For a single meme purpose, I went hard on this but I’m really proud how this came out. His face took me 2 hrs cause I couldn’t get the angle right nor the eye size. (I actually don’t know if this is a meme. Adet said on a post about ‘draw your fav like this’)
My previous art I was trying to do paint kind of shading but this cel shade? I kind of like. I’m still just testing out diff brushes so who knows. Anyways this is a reference from Ace Attorney of Miles Edgeworth.

Val is BACK
Thanks <3 I appreciate it.
Tbh I’m the costume departments favorite undergrad, I work there for money and take basically exclusively theater classes. My most favorite project so far was costuming a period piece about Isabella Stewart Gardner (original play reading, so not as high production as a full show but still cool).
My dream project is basic, but I feel like I could do wonders with any shakespeare play of any directorial style. True Historical Period? I love that shit. Utter fantasy with no consideration of class or gender? Hell yes. Inspired by a particular artist or movement? I’m making grabby hands already. I’m so serious I love how distant classical theater is from modern artistic considerations and how freeing that is.
Id also love to costume any show from a single subculture - ie a full goth show, full punk show, etc.
Also not that I think I could do any better than B Akerlund, but the costumes on Ghost (the band) make me insane. I need those outfits carnally
Btw I’m glad life is going good for you, I forgot to put this in the middle ask.
It’s okay lol.
That’s fascinating! I haven’t been to see a stage show in years. Honestly couldn’t say what the last one I went to was.
I would love to act on a production big enough where the costume was tailored more towards my body type and what character I’m playing instead of just “here’s what we have what size are you”, but I’ve still had a lot of fun!
We have a very old opera house where I grew up where a lot of shows have been put on and the whole place is truly stuck in time with dressing rooms and halls that feel straight out of something that was built over a century ago.
I know Ice Nine Kills sells the mask and prop for their main character who I was for Halloween last year, I’ve also seen people make their favorite Spencer costume that he wears on stage to wear for Halloween before too. I’m much more into the music video side of things so I do love seeing the costumes there, especially bands like Motionless in White who really go all-out with hair and makeup.
