#yes I know be wary of Russian propaganda and Russian bots make up a larger populace than we think#I wouldn’t put it past russian bots to gets desperate in the weirdest of ways#but some of this is definitely a little out there#also for the record#my dad IS a progressive#he just. yeah#he used to work on yachts and he’s met enough Russian oligarchs (minimum in one life span should be 0) to have some bones to pick with them#he accused hollow knight of being Russian malware because the first time I launched it I had some issues running it#and then when it did work#he saw that russian was one out of the SIX language options and freaked out a little#ironically he LOVES Australians#the subtitles one happened pretty recently#I put them on the TV cuz we had a French exchange student staying with us and I thought she might appreciate it#since he uses YouTube TV (yes I know) very often the subtitles are autogenerated#one day went downstairs and he asked what i had done to the TV#and that there were Russian words on it#and also that this had just happened a minute ago#I look over to the TV and the subs look to be in perfect American English#so I’m super confused#and he swears it just had cyrillic on it (not even sure if it wasn’t one of the many other languages that use that alphabet)#and I show him how to turn subtitles off#yeaaaaaa#more coming soon because this seems to happen a lot?
