2) Who's your OCs best friend? How did they become best friends?

Aleksi hasn’t had too many friends growing up, but that’s not something he’s been particularly sad about: the friendships he did have were very deep and he was very close with them. His first friend—who he could consider a best friend was Dianthe! And Dianthe is dead. Uh. I’m still working on how they met, but as of late I’ve been thinking about them (Dia) being stuck in Alek’s head… as a voice! (IF you remember what character I took that idea from (one of my own, mind you) I will give you a cookie)

RUNAWAY BY AURORA OMG it is so himmmm running and running and running and wanting nothing but to return home even though this running has brought you experiences you never thought you would have grrr I’m gonna go feral if I keep talking about this so. Next!

Ahh… love songs… Aleksi’s love interest is Li Hua! In case you didn’t know— I’m kinda bad at finding love songs. (<- is aromantic) but I have something! Fear not! 産声 by Omonitake! listen I’m going off the English lyrics but listen… Very yearning… the singer is holding themself back from admitting feelings for another… they haven’t felt this kind of emotion in a long time… uh the instruments are cool… I’m bad at this Bun 😭 it’s them trust me 🙏

14) Who's a character your OC cannot stand! It's on sight when they see them!

I don’t think Aleksi is the type to lash out at someone because of hating them, but I also think that—at the beginning of the story—if he could maybe… ‘lightly’ punch one of the main cast (any, it doesn’t matter) in the face, it would help him. A little.

22) Fight or Flight? Are they a lover or a fighter?

Definitely fight. Perhaps freeze… but mostly fight. As for whether or not he’s a lover or a fighter, I’d say he’s a mix of both—leaning fighter.

20) If they fight, what's their weapon of choice?

I’ve actually kind of redid this part of her lore: She used to just have two swords Then I swapped those with a canesword Then I did more digging and realized caneswords kinda suck… So I switched to a spear! Then I realized they (the city) would not allow a citizen to carry around a spear all willy nilly so I dropped that (at least for the time she’s in the city) Plus it would be awkward to carry both a cane and a spear, especially in a cramped space like a city… So finally I (shakily) decided to have her use her cane (basically her main strat is 🏌️‍♀️💥ing) And a small knife (or two or three or four maybe…) While she was a knight she used a spear!

and as for 30…

Bianka Nickname: Bia Gender: Female Age: 22 Birthday: June 22, 1878 Birth Order: 1/9 Place of Birth: Born in Poland, immigrated at the age of 6 Appearance: Blonde hair, brown eyes Height: 5'2" Occupation: Seamstress Information: Bianka's an old soul. She had to grow up very fast and learn how to adapt and is therefore very independent. She always wanted a little sister, but Katia was too young so they were never really close. She had friends, but never a best friend until she met Aaron Bosworth. They flirted for about 3 years before he asked for her hand in marriage when they were 17. She agreed as long as they could wait until they were 19. They moved out but end up at home most Fridays for supper. She really wants to have a daughter.

 Janek Nickname: None Gender: Male Age: 20 Birthday: September 5, 1880 Birth Order: 2/9 Place of Birth: Born in Poland, immigrated at the age of 4 Appearance: Blond hair, blue eyes Height: 5'5" Occupation: Factory Worker Information: Janek never wanted a best friend, because he always had Henryk. Even though he wasn't in Poland for long, he still has a few very distinct memories. Their father died when he was 13, and he convinced his mother to let him get a job before Bianka so she could stay in school a bit longer. He is very protective of his siblings. He and Henryk both want to get married in the future, but are content sharing an apartment for now.

 Henryk Nickname: None Gender: Male Age: 19 Birthday: January 21, 1881 Birth Order: 3/9 Place of Birth: Born in Poland, immigrated at the age of 2 Appearance: Blond hair, green eyes Height: 5'7" Occupation: Factory Worker Information: Henryk doesn't remember Poland, but definitely remembers Polish. He is the one who accidentally slips back into Polish most often. He is a jokester and tries to be very optimistic. He was hit very hard by the death of their father and is definitely depressed, but is helped greatly by Janek. He wants to open a shoe store, but he wants to wait until he's married. Janek teases that they'll be bachelors forever, but he secretly has a crush on Caroline Davenport.

    Katia Nickname: Kat Gender: Female Age: 17 Birthday: October 24, 1882 Birth Order: 4/9 Place of Birth: Born in Poland, immigrated at the age of 10 months Appearance: Brown hair, green eyes Height: 5'6" Occupation: Housekeeper Information: Katia isn't technically a middle child, but she has middle child energy. She is easily annoyed and angered but is internalizes all her emotions. She's bisexual, but only Adam and Elmer know. She has a crush on Caroline Davenport, but also has one on Howie DaSilva. She learned English and Polish at the same time so she has the hardest time with both languages. She is not good with words, but is amazing at math and teaches Adam and Elmer. She hates feeling confined, so she's a housekeeper as opposed to a seamstress like her sisters and mother.

 Aleksander Nickname: Aleks Gender: Male Age: 15 Birthday: December 8, 1884 Birth Order: 5/9 Place of Birth: NYC Appearance: Brown hair, blue eyes Height: 5'5" Occupation: Factory Worker Information: The older four siblings are much closer, and the twins are a bit like a unit, so Aleks is closest with Elmer, even though there's an age gap. They always walk halfway to work together, because they go the same way for the first half. He always teases Elmer and gives him piggy-back rides. Aleks was the first Kasprzak child born in NYC, so he learned Polish at home but isn't very good anymore. He wants to go to Poland one day with Bianka for a visit, as they still have family there.

 Luiza Nickname: None Gender: Female Age: 14 Birthday: March 18, 1885 Birth Order: 6/9 Place of Birth: NYC Appearance: Blonde hair, blue eyes Height: 5'3" Occupation: Seamstress Information: Luiza is the sweetest girl around. She always helps others out and hates the thought of violence. After the newsies got beaten by the bulls, Elmer didn't go home because he didn't want to scare her. She and Karl are very close, but Luiza also is close with Katia and Bianka, as her only sisters. She wants to move away from the city and have several children when she grows up, but she's scared no one will want to marry her because she's from a poor Polish family.

 Karl Nickname: None Gender: Male Age: 14 Birthday: March 18, 1885 Birth Order: 7/9 Place of Birth: NYC Appearance: Blond hair, blue eyes Height: 5'6" Occupation: Delivery Boy Information: Karl is a bit of a wild child, but not as much as Adam. He works as a telegram delivery boy and rides all over the city on his bike. He acts a bit like one of Spot's birds, as the delivery boys and newsies are on good terms. He is one of the main correspondents for Lower Manhattan. He loves Luiza, but he also loves playfully teasing her. Because of his job, he gets to see all over New York, but he wants to see more places too. He wants to go out West, but he doesn't like the thought of permanently leaving Luiza and his family.

 Adam Nickname: Zozi (newsies), none (home) Gender: Male Age: 13 Birthday: February 9, 1886 Birth Order: 8/9 Place of Birth: NYC Appearance: Blond hair, blue eyes Height: 5'3" Occupation: Brooklyn Newsie Information: Adam is definitely the wild child. He is always down for a fight and he is tough as nails. He convinced his mother to let him become a Brooklyn newsie when he was 11 and moved out. He loves being in Brooklyn because they're tough, and he always has enough food, whereas at home it was sometimes a bit stretched. He is very good at math, though not as good as Elmer. He often runs into Race and they are friendly to each other. Spot will often withhold information, but Race will tell Adam everything that's happening in Manhattan. Adam misses his family, and will sometimes sell in Manhattan or go home for a night when it's especially bad.
