"Do you think it's a good idea?", you asked your son, expecting him to give you a more elaborate answer, but, really, what was a five year old going to tell you? "Of course, mama. When papa sees her, he'll want to keep her too if we don't find her family", he said, full of hope.

When you, with Harriet safely strapped to your chest, and Sebastian took Angie for her walk in the afternoon, you came across a beautiful dog who started playing with yours. The street was quiet and there wasn't anyone around, and while the dog didn't look in distress, you could tell that she had had better days, and when you wanted to go back home, Sebastian was worried for her, "what if she doesn't know where her family is? She came some with us, right? We have a big house", he reasoned, eventually winning you over and taking her home with you.

When Mick got home, Aurora went straight upstairs to do her homework, leaving you and Sebastian to attempt your best at convincing him, "why is there another dog in our garden? Is it one of your colleagues'?", your husband asked, taking your silence as a clue to turn around and face you, placing his glass of water down on the kitchen island, seeing you and Sebastian sitting in two of the stools like you were about to have an important business meeting.

"Papa, when me, Harriet and mama went on our walk with Angie today", Sebastian began his explanation, "we found this dog! And she was all alone, she didn't have any friends, no dog friends or friends like us, no people, and we didn't want to leave her alone, and she followed us, too. Can we keep her?", he asked as if he had just asked him if he could have an extra cookie.

"There wasn't anyone around, and all of the neighbours said she wasn't theirs", you reasoned, "we're going to get her checked to see if someone is missing her, but if it all checks out, I don't see why she can't join our family", you said as Sebastian nodded in agreement with what you said.

"We'll get her checked out to see if there is a family, like ours, out there missing her, okay? Imagine if it was Angie and we didn't know where she was? You wouldn't let other family keep her, right?", Mick explained to his son, seeing him nod before he jetted off, "okay, but we'll keep her if we can, okay? Pretty please, papa! Look, she loves playing with Angie!", he pointed to the window before he headed upstairs.

"You made them that bossy", he retorted, chuckling as he kissed the side of your head, "your genetics made them that cute and impossible to say no to", you reasoned back, hugging your husband's waist as you looked at the two dogs playing with eachother, "but I stand by Seb's idea, she would be a good addition to the family. As much as it pains me to say it, Angie's getting old and she won't be around for much longer, and the kids would love having a dog", you noted.

"I know", he rubbed your back, "We'll see what the vet says about her microchip and we'll go from there. She looks well treated and fed, she's good around people and kids", he added, "yes, she was a bit dirty when we found her, or she found us, too, but we cleaned it off".

The next morning, you and Mick were able to drop the kids in school and Harriet at his mother's house, explaining the situation and taking the dog to your vet. A quick read of her microchip and a few phonecalls that sounded a little like made up stories, the vet agreed that the right course of action would be to send the golden retriever to the local dog kennel so she could be out up for adoption.

"Can we adopt her?", Mick asked immediately, surprising you a tiny bit, "we have Angie, as you know, and surprisingly they got along very well, and the kids like her too", he reasoned, squeezing your hand and looking at the vet, "well, it seems you have a new family, Hazel", she smiled.

"Thank you, handsome", you told your husband while the veterinary team checked how her vaccinations and deworming routines were so they could make sure she was in presteen health, "Sebastian is going to be pretty happy, I guess", he blushed, "we have a new member in the family, Hazel Schumacher", you said as you smiled at the new furry friend.

How would they react to the brothers and/or undates? I want Ciel and Luke to be friends😭 GWKSG i can 100% see them bonding over sweets while complaining about the adults calling them chihuahuas- can you imagine MC, Ciel and the purgatory hall boys having a movie night and MC and Luke are baking togheter while Ciel is watching so they let (make) him join them despite the fact that he does not know how to bake, he complained the whole time but ended up having fun anyway 🥺

Bonus if MC Is also there and literally adopts him (and he let's them!! It's MC we're talking about lol) and they're very parental towards him.

(tbh at first i wanted Ciel to take MCs place but i don't think he'll ever make any sort of pacts with demons, he already has Seb's. If he took mcs place he would also NEVER forgive Belphie when uh... Y'know... Yeah.)

Simeon has another child and he is 100% happy for it

He is totally down to co parent ciel with MC like the dilf he is

I'll Put Some Color In Your World, Boy (Red Means Love)

Okay, this is going to be a future fic.

Seb and Carlos are married, and they've been looking into adoption lately. They really want to start a family, especially Seb who grew up with so many siblings and has always wanted a family of his own. But the process for adoption isn't that simple. There is paperwork to fill out and meeting with social workers to make sure that you can provide a good home, and there's always the worry that they could be denied approval, for...various reasons.

Seb has been taking it particularly hard, for the reasons I already mentioned. Carlos is also stressed about it, of course he is, but he's not quite as depressed about it as Seb. Or maybe he's just better at hiding his disappointment when it gets delayed yet again. This week in particular it's hitting Seb hard because redlyn just announced that Ashlyn is pregnant, and he's happy for them, but he can't help being a little jealous. On top of that, his show is about to go into previews and he's been working his butt off.

So, he comes home one night and he wants to just collapse into bed, but instead of finding Carlos camped out on his laptop, he finds his husband standing in their spare bedroom (the one Seb insisted on when they bought the house, the one Seb imagined someday being occupied). He's wearing a pair of Seb's old overalls and a ratty East High Phys. Ed. t-shirt. There are cans of paint on the floor in the corner of the room and drop cloths over the furniture.

"Carlos? What's going on?" Seb asks.

"We have to paint," Carlos says. "She's going to be here next week."

"Who--Whose going to be here?" Seb blinks.

Carlos takes Seb's hands, smiling softly. "The social worker called this afternoon. We're approved."

Seb's mouth falls open. "We--We did?"

Carlos nods. "They want us to start by fostering, but if it goes well, we could permanently adopt her."

"Her?"

"Oh, um, her name's Violet." Carlos explains. "She's two years old."

Seb is in tears at this point. "Violet." He loves the name.

"So, come on," Carlos shoves a paint roller into his hands. "Let's get painting."

The color Carlos picked is Sunflower Yellow.
