeping the medbay on the route would make for easier access if someone did get injured."
Helix takes a sip of the tea.
It's not caf.
But it's-
Good.
"Sorry about that," Needle finishes lamely. His fingers twitch and flicker and jump before he stuffs his hands into the pockets of his scrubs.
Helix takes another sip- longer than he'd meant to, this time, and when he looks down he realizes he's nearly drained the cup.
His headache is easing.
"Longshot said that was the third round," he says at last. "How'd you two do on the others?"
Needle stares at him, uncomprehending, for one long moment-
Then a smile like the sun splits his face.
"Oh, knocked them out of orbit, boss."
"Good," Helix mutters. He stands, places the empty mug on the table, and stretches until he feels his back crack. "Right. I'm going to get some sleep, then. You got the shift?"
"Course I do," Needle says easily, and Helix squeezes his shoulder on his way out.
Stitch is sitting up when he emerges, ruffled hair and sleep-fogged eyes sending a pang through Helix's chest.
"Hey, kiddo," he says quietly. "Mind if I join you?"
Stitch squints at him. "Helix?" he says at last. "Needle said you needed to lie down."
"Oh, he did, did he?" Helix mutters, glancing back at the office door. He doesn't even bother to try mustering a glare.
"Uh-huh," Stitch hums, already slipping back into sleep. He curls onto his side and pats the empty space next to him. "Come on."
Helix kicks off his boots and obligingly settles under the blanket, and Stitch shuffles a bit closer and wraps an arm around his chest.
"Needle told me you two won," Helix murmurs.
"Yeah," Stitch says sleepily. A slow smile blooms across his face. "He can go pretty fast."
"Well," Helix sighs. "I guess that's okay, then."
As it turns out, sleep can come easily after all.

Minimum Wage
"And finally, it is worth to consider that the majority of those low-end jobs are being held by foreigners. Foreigners who took those jobs from our own people! Foreigners our country does more than enough for already. Any raise in minimum wage will just be spent on alcohol and cigarettes and condoms for their gay sex! Ladies and gentlemen, raising the minimum wage should be out of the question! We should think about lowering it instead!" Thomas finished his speech before the parliament and was content. Great speech, he thought. There was applause from one side of the room and angry shouting from the other side, just as usual.
Tumblr media
One of those pesky left-wing women was especially outraged. Her head was as red as her unkempt hair, and he could hear her agitated shouts even without her using a microphone. Something about having no idea about the reality of those minimum wage workers and that he should try experiencing such a life for himself. His microphone was still on, so he added: "And my suggestion to Miss Motley is to find a broomstick to fly away on instead of shouting nonsense." Laughter from his fraction, angry faces from the other side of the room. Great job, Thomas concluded and left the lectern.
That woman was being ridiculous. Even comparing himself to such a low-life was out of the question. He would never lower himself to something like that. That's why he had been working hard all these years, studying politics and economics in order to get into the government. It did help a bit that his family was wealthy, but that was clearly because they have lived in this country forever and weren't some immigrant scum or sexual deviants. Thomas thought for a moment while adjusting his expensive suit and looked at his smartphone. He didn't care too much for the rest of the parliamentary day. There would be some speeches from opposing fractions and then there would be a vote where the majority would vote in favor of the raised minimum wage. Fools. Thomas shook his head and decided to go home early today.
He gathered his things and phoned his driver on the way out. Thomas scowled when he heard the man say that his car was still in maintenance since he didn't expect to be needed before the end of the session. It was really hard to find good staff these days. It was too far to walk, so he would have to take a cab. While he was walking to the cab stand, he messaged his secretary to fire his driver and find him a new one.
"What do you mean 'on a strike?'" He asked, incredulously. There had been no cabs at the stand and when he phoned the company, they just told him the cab drivers were on a strike today for higher wages. Angrily, he hung up. Just great! He would have to take the bus now. The bus. A public transport system for the poor. He hated them with every fiber of his being. They stank like hell, they were full of criminals and immigrants who couldn't even speak the language properly, and worst of all, they were overcrowded.
Fuming, he made his way to the bus stop and entered the vehicle. It was full, but he managed to secure him one of the last seats. It would take quite a while going by bus, so the first minutes, Thomas was busy swiping on his phone. It was really full and warm in here, with the smell of sweat and unwashed people assaulting his nose. He felt really uncomfortable and shifted around in his seat. He wanted to get back to using his phone, when he noticed that there was dirt under his fingernails. No wonder in this dirty environment. When he tried to clean it, he noticed that the nails on his other hand didn't look better. In fact, his whole hand looked dirty and rough, like he had tried to dig a hole in the garden. He frowned and inspected it closer. The skin seemed different and not only that, it was darker. He looked down at his designer shoes and saw that they were covered in mud.
"What the..." He muttered to himself. This wasn't possible. He was wearing his best clothes, which cost more than most people earned in a year. He looked down at his hands again and realized that his rings were gone as well. What the hell? Where are my rings? He took off his jacket and checked inside the pockets but found nothing. His cellphone was missing too.
Thomas began to panic. Had someone stolen his stuff? That was impossible. He just used his phone seconds ago! And that wasn't his jacket either, even though he just took it off. This was a high-vis vest made out of cheap reflective fabric, not the expensive jacket he was sure to have put on this morning.
"What the fuck is happening?" He said aloud, but nobody answered. All he got was an annoyed glance from a woman behind him. She gave him a dirty look and turned her attention back to her phone, ignoring him completely. Thomas looked at his hands again. There was something wrong with them. It was like looking at a strangers hands. The back of his hands looked dirty and hairy, with more dirt under his nails. The skin was darker than he used to. If he just saw these hands, he would think they belonged to someone used to working outside.
He checked his feet again, like this was all a bad dream. Still covered in mud. But these were not his shoes, either. He was wearing sturdy work boots all of a sudden. With steel toe caps. The leather was torn in places, too. He could feel that the soles were worn thin, and the heels weren't exactly comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Just as he was watching, his expensive dress pants changed next. Over the course of a few seconds, they shifted to a pair of worn work pants. His shirt and tie followed suit, but instead of changing into something else, they just disappeared into thin air, leaving him shirtless. A large leather toolbelt formed around his waist. Thomas couldn't believe his eyes. He was dressed like a filthy construction worker! He felt angry and helpless. He should call the police or something, but what would he tell them? That somehow his clothes just magically turned into some cheap worker attire?
Something else caught his eye. His work pants were pretty lose. If he were to stand up now, they would probably slide down his legs. However, as Thomas began to tighten his toolbelt, he watched in awe as his midsection began to expand. It was not that he was growing a gut; on the contrary, his belly even started to shrink. No, his hips started to widen with a broader build and fill in with muscles. At the same time, some coarse dark hairs started to appear on his abs. Not many, just a few. The changes quickly spread upwards, with his chest filling up with strong pectoral muscles. At the same time, he felt his upper legs touch his pants legs more tightly, as they filled with muscles, too.
Thomas's mind was reeling. He knew that there must be a logical explanation for this situation. It couldn't just happen by itself like this! So why did it happened? He thought about it hard and fast but came up empty. Generally speaking, thinking became more and more difficult for Thomas. It felt as if years of precious education that his parents paid for just evaporated from his mind.
As Thomas continued to stare at his body, he realized that the changes were far from over. His arms grew larger and stronger, and his shoulders broadened with each passing second. At the same time, his lower legs and feet thickened, filling out the pants and boots now much better than before. Even his face changed, becoming more masculine and rugged. His cheekbones stood out more clearly and his nose widened. His mind was getting more and more foggy during all of this, and as the changes reached his cock, his intellect was reduced to a way more simple, practical version of himself.
He had lost most knowledge of his once native language, but another language grew in to replace that. With some horror, Thomas realized he wasn't just becoming a dumb construction worker, but also an immigrant! He tried to hold on to his ethnic background, but it was like trying to catch sand. Before long, Tomasz knew he had lost the battle.
It might not be for the worst, he mused. After all, his genetics gifted him with some boons, like the enormous cock whose bulge was now prominently visible between his wide spread legs. He would have liked to man-spread even wider, but sadly, the confines of the bus didn't allow for that. Perhaps, if he worked hard, someday he would earn enough money to be able to afford a car.
Well, speaking of work, his stop came up next. He would have to walk have a mile after that to get to his current construction site, but that's life. Tomasz smirked, as his dick grew hard thinking about his colleagues. Perhaps a few of the other men would be up to releasing some steam in the break, after a smoke and a beer perhaps. It slowly became a regular thing between them to pound each other’s asses, and he loved it more every day. If only he had enough money for condoms.

May I have a slightly strange request?  Raiden and Fujin's reaction to their crush suddenly saying "God save Johnny Cage" (the reader and Cage are friends and this phrase just escaped by chance and was not even intended for anyone in particular)
nonny, i promise you this is like the least strange thing i've had in my inbox lately
Fujin and Raiden React To Their Crush Saying "God Save Johnny Cage"
Tumblr media
It was like any other day in the Sky Temple, or, as normal as the Sky Temple could be. In the last few weeks, you'd been setting up your friendly neighbourhood Shinto deities with some more modern Earthrealm technology, the latest edition being a TV. It was nothing fancy, an old Goodmans 1408 that you had lying around. The real challange was hooking it up to modern channels. After some percussive maintenance, you tune the CRT TV to a talk show featuring Johnny Cage. The storm brothers gathered behind you, enchanted by the flickering screen you had brought to life for them. The interview itself was relatively dull, with Johnny being asked about his latest movie or suspected liasions with other Hollywood actors. It was until the interviewer mentioned one of Johnny's costars, an actor who'd been publicly outed as transgender, and asked if Johnny could ever work with the 'dirty, immoral liar' again. The three of you watch as Johnny begins to shout at the interviewer, screaming that they had no right to say that about his costar. The arguement continues until Johnny punches the interviewer across the jaw, before turning to the camera crew and live audience to speak about the importance of trans rights. But he could only get a few words in before the program cuts off, with a 'We Are Experiencing Technical Difficulties' message. The storm Gods share a look while you nod your head proudly. "God save Johnny Cage." you mutter. You didn't have time to think about the nuances of what you had said in front of the two Gods, but decided that it was more amusing to let them come to their own conclusions.
Tumblr media
Fujin
Recently Fujin had been building up the courage to reveal his feelings towards you. He was sure of how he felt but painfully unsure of how to go about it. He had asked his brother, Raiden, who was little help. He had even asked other Earthrealmers, although he did his best to hide your identity as the object of his affections.
Fujin knew one thing, that if he couldn't tell you, then he absolutely couldn't tell any of your friends, what if they stepped in? What if they said something to you that gave you a bad opinion of him? What if someone stole your heart first?
There were far too many ways it could all go terribly wrong. And now he was even more confused. "God save Johnny Cage", what did those words mean? Well he knew what they meant, but why would you say them?
Fujin was a god, did you want him to save Johnny? If that were the case, Johnny didn't seem to be in any danger. If you really cared that much about Johnny, maybe it's time Fujin confessed his feelings for you before it's too late.
When the two of you are alone, Fujin will drop to his knee dramatically, "I vow to protect Johnny Cage for you, because since the day we met, I have loved you, and I will do all in my power to make you happy, even if you love another."
Fujin emotionally braces, expecting rejection, but instead hears your delighted squeals as you wrap your arms around him, saying how you love him too, pressing soft kisses to his cheek.

Raiden
For the last few months, Raiden had been delicately calculating how to best start a relationship with you. Part of that was navigating how you felt about others, and if he had any competition to worry about.
From what he had seen, your relationship with Johnny Cage was platonic at best. But Johnny was also more experienced in courting techniques and had succeeded in gaining many partners over his short, mortal lifetime.
Raiden's heart sinks at the idea that perhaps Cage's charm had reached you through the television, ensnaring you enough to make you say "God save Johnny Cage".
He knew the meaning behind that saying, he wasn't a complete fool. To ask a god to save someone was a verbal decleration of your devotion to someone, your pride in them, how you wish their lives to be long and happy.
Weren't all those things the sum of love? Those were certainly all the things Raiden wished for you. For you to suddenly feel this way towards Cage... The only explaination was the TV, clearly a cursed device that you must be protected from.
Que Raiden launching the TV over the nearest balcony when you aren't looking, if you ask where it went, Raiden will feign ignorance and instead invite you for a walk in the gardens, offering his arm for you to take.

“Mingi I swear to God, if you don’t hurry the hell up-” You glance down at the shiny golden watch on your wrist and suck your teeth, “We’re going to be late!” You shout down the hall to your boyfriend.
You can hear him moving around in the apartment, taking his sweet ass time like his mother won’t chew your asses the moment you step out of the car. You love Momma Song, but that woman is deadly with her wooden spoon. Huffing in annoyance, you kick off your shoes and stomp into the apartment, ready to drag Mingi out the door by the ear if you must. Just as you make it to your shared bedroom, Mingi steps out with one hand wrapped around the door handle. You shout in surprise and Mingi giggles as he grabs you around the waist.
“Easy, baby. Don’t want to hurt yourself, hum?” Mingi stares down at you through a pair of brown glasses and you can feel your face heating up. From this angle you can clearly see the moles on his face. Mingi leans down and pecks your lips with a soft smile on his face, “Wanna take a picture?”
You suck your teeth and push Mingi away as he laughs. “Hurry the hell up! I’m not getting hit by your momma because you refuse to move faster!”
“I’ll protect you baby,” Mingi promises with a wink and you roll your eyes.
Pulling the bedroom door shut, Mingi grabs your hand and leads you down the hall to the front door. At the door, the two of you, put your shoes on and you fist the material of your white sweater dress as Mingi helps secure a pair of fluffy white earmuffs over your knotless box braids. Mingi helps you into your faux fur coat and pulls a thick white cardigan over his white turtleneck sweater.
Holding up his keys, Mingi smiles as he unlocks the door, “I already started the car and the seat warmers are on.”
“I love you,” You mutter with a shiver knowing that it is about to be freezing outside.
Mingi pulls open the door and all you see is a frozen sheet of white. You blink and Mingi frowns, “What the fuck?” He reaches out to poke at the snow and you snatch his hand.
“Aht! Haven’t you seen those videos online? Do not touch it and shut the door!”
Mingi shuts the door and rubs the back of his neck, “Um…looks like we’re snowed in.”
I’ll check my email. You should call your momma.”
Kicking off your boots, you paddle into the living room and plop down on the couch. As you scroll through your email, sure enough there is one from maintenance stating that your floor and a few others are snowed in due to a sudden ice storm and people are working on getting everyone’s doors unblocked. You can hear Mingi on the phone with his mother and you are so happy that you are not the one breaking the news to her. The party isn’t until two days from now but you were supposed to spend time together before the rest of the family showed up.
Hearing Mingi sigh, you watch as he comes into the living room, pulling the white beanie hat off his head. His hair is sticking up crazy and you smile. “Well since we’re stuck here until someone breaks us out maybe you could warm me up…?”
Mingi raises an eyebrow as you pluck your earmuffs off, toss them on the floor and peel your jacket off; flopping back on the couch and spreading your legs a little to give him a peak at the blue panties underneath your dress. Licking his lips, Mingi nods his head and shoves his cardigan off before he crosses his arms over his waist and pulls his turtleneck off right after. Standing at the edge of the couch in just his white slacks with his glasses skewed, you crook your finger and widen your eyes.
“Warm me up, daddy, please?”
Crawling onto the crouch, Mingi sits on his knees between your legs and grabs your ankle. You muffle as moan as he kisses his way up your leg and nibbles on the sensitive skin of your inner thigh. “I’ve wanted to fuck you since I saw this dress laying out on the bed.”
“Yeah?”
Mingi’s hands are warm, heating your exposed skin as he pushes your dress up to bunch at your waist. He says nothing as he peels your panties off and tosses them over his shoulder.
“Come on my tongue twice and I’ll give you a gift early.”
Your eyes brighten at the promise and you nod your head. Mingi chuckles and settles himself on his stomach between your legs before he dives in. Your back arches as his lips wrap around your clit. He sucks lightly, teasing the heated skin with his wet tongue.
“F-Fuck! Mingi daddy, please! W-Wanna come for you.”
“Take what I give you, baby.”
“Yes, d-daddy…” You throw your head back as Mingi continues to eat you out. His large hands, hold your hips down, stopping you from humping his face. So, you tangle your fingers in his hair, messing it up even more. Mingi hums against you and the vibrations ripple throughout your body. You can feel your pleasure building and you know it’s only a matter of time before you are tipping over the edge and falling into Mingi’s world. Sweat collects at your temples and you aren’t even worried about your edges. You can fix them later.
Your thighs clench around Mingi’s head and he’s slurping so loud, even as you cry his name, gushing into his greedy mouth. He doesn’t stop, sliding one hand downward to play with your swollen clit. It pushes you into your second release and Mingi hisses as he drowns in you.
“That’s a good girl. Give it to me, baby.”
You see stars at your vision spots and when Mingi pulls away you are both panting. He wipes his mouth with the back of his wrist and settles into your arms. He makes sure to keep his weight off you, cuddling into your side as you catch your breath. Your head hurts a little from the back to back release but you feel good. A gooey fog is blanketing your mind and the warmth of Mingi’s lips on your temple is grounding.
“It’s still early, baby. Nap and we can go again when you wake up.”
“What about you?”
“We have all day from the looks of it,” Mingi whispers as his hand starts to massage your thigh. You snuggle into his chest and kiss his Adam's apple. He laughs and hugs you, “Sleep.”

Raining Storm part 1
What’s that? AO3 shut down so no bedtime fics? (For those of us on/close to EST at least) Well fear not! Have a small groppy part one fic in the meantime! (Full disclaimer my writing is rusty 😅)
@tamagoneko gonna send the link on twitter but idk where you are online rn so this is a double check!
————————————
Branch knew he was a paranoid troll. He'd had more than enough public panic attacks to acknowledge it was a problem. But knowing you have a problem doesn't equate to fixing it, which was his current predicament. He already knew that a strong storm was going to blow in. The weather announcer called it, and he and the other trolls could sense it in the air even when there wasn't a cloud in sight. He checked to see if his Bunker openings were secure, checked his walls and floors for maintenance so the place wouldn't flood, checked his piping, his rations, and finally went on one final patrol to also remove or secure the traps he kept around the forest. Poppy had spotted him and tried to invite him to some party he couldn't remember and after a back and forth argument he finally convinced her to leave him alone. He also made sure to remind her to keep the party short because of the approaching storm but he wasn't sure if she paid attention. 'She could still be out there' a jolt of fear went down Branch's spine as he almost spilled the tea in his cup. A splash of it made it to his fingers holding the cup and he hissed in pain and put it promptly onto its coaster.
There was no way Poppy was still out there. While singing during a storm was something he could definitely see her doing she wasn't so reckless as to do it during a particularly bad one at night, right? He imagined what it would be like to see her as she sang during the thunderstorm. Something loud and fun maybe in time with the thunder. Even though the notion of her out there with a musical number was bizarre enough it made him crack a smile he still couldn't shake the fear to go up and check on things. Something. Maybe it was nothing?
Branch groaned in frustration and got off the couch. Clearly he wasn't going to be able to relax until he checked on things on the surface. He went over to the supplies room to grab a few items and weapons but on his way to one of his other entrance routes he saw his goggles on the table. He had recently made a new pair that could make things visible at night and yesterday a final touch of water proof sealant around the rims so as to not have them be damaged in water. 'No time like the present' Branch thought to himself as he grabbed the goggles and put them above his head. He pulled on a leaf poncho, double checked his supplies, then went through the hatch that led to another part of the forest. This was one of the ones he used when he just wanted to patrol the perimeter and it took less of a risk of getting found by other trolls. Thankfully Poppy seemed to only know his default entrance.
The wind howled and rain beat down mercilessly. Branch immediately put the goggles over his eyes and turned them on. He debated whether he should forgo the poncho to truly test the waterproof upgrade but ultimately decided to keep it on. At the end of the day he was out in the storm on a hunch. No need to go the extra mile. He checked a couple of traps that he already confirmed were secure with his list when he heard shouts in the distance. He swiveled his head around and his ears flickered to try and catch it. It sounded like a group of trolls. He went down on all fours to run across the forest and kept his ears open for the shouts. As he got closer to where they were he noticed it was on a cliffside. And it was Poppy's friend group. With no Poppy. He got up and ran to where they were and could hear their cries more distinctly.
"POPPY DON'T MOVE OKAY!"
"STAY PUT!"
"WE'RE GONNA RESCUE YOU OKAY?"
It sent a jolt of panic in Branch's body and he ran even faster towards them. "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!" Branch shouted over the raging winds.
The snack pack jolted at the sight of him in his poncho and illuminated goggles. "Oh Branch it's horrible!" Biggie exclaimed "We were trying to pack up when the storm hit and just as we were nearly done a gust took Mr. Dinkel's hat! We went after it and just as Poppy managed to grab it the cliff crumbled under her! There were supplies there too and now we think she's tangled in them because she's barely moved!"
Dread pooled in Branch's gut and he moved the snack pack out of the way to get a better view of the situation. With some moving of the goggle's lenses he managed to spot Poppy. She seemed to have her leg caught wrapped around some sort of rope with random misalliances that made it impossible to move.
"What's with the fashion faux pas?" Satin asked her sister as she gestured at Branch. Unfortunately for her Branch had very good hearing.
"Night vision goggles!" Branch responded indignantly. Seriously, did everything have to be a fashion statement?
"Lemme see!" Smidge made a grab for the goggles but Branch managed to keep her away from his face.
"Hold on!" He shouted as she continued to struggle, "I need to find a route to get down there!"
Smidge stood still for a second then nodded and let Branch back towards the cliff side.
He nodded in thanks and readjusted so he could see the edge and its surroundings. The water was obviously higher with the storm and it would probably only get higher and more dangerous. He ran against the cliff side and searched for a root that he could secure himself onto to get down there. The more he looked the more he realized that the fallen party supplies alongside the storm debris had created a dam that made the water rise higher. "Dammit," Branch whispered to himself as he tried to search for anything to help him get down there. If Poppy didn't die from this experience he was going to give her the lecture of a lifetime when this was all over. Who the hell risked their life over a worm's hat!?
He finally managed to spot a root a bit higher to where he needed to go but it was a gamble. And he unfortunately needed help. He gave a sharp whistle "SMIDGE!" she rushed over.
"FOUND SOMETHING?" She shouted over the wind. It had begun to pick up. They didn't have much time.
Branch took his goggles off and handed them to her. "THERE'S A ROOT DOWN THERE THAT I NEED YOU TO TAKE ME TO! ONCE I GET DOWN THERE I'LL MAKE MY WAY TO POPPY. THEN I'M GOING TO TRY AND CLIMB EITHER BACK TO THE ROOT OR SCALE THE WALL. I NEED YOU TO BE READY TO GRAB BOTH OF US. THE WATER'S RISING FAST!"
"GOT IT!" Smidge responded as she handed his goggles back to him. "TELL POPPY TO LIGHT HER HAIR WHEN YOU'RE READY OKAY?"
Branch nodded and turned to face her and the snack pack. "WHAT'S HE DOING!?" Creek shrieked as he watched Branch back up towards the cliff.
"WE NEED TO SAVE POPPY! WE'VE GOT THIS!" Smidge responded. She grabbed Branch by the waist with her hair and lowered him down as the rest of her friends held her to be careful of the edge. He made it close to the root and after he grabbed it he tugged on Smidge's hair to signal to her to let go. Once she let go he adjusted to support himself on the root before he wrapped his hair around and lowered himself down. He had to jump to make it down to the bottom but while the debris sank briefly it supported him well enough that he had yet to be swept away. As he tried to inch closer to where Poppy was he slipped in the water. It wasn't as fast as it was before as the debris began to collect more at the end of the clog but it still managed to sweep him and he threw off the poncho so he wouldn't struggle as much.
It was closer to summer than spring but the water was still shockingly cold for Branch. He swam through the water as his body adjusted to the surprise dip. He fought against the current but his arm smacked against some wood which would definitely bruise later. The pain stunned him but he made a grab for another piece of tree and he grabbed onto it as it thankfully held and pulled himself up out of the water. Yeah, lecture of a lifetime for Poppy for sure. And her friends. He balanced much more carefully this time "Poppy!" He called out and she turned to him in surprise.
He pulled the goggles off from over his eyes "Branch!? What are you doing here!?" She asked in surprise.
"Saving you apparently!" He chastised as he made his way over. The debris around him began to sink but there was enough surrounded around them that kept him from getting washed away again so he begrudgingly fell back into the water this time thigh deep. "Who the hell risks their life over a stupid hat anyways!?"
"It's not stupid!" Poppy squawked indignantly as Branch got closer. "Mr. Dinkels adores his hat! And how was I supposed to know the cliff was gonna collapse like that!? I wasn't even that close to the edge!" Technically she was very close to the cliff's edge, but the rest of the stuff that fell caught her off guard. She managed to grab at a root to stop her descent but when the supplies crashed onto her as well her hold on the root was ripped away from her as she fell.
"Why the hell were you even throwing a party by the cliff to begin with! Didn't I tell you there was going to be a storm later!?"
"Can we please save the lecture when we aren't in immediate danger!" Poppy yelled back exasperated. She was already done with this entire day.
As much as Branch would love to release all the stress she's given him onto her she was unfortunately right. "I'm going to go see what your leg is caught on okay? Just try not to fall in." He slipped his goggles back on and after he double checked the night vision was still on he took a deep breath and went back into the water.
At this point he had gotten more tolerant of the pre-summer river and carefully made his way down as he pulled out a hunting knife. He saw where the banner was tied to Poppy's foot and swam towards it. She thrashed for a second when he touched her but saw the goggles and tried to relax. Branch still dove back up "I can see where you and the banner are stuck." he announced as he gasped for air. "It's gonna take me a bit to cut though alright?"
"Right! Sorry Branch," Poppy responded with guilt for how she thrashed when he tried to help her.
"It's okay," Branch replied and even held her shoulder. "I'm gonna try to get you out of here. But don't move until I give you the all clear, I don't want you getting even more okay?"
The sincerity in his tone made Poppy choke up. As annoying as Branch could be sometimes he still risked his own life to rescue here. Since she didn't have any non soaked scrapbook material available she settled for a hug. Branch tensed for a moment but hesitantly wrapped his arms around her until he melted and firmly hugged her back. She wasn't sure if he hugged her back because she was scared or something but she didn't complain. Not when his hug felt so warm and secure. He pulled away and Poppy wrapped her arms around herself so she wouldn't chase his. "I'll be back okay?" Poppy nodded and Branched dived back in. Despite the fact she knew that Branch was next to her underwater and could literally feel him nudge her leg the fear and loneliness she felt before hand came back and she clung onto the thought of when Branch hugged her and wrapped her arms around herself even tighter to try and recreate the memory.
Branch for his part dove back in with a new found determination. He analyzed what parts of the banner were stuck on her leg, along side some sort of string party decoration. He pulled out his hunting knife and began to tear at the banner. Not like she'd be able to use it anymore anyways. The string ended up being vine which was a bit trickier but he sawed away at it until it cut. He shot up for air then went back in to cut the other side of things. After some detangling and more cutting he managed to completely free Poppy's leg and urged her to move as he broke for the surface.
"Okay, let's go." Branch pulled himself out of the water and turned to pull Poppy up as well. He grabbed her by her two arms and pulled her out. They fell on top of each other and the debris sank a bit but they managed not to get swept away. After he got up again Branch offered his hand to her and as she took it to get up, she hissed in pain and collapsed back down to rub at the ankle that was caught.
Branch immediately got down to check on it. Even after a feather-like touch Poppy hissed again in pain and shoved his hand away. When she realized what she did she looked extremely apologetic. "I'm sorry" she apologized, she was thankful the rain hid the fact she had tears that pooled and streamed down her eyes. This day just sucked.
"It's okay," Branch responded as he took a step back. "You might have sprained it during the fall but I'm not sure. Let's just focus on getting out of here. Is it okay if I carry you?"
Poppy blinked in surprise before she nodded and with her consent Branch picked her up and swung her on his back piggy back ride style. The motion made Poppy giggle and she snuggled into him for body heat. "Uh... Smidge said to light your hair up when you're secure." Branch said unsure of how to react to how tightly she clung to him, or how she seemed to nuzzle into his collar. It made his face hot and while a little extra heat could do them both good it was beyond embarrassing.
"Right!" Poppy cheered as she seemed to recover her positive attitude. It was good she let go of the root otherwise she'd be in way too much pain to light her hair up, let alone help Branch. Her leg seriously hurt though. The debris shifted which made Poppy yelp and grip tighter onto Branch who tried to steady himself.
"Okay, we don't have time to look for another root so I'm going to climb up."
"With what?" Poppy asked in a panicked voice.
Branch took two weapons out that unhooked into, well, hooks. They were both about the size of Branch's arm. Both the blade, and the handle they flipped out of.
"Woah," Poppy said with a small gasp as she watched Branch stick one into the side of the wall and use it to pull his way up. After a few hits they began to go upward and Poppy clung tighter. She remembered what Branch said about her hair and instantly lit it up so Smidge could see and extend it. If Branch would climb them out Poppy would help to pull. She could feel Branch's muscles flex in his shoulders and arms as he hoisted them up in the climb. The urge to talk to take her mind off the fear was strong but she shoved it down and focused on a hum instead. The sound and the vibrations she made in her skull helped sooth the stress that had built up since her fall.
Branch grit his teeth in irritation as he tried to focus so the duo wouldn't fall to their doom but music tended to stress him out. Despite this he didn't tell her to stop. For one thing, he again, was a bit preoccupied, for another, he could tell by the melody and the tempo that Poppy used it to keep panic at bay. If it helped he'd endure so they could get out.
Below, the debris shifted again and gave way to the flood waters. Poppy's melody stopped with a small gasp but she gripped him tighter and continued to hum. They definitely made it out in time. Branch could see the caked wall with his goggles but Poppy had to squint to try and make out her friends by the cliff side. A few minutes into the climb she could see a tuft of Smidge's hair stretched out. Poppy pulsated the glow of her light and with a deep breath, reached as far as she could. Smidge grabbed her and Poppy lightly tugged at Branch's arm "Smidge's got us! Get ready to be pulled!"

Show Me Your Moves! (Chapter 22)
AO3 STORY
Tumblr media
Chapter 21 : Defend Order
Defend Order is a non-damaging Bug-type move that increases the users defence and special defence stat by one. It is one of the signature moves of Vespiquen.
After Pigsy and Mei argued against MK for allowing Red Son to tag along, we somehow ended up with having to go to the Celestial Realm.
As Red Son readied the portal, he was muttering about the semantics of travelling between realms, you barely listened to him about it.
Red Son finished the mark he was drawing on the floor of the ship, and after lots of yelling and discourse, Red Son activated the portal, and the ship zoomed through. Everyone was screaming and hanging onto each other, and at some point, you swore it was going on forever until Red Son stood before the pile you all collapsed onto.
“I did say it'll melt your brains.” He said snarkily, and everyone got up and was in awe.
The show really didn’t do this place justice, it was ethereally gorgeous, and you were only snapped out of your stupor when Tang began explaining the ingredients for the antidote and where they were.
Mei and Red Son ended up teaming together to get a peach of immortality. Pigsy and Tang teamed up to get the pills of immortality, and MK went on his own to go and find the Trigram Furnace. Leaving you and Sandy alone on the Dronecopter.
“...I hope they’ll be okay.” You say worriedly. “I should have gone with them.”
Sandy placed a comforting hand on your shoulder. “They’ll be fine, remember what I said about trust?”
You nod sheepishly, and Sandy smiled. “Good. Trust them to handle it. In the meantime, you can help me check up on the Dronecopter to make sure nothing was jumbled up. How’s that sound?”
You agree and Sandy immediately hands you his toolbox. The two of you spend the majority of the time with Sandy performing maintenance, and you were handing him the necessary tools.
“Can you hand me the wrench?” Sandy held his hand out and you gave it to him, you continued sitting in silence before Sandy spoke up.
“Everyone is powerful in their own right.” He began, and you looked at him curiously. “I know that your first reaction is to worry about everything, but you gotta have more faith in your friends.”
“I know, I know.” You say in exasperation.
“I know, I just thought you’d need to hear it again, considering how much of a worry wart you are.” Sandy said with a smile, and you nod slightly. Now beaming, Sandy returns the wrench to the toolbox.
Before he could ask for anything else, there was a shout from the distance. “SANDYYYYY! START THE SHIP!” It was Pigsy! Him and Tang were running from one of Spider Queen’s goons, holding a fancy looking glass bottle.
“What about MK and the others?” He asked as you and him helped the two onto the ship.
“SANDYYY!!!!!!” That was Mei, carrying a screaming, flaming Red Son. “START THE SHIP!!!” She tossed Red Son onto the ship before jumping on.
“What about MK?” Sandy asked again.
“SANDYYYYYYYYYYYY!” Okay… this is just getting ridiculous. “START THE SHIPPPPPPPP!”
At this point, Sandy started up the ship. It began flying, making MK have to jump onto the ship, the Trigram Furnace rattling the Dronecopter.
“Go Sandy!” You yell, noticing how the Spider Demons and the Celestial Guard Dogs began getting closer. The Dronecopter took off, leaving the Guard Dogs to attack the trespassing spiders.
“Okay, where now? We need to find somewhere safe.” You say.
MK hummed and thought for a moment before a lightbulb went on in his brain. “I got it! Sandy, set course for Flower Fruit Mountain.”
