my fave hc i have about walter/michigan in young jupiter time is that when ppl on the outside look in they think michigan is the scruffy, messy one and walter is the prim and proper neatfreak but no.

walter grew up as a half-feral child roaming a lab unsupervised and was told that so long as he was clean, it didn't matter what he looked like. he never combed his hair. never ironed a shirt in his LIFE until he ended up in Furlong pilot academy and michigan had to teach him how to do it. then there's the fact that walter grew up as a scrapper in a rundown industrial complex under the colony, (aka a slum) so his idea of what counted as 'tidy' was "is it filthy? no? then it's tidy".

walter's bedroom looked like a nuclear bomb hit it. michigan had to bully him into organising things into cardboard boxes at least. whenever walter escaped his neatly pressed pilot uniform he dressed like a slob. brushed his hair with his fingers after a shower. the only time he was particular about neatness was not leaving dirty dishes around, for which michigan thanked god for this small mercy.

by ac6 time, when walter had his hounds, his heavily creased shirts and insane bedhead were concealed under his heavy coat and his cap. everyone thinks "wow he's dignified looking, if intimidating..." bc the only reason he trimmed his beard was bc michigan once looked at him and said that he looked like he'd been living in a cave for five years.

walter's a mess, both literally and emotionally. he believes only in the chairdrobe and has never owned a coat hanger in his life. he still has no idea how to properly iron a shirt because michigan, in exasperation, did it for him all through Furlong academy.

michigan is the prim and proper neatfreak. walter's the scruffy slob. lmao

ok but no actually I REALLY DESPERATELY want a spinoff of HBO's Titans about Jason, mainly because I miss Curran's Jason he's so precious (it doesn't even have to be an Outlaws spinoff though I'd like it to be) but ALSO because this universe's Bruce actually DID kill the Joker for Jason! he actually went against his code of ethics FOR JASON and the Joker stayed dead! I NEED to see how this changes their dynamic, as well as every other small but significant change to Jason's character (like the being addicted to a drug he synthesized, being manipulated by Crane, etc)

and also I want to see what happens with Molly! she just up and vanished in the middle of last season with no explanation??? where was that storyline going?! (I'm aware they might still expand on this but they also do have a bad record of leaving loose ends untied, mainly because they switched hands between companies and the writers kept changing and just all the mess between seasons 1-3)

so velvet react has a system where if you get all the event furniture you can get a little extra that takes place after the event story. presentation event had them be cute and eepy on the train ride home club event had them get crunk in their dorm afterparty

usually in games like this it's everyone liking one person like eiden so it's interesting that velvet react is down to show them canonically boning each other but maybe have both be super into it next time :')

I feel a bit weird for shipping them because of the whole unethical experimentation thing, although I know there's no moral weight to shipping, and there's lots of fucked up things people ship, but this is maybe my first(?) unhealthy ship, so I'm new to it all.

ANYWAY, YES, there is so much to ship there, I'm not totally sure why I ship them? During the mission to get Michael back, when the compound Mikey found Ty and was relieved to see him, was probably one of the moments that made me ship it... Also the fact Ty seems to get some sort of gratification out of Mikey's emotional pain more than physical pain... I'm not sure if I'm making sense right now. Also Ty seems to be very susceptible to falling in love with various Mike Walters iterations. Anyway, I love fucked up scientists and their fucked up feelings. Also I think they would have nasty gay sex, given the right conditions.

im joking to hide the fact that i actually want to cry over this news btw like that book series is so genuinely genuinely for real near and dear to my heart. like this was MY childhood. this was one of the few good parts of MY childhood. this series fundamentally changed me as a person and influenced the way i write and create even now as someone in my mid 20s. grubbs has always been one of my favourite examples of character development and frankly unlikeable at times protagonists (i LOVE grubbs grady. so much. love him to bastard death) and it makes me so excited to know something ive loved so much since i was a kid is potentially getting an adaptation. i have so much im excited to see brought to life. so many demons and so many important scenes and interpretations of characters. if they dont get an actually balding man for dervish im killing someone

What Make Strickler So Special for you?

For me Jim and Claire what make them Special "

is the fact that Jim Show more emotion he wouldn't be afraid to shad a tear or two he is very emotional Person. as Someone who tend to show more emotion then most males i can relate to it. and i feel Like he is Very Special.

Claire is Probably the Darkness inside her heart , her Losing control over emotions and her hard time accepting reality. while also think the Worst things Possible is Something that i found really close to home.

That's a pretty good question! And I like you sharing your reasons for liking Jim and Claire, which are definitely some of mine too!

I can't limit my reasons for liking Strickler to one, so I'll give you my top five:

I like his complexity, he's never portrayed as black and white. He's morally grey, even when he reforms he doesn't have a complete personality change, he's still himself.

I love Strickler's dynamic with Jim. I love how they go from teacher and student, to enemies to reluctant allies, to mentor and student, then friends, and finally to family and father/son. I appriciate RoTT ONLY for consolidating their relationship a little more, and I have every reason to believe in the new timeline they'll only get closer then ever before.

I enjoy the development of Stricklake, even though it has its ups and downs because I am a shameless monster lover myself and support Barb 100%. I also appreciate that Barbara and Strickler have things to work through and it's not instantly fixed.

I like Strickler's stupid puns and sense of humour. He makes me laugh so much with his stupidness at times. (his accent does NOT help).

This is what really did it for me though: he has WINGS! As someone obsessed with dragons that was the icing on the cake for me lol.

Not sure if you're still into AC6, but if you are, do you think Michigan would help Walter learn the nuances of male socialization? Or would Walter have had most of that down by the time they met?

I'M STILL INTO AC6 DONT WORRY im just very busy with work atm and took a bit of a break to prevent burnout. I haven't had access to my computer for a week so I haven't been able to write anyways (and won't be until next week ough). So, kinda had a soft socmed break...

But! To answer your ask: Walter doesn't have the nuance down for any kind of socialisation, and it's something that Michigan did try to correct but Walter just wasn't interested. Walter's kinda interesting in that he has blinkers on regarding his life's goal, and he's very unapologetic and unbothered about his non-existent people skills. Those that accept how he is and work with him are worth more than those he can only keep onside by pretending to be someone he isn't, and while initially Michigan's pretty frustrated by this, he finds Walter's intentionally poor social skills a charm point rather than a turn off tjdjf
