french people like to say their grand parents were resistants during ww2 when we know most were not, praise them for their resistant act (which included exploding bridges and train tracks and sometimes killing people) but when it happens nowadays when we're in a state that supports genocide along with being on the brink of dictature, in a social political and economical climate that's so tense a spark would light the whole country aflame, it's bad ? fuck off

they didn't hurt anyone they just made travel more difficult during olympics who cost a fortune aren't accessible to average citizen (the cheapest ticket for the opening ceremony is 900€ ?????) when schools and hospitals are crumbling

#my great grandpa was in the resistance we live in north east france where shit was REALLY bad #someone snitched on him and he was taken to a concentration camp #he was freed later by americans and recieved the highest honor with the legion d'honneur medal #so yeah #he was a hero and people fighting for our rights and our democracy rn are too
