i know that it’s just bc it’s a ~family~ show and non-violence is the name of the game on doctor who but its SO stupid that ten gets mad at tentoo for killing all the daleks in the s4 finale like girl the daleks are the ‘genocide is out only purpose’ race. can you get it together. its okay if he genocides them. okay. idiot.

#talked abt this with will whenever we got yo the finale and im so glaf im not insane for yhinking this.#it’s like. you could have just left it unaddressed (like usual!) that he did genocide and no one would have even blinked. but noooo we #needed a reason to put him in rose’s dimension so that she could ‘fix’ him. as is her duty as a woman i guess. whatever.#mi #the tentoo/rose stuff is sooooo like… taking it at face value/optimistically it’s nice that they have each other or whatever and its clearly #meant to be sweet. but if you think abt it longer then two seconds its just so :| YIKES…. a lot of it comes down to autonomy #like rose’s autonomy is ignored completely she does not get a choice. a bit evil. not gonna get into it but it’s the same with donna’s #memory wipe. and this matters less to me but i think it’s still important but tentoo’s autonomy is also ignored! which is interesting #i was joking when i said to will that ‘tentoo is a woman because he has no autonomy’ but also i was right #he’s like the sexy lamp trope for boys (sci-fi macguffin edition)#or ig not a macguffin. whats the word for the trope thats like [thing or person] that exists to solve the plot but doesn’t really matter #outside of that #anyway. i feel like both rose’s and donna’s endings would feel less misogynistic if they weren’t in tandem #with each other. or at least donna’s would. roses i think would still read as misogyny just like. less of a patterned one #donnas would read more as a straight tragedy and not have the skeevy undertone without being paired with roses #mixed feelings on both for sure! as character choices it all tracks and makes me 😭😭😭😭 but as a media literate feminist… 😐😒🤨#wHELL these tags got a bit off topic. whoops. i dont care yho. enjoy the second; secret post
