9th Nov. Universal Studios

Today I am going to Universal Studios in Osaka! I am so excited! I can't wait for the Harry Potter section! I feel like I should've watch all the movies in preparation!!

Get to Kyoto station and jump on a train which says Osaka. This really doesn't look right but whatever it says Osaka and I have a ticket for Osaka so what could go wrong. Nopeeee this is an express train and now it's too late to get off haha.. So I paid 560¥ for a regular ticket, and then the ticket man comes through and charges me an extra 1280¥... fuckkk it better get me there bloody quick smart!! Whatever though, I'm not gonna let $15 ruin my day.

It takes me 2 bloody hours to get there even though I caught this stupid express train... that ain't right. I walk in the gates and it's so amazing! The first bit is like a mini city with signs hanging off the buildings, so cool. I straight line to Hogwarts. I need to know which wand chooses me and I have to check out the Harry Potter ride! First I'm going to go into Olivanders wands. As im lining up I meet an awesome French girl called Claire. We are both alone in the park so we decide to spend the day exploring together! It's always better with a friend! We walk in the attraction and go into the first room. It's the wand shop, alright let's do this haha! Wands everywhere cool! Then the lady opens up a secret door ooooooOoOoOoo!! We all head in and there is Ollivander. He's an American guy and he's saying everything in English and Japanese! Awesome! Someone from the audience is selected to participate and IT'S ME!!!! I try not to freak out!! First he asks me a few questions and hands me a wand. He asks me to say 'wingardium leviosa' at the shelves. I do it and the shelves come crashing down hahaha shit! The next wand sends the cupboards shaking (omg it's just like the movie!) And then the last wand, holly with unicorn hair starts glowing and lights up the whole room!! AHHHH THIS IS SO SICK!!! I can't believe I got to experience this. He hands me the wand and we exit through to the shop. Unfortunately it's not a gift but I can purchase the wand for the small price of $60 hahaha I think I'm good actually. So cool still!

We have a look at the shop and decide to come back at the end of the day so we don't have to carry everything around. Next is the Harry Potter ride. Claire got here super early and has already been on it once! It must be rad!! The sign says there's a 90 minute wait, but I think we only waited an hour or so. We walk in and there's the school locker room and this is where you put your belongings for the ride. So cool! The keys are on a wrist band as well which is so smart! As we walk through to the ride, we walk through Dumbledore’s office where he is a projection and is talking (in Japanese) and through the stairwell where the paintings on the walls are moving and talking (in Japanese haha). Sick! We jump on and seriously, best ride ever!! It advertises 4K3D which I didn't really know what that was but basically it moves side to side, up and down and you have to wear these glasses which makes the screens 3D and then it gets hot when there's fire and sprays water at you in water bits!!! So sick! Harry and crew take you on a journey through the different movies and I actually get a little scared when the dementors come Haha! They have done a fabulous job wow!!! I am so stoked I could leave now and be happy! I'm not going to though hehe! We get some photos with some of the characters and go for butter beer! It's like a lemonade with froth, brilliant!! The whole village looks amazing and the shops are wicked! Theres a candy shop too with the chocolate frogs that might jump away if you're not careful, berties all flavour beans, and all kinds of sweets and souvenirs. 

Next we head for lunch in Jurassic park!! Could definitely eat a dino inspired feast for lunch. I get a grilled chicken burger an chips. As we're eating, a dinosaur appears out of nowhere with it's trainer!! Haha yes it looks so brilliant! He’s just cruising around causing a ruckus! What a show. We line up for the flying dino rollercoaster. It seats you down and then brings you up to a lying position so when it starts, it feels like you're flying I guess! We probably only had to line up for 50 mins. No hats, jewelry, watches, glasses nothing. So we strip down and jump on. We are seated first and when strapped in it brings us back to the flying posi. SICK!!! We head up the first bit which is the highest section to gain speed! We are looking directly down so can see everyone on the ground and everyone is waving at us and we are all waving back! I love how the Japanese do this, it always brings happy vibes!! And bam!! Down we go! Man it was so fast! We go down, spin, around, up, down, upside down, backwards hahahha it was wicked! My hairs fucked though.

We have a look in the gift shop and both get a Jurassic Park key chain, sweet! Moving on and we're skipping down the streets to the Spiderman ride! It's such a cool part of the park, it's looks like New York! The spider man ride looks out dated and old though... uh oh... we get in the cart and are ready to go but then we are asked to get out again. This one must be broken ahh! My hopes are not high for this ride. We jump in the next one and set off. Apparently it's going to be similar to the Harry Potter ride, as in 4K3D. The beginning was pretty simple and then bam it got so good! Stoked! I thought it would be shit haha.

Skipping again and we see a rollercoaster that is going straight through the middle of the park! Looks intense, let's go! On our way there's a Minion Christmas Parade on the street haha cute! They shoot out so much confetti and the kids are loving it. We use this opportunity to get some kawaii photos! The Hollywood ride is the ride we saw and you can choose to either go frontward facing or backwards! We go backwards and man it was so good! You got to choose your own song to listen to while on it. We listened to Pitbull and Christina Aguilera hahaha. We dropped on the drop of the song! Perfect timing! Again hair got fucked up.

After the ride I grab an ice cream and we head for the Jaws ride. This is a boat ride through the village in the movie. We end up lining up for 40ish minutes and get on the boat. There's a lady at the front speaking the whole time and narrating the journey... In Japanese haha! It's ok though, I could kind of gather what she was saying by her expressions. And I did jump a few times when the fucking huge shark jumped out the water bahaha! She had a shotgun and was trying to "shoot" it. She accidently shot a gas cylinder and fire exploded everywhere! What a show.

Back to Harry Potter land and we grab our souvenirs. I get the chocolate frog that could jump out at any time oh no!! A chocolate wand and some house pins! I say goodbye to my new friend and have a wonder around the park to the Minion section and souvenir shopping! Claire told me today that in English ‘cute’ in French is ‘minion’ and in Japanese ‘kawaii’ translates to ‘minion’ too! So Cool! What an epically amazing day, I'm dead though I need to go home.

An hour and a half to get home and I'm gonna grab some sashimi from supermarket for dinner. Crab, octopus and tuna sushi. Oishiiii des!!! But I'm worried, I am that exhausted that I don't even finish my glass of wine! That is a first. Bed.
