No. He denied airborne spread. Deliberately lied so people would not buy good masks that medical staff needed.
He is a failed health leader who got Covid because he felt weird being the only one in the room in a mask, so he took it off -despite being the most critical person that should model appropriate behaviour.
He encouraged bavk to normal, and that the most vulnerable people would just have to "fall by the wayside".
Paper masks were shit. Earloop masks were better. N95/FPP2 headstraps are needed now.
Stop trying to turn Covid and politics in general into a team sport where you uncritically approve of what the other team hates.

Hey I was considering purchasing a respiratory to use for covid protection. I saw your post you made a couple of months ago on how you use one and I'd like to know a few things. 1) Are they reasonable comfortable to wear? 2) Are they reasonable comfortable to wear in hot weather (or will I have to temporarily switch to n95s during hot days)? 3) How does the general public react to you wearing them? 4) Most important question, how do police and other security personal react to you wearing them? I'm worried that they'll React Badly to say the least considering some of their similarities to gas masks.
1) They're about as if not more comfortable than a basic mask, since they tend to use headstraps they won't cut into your ears and if you wear glasses you don't have to worry about them fogging up at all. Main points of discomfort is that the headstraps are a little finicky if you wear long hair down.
2) it's certainly sweatier under there in hot weather than a disposable, but by no means unbearable. The seal gets pretty warm and if you're using one with an exhalation filter then condensation will build up inside the facepiece, it's a good idea to vent it every hour or so in that case, but if you've got an exhalation valve only then it's reasonably cool because you can flush hot air out pretty easily. It's more "sweaty" than "hot".
3) Not much reaction when most people are wearing masks, if there's still a lot of mask wearing where you are most people will just be a little surprised and then move on. However in the past few months the state dropped their mask mandate here and most people have stopped wearing masks altogether. So now I've gotten comments from people, I've had a couple people make comments but not much more. I don't know how hostile your local scene is to the abstract concept of mask wearing but it will get you noticed.
4) I've never had issues with security or police, other than mild surprise, again, how hostile your local security is to the concept of mask wearing and how willing they are to make that your problem may vary, but I've never been like, pulled aside in a shopping center.
That said, I usually carry a spare N95 with me in case of someone telling me to take my respirator off, so that's a good policy to keep.
