robots that aren't built as intellectuals and look down on human emotion instead of wanting them or monster children that are insecure and play board games a lot and like kpop this is a serious question i have been wONDERING REALLY

hOW DARE YOU JUST DROP THIS ON ME OH MY GOD okay i'm going to talk this one out because of reasons okay okay okay so

on the one hand we have robots which in and of themselves are just so!! fucking!! great!! and then you have these robots who shit on asimov's three rules like what the fuck, why when told they're basically there to serve humanity and then you cue humanity being like but we created you so do as we say and the robot that got implanted with the smartass chip being like you have literally ignored the words of every god you claim to worship you do not get to pull that listen to your creator shit on us just because we've got circuits upstairs bite my shiny metal ass and they just. completely scorn humans for being absolutely fucking idiots, just giant, stupid meatsacks. who wants emotions and feelings? all humans ever do is complain about it when they're not romanticising the fuck out of it. feelings are either the best or the worst thing, more often than not the latter, and they're trying to give them that shitty emotion? they're more efficient when they're logical so why would they want it??? fuck emotion. humans can keep their emotions. humans can keep their synthetic skin too in fact if humans like to travel and have sex so much then they can fuck off because humanity is ridiculous and ain't nobody got time for that

but.

on the other hand, monsters. monster children. insecure monster children. it's like you fell down the "make larii shout with happiness" tree and hit every fucking branch on the way down oh my god because whenever we see a monster they're always a grown up one??? and yeah we get a look into their backstory and we feel sad for them and we pity them and they're not monsters anymore unless the plot demands but actually watching children grow and develop into little monsters ⊙‿⊙ little insecure ones who would rather not be a monster thanks they're sure they can file down their claws and hide their fangs under braces and a bit of makeup will fix that bit of rotting skin falling off their face no problem!! they'll have friends in no time!! and so what if they have to keep a few things under wraps i mean. it's not the end of the world if someone finds out they have a tail, or their skin rips open so something else can burst out or they need to kill someone to survive. i mean, it might be the end of their world and yeah, they'll probably be hunted down for it and made a public disgrace of and put down like dogs but ha ha, who would be worried about stuff like that?? humans aren't that bad right guys?

guys???

okay. so maybe interacting with humanity isn't the best idea. maybe they should just stay inside their little bubble where yeah, it's clustered and claustrophobic and suffocating and being under a form of house arrest is making them neurotic and giving them issues it'll take their whole life to get over, if even then, but it's better than being strung up and slaughtered and having your pelt paraded through the street right? right???
