i don't know if this is something but inho in the six legs game was so so fascinating. this cold, detached, almost heartless man who had led these games for who knows how many years, sitting criss cross on the floor with his mortal enemy, genuinely invested in their win.
maybe its because six legs was his first actual game or maybe he got caught up in the unity of it all but something in inho was different. he slipped up and used gihun's first name, he lost control and slapped himself when he fumbled in the spinning top mini game, he and jungbae had a cheeky back and forth, he constantly checked in with junhee and the baby, he stood next to gihun and cheered at the other teams victories. he was ecstatic when people won and saddened at their loss. he was caught up in the comradery of it all, of the hope to win, of their collective success, of the push to victory. in that game, i think inho showed a side of himself he tends to keep secret. a kind of jubliance he can't let himself experience. which i think is so ironic too. that in the midst of a death game where they are trapped by the system, stuck to do nothing but win or die, toys for the amusement of others. in this, inho let himself be free. he was grinning and grinding for the win, immersed in the experience, genuinely part of the team. but that feeling isn't one he can indulge in because it sits at war with his ideals. there can be no team, no unity, no togetherness. he knows, even in that game, that there can only be those with power and those who cower before it.

The Winged Servant - 10.1
well jeez I've been gone for a while. sorry, I've been sick. anyway, this directly follows chapter 10 and it's from Ryan's perspective! third person because I only write first person for Onyx. he's special.
content warnings: whumper pov, gets close to a panic attack, theoretical death mentions, actual murder mentions (very very vague),
masterlist | prev chapter (it probably won't make much sense without this context)
“Onyx,” Ryan said, and Onyx looked back at him. Of course he did—he’d been paying attention to any clues the royal family might have given him. He was always paying attention to the royal family, like he should. “Do what they tell you, yeah? Be nice and compliant for them. Don’t get hurt.”
Cardan laughed. “It's an angel, Ry, not some priceless artifact. Does it matter?”
Ryan didn’t respond, focusing on Onyx as the servant was ushered out of the room. He would be fine, Ryan was certain. He didn’t look that close to breaking down on the way out the door, and the staff here would be nice to him.
They’d be too nice, actually. They would tell him all about how the Raos were evil and how Onyx hadn’t deserved any hardship ever and how he just needed to be coddled and pampered forever.
There was always the chance it wouldn’t work. The angel knew who he belonged to, and Ryan would’ve liked to think that he wouldn’t forget all that training at the drop of a hat. But Kieran was good at convincing people of things, and Onyx was better at listening to it than arguing. (That, too, had been trained into him. Ryan refused to dwell on the irony of it.) If Onyx never wanted to serve the royal family again, that could become a problem, but it was a problem for later.
Later meaning once Ryan fixed everything. And for that to happen, everyone had to make it out alive. Onyx couldn’t do stupid things like profess his loyalty to the royal family for that to work. For now, his concerns needed to be with doing what he was told.
He could do that. Ryan had trained him so well to do just that. If he couldn’t even do that, then Ryan may as well have just planned on not taking him back once all of this was blown over and fine.
And it would be fine, Ryan justified, even as Kieran whispered to the guards and they all glanced back over at him and his family. Tied up on the floor of a goddamn guest bedroom in their own castle. It would be fine. It would be fine, and no one would die, because Kieran didn’t ever use the death penalty. He hadn’t, not once, not even for the serial kidnapper that’d been a threat two years ago. (Ryan had taken that one into his own hands.) Kieran didn’t have the stomach for the death penalty. Kieran didn’t have the stomach for much at all—certainly not to be king and defend himself—so it would be fine.
Kieran started to leave when he was done whispering to the guards. Ryan glared after him, not bothering to try hiding his contempt. It wasn’t enough to kick the royalty out of their castle. It wasn’t enough to thwart their coup plan within half an hour of it being in motion. It wasn’t enough to tie them up and leave them on the floor for hours. It wasn’t even enough to steal one of their most loyal servants. No, he was just going to walk out of the door, too. As if this wasn’t even the most important thing he had to do today.
“You’re such a bitch,” Ryan muttered, just loud enough that he knew Kieran could hear him. “There is nothing I regret less than killing your mom.”
It was a stupid thing to say. Ryan knew that, because he had felt how it felt to be the royal listening to insults from prisoners, and all it ever did was put the prisoner in a worse situation. But he also knew that Kieran constantly talked about his values of being civil and fair, even to criminals, and those values translated into him being a coward. He wouldn’t do anything. Ryan could say as much stupid stuff as he wanted to, and Kieran wouldn’t do a thing.
And just like Ryan thought, Kieran didn’t even turn around. He only hesitated for a second before continuing to walk away.
What a pussy.
The Raos were separated after that. Taken away, one by one. Ryan was the last one, but he knew where they were going. Downstairs, all the way to the basement. It had been dungeons, when he’d been in charge there, but he had a feeling that Kieran had not kept it that way.
It required a card from the guard just to get in, scanning the barcode on it. So Ryan didn’t need a card; a picture of one would work. There was certainly more security down here than the rest of the castle. The hallways were long and uniform, designed to make it easy to get lost. The guard had to use their card just to open the door to the room they dropped Ryan off in. Holding cells, then, but still not quite the dungeon that Ryan had spent so much time in.
There was a bed in the room. Not a cot, an honest to god mattress with pillows and blankets. A bathroom that had a door to separate it from the rest of the room, with a shower and everything. Ryan didn’t even see an obvious camera in there. There was a sink in the actual room, too, on the wall that had cabinets lining the floor and ceiling. Next to the sink, on the counter, were latex gloves and antibacterial wipes, giving Ryan a good guess as to what was in the cabinets. He couldn’t actually get in them, not yet, because he needed a card, but he’d get one somehow.
There was a call button, too. It looked like a doorbell from the inside. In case he needed anything from the staff, the guard had explained, and Ryan was pretty sure  he could be on his deathbed and still not need anything badly enough that he’d want to ask the staff for it.
Actually. There might’ve been an opportunity there for getting a card. He’d have to remember that.
They’d come back to question him eventually. He knew that. They’d want to put him on trial, too. He couldn’t let them get that far. This was his fucking castle. He was not going to sit quietly as they locked him in the basement of his own castle. He was the rightful heir to the throne, not a child who’d refused his vegetables at dinner.
(Even if Kieran had been ruling for five years. Even if the guards had said that they liked him better than the Raos. Even if Onyx decided that he liked him better than the Raos. Even if every single subject decided that Kieran was better, they were wrong. They could not understand what was best for the country.)
It didn’t matter. It didn’t fucking matter how long Kieran had been here or how many people liked him better. It didn’t hold a candle to what Ryan and Cardan had done here. Ryan had been wandering these halls since before he was supposed to be allowed to do it alone. Cardan had thrown enough parties to rally hundreds of noble families behind him. And if Kieran thought that he could throw the Rao family in their own dungeon without consequences, he was sorely mistaken.

I've been trying to do one of those Enneagram tests for Izzy as he is in season 2 and every single one I've found wants me to buy it for the full result :(
But what I can see of this one is.... fairly accurate for how I feel with my Izzy in s2.

Rambling about Gojo (in ep 20)
The scene where Gojo floating above the forest scanning his surroundings to determine the order to take care of things  was amazing. He's quick on his feet trying and succeeding taking back control of the situation.
But also the way he steals the spotlight like I was watching Todo and Yuji fight Hanami and was focused on it but once Gojo broke the veil it's like all eyes on him he's charismatic and you feel excited to what he's gonna do next and you anticipate what kind of power he's gonna unleash and then you think Is there no end to his strength? and you start to feel little terrified when you realize how crazy strong he really is.

I feel like the way I write about Finley in Blood Before All makes it sound like I don't like him... :( I swear nothing is further from the truth! I adore him. He just makes really bad decisions in AoUV, and the grittier direction I'm going with the plot in this fic means that he makes the bad decisions more confidently and that everyone calls him out on it more lmao
