Spiders

Quite possible one of my favourite factions in Reloaded, the spiders are totally detached from Prism. Unlike the entirety of Paradise, which functions with the tree as their central leader, the cave-dwelling spiders function as an independent group.

Though their positions of power can be inherited by blood relation, it is far more common for them to be inherited through spilt blood. 'Boss' or Monster spiders will fight each other for ranks as Headspiders, who may then challenge the monarch of the spider colony if they so wish. Monarchs are more often AFAB than AMAB, as AFAB spiders tend to be physically larger and are disproportionally more aggressive.

Below the cut are some spider characters. I guess arachnophobia warning? They don't look a whole lot like actual spiders and are anthropomorphic.

Lockbox and Jailhouse - Headspiders of Law

Based on Try This by Pegboard nerds, these two are an odd case. When fighting for a place to replace the headspider of law, who had recently become the new monarch, the fight ended up being so evenly matched both parties physically could not continue. Due to this, they both inherited the rank.

Lockbox is a jumping spider, and Jailhouse is a tarantula. Jailhouse is also transmasculine, and they are a couple with two adoptive sons named James and Bond.

Bonesaw - Headspider of Industry

I made this guy on a whim after listening to Cool Friends a few too many times,, oopsies

There's not much to say about them yet, aside from the fact they are probably more than a little insane. Parts of their personality are actually borrowed from Goumang from nine sols.

I have a few other spider characters i need to get around to redesigning,, namely the current monarch, Coinflip [headspider of economy] and Snarejaw [headspider of hunting and agriculture]

Not in that way but yea.

Her thread can control people. Should they hit the back of their neck.

So she kind of puppeteers them, while the thread shows them what they desire most.

Tried out needle felt a while ago, just took the pictures today!

I would have liked her spider legs to be pointier and less tarantula-like, but the deep red was so smooth that it didn't like to tuck in as well as the other wool. I might try working on it more later though, I just didn't have the time and the round spider toes are pretty cute too.
