Since the tender age of 5, Star Trek has been a staple of my life, just as it was for my dad. I can’t remember a time when it wasn’t present in my life in some capacity, even though the Star Wars movies were the ones I actually watched first. ST is formative media for both of us. I spent my teen years watching TNG with him after dinner, before bed. Sometimes he pauses it and talks about the behind the scenes or just infodumps about something. We both have ADHD ejdhehdhhehehdhdh

I’m dead certain I can trace my political leanings to 1. My mom’s way of practicing Catholicism (St. Francis of Assisi stangirl), and 2. My dad’s love for Star Trek (and Star Wars.) Fuck man!!! War sucks ass!!! We should all have food and clothing and shelter and medical care and be chilling!!!
