You can hardly hear Remus when you pick up the phone. You check the clock on the wall. It's time for him to be at the pub with James and Sirius, so you're not sure why he's calling.

"Hello?" you say. 

"Oh, thank fuck," Remus cries. If he's cursing, you know something is up.

"What's wrong? Is Sirius there?" You expect that maybe he's gotten into trouble with another patron or that he's let his phone die and asked Remus to tell you. 

"Is that her? Did you get her? Beg her, Remus. Tell her I'll buy her drinks for a week!" James is shouting in the background to be heard through the phone.

"I'm handling it," Remus calls back. You pull the speaker away from your ear as he does. What is going on? "Sorry," he says, much quieter now. He must have cupped his hand over the microphone. "Listen, can you come out to the pub? Our regular one?"

"But it's boy's night," you say. They invite you round more often than not, but it's important to you that they get to have their time as mates, too. 

"I know," he sighs. "But--" There's a bit of a commotion and a lot of cursing and then James comes on the line.

"Please, for the love of all that is good and holy, can you come 'round? Your boyfriend is being miserable and it's going to get us kicked out. And this is my favorite spot!" Your stomach ties itself in a knot. Sirius? He hasn't texted you about anything concerning beyond reminding you that he'd be home later than usual. 

"Is he okay?" James must hear your concern because he backpedals.

"Oh, yeah, he's fine, love, honest. We just ran into that tosser Lestrange on the way over and he's a bit sour. Family drama, and all that. Can you just come and get him to chill the fuck out, please?"

You're already reaching for your purse. It still makes you a little giddy that everyone knows you're the one who Sirius responds to the most. For some reason you can always bring him out of a mood, and you like doing it. "I'll be there in fifteen minutes or so."

"Is she coming?" Remus calls from the background. "Can I have my phone back now, please?" You end the call and shove your feet into your shoes and head out the door. You're not really in a pub-going outfit, but it'll have to do. You know that Sirius won't care much. 

When you get to the bar you shoulder your way to the back where you know they'll be. Familiar faces call out your name and you wave to them, dispensing smiles and greetings with genuine happiness. 

Your heart swells when you finally get to the back booth. Sirius is sat on one side, glaring at the beer in his hands. James and Remus are chatting to some other friends close by. As soon as you take a step towards your boyfriend, he looks up, like he sensed you coming. And his entire body transforms. He sits up straighter, his hands loosening their grip on the glass. He doesn't smile, not quite, but his jaw unclenches and his pupils dilate. 

You beam at him. He quickly scoots out of the booth to greet you, hands outstretched as you reach for him in turn. 

"My girl," he says, kissing your cheek before pulling you in for a hug. "What are you doing here?" Sirius rarely sounds delighted unless he's talking about how his club crushed their rival or how he managed to trick James into glueing his hand to his face, but this is pretty close. 

You shrug in his hold. "Got bored at home." He pulls away and smoothes his thumb over one of your eyebrows. 

"Hmm," he says. "Try again." You laugh, loudly and freely, and that does get him to smile. Only a little, but you count it as a victory. His smiles are like treasures and you keep them all in a lock-box in your chest. 

"Remus called," you tell him honestly. He makes an annoyed noise, looking over his shoulder to glare at his friends. Both of them resolutely keep their gaze elsewhere. 

Sirius leads you back to the booth and you settle in next to him, thigh pressed to his. He drapes an arm around you. Seeing that the danger has passed, James and Remus slide in on the other side. 

"I told them not to bother you," Sirius says, frowning. But his hands betray him, one curling around your shoulder and the other resting warm and heavy on your kneecap. 

"As if this is a bother," you scold. "Plus, James said he'd buy my drinks." You look at your t-shirt -- and old one of Sirius', and frown. "I wish I had thought to change, though."

"No," he says quickly. His fingers tuck under the collar to press into your bare skin. "No, I like this."

"It's fucking magic," Remus mutters from the other side of the booth. "Unbelievable."

James has his head in his hands. "It's like he didn't tell me to shove my head up my ass ten minutes ago." Sirius flips them off and leans in close, pressing his lips to your ear.

"It's obvious you're wearing my shirt," he says, voice gravely. You flight the urge to shiver. "Got me thinking all kinds of inappropriate things over here."

"Alright, you're going to get us kicked out for a different reason," James whines. You look at him and he winks. It's obvious that you're the keeper of Sirius's happiness and no one minds all that much, considering they love him. You all do. It's the easiest thing in the world.

This is a idea I’ve had for a while with Demon Scar and Mortal Grian. Grian Iives I’m a supposed haunted house with his roommates. And Scar has taken a liking to the pretty man

Ghost and demons weren’t real. Grian tried to ignore the strange things happening in the home. Mumbo just forgot something or the footsteps were Impulse. Or the door closing was actually Pearl messing with him.

It wasn’t anything else. Nothing strange was going on here. Grian didn’t believe in things like that. But the others were experiencing it too. It wasn’t just him. And Pearl swore it lived in the basement. Where they found that pentagram and sanded it off the floor.

It was nothing, sure someone had tried to summon something but it wasn’t real. Grian swallowed, the footsteps up from the basement again, he was home alone. Just the house settling. So he went to check on it going down to the basement, to prove it was no one.

Then he shivered, when did it get cold? Grian took a breath and saw fog from how cold it was. Then a hand touched his shoulder, he jumped turning to see who it was. A rush of cold again… no one was there.

Yet… Grian stood there, staring at the ground. Hands on his shoulders, clawed and long. “Stay with me.” The voice purred into his arm.

The cold spreading up to his feet and legs, hugging his body. Sliding up slowly, Grian felt cold, yet didn’t want to move.

“Good boy… stay still, let me in.” It was in his head now. Grian should be afraid but all he felt was calm, so very calm. There was a pause, Grian found himself staring at the wall now.

Then his arms moved but… he wasn’t moving them. He couldn’t move them. As his fingers and hands moved against his will “hmmm, been a long time since I’ve had a body.” His voice says, but he didn’t say that!

His hands rub his arms and chest and down. Looking over every inch of himself. “Nice. I think I’ll enjoy this body.” The thing in him laughs then pauses “As for you, pretty bird, just relax and let me do the talking and walking. You’re mine now.”

Grian could only watch as he moves upstairs and went back to work. The thing in him piloting his body around easily.

Miss B is a reporter! Specifically, she broadcasts to an outer audience (technically, us), making most, if not, all drawings with her canon. She also hosts podcasts, but she prefers to be seen the most! She has fourth-wall breaking powers where she speaks to the audience! I'd like to keep her backstory a secret for now, as I'm working on it on-and-off, but I will say she's drastically different from who she was back then and WILL stuff down all negative feelings bc of it. They hate talking about their past. I. Still haven't figured out their reporter voice, but their normal speaking voice is bugs bunny. They are both bunny-adjacent.

Miss B has her own universe btw! It's a floating-in-the-void studio mixed with a penthouse. Multi-floors. Middle floor is her whole studio. There's a compartment in the studio where all folders of possible candidates to interview. Btw the folders kinda hold like an wikipedia-level amount of knowledge on those characters.

Oh yeah forgot to mention, but Miss B also has a little sidekick of sorts! His name is Frankie :3 (he/ted/hun) n he's a friend's oc! At the moment, while said friend also doesn't know Miss B backstory, Frankie is Miss B's cameraman! Also he is 2. (He's actually like. 7-10 I'm gonna be honest I don't remember.) Miss B and teds parents are on pretty good terms with each other. Miss B also cares a lot for Frankie and always makes sure ted stays behind when it's on dangerous interviews + when hun is sick. Miss B doesn't actually need a cameraman, as it knows it's always (or usually) being watched, but it appreciates the company! Think of them having a slight Sonic-n-Tails friendship

santana is an angel. He has a true form, but he never feels quite comfortable exposing it, unless in dire situations. He was aware of his past universes, and used to answer to a being called The Almighty One, who he sees as the one who created all the universes he's been in. His backstory goes into it a bit, but basically, after so many requests of a new universe, The Almighty One offers Santana a deal of providing him a universe: record all of the universes that had been created. Santana was desperate and accepted it, and The Almighty One sends him off.

so like that was a lie btw. well. not PARTICULARLY a lie, but it's an imposible task. The Almighty One isn't even the one who creates the universes, and there's different ones created every second.

oh this is important. santana and miss b relationship. they certainly do got sm stuff btwn them. problem is that they both have partner problems (i.e., for santana "i watched my boyfriend fucking die in front of me"). Miss B acts real sweet on Santana (she calls him Santi!) and finds him really fun and interesting! Like, wow! Another multiverse traveler! A pretty and smart one too! So fashionable!!! And there's no info on him too? Wowza... Santana, on the other hand, does enjoy Miss B's company after going so long without interaction (will not admit it) and believes she (and Frankie) are the only ones he can interact with safely. But also he pushes the both of them away because he's kinda scared otherwise. He does care for them though.

Santana and Miss B want to get close to each other, but at the same time, the two of them keep their secrets guarded HARD. they complement each other really well.

ok i have no fucking idea why but i’m making this twi malec. i’m just. in the mood for twi malec i guess. fuck it amiright

magnus is just. he has a lot of secrets. there’s a reason he hasn’t gotten close to anyone in a long time, there’s a reason he only talks to two or three people who actually know him, there’s a reason he hasn’t been how he used to be--out and about, flashy and showing off and wearing armor made of glittering beauty and colorful silks and bold makeup, instead of comfortable cardigans and twitching hands and quiet. 

speaking of which: def headcanon twi magnus wasn’t always the way he is in that episode. he was a lot like canon magnus once upon a time, charismatic (well, he’s still charismatic, but like, in that bold flashy way, you know?) and open (closed off, but with the illusion of having all his cards on the table) and bold

anyway. there’s a reason. lots of reasons. mostly all the secrets he hides.

the fact that he has magic, that he’s immortal, a dusty relic of a time long gone, of an age past, clinging on past his due date. he feels like he doesn’t belong in the modern world, like he should have died with the shadow world, like he should have been sealed out with all the other demons.

the fact that he is a prince king of hell, son and slayer of the greater demon asmodeous himself. even tho he’s sealed it all away, he has a huge amount of power, both from just. originally being the son of such a powerful demon, a fallen angel, and also from managing to kill one.

i don’t think it fits with canon twi lore but i don’t care, i’m saying twi magnus was involved in the sealing of the realm, and he managed to kill asmodeous and basically absorb his power, so a) he actually did this huge incredible feat that changed the whole world, whether on purpose or not i’m not sure yet (it has something to do with asmodeous, but i’m not seeing the whole picture yet) and b) he’s actually. more powerful than canon magnus. it’s partially why he sealed away his magic for so long, he was afraid of what that power could do. 

honestly i dont have this super well thought out but i like the potential

but anyway! barely related to this! let’s get back on topic!

and. the fact that he’s trans. a decidedly more mundane secret, but still one he keeps close to his chest. he’s lived through a lot of eras with bad very transphobic times? like he’s lived through places/times with very accepting atmopshere, but he’s also lived in like, victorian england, you know? and canon magnus had a chance to be more out of his shell and open in the modern world but this magnus has completely closed himself off. he mostly talks to people other than his close friends to give them a tarot reading. he’s not like, totally cut off, i can’t imagine him like. not helping people. you know. idek. but the point is he’s more isolated. canon magnus was closed off in a lot of ways, but still surrounded by people. he had a job to do, people to protect, and parties to attend. not to mention going to pandemonium and stuff. twi magnus isn’t really doing that. man i really went on a tangent here but the point is i feel like that would contribute to how he feels about being trans. feeling isolated, having less friends to be open with and to help him you know? in my experience it’s a lot harder to feel like. valid? without that sense of community. even with a few close friends, it’s hard. if you’re “passing”, which magnus is, it feels like a secret.

Hey guys! I thought I’d let you all know that I’ve updated A Holiday Experience! Chapter 5 is out now. I hope you all enjoy it.

This chapter shows how Marinette and her family prepare for the extended holiday time with Adrien, half the time at his house. 

Day 5: The Dupain-Cheng’s Prepare

Marinette was working on gathering her bag, one of a few actually, for the stay at Adrien’s throughout the break. Her parents had discussed some ideas and thought it would be a good idea to split time between both their beloved home and Adrien’s empty one. They hoped that by spending time at both locations, Adrien could have a Christmas to remember. A good one after his mother disappeared. Her parents were gathering some bakery goods to take over for the initial dinner tonight at Adrien’s place before they would figure out the sleeping areas and places they would be in charge of decorating as a family for the holiday. Their own home had been holiday decorated for a few weeks, her father being the overly excited one of the family to have decorations spread about.

      “Marinette! You almost ready?” Her mother had called up to her, not bothering to climb the ladder to her room.

      “Yes Maman!” She called back, settling the remaining bag at the front of her trap door. It would make things easier to throw them out of her room and down the corridor before trying to carry them all down at once. She looked over to where her sewing machine was, wishing she could bring it along with her so she could work on the gifts she wanted to make everyone. She had thought about making Adrien gloves to match the scarf, adding in smart-touch compatible fingertips. She just had to figure out if she should do it by hand or machine, and a way to get his measurements. Finally looking around and deciding she had everything for the next few days, she nodded and exited her room grabbing her bags along the way.

      “You excited cupcake?” Her dad smiled as she gathered her parents bags, heading out to the car that Adrien had sent for them to head over to his house.

      “Yes! I am Papa. Are you?” She asked her father, looking up at him with a brilliant smile.

      “Of course! I really want to help out this young man. He deserves a good holiday, from what I’ve heard. It’s the least we can do.” He patted her shoulder after they loaded their bags into the car.

      “You think they’ll have things to bake there or will we need to bring some ingredients?” Sabine asked, coming up to them with her own bags and a neatly wrapped gift box.

      “They should, and if not we can always make a quick run back here.” Marinette looked down at her mother with a gentle smile.

      “I guess that is true.” Sabine smile softly, chuckling as she covers her mouth. “Are you excited to be spending time with Adrien?” Her eyes lit up with a knowing look. Marinette felt her cheeks warm and heat up at the thought of her parents knowing the crush on Adrien, but with the way her room was, she couldn’t blame them.

      “Yes. I feel like we and our friends will be able to give him a great holiday. I know he deserves one especially since his mother disappeared.” Marinette explained, they all arranged the stuff in the car and shut the trunk.

      “Well! It looks like we are good to go!” Her dad spoke excitedly, dusting his hands off like he just completed baking. “You have everything?” Marinette thought, looking at everything.

      “How bout I run up just to make sure?” She suggested to her parents who nodded, opening the car and trying to figure out the best way to sit. Marinette jogged inside, Tikki phasing through her purse to look at Marinette. “Would you be so kind?” She asked and with a slight giggle, Tikki phased through the building up towards their home. Marinette had made it to the stairs when Tikki had phased back to her.

      “There are three bags left by the door. Other than that, it seems like you guys have gotten everything.” The little sprite spoke happily to Marinette who patted her head gently.

      “Thanks Tikki!” She pulled out her phone and headed up the stairs. She sent a quick message to Adrien letting him know they were finishing up loading the car and would be headed that way soon. She entered their apartment, discovering no one had locked the door. She quickly gathered everything outside of the door, locking the handle and looked over at Tikki. “Do you think you could possibly lock the deadbolt?” Marinette asked kindly. “I’ll start heading down.” She waited for the kwami’s head to nod before she began heading down the stairs to the door that lead to the outside that wasn’t connected to the bakery. By the time she arrived, Tikki had already arrived and phased into her purse, opening the door and pushing one of the bags out.

      “Oh! If we knew, I would’ve came up to help you!” Tom said, rushing over to his daughter and helping by grabbing the bag she was pushing with her toes.

      “It really isn’t a problem Papa.” She smiled as her phone dinged, alerting her of a text message. Once everything was finally settled and they entered the car, she was able to check the text message. Adrien had replied and was excited for when they would get there. A small smile formed on the girls lips, thinking of how to make this holiday break all that more exciting. Maybe they could go ice skating! But just them two this time. She wasn’t going to make the mistake of inviting other people again. Maybe it’ll actually become a date this time.

      “Do you know when it’ll start snowing, Marinette?” Her mom asked, looking out the window and up at the sky.

      “I don’t Maman. But it should be soon.” Marinette glanced up at the sky, it was a delicate blue. “Probably not today, though.”

      “Ok. I figured we could make the homemade cocoa on the first night of snow.” Her mom explained, smiling at her daughter from where she sat beside her.

      “Yeah, I like that. And maybe make some gingerbread cookies?” She suggested, already thinking of fun ways to decorate them. Her mom giggled, smiling as she looked over at her again.

      “You think Adrien will be able to handle that much sweets?” Her mom asked her, raising an eyebrow. “The boy does seem to lvoe to eat.”

      “Yeah, I’m sure he will. He is on that strict modeling diet but he’s got ways of keeping his shape like fencing and a rock-climbing wall in his room. So it shouldn’t be a problem.” Marinette explained the reasoning. She looked up and saw them arriving at the house, the gates opened to allow entry to the car. ‘Deep breath Marinette. It’ll be ok.’ She thought to herself, trying to sooth some of the nerves that were already trying to show. ‘This is for Adrien to have a wonderful Christmas.’ She looked determined out the window, the car coming to a stop in front of the front door, seeing Adrien exit the house wearing the blue scarf she created for his birthday the past year. The family filed out of the car, waving happily at Adrien as they gathered their things, the blonde of the house came running over to them to help.

      “Welcome! I hope you guys enjoy your time here. I’ve got a few rooms ready and it’s up to you where you al would want to stay.” His smile lit up all the way to his eyes, causing the family to smile warmly at him.

      “Wonderful, son! Now, show us the way to the bedrooms so we can unpack and start the fun thing called baking!” Her dad exclaimed happily as he unloaded the trunk.

      “Of course Mr. Dupain!”

      “Please, call me Tom! Or dad number 2!” Tom chuckled, winking at the model who blushed slightly.

      “O-Ok T-Tom. Here, let me help some!” He went to grab one of her mother's bags and one for her father. He lead the way into the house as Marinette slung her backpack on and picked up two of her bags, following in behind her mother.

      “Oh wow.” Sabine spoke softly once they entered the house. It looked freshly decorated, smelled of wood and pine. The atmosphere was completely different than when Marinette had visited in the past.

 “I see that you’ve already got some work done with the christmas decorations, my boy!” Her dad looked around excitedly, she could already see the wheels turning about how to further the decorations.

 “Please don’t go too overboard this year Papa.” Marinette warned with a slight laugh and shake of her head.

 “Overboard? Is there really such a thing with the size of this place?” Adrien had asked with a smile. It was really a simple question but it was the look he gave Marinette that sent her heart on a roller coaster.

“Y-Yeah there papa Is. There Is with Papa.” She stumbled over her words, sensing the heat rise in her face. “He loves decorating. One reason baging is- baking is good for him.”     “Ah so you must have got your creativeness from him!” Adrien smiled happily before turning and leading them down the hallway, one Marinette hadn’t been down before. “So, I was thinking that while it’s just you guys here, you could have your own little wing-hallway place. And maybe when others come to stay, you could move down to another hallway Marinette. Cause I’m sure when Alya and Nino arrive, your parents wouldn’t want to be kept up by us.” Adrien rambled, his ears turning a little red from behind.

 “I would be ok with that. What about you two? Maman? Papa?” Marinette asked her parents, she could feel the heat around her neck now at the thought of moving to be closer to Adrien. Maybe over the break, he and her could have a sleepover! That would be so much fun.

 “I don’t see why not when Alya and Nino are here.” Maman nodded happily.

 “And in the meantime, we can have our little family in the same area still while keeping you company Adrien!” Papa said with a chuckle in his voice, the group coming to a stop in front of a few rooms.

 “Ok, awesome! So here are the rooms I’ve prepared for you guys, there is a bathroom in each. Uh, yeah. You can choose whichever ones you want!” Adrien smiled widely, gesturing with a bag towards the rooms in front of him. The family looked at him then the rooms, slowly looking around into the rooms offered to them. Marinette looked into the first room on the left, seeing light lavender and blue room. She actually liked the design of it, looked comfortable and homey. Her parents were looking into a yellow and dark blue room, nodding to themselves as thought about the room.

 “I like this room. What about you Tom?” Her mom looked up at her dad, smiling as she patted his arm.

 “Oh I think this will do splendidly!” He claps happily and looks around the room, entering and rubbing his hands together. “Plenty of room to decorate also!”

 “Don’t over do it hunny.” Her mom said, looking up at him.

 “Honestly, it’s all good. I want you guys to make it home! Mr. Dupain, you can decorate the room however you wish!” Adrien speaks happily, heading in to their room, setting down some of their bags. Marinette turns and heads to get her bag. As she bends down, hand extended, she bumps heads with Adrien, causing them to pop back up, rubbing their heads.

 “Sorry!” They said in unison, their cheeks lighting up with blush. They head back down, both squatting this time, and both hands arrive at the same handle at the same time. “Sorry!” They say, retracting their hands quickly, Adrien’s going up to rub the back of his neck.

 “Hey, it’s just like the Mecha Strike 3 Tournament practice.” He looked up at her, his hair lightly falling into his eyes.

 “Ye-Yeah is it. I-I mean it is.” Marinette responded, heat rising up more over her cheeks this time. “Can’t remember believe, can’t remember you - Can’t believe you remember that.”

 “Of course I do! I got to play a awesome game with a amazing friend!” Marinette’s eyes widened.      ‘He just called me a amazing friend!’  

 “Oh Well great!” Marinette quickly dropped down and grabbed her bag, holding it to her chest as she blushed, wanting to hide behind it.

 “I got this one.” Adrien smiled, grabbing not just one, but two bags, one was a suitcase with wheels. “Which room did you decide on?” He asked kindly, smiling at her happily.

 “This one.” She replied, standing in the doorway. He nodded and lead her inside the room, disposing her bags on the stool-bench at the end of the bed.

 “Alright. Well, I’ll let you guys get settled, and go check on the kitchen and make sure they have everything for you guys.” Adrien smiled, looking down a little bit.

 “Ok.” Marinette smiled, depositing her bag with the other two, waiting and turning around right before he exits the door. “Adrien, wait.” He turned around, smiling as he looks at her.

Today has been…bad.

That’s the only word Harry can use to describe it. 

He’s just about ready to give up on songwriting altogether, his brain having betrayed him in the most treacherous of ways. Harry stares at you for far too long, until you finally clear your throat and say in a tight, clipped voice. “Where’s Jeff?”

“Went home fo’ the night,” Harry replies, his voice scratchy and dry. He feels like he’s just swallowed a bag of cotton balls. “‘M the only one left.”

“Shame,” you murmur, pursing your lips and muttering, “I was gonna discuss some ideas for your merchandise with him.”

You let out a soft sigh, taking a step back out of the room and turning around. Harry’s eyes widen, and he feels you slipping through his fingers, feels his opportunity sliding away from him at an exponential pace. “Wait!” he says suddenly, the word getting caught in his throat.

You peer at him from over your shoulder, your lips turned down into a faint scowl. “What is it?”

“I–,” Harry hesitates, because what the hell was he supposed to say to you? He didn’t think he’d get this far; his mouth just acted without checking with his brain first, and great, now he looks like a complete moron.

“I can’t write songs,” he blurts out, rubbing at his tired eyes and pouting. Your brow furrows, and the features of your face are contorted by a mixture of confusion and disgust. You shake your head, looking extremely inconvenienced by this interaction.

“You’ll figure it out,” is all you say. Harry’s frown only deepens.

“No,” he stresses, his hands coming up to tug at the roots of his hair. He lets out a frustrated groan, squeezing his eyes shut. “Like, I think I’m blocked or summat. Haven’t–haven’t been able to write anything today.”

You roll you eyes. “That’s great, Harry, but how am I supposed to help you with that? Go out and get laid, maybe you’ll find some inspiration.”

And with that, you tuck a strand of hair behind your ear and walk away.

Harry’s mind is reeling. He’s clutching his notebook so tightly that his knuckles are turning white. Your words echo through his head like a mantra, and before he knows what he’s doing, he’s practically tripping over himself as he chases after you.

“Wait!” he calls out again, stumbling along the hall, “Bloody hell, slow down!”

You’re about to round the corner when his words ring out, and you freeze, letting out an annoyed sigh when you turn to face him. You seem to be biting your tongue against a particularly snappy comment, and Harry admires your self-control. He knows that he could easily have you fired with a flick of his fingers, and he knows that you know it too. 

“What?” you ask, obviously aggravated by his constant pestering. He stops in front of you, stepping forward until your back is pressed against the wall. His hands reach out to splay firmly against the space beside your head, effectively boxing you in.

“Let me–,” he takes a deep breath, “–please, lemme…need t’feel useful, just lemme–”

He breaks off, ducking his head into the crook of your neck and nosing your hair out of the way. His lips begin to sponge soft kisses along the column of your throat, tongue licking tenderly at the skin. You’re stiff for the first few seconds before deciding that you’ll allow him to continue on.

reactions to Haikyuu season 4 “To the Top” ep1-5

6:18 PM 3/9/2020 HAIKYU‼ TO THE TOP Episode 1 – Introductions I was reluctant to watch this right now, because this series was a big deal to me, and I just wanted to watch something light, that I didn't have to pay attention to, while i eat...  But my watchlists are outdated and I had been meaning to watch this FOR A WHILE NOW.  Whenever I watch something intense or important to me, I feel like I have to set aside all this time and focus, and carefully document every reaction I have, so I can look back at my fandom in later years for this precious milestone of nostalgia,...  Bu treally, it's just making me postpone a series that I love.  I can't keep doing that.   Acchan.  New side character, huh?   I'm so glad to hear Burnout Syndromes again.  In Haikyuu.  They were great in Dr. Stone.   I'll admit, I wasn't looking forward to season 4 when I found out the director changed and they changed the character designs to more closely emulate the manga-ka.  Because...I actually preferred the anime character designs from season 1-3..!  I have a habit of this.  Atsuko Nakajima's anime character designs for Get Backers were better than the manga-ka.  I preferred Sengoku Basara's anime character designer, over the original videogames' designs...  It's just a thing with me.  Please don't kill me.   I'm so glad Yachi Hitoka's poster turned out so cool!  *o* I like how this series can relax intos ridiculousness like making a big deal out of measuring their heights.  lol "I order you to shrink, Tsukishima!"  Tanaka...!  LOL   I missed your sudden outbursts after your sudden coolenss, Noya-san! I love how this once scene at the end of season 3 is being stretched out to have so much weight.  ^-^   So many handstands, Noya-san.  lol Yup, Tsukishima.  Everyone reviewing season 3 kept saying Tsukishima really shined.  Also, Ukai said at the end of the match that Tsukishima was the MVP.   Evil Kageyama grin! LOL  I was going to enjoy the humor in it, but then that somber music kicked in.  o_o So they're still having practice matches against other schools in that montage? Oh no...Kageyama can't read all the kanji??  lol Waiat a sec.  Shiratorizawa, Aoba Josai, Date-tech...?  Oh, it's the first year special camp. Cute!  They finally brought the little chibi crows into the anime!  ^o^  Good idea to use them for the commerical break bumpers.   LOL  Tsukishima is suddenly filling in Kageyama's "yelling 'BAKA!' at Hinata" role1  LOL Well, I do want to see all these different schools students interact with Hinata in training camp settings.   I like that NOya is praising Hinata's crazy infiltration.  ^^; OMG  Takeda-sensei angry...!  O~O! Bowed right into the desk!  LOL Well, I guess if the host school's coach says it's ok, then Hinata is ok to hang around?? "Wakatoshi-kun"?  Why "-kun"?  Are they rivals?  Friends?   Well, that got me fired up. Nothing without Kageyama?  Don't make me laugh.  This is what I was excited about the different school mixing interactions for. I want to see Hinata meet this challenge.  Actually, this reminds me of Shokugeki No Soma when Tadokoro Megumi was just relegated to washing dishes during the stagiaire, but even from that position, she could make valuable observations and give invaluable input.  I suspect that even if Hinata is technically just the "ball boy", he'll learn an amazing amount.  And frankly, if he jumps to retrieve the balls, especially with his running speed, that'll probably hype up the players to want to challenge him.   But I've actually wanted to see Hinata work with Oikawa, and see how Oikawa would use Hinata's athleticism.   Sounds like an important thesis statement.  "Skills and talents arne't meant ot be had.  They're meant to be shown."   I love how proud Hinata is, even of being ball boy, like he's unfettered by doubts. 7:03 PM 3/9/2020 End of ep.  I can relax.  Maybe I should re-watch without taking reaction notes? ===================================================================== 7:05 PM 3/9/2020 HAIKYU‼ TO THE TOP Episode 2 – Lost I really dislike all this talk of just praising how tall all the players are.  All the one's the dialogue has picked out so far, are the ones with the least skill.  There are already impressive players, who just aren't as tall. Are these coaches in the back from the other schools. I like that one of them is saying it's be a waste to ignore Hinata because he's short and not turn him into a wing spiker. I love how Hinata is just staring and absorbing everything.   Oh, yeah.  Hinata's serves are the thing he needs to work on the most.   I like how Hinata hitting the ball against the wall by himself calls back to when he had to practice by himself all during jr. high.   I'm pretty sure Hinata is apologizing because he's going to ask Tsukishima to practice with him.  That's the type of audacious, crazy thing I'd expect from Hinata.  lol Chubby bird!  ^o^ Glad it seems like Ukai understand there's something Hinata can learn even from being a ball boy. Is thatt the vice principal?  He's afraid of angry-Takeda-sensei too???  LOL!!! I love how instead of getting angry, Hinata is just impressed by everyone.  Even when Goshiki clearly tried to insult him by stealing the ball before Hinta.   This is strange.  Why is Hinata shaken by Ushijima asking why he's even there?  I thought Hinata already figured out he could get good practice, even as just the ball boy, and even just by observing?   Well, he "fell"?  And then Goshiki walks by...~.~;;;;;   That's the Hinata focused face! 7:41 PM 3/9/2020 Aw, man!  I want to keep watching!  Noooooooooo~!  I have stuff to doooooooooo!  ;o;!! What else is Production I.G. animating this season?  Because this ending theme is almost ALL stills, like they had no budget for it.  Whereas, most of the ending themes for the other seasons were animated.  Maybe they realized how much better the episodes are when they pour the money from the ending theme budget, into the episodes instead? Forgot to note i lvoe the joke about NOya crashing into Tanaka. lol ======================================================== 7:43 PM 3/9/2020 HAIKYU‼ TO THE TOP Episode 3 – Perspective Go get that Growth, Hinata!  Evne if you have to scrape on your hands and knees!  ...Oh, now I get the first image in the new opening theme.   Hey, if I have to rewind to read a subtitle that got interrupted by the commercial break, and it crashes again, I'm going to start to get annoyed that the commercial breaks keep coming in the middle of dialogue.   HINATA!  ---Oh!  He caught it!  ^O^   OMG LOL  Does Goshiki really not know how to deal with Hinata's compliments?!  LOL!!!!  Oh, I see...He's starved for compliments at Shiratorizawa...  LOL   Commercial.  So of course I browse Tumblr.  I forgot how little I'm on social media, while I'm engrossed in an anime.  I need to watch more of my watchlist.   I lvoe that this show has gone on long enough for little callbacks to mean a lot.  6-6 Almost didn't recognize Tanaka's body language.  He's almost never jsut standing straight.   Oh, right!  Tokonami is where Daichi's old friend plays now. FINALLY.  A solidly rendered close-up.  Hinata's face.  I know they changed character designs this season and it does seem to be more flexible to accomodate more motion and expressiveness in the animation...But it's just not as cool as these soldily rendered shots, that used to be almost all the fames in seasons 1-3.   OMG  Is Kageyama keeping up with the All-Japan group??  I thought I saw a spoiler from this part a long time ago, and he was having trouble keeping up?  I'd like it if he was keeping up though. I love that Date-tech's freshman is being all genki in the same frame as Hinata.  Double genki!!!  ^O^ They all want to block Hinata?  I think this is what I wanted to see, when Hinata crashed the training camp, but I forgot about when he got into training as ball boy. So Hinata is the best practice you could get vs a spiker because he can read blockers better than anyone else? I'm glad Kageyama is having a good time.  He doesn't intimidated; he gets excited. Omg  This kid *wants* Kageyama to get intimidated?  Ladies and gentlemen, we have our running gag comedy relief. a little rant i guess

so tb h i just wanna get this out so-- kinda gonna be a tab bit long (c ryin ghow do i do the cut thing--) anyways yeeee ______________________________________________ so Fire Emblem Heroes. now, it doesn’t begin with th at. let’s go back a bit to when i played Fire Emblem Awakening cough a few months ago cause i wasn’t able to get it before then cough. sooo i got it and was like “well this is p neat” right,  and, i knew Donnel was in the game, but i didn’t know you had to get him through a paralogue-- so then, i was like “blah blah yeah i’m on Chap 9″ while talking with a friend, and he was all like “o shitto go get Donnel” an d so i did fast forward to when the battle begins. “[insert quote about getting him up a level or else he won’t join your team]”. i wa s  like “mmk can’t be that hard, since he’s only level one”. i went up to corner and take out the archer. Donnel got oneshotted and “*viciously inhales*” so i restarted it i ended up getting him up the level but i never used him, since he was prettyy underleved compared to my units and the enemies.  th en let’s skip time to about a week 1/2 later. i was watching a video with all the character’s confessions to the avatar aka tha t really cute and sweet pic with a nice phrase about love. i was like. “mkmk”. i r eally only wanted to watch it cause i knew i would never get all of them myself wink wink i married Ricken cause he’s a sweet smol boi. then boOm .  i love ya. i don’t reckon i could live without ch’ya! let’s me and you settle down on the farm i wh Eeezed. i started c rying in laughter i cra cked me up so much i jus so, my thought was “o h my jesus Donnel is jus t” so, i didn’t like Donnel, but i also liked Donnel.  do es that even make since i’m ,,,, anyways, Donnel wasn’t one of my best bois, but he was k *time skip to when i started playing Heroes* sooo i was p late to the FE Heroes too-- and, when i started playing it i was like “n oice”  (off topic but my first 5 star was an off focus Julia and i’  m lvoe her) so, i played through it and did some summonings. probably like 20 - 30.  two of them. two. 4 star. Donnel’s. i didn’t really know how to feel, but i know i wasn’t gonna use him, but i also didn’t want to send him home.  i ended up sending them home. now, another skip to when the Voting Gauntlet focus thing was up. i reeaallllllyy wanted Hinoka, so i decided to do some summoning. i had 5 orbs, and one blue orb. 4 star Donnel. later on, i got 9 more orbs, and did two summonings, one blue (since there was only one blue orb), one colorless. another one. another 4 ffuck in star Donnel.  though i did get a 4 star Lucius, so i held back my saltiness.  just now, aka earlier, the Gauntlet ended so the events were ended too. i got the 20 orb bonus today, and did some summonings in the Spring Event before it ended. two 4 stars and three 3 stars. i was like “mmk whatever” and did the thing where you use Cecilia to get 5 orbs. i got the 5 orbs. i inhaled, prayed, and wished for a green orb, since i was going for Camilla. 2 blue. 2 red. 1 colorless.  i was about to throw my phone across the room. but then, i remembered i only had bunny Xander, and that i could get bunny Lucina. 

y’know that thing called a gut feeling? yeah, there was one blue at the top, and one at the bottom right. i picked the bottom right one, since i had a feeling about it.  no poof i was already salty enough about not getting anything good b ut guess what guess w h A T. 3 star Donnel. i kinda just sat there, looking down at the screen. like a scene from an anime where the main character just watched something horrid happen, and their eyes cloud over from not being able to absorb it all.  then i closed it out, and was ready to doki doki slam myself against the wall b ut yeah jus t --- wh y Donnel >:’0
