Eddie running low on money before Christmas so he decides to advertise that he’s doing portraits for pay. Karen Wheeler commissions him to draw Holly (she knows he’s a good kid, Nancy and Mike have known him for a while and he’s always got impeccable manners when he’s over. She heard him say something about his uncle teaching him that ‘munsons have manners dammit eddie’) and Eddie accepts because hey, money! And it’s an easy gig. Well, he thinks it is until his brain won’t focus so when he delivers the drawing he’s nervous so he gives it to Holly and books it.

Karen gets home and Holly is running up to her, waving a piece of paper in her mom’s face

‘Mom!! Look what Eddie did!!!’

So Karen takes it to have a look and it’s certainly Holly alright. It’s Holly with wings and pure black eyes, riding a three headed dog over…is that hawkins highschool on fire?

Karen doesn’t have a chance to say anything before Holly grabs it back

‘Don’t I look so COOL?!!? This is the best present EVER!!!’

Karen can’t take the drawing away from her, don’t get her wrong. She tried. Holly screamed for half an hour solid until she got ‘the monstrosity’ (as Karen calls it back.) Needless to say Ted was never told about the drawing. Or any of the drawings after that because Holly demanded one every year after that. Eddie might have a new favourite Wheeler
