THE NIGHTSINGER.

aelleyon is, at her core, a song. her "name" is actually a sound within a larger song that comes from the god whose shed created her. the god is unknown and irrelevant - as all gods are.

since she was formed on the planet known to humans as earth, there is a careful bond between them. earth has allowed for aelleyon to connect to the very rhythms of the planet and sing with it.

there is an aura around aelleyon constantly and a humming while she speaks that is an underlying percussion which invokes different emotions and states of mind. often these are aelleyon's own disposition but it can also be that of earth due to the bond. ( it is rare that earth will sing to aelleyon or give cadence in rhythm. earth is known to be more "hands-on".)

aelleyon will express herself with a specific rhythm or she will use a type of rhythm to express a certain message to another. only those of aelleyon's kin can attune directly to her song and Hear it. others will feel an "urge" of some emotional direction that pulls their very soul.

this is not a siren song. while aelleyon does have that power this is much more primal than that. it has no ability to sway another into emotion. it is the universal lyrics of those specific and direct emotions. beings that are of higher being than aelleyon do not feel or hear anything.

this only has an affect if earth continues to exist. if earth were to die the song dies. aelleyon would only have her song, her name. it does work on other planets, other worlds and dimensions - unless stated otherwise - but the songs are of earth only. if there are certain emotions or states of mind unique to that area aelleyon cannot sing to it.

i will update how i write aelleyon with this new headcanon now in place. please keep this in mind also with your characters and how they might feel, react or if they could possibly Hear.

so lucy is...highly experienced in the area of masturbation. she has a moderately high sex drive and there's not always a partner available to scratch the itch with, so she learned pretty early how to take care of it herself. she realized in childhood that touching certain areas on her body felt good, but experienced no real desire to explore it more until the hormones kicked in during early adolescence. from there, she experimented to figure out what worked and what didn't until she got it down to almost a science. she's good at getting herself off with just her hand and a little bit of patience.

marriage is a tricky subject for Vesper because, in truth, she has been married. for centuries. and it's not only been a bad experience, but also a traumatic one in certain ways. she's more than willing to let herself fall in love with someone (she's never actually been in love because her relationship with Cazador was very much arranged for socio-political gain when she was fresh-faced and young), but to marry them would be a hurdle. she would have to feel utterly and completely SAFE in trusting that person above all things and she's not there. she'd happily live with someone like they were married, but the actual institution has done nothing for her so far.

PDA's are all good for Vesper. she's flirtatious, likes to express affection, and experience affection in kind.

The back of his neck, lower back and around his navel are all his more sensitive spots! he's also mad ticklish but he won't tell anyone that.

aelle does have a shadow if she wants one. but its not a usual shadow. it warps the air, it breaks colors that near it. if you stare, it blurs around the edges and moves like a heavy liquid. the black is so deep, so intense and complete like all there ever was - this gloom. her shadow follows but it points in the direction of where the moon lays. it reaches, barely connecting to her form as if trying to free itself from her hold.

WHAT KIND OF HAUNTING ARE YOU? Animal Ghost ;; You were never built for this human form. Maybe you're making the best of it. Maybe you're not. You probably got in trouble for "reading too much" during school. You've never been half-committed to a fandom. You're either not interested, or it consumes your entire life. You can't casually get into new media because you're too fixated on whatever you're currently into, and when the hyperfixation dies, you don't even know what to do with yourself. Chances are you're hoping to come back as a cat. I feel like you'll be happier as an animal ghost than as a person. And the best part is, no one dislikes animal ghosts. this depends on the person and the conversation topic. aelleyon isn't a creature that will agree just to agree. she isn't a "people pleaser". she has no issue with confrontation and will be vocal about her thoughts, opinions and emotions. (this also is relevant to if she's wrong. she'll be stubborn and hard to change.)

to people she doesn't have a connection to, she's honest to the point of callous. she'll go hard to disprove their words and sometimes fully rant on why they're wrong.

to the people she loves, she'll be honest yet considerate. a lot of "gentle parenting" techniques. these are the only ones who she will relent on a disagreement - and maybe even change her mind.

even among the other demigods, aelleyon is strange. she isn't one thing specific. her powers seem to be a mix of very odd things with no connection together. aelleyon is a song yet she doesn't represent music. aelleyon was born in the dark, she controls shadows but that power has limitations. aelleyon is a predator, a witch, a shapeshifter, the obscure wild, the hunger of knowing.

there is not a single thing aelleyon is entirely, completely.

and well, it makes her a cryptic. some think it is due to her divine core - from which god she belonged too but gods are too unpredictable and unreliable to ever do anything useful like claim their creations.

but aelleyon has used that strangeness and the fact that she is so many things to kill other demigods and take their divinity for herself. they looked down on her. they thought her lesser.

but she is more than any demigod could ever be! she isn't stuck to one representation and that is a unique freedom that no other demigod has.

something about how aelleyon "experiences" new lives is that she is entirely that person but that person is not her. she sees and feels as they do. she thinks as they would. all of the choices made are by that person alone. she doesn't protect them. she doesn't save them. their trauma, pain and death is all felt genuinely.

kinda like a hyper-fixation. she forgets to eat, drink or sleep. the only thing that matters is getting the experience. she puts herself fully into this life and this person.

it's not healthy. i don't want to ever say or imply it is. she's obsessed with experiencing. so much so that she does this and leaves her domain for hundreds of years, with only her kin or soul bound to take care of it. she's very irresponsible.

she also doesn't... really care about the person. it's a life, yes but it's only to serve her purpose and that person is expendable. she can always find a new one.

aelle is known to have different familiars which aid her during her various human lives. her current familiar is a small feline that has a huge maw for a face. not entirely sure what it is or where it's from, aelle calls him beans.

beans is totally loyal to her and can talk though not in complete sentences. his intelligence isn't human but enough to get simple concepts. its common for beans to be somewhere in aelleyon's darkness/shadows.

(bean boy is available to talk or ask questions. though his cat-ittude is huge so good luck. )

aelle has lots of different modifications in this particular form. she pierces and heals then re-pierces when the mood strikes her again. her body never scars from these. below is an image to help place each piercing.

this doesn't show EVERY one so for detail purposes: 8 different ear piercings (im not naming each one right now.) bridge, septum, nasllang and high nostrils eyebrow, third eye, butterfly kiss labret, dhalia bites, snake bites, monroe, middle tongue, angel bites nipples, belly button, vertical hood (vaginal piercing.)

You’ve made mistakes. You see them play out on an endless and nauseating loop whenever you close your eyes. If you could just interfere! Somehow pass on what knowledge you now possess to the person you were then. Of course, now you know, you know, YOU KNOW. But what’s done is done, leaving you behind, holding the shards of what you broke in your bleeding and calloused hands. They look at you differently now, so you smile bigger and hope it reaches your eyes. It’s okay though, because you’re going to make it better, you have to. And god knows you can’t be wrong again, you simply won’t allow it, can’t even entertain the idea. When doubt creeps in, you’ll stamp it down. When things begin to go wrong, you’ll turn a blind eye. There isn’t room inside of you to hold any more wrong.
