A former official of the Central Intelligence Agency was arrested on charges of conspiring with a relative, who also worked for the CIA, to spy on China. Alexander Yuk Ching Ma, 67, was arrested and charged Friday, the US Department of Justice said. He is accused of revealing to Chinese intelligence officials sensitive national security knowledge. It is the latest intelligence arrest between Washington and Beijing at a time of increasing uncertainty. Mr Ma is due to appear in court on Tuesday and if convicted, faces a maximum sentence of life imprisonment. Mr Ma, a Hong Kong-born naturalized US citizen, started working for the CIA in 1982.
Seven years later, prosecutors said he left the CIA and served in Shanghai Chinese City, before moving to Hawaii in 2001. They accuse Mr Ma and his relative of spying for China in a scheme which started in March 2001 with meetings in Hong Kong over the course of a decade. The ex-CIA officers suspect of sharing information with the Chinese intelligence service “about the CIA ‘s staff, activities, and methods of covering communications.” Part of their Hong Kong meeting capturing on videotape and shows Mr Ma counting $50,000 (£38,000) in cash for the secrets they exchange, stating the release.
When residing in Hawaii, court records state, he then tries to collaborate with the FBI to once again obtain access to confidential US government information to pass on to China. He hires as a contract linguist by the FBI’s Honolulu office in 2004 and suspects of stealing classified identifying papers. It remains uncertain why the arrest of Mr Ma took so long. The unnamed relative Mr Ma’s conspired with is now 85 years old with whom prosecutors say. He also a naturalize United States citizen, born in Shanghai.

The Democratic National Convention 2020 opening night was unlike all others before it. In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, performers and speakers gathered virtually, coming to the living rooms of American people from states across the nation. The event focused largely on COVID-19, Democratic racial justice and testimonials – such as former first lady Michelle Obama – who called former vice president Joe Biden to be a man of compassion to unite the country. The evening also included comments from Republicans including former presidential nominee John Kasich who endorsed Biden now. Here’s a rundown of some of the highlights:
Former first lady Michelle Obama highlighted the first day of speeches by saying that the presidential election would expose the nation’s character. Obama, wearing a gold necklace that worded out “VOTE,” urged voters to give Biden an overwhelming victory to turn out in force. She said Trump had seriously mishandled the pandemic, which claimed more than 170,000 lives and left millions unemployed, and said he lacked the experience and moral compass required to lead the nation through the crisis.
Obama also criticized the government’s response to protests from Black Lives Matter and its treatment of migrant families at the border. Former Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who ran in Republican primaries against Trump in 2016, hosted the event and opened his remarks by standing at the intersection of two gravel roads and stating that the country was at a crossroads. He noted he was a proud Republican and had disagreements with some of the policies of Biden, but those differences were part of the structure of the political system in America.

Social media lit up with a seemingly innocent moment between the US president and the First Lady as they departed from Air Force One. President Donald Trump and Melania Trump had come back from his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, to Washington. When the pair descends the aircraft’s stairs, Ms Trump appears to brush aside repeated attempts by the president to hold his hand. Some suggested the First Lady should actually hang on to her dress to protect her in strong winds.
The trivial moment comes as the president turns his attention to the forthcoming election, where since June the lead of rival Joe Biden among registered voters has narrowed. A majority of voters (53 per cent) on the eve of the party conventions are “highly enthusiastic” about participating in this year’s election, a record high in CNN polls in presidential election cycles dating to 2003.

It is the first time that Facebook Inc. hit its record high in optimism over the release of its TikTok competitor Reels was Thursday’s net worth $100 billion. The 36-year-old is the only person in the world to hold centibillionaire status, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires List, and he joins fellow technicians, Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates. The fortune of Mark Zuckerberg is primarily attributed to the 13 per cent of his Facebook share.
This year, the founders of America’s largest technology companies have enjoyed an overwhelming accumulation of wealth, as the coronavirus pandemic is driving more people online, despite the rapid decline in the US economy. Mark Zuckerberg has gained some 22 billion dollars this year and Bezos has risen by over 75 billion dollars.
The impressive numbers put Big Tech, including Apple Inc., Zuckerberg, Bezos, under increased scrutiny. CEO Tim Cook and Alphabet Inc. Sundar Pichai, Chief Executive Officer last month, testified before Congress to defend their power and influence over Congress. Today, Apple, Amazon.com Inc., Alphabet, Facebook and Microsoft Corp. – the top five American tech firms – have classified figures equal to about 30 per cent of US gross domestic product, about two times as high as at the end of 2018.

President Donald Trump said on Thursday, China’s entry into the World Trade Organisation is the worst of all deals.
China’s entrance into the World Trade Organization which is presumably the most noticeably awful of the considerable number of arrangements, in the event that you need to realize the truth…They abused the guidelines like no one had ever disregarded it previously,” Trump said at the Whirlpool Corporation Manufacturing Plant in Ohio.
Previously, government officials have forcefully sought after an approach of globalization, moving our occupations, riches, and our manufacturing plants abroad.
Globalization has made the elites who give to lawmakers affluent and has left nothing for our laborers expect for neediness and anguish he added.
In January, Trump stated that the US has not been “Treated fairly” by the WTO (World Trade Organisation), which thought about China and India as developing countries.
In addition, the US President called China a developing country, “but we did not agree” advantages. Trump said earlier in January that the United States was not “treated equally.” The United Kingdom was deemed to be developed nations by the World Trade Organization ( WTO).
For a long time, the Trump administration has threatened to withdraw the United States. It is from the 164-member World Trade Organization in which China joined in December 2001. The administration of Trump has waged war on the appeal body of the WTO. Also, kept removing candidates from the Geneva Court, which stopped it from reaching a quorum necessary.

Videos of a North Carolina prisoner’s body camera show his death days after being arrested and fighting with guards to get up and ring for his mom and shouting more than two decades after he was stopped. The videos released today demonstrate the moment when a nurse in Winston-Salem County prison told John Neville, 56, he had been confiscated.
On December 4th, three days after his arrest on a warrant accusing him of assaulting a woman, Neville died of brain injury in a local hospital. On the death of Neville in July five former prison officers and a nurse were accused of involuntary killings. Video of a cardiac camera shows the nurse with blue surgical gloves, which initially appears to be unresponsive, kneeling next door to Neville.
A guard tells you to calm down and explains that he has a medical condition. A squad of four out of five guards pushes him onto his stomach and fucks his hands back as he struggles. They put an armchair on his back and stood him up, walked through him through a door and lowered him into a chair while he grumbled and breathed hard.

The former Vice President Joe Biden will defeat President Donald Trump for the November elections, Professor of the US university, Allan Lichtman, who’s well known for forecasting American presidential stated precisely.
One of just a few forecasters who in 2016 expected Trump to become the 45th president while also rightly forecasting Trump’s presidency was Lichtman, a political historian who had predicted the results of every presidential election since 1984 with asterisks. He uses a system of “13 major factors” to determine who will win. Factors such as the benefits of incumbency, long-term and short-term economic statistics, scandals, social discontent and much more.
Lichtman assumes that the election will be a close one, predicting that seven keys push in the direction of Biden with his program, while six support Trump. According to Lichtman, Trump is a dictator, not just a serious primary opponent, but also a possible third party nominee. Those were some of the issues that Hillary Clinton damaged in 2016, and then Lichtman claimed that she was not a supporter and was a third party representative of Gary Johnson.
