🏫School Mates (SuzaLulu x Reader)PT 1🏫
A/N: Testing the waters with posting the few fanfic content I have out so far for one of my nine fave anime ever. This reworked piece I've had for a long while is coming out. This AU is where you're a late new student at Ashford Academy. Yeah, it's sort of a love triangle. Hopefully, I can make this short story make sense in some way. All credit for Code Geass characters and pics goes to Sunrise.
DON'T COPY OR STEAL MY FANWORK, RATHER LIKE AND REBLOG. I hope you enjoy.
"Y/n … Y/n … Y/N!"
You get awoken from your dream by the calling of your name. Your head resting on your folded arms snaps up in attention to who spoke out only to spot violet eyes trained on you, exasperatedly looking at you.
"Being the new student and sleeping during class isn't a good way to make a good impression. Be grateful you sit behind me, otherwise you'd have your neck strung out by the teacher."
You then noticed students parting as class was over "Mmm … sorry … Lelouch." You mumble sleepily as your rub your tired eyes.
Said man, Lelouch, glared a bit more before his eyes softened, sighing before running a hand through his hair. "Honestly, where would you be without me?"
"I'd be dead." You dully uttered. You get hit lightly on the head by a rolled up paper, making you pout at him. "Hey!"
"No time for jokes. Come on, the others are waiting." Lelouch put the paper in his bag before taking your hand and pulling you to your feet, dragging you behind him.
"Lelouch, I can walk to the student council room just fine without you dragging me like a rag doll." You pitifully moaned as you felt sparks run through your hand as his held yours tighter taking the lead.
"You've been attending here for weeks now and you still get lost in these halls." Lelouch reminded you in matter of fact tone. His tone made you stick your tongue out with his back facing you. "And I'd quit sticking my tongue out if I were you or else you'll attract flies."
"Come on, Lelouch. Cut her some slack. She's still a late transfer, after all." An amused voice lightly chided as your free hand was held by a callous, warm hand that easily pulled you free from Lelouch's grip. "I got your back, Y/n." You turned around to see Suzaku in time as he gently bumped your shoulder with his fist, smiling carefree.
"My knight in shining armor," you softly cheered as you hugged Suzaku's arm, giving a closed eye smile as both guys blushed as they thought it was one of the cutest smiles they've ever seen. "Thank you."
"You're welcome." Suzaku laughed a bit, smiling toothily back at you.
"If you two are going to flirt in my face, I'm not sticking around to watch." Lelouch rolled his eyes, he almost sounded like he was jealous; especially when deep down he didn't like you hugging Suzaku's arm in his presence. And he didn't know he would feel that sort of emotion over such a silly thing. But he couldn't keep a small smile from growing on his face as he shook his head to clear those ridiculous thoughts. "Come on, you two."
When you did arrive …
"Okay everyone, time for GUTS~!" Milly was loud and flamboyant as always.
"Aw come on, Prez! Another guts spell right from the start?" Rivalz complained, even though underneath he was secretly swooning for her hard.
"Um … hello …" Nina was typing at her computer, being meek as usual.
"Nice of you three to finally show up." Kallen said nonchalantly.
"Hi, Lulu~! Ready for another day of good old student council work~!?" Shirley ran over to greet Lelouch, teeming with a giddy, enthusiastic personality.
"Ready as always. You all should know that by now." Lelouch smiled charmingly, making Shirley almost swoon as the meeting commenced.
As the daily meeting began and went on for an hour and a half, you couldn't help but have your eyes travel around the room, landing on each single person. Every person here welcomed you into their school lives and their personal lives in some way.
Milly was as flirtatious as she was dramatic in her own lovable way.
Rivalz crushing on the pres hard while also being a goofball.
Nina, well, she was a shy introvert but a genius beneath … even though there were times you felt suspicious towards her.
Shirley, such an upbeat, enthusiastic girl with a good heart even though she's obviously falling hard for Lelouch and making it so obvious to everyone.
And Kallen, looks calm and mysterious on the surface but you had a feeling there was more to her and you had no idea why but you kinda like her for it. They slowly but surely became the first ever friends you ever made.
Soon, the meeting ended and you walked between Lelouch and Suzaku to the clubhouse which is also Lelouch's home on campus that he shared with his maid Sayako; you get the impression there was more to her like with Kallen as someone not to underestimate, and his little sister Nunnally … she was like the little precious sister you never thought you wanted; spending quality time with her especially when Lelouch was away doing his own thing.
Speaking of, Lelouch and Suzaku even … they were like two sides of the same coin. Two peas in a pod. So similar yet so different in their own respective ways. Lelouch is the brains, Suzaku is the brawn, but put them together … there's nothing they can't accomplish. You couldn't have one without the other and you wouldn't have it any other way.
In fact, it was Lelouch himself that allowed you to live with him and his sister in the clubhouse and asked Milly to convince her grandfather to allow it since the dorms on campus were already full. You may not remember much of your life before coming here, but a lot of meaning was brought back into your life, gaining new memories and a new life instead.
'So, why do I still have this nagging feeling in the back of my mind … this added pressure deep within my heart for how I feel towards these two guys … seems familiar. Whether it's good or bad … I don't know.'
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
"I like pancakes with marshmallows on top~! Heeheehee~! Yippee~! Whee~!" You blurted out randomly, causing Nunnally to laugh gleefully as she clapped, making you laugh too. You had just finished dinner with Nunnally and the guys; Suzaku was invited to eat over since he's their occasional guest as well as their childhood friend, and you were currently playing with Nunnally's hair. From the moment you met her, your heart instantly melted at the pure innocence that is Nunnally Lamperouge that compelled you to protect the precious girl with all your might!
"Oh, I'd love to try that sometime! Can we?" Nunnally had hope laced in her voice.
"Your wish is my command, my lady." Lelouch smiled charmingly, bowing before his little sister, making her giggle.
"I second that request, please." You raised your hand, smiling bashfully.
"At your service, my lady." Suzaku appeared by your side, also bowing to you, making your cheeks heat up and feel all fluttery inside. His eye closed smile radiated sunshine that is this wholesome boi.
As Lelouch gathered the empty plates to take to the kitchen to clean them up, you noticed him stopping to side glance at you, nodding his head for you to follow, before walking through the doorway. "I um … I'll be back in a bit, Nunna."
"Okay. Suzaku, do you want to make paper cranes with me? Miss Sayako and I were working on some earlier."
"That sounds fun. I'd love to." Seeing him gaze affectionately at her like another older brother to her made your heart skip a beat before you walked to the kitchen.
You spotted Lelouch's back to you as he washed the dishes. You slowly approached him, feeling nervous as you wondered what he wanted. You rubbed your arm as you do when you're anxious. The sound of his voice made you halt in your tracks.
"You and Nunnally have gotten closer over time. It feels like just yesterday when I met you; a meek new girl to our class. And yet, as days passed by, that very same girl became a part of our daily lives. As a school mate, then a student council member, and now a friend. For what was once hollow is now becoming whole again. At least, that's my basic sum of it."
You felt your stomach tie itself in knots as you timidly approached him, "And now?"
You watched as the reflection of his calm face in the window above the sink looked back at you; his violet eyes twinkling with speculation, before looking over his shoulder, now looking amused. "You look like a scared little thing with that look on your face. Relax. I'm not gonna bite."
"A – Are you sure about that?" You gulped audibly.
"I'm serious. I'm grateful to you for being here for Nunnally in my stead. Don't get me wrong. I'm grateful to Sayako and the student council being around to spend time with her when I'm busy with stuff … and I don't say this as much as I should … but … thank you." The smile he gave to you felt genuine and it made your heart flutter.
"It – it's fine. Nunnally … she's an absolute angel. And I'm grateful to her and you and everyone for accepting me into the student council and your friend group – !"
You stop speaking mid sentence. You froze, stunned in shock at the feel of lips pressed against your cheek. It took you a minute before you blinked your eyes back into focus from the daze you were in. "Consider this my gift to you."
You slowly raised your hand to touch your cheek; the tingling feeling where his lips touched your skin made something within you click into place. Your eyes traveled to meet his; you swore you just saw them glow magenta for a moment there. But his eyes were fine. Very fine in your opinion as you became lost in their beautiful violet sea; almost like delving deep into his soul and searching for something beyond your understanding.
You felt an unfathomable pull to him, making you lean closer as you noticed he did the same when the realization that Lelouch kissed your left cheek made you snap out of it; face aflame as you covered your mouth to muffle your squeak of surprise, snapping Lelouch of his apparent trance as well as he blinked several times to get back into focus.
"Mmm … I swear, everything I say and do gets you so easily flustered, doesn't it?" He laughed softly, even though his cheeks were flushed red too.
"N – No!" That just made him snicker in his hand. "I – I should head back now."
"But seriously, Y/n." You looked back to see his smile still there, tender and true. "Thanks."
"Anytime."
You returned to the living room and felt a smile break out at the sight of Nunnally and Suzaku smiling, laughing, making paper cranes together when Suzaku noticed you and waved you over to help out. But you were still reeling from what transpired in the other room.
'Lelouch kissed me. Of all people, me! It was on the cheek, but still! I don't know that much about his personal life; aside from his gambling trips with Rivalz. Did he kiss anyone before, cheek or otherwise? Before me?' You couldn't get that image of Lelouch's bemused expression out of your mind. You also couldn't ignore the fact that you felt Suzaku's eyes on you, a suspicious glaze to them.
Sooner than you expected, it was time for Suzaku to leave. You were lost in thought as you watched Suzaku bent down to hug Nunnally before nodding at Lelouch only to have your name being called on, pulling you out of it to say good bye. But as he smiled and waved, walking out the door, you watched his retreating form while Lelouch pushed Nunnally's wheelchair to her bedroom to get her ready for bed. That's when you felt the same magnetic pull with Lelouch reappear, making you follow the soldier outside.
"Suzaku, wait!"
He stopped in mid walk and turned back around, curiosity and concern flashed on his face as he cocked his head to the side, making him appear that much cuter. "Y/n? What is it? Is something wrong?"
"No … the exact opposite, in fact. I feel …" Why are you feeling this way, twice in a row? "I just want to say thank you. Not just for tonight, but for every day since we became friends. It means a lot to me." You rubbed your arm, shyly smiling. "You … mean a lot to me."
His smile lite a fire in your heart. "You mean a lot to me too. You, Lelouch, Nunnally, the student council … you've all become so important to me." He walked towards you until you were standing face to face. "You above all else."
You gaped at seeing his face start to flush red and his green eyes became glossy and … tempted. "I … I am?"
He looked a bit stunned before his face broke out into a smile. "Aw, come on. You honestly can't see why?"
What happened next took you by surprise, almost as much as Lelouch's did.
The feeling of Suzaku's lips pressed against your other cheek; once normal but now burning with heat from those soft velvety lips of his. He pulled back to give a bashful smile, scratching his cheek, "Is that enough proof for you?"
You gingerly touched your cheek, feeling the warmth beneath your fingertips, as butterflies fluttered in your stomach and your heart was racing quickly. But that's when you noticed his green eyes glow; those mesmerizing emerald gems now stuck upon your awaiting face. His eyes softened as did his smile.
Your cheeks burned as you smiled shyly at him. "I … think so."
Suzaku laughed softly before holding your hands. "Y/n, you do mean that much to me. This past month spent in school with you, sharing classes and having study sessions, even just spending time with you like that has been … wonderful." You smiled the more he talked, leaning closer as did he when you noticed his eyes looking over you to far behind you; suspicion laced in them. "It's getting late. I should head back to my place. Have a good night … " Suzaku pulled your hands up to litter gentle kisses on top of them, making you smile bashfully, " … Y/n."
You took him by surprise as you leaned up to kiss his cheek "Good night, Suzaku."
You waved good-bye as his goofy smiling face looked back at you over his shoulder as he waved back too while hurrying off, almost falling over his feet from not watching where he was going, causing you to laugh out loud at his stumble.
But unbeknownst to you but not to the brunette was that Lelouch was watching outside his bedroom window.
He watched his best friend kiss your cheek as he did earlier.
He watched as Suzaku ran off, leaving you smiling and blushing as you felt yourself floating off your feet as you walked back inside.
He did not look happy. Not one bit.

Shakespeare Moments Code Geass Reminded Me Of:
#2 (From Henry IV Pt 2)
The scene when Rivalz confronts Lelouch reminded me so much of this moment when Falstaff, friend of Hal, confronts Hal once he has become King. Both Lelouch and Henry V ignore their friends from their boyish days.
We discuss a LOT of Shakespeare in our episode on Code Geass, it’s nerdy it’s geeky and it’s awesome

Amon Garam is underrated tbh
(Warning: Spoilers for Yugioh GX)
When talking about GX characters I feel like a lot of people overlook Amon Garam/Adrian Gecko. He is probably one of my favorite characters.
Look, I get it, he's a piece of crap and deserved to be wiped out by Yubel/Johan. But I like what he represents in the story and how different he is from the rest of the main cast.
He's introduced as a jovial and sort of eccentric ace duelist in S3. Like a personal rival to Manjoume/Chazz, same background (rich boy) but somewhat...better (less impulsive, more clever, overall better duelist) which is exposed on their sky duel.
And then he starts to change and become colder, more ruthless, smug and manipulative as S3 goes on, especially after partnering with Yubel. He sacrifices the woman he loves in order to attain Exodia's power without any second thoughts and he really seems to embrace his new role as King.
The scene where he's riding Exodia and refuses to finish the recently de-SKized Judai/Jaden is quite telling. He's drunk on power. He gambled and got a hell of a pay. And unlike Judai, who became SK after a hell of a traumatic event or Saio/Sartotius who was possesed by the Light of Destruction, Amon did it all consciously and out of his own will. No demonic possession, no LoD, no ancient millenary item possesion, nothing. Just an extremely ambitious bastard. In a way, he reminds me of Seto Kaiba in the early Yugioh manga chapters, before he got Mind Crushed by Yami.
Eventually, Yubel possessing Johan snaps him back to reality by kicking his ass and wiping him out. Right before dying he 1) reveals that actually he wanted to become King to the typical "making the world a better place" shtick and 2) shows regret for killing Echo.
While number 1 seems to come out of nowhere and feels like a lame attempt to somewhat redeem him, I think it makes him even more tragic. I think of Amon and he reminds me of complex antihero "ends justify the means" characters like Canute from Vinland Saga and Lelouch Lamperouge from Code Geass.
(YES I just compared Yugioh with Vinland and Geass)
I feel like, if Yugioh broadened its scope to maybe a more mature setting, characters like Amon could probably be rewritten in a more neutral or even sympathetic light. And yet, because GX is deeply inside a shonen anime focused on promoting a card game, such risks couldn't be taken.
And don't get me wrong, I think Amon was very well handed. He feels like an inverse of Axel O'Brien. While Axel starts as a stoic, cold and aloof duelist loyal to the shady Professor Cobra, Amon gets introduced as a charming and skilled guy who seems to oppose Cobra's schemes (after all, that means he's a good guy, right?) And yet, Axel ends up warming up to the main cast and even being (along with Jim) the one who saves Judai, while Amon ends up going the dark route. The fact they both come from Academies located on opposite cardinal points (Amon from east, Axel from west) might not be a mere coincidence.
To top it off, I just love how Amon and Axel end up in such different spots at the series finale.
Axel? With the main cast, being one more of them, eating, drinking, cracking a few jokes, enjoying their company. He's part of the gang despite arriving later. Like Johan (and my boy Jim)
Amon? Who the hell knows. And who the hell cares. Dead. Forgotten. Vanished into nothing. Sentenced to life in the Shadow Realm. And the best part is that, aside from his aparition on the "missing student cards" on S3 ending, nobody brings him up at all. They dislike him so much that for what they know he may be being devored by harpies or tortured in some dungeon in the Dark World, it's all the same for the gang. They have better things to think about than some power drunk greedy ambitious asshole who killed the woman he loved for nothing.
Axel won friends, which is why he was given a second chance in S4. Amon lost it all, which is why he's one of the few GX characaters that died permanently. Maybe it was Shin Yoshida's intention to send a message in favor of personal bonds and connections. Maybe he forgot about Amon.
But no matter what, Amon is probably one of the GX characters that caught my attention the most.

so I watched the fourth Code Geass movie and I have a lot more thoughts about it - and this entire "brand" of movies - than I thought I would
I am going to ramble about this to an audience of 3 for a short period of time!
really I'm kind of fascinated by this entire situation, the decision to make these remakes/rebuilds/reedits of Code Geass while changing things both substantially and less so - it feels very much like those involved love Code Geass, but wished to amend things they deemed as mistakes or missed opportunities, which I'd say is pretty admirable given I feel R2 in particular carried a lot of issues that could have been resolved with some adjustments. I haven't seen the trilogy of movies that do this, so I don't have all the nuance and knowledge, but the whole thing kind of reminds me of the FF7 Remake stuff in some ways, folks involved with the original coming back and doing things again, if only to see what they'd change if they could do so
but beyond just that it also feels as if they wanted more Code Geass - and who doesn't? - and they rightfully realized that you can't really do that without Lelouch; in a lot of ways, he is the show, and without the character you could easily struggle to find any sort of magic again. not an impossible task, but one made very difficult without setting up something of a different world from that of the original run
hence, these remakes/rebuilds/etc., wherein they condense and shift things to ensure that they could, in fact, do more Code Geass in some form or another, in a canonical way that didn't futz with the original ending - which brings us to this movie, Re;surrection
so does it work? ehhhh
on one hand it's really blatant. like, again, those involved wanted more Geass, they knew they couldn't do it without the guy, they went in and changed things to ensure they had him. this utterly ruins the climax of the series, of course, and the ending to this fourth movie further strains things in some ways - he's just. back. going around and doing whatever with C.C. forever I guess
on the other though, I honestly don't feel the aforementioned resurrection is too out of the ballpark? there were already near-immortals in the show, a lot of mystical, magical stuff, and I can buy him coming back even if it kind of destroys whatever impact his death had beforehand. like, it doesn't hit as terribly egregious thanks to the World of C stuff being what it was - for better or worse
as for the movie itself? it feels like it was meant to launch a new series - to be a new series. there's two huge storylines vying for attention and neither really get the time they need or deserve, with the second one revolving around Nunnally and her capture feeling like it'd been a mid-season/season finale type arc, while Lelouch and his return is largely handled okay but doesn't get near enough time on screen as I'd wanted (which, to be fair, was always gonna be hard for a movie to get to, given how much I'd want)
it's definitely like, fine. the pacing is its worst enemy, the new "bad guy" faction/nation/etc. introduced doesn't really do much for me - though I said on call that it'd been interesting if the main Geass-using villainess had been the cause for things shifting in these remakes as they had, bit of a missed chance to tie things together imo - and in basically undoing the biggest, best part of the end of the series, it leaves a lot of things just sort of dangling without a clear pathway to address any of them (as of yet - more on that later)
but it's also really, really fun seeing all of these characters again. Lelouch is just such a good, fun character, Kallen has been sorely missed, even just the bit players like Jeremiah or Anya were nice to see, even if only one more time. and again, I feel the actual resurrection stuff is, at least, sensible - I don't know the full details of it, to be fair, I've not seen the previous three movies yet, but it didn't feel super egregious or poorly done; it was done for reasons that were admittedly kinda shameless, but didn't feel super insulting as far as methodology went
personally I do believe that this and Roze of the Recapture are building to something (this is later, btw), if only because I can't imagine you undo one of the biggest elements of this beloved series just to never really do anything with it going forward in some way; whether it's another movie, series, I don't know, but I feel there's been too much effort made to unite the characters of Code Geass across media - the anime/main guys, Roze's guys, the video game folk, etc. - for this to not go somewhere. and hell, I feel that way on the simple basis that leaving a guy like Lelouch alive in a series and never picking back up on it just wouldn't make sense
but on the whole, regarding this movie, I think it's fine overall. just kinda fine, a bit middling in places - at times it felt like an apology for some of the worst elements of R2, and at others it just felt like the worst elements of R2 again lmao. and in a lot of ways I found it a blend of the original series - a lot of highs that reminded me of R1, and some lows that reminded me of R2, which when together make for a perfectly decent, serviceable, fun if not entirely fantastic experience
it's generally just like. more Code Geass, for better and for worse, but some issues and questionable elements aside, I still largely enjoyed my time with it!

Non battle-battle anime and the masks within oneself
By the time, I had already seen a crazy amount of anime. However, it was not until I saw Bakuman that I realized the existence of a (sub)genre that, without knowing it, had caught my attention: the non-battle-battle series.
In short, they are series where the characters battle, fight among themselves, but they don't actually fight. Not physically at least, but mentally. C’mon, let's just look at the non-battle-battle anime par excellence: Death Note. Yeah, that sums it up pretty well, doesn't it? A psychological battle, a real “battle of the wits”, where words are heavier than any punch and the one that’s impacted is not the body, but the mind. From Kaiji to Kaguya-Sama. Kakegurui, Tomodachi Game, Classroom of the Elite and even Dr. Stone.
My young self didn't make the connection, but now I see that what attracted me to these stories was what I call “mental chess”. Shakespeare already said it: “All the world’s a stage.” “But the play is badly cast,” added Oscar Wilde. Personally, I stick with the first quote. The world is a stage, we all act and wear masks. Masks that protect us or protect others, that isolate us, hurt us, give us a role to play, connect us and allow us to live in society. And yet... it is so difficult to understand people, and even more difficult to connect with the unknown, with someone who is unknown to you (even yourself).
Maybe that's why I liked “puppeteer” characters so much, manipulators if you will. Those who seem to have understood the rules of society's game, who know how to wear their masks without dying in the attempt. It is here, among all the mental chess players, that my favorite appears: Lelouch.
I know, I'm cheating. Code Geass (Death Note's rival due to various similarities) is not exactly a non-battle anime. It has brutal combats between mechas, with guns and explosions. However, to me that has always been the least interesting (and important) part of Code Geass. Because ultimately, it's a series about mental battles, psychology, strategy, politics and morality. All elements where masks are crucial, and above all, heavy.
Because, while Kira feels flat, lacking the passions, dilemmas, and contradictions of the human condition (treating his “Light” mask as a mere decoration, a costume that you put on and take off with ease), the masks Lelouch uses have real weight. Lelouch Lamperouge, Zero, and Lelouch vi Britannia. Those are the 3 masks that he shows during the series. One is a simple student of Britannia, another a rebel against the empire, and the last, a prince of the imperial royal family. He reminds me a lot of the Japanese proverb of the 3 masks: “Every person has three faces. The first face is the one you show to the world, the second face is the one you show to your close friends and family. The third face is the one you never show to anyone, that is the faithful reflection of what you really are”. In the series, how different they can be (and who you show these masks to) can be seen in the love interests. Shirley loves Lelouch Lamperouge, Kallen loves Zero, and CC loves Lelouch vi Britannia.
In fact, those masks, those “lies” are the center of the conflict. When the protagonist confronts his father, Charles, he reproaches him for how he has always hidden behind masks, behind lies. For him, the whole world is full of lies and that’s why he plans to destroy them. He wants to modify the fabric of reality to destroy the barriers that separate all beings. Mashing every person together into a single entity. A single consciousness embodying all of humanity. Basically his own version of the Human Instrumentality Project from Evangelion. He believes that humanity is actually one being, that people are fundamentally the same, and that the only way to stop the world from lying is to destroy the greatest lie itself: the lie of separation.
And so, masks are present in one way or another in this type of series, even in its most everyday expression such as Kaguya-Sama, where the protagonists use these masks to project an image to others while protecting themselves from their own insecurities.
To a greater or lesser extent, this type of series shaped me as a person. For much of my life I considered myself a mental chess player, someone who overthought interactions with others, who was relentless in hiding facets of himself, and yet was confused in this game of masks. Who is the real me? Who are the real others? Do we live deceiving ourselves? Why? Is it even possible to connect this way? But eventually I learned to accept the masks, I managed to be at peace with them, and above all, I learned to appreciate people. Because in my experience, every aspect of a person can contain genuine and immeasurable beauty, and as such, it is a treasure that should not be underestimated. Accepting the truth within lies and lies within truth. Ultimately, being honest with that should be enough.

You said sasuke is flint whom you dont like.how come you love sasuke?
I think it's bc I'm still watching Black Sails, and I haven't experienced the entirety of Flint's character arc yet so like right NOW I might be annoyed with him but if he goes through character development so he's no longer doing what he's currently doing then maybe I might start to like him.
Meanwhile I've already gone through the entirety of Sasuke's character arc and Sasuke has significantly more moments that make me fond of him or sympathetic to him than Flint does so. There's that.
#Anon#Ask#A character Flint reminds me a lot more of is Lelouch from Code Geass: person from a high position in an imperalist regime who experiences#a personal betrayal from it when it kills someone he loved and then goes into hiding with another person he loves and changes his name#And then becomes the leader of a group of people the regime oppresses and promises their freedom while using them to go about his own#personal plans for revenge#Only develops a meaningful personal relationship to One of them who he never listens to#I think this is another reason I'm mad at Flint it's bc I've gone through this same song and dance before dkhgkdjfkshfkdj#Flint develop meaningful solidarity with the people oppressed by the British crown by pulling your head out of your ass or so help me GOD

Ohgi's insecurity and Lelouch's distrust explained through the enneagram.
I would like to one day produce a comprehensive and extensive analysis addressing the betrayal of the Black Knights since I manage a Code Geass Facebook page and have noticed that most of the Hispanic anime fans don’t understand why the Black Knights betrayed Lelouch . Even in the Anglo-Saxon fandom I have seen opinions from people who attribute this to an error within the narrative and it is not. The Black Knights' betrayal was a meticulously planned chain of events that led to that unique outcome. But what can we do? Most of the Code Geass fanbase are Lelouch fanboys who will automatically hate anyone who opposes him without first putting themselves in their shoes and analyzing the situation.
Although this publication won’t be the analysis that I have pending because I don’t have enough time to elaborate it and, in addition, I need to return to the anime to point out each of Lelouch's mistakes (I left it in chapter 10 of R1), I’m going to talk about two crucial issues that came together to give us the betrayal of episode 19 of R2 and that no one speaks or notices, not even those who did understand the movement of the Black Knights and those are the insecurity of Ohgi (who plays the role of Judas/Pedro) and the distrust of Lelouch (who would be our false Messiah). Don't worry if you think I'm being superficial. There is a lot of evidence throughout the episodes and this is something that I must return to when writing the analysis. This would be an appetizer that will help me when that time comes.
1. Ohgi
The first time I saw Code Geass, it caught my attention that Lelouch commanded other terrorists to confront his sister and the subsequent visits I still didn't understand. Until I rewatched Chapter 6 and caught a glimpse of a detail that had previously been overlooked.
Context: After Cornelia decimates numerous rebel strongholds, including a large one called Samurai Blood, in search of Zero, Ohgi contacts him to update him and express his concerns. Lelouch tells him to calm down and emphasizes that they would refrain from taking any action for now. Without further ado, he hangs up on her and thinks about what you can see in the image (”Maybe I should cut ties with them”). Lelouch finds Ohgi's attitude annoying and considers breaking ties with his resistance cell since he is realizing that they are depending a lot on him (and Lelouch prefers to distance himself). Hence, in the next episode, he establishes a connection with other terrorists.
With this brief scene, Ohgi's eneatype is more than confirmed: he is a Enneatype Six. What I mean by this? That his problem isn’t that he lacks the skills and qualities as his haters claim. Otherwise, then, it wouldn’t make sense for Zero to assign him as Vice Commander (which is the second in command) to an incompetent.
His problem is his great insecurity. I began to suspect that he was a Six when, after Tamaki tells him that things would have been better if he was in charge and leaves Ohgi alone, he wails with a photo of Kallen's brother telling him that he is not like him in the sense that he is a good leader. I mean, Ohgi is agreeing with Tamaki to a certain extent. (Of course, as if Tamaki knows what he's talking about, since he's an extremely competent guy in his field...)
Hence, he has no problem giving up the position to Lelouch, whom he judges to be a better leader (in fact, he himself reminds Lelouch in R1 episode 10 that he asked him to become his leader). And this is the essential problem of the Six. The emotional wound of Sixes is precisely their lack of self-confidence and, since they can’t trust themselves, they cling like ticks to people they consider more capable than themselves and for the same reason they can turn against those people, because they can't trust others either and Ohgi never fully trusted Zero, even when the Black Knights' suspicions were allayed with Taizo Kiririhara's approval, Ohgi kept trying to find out more of Zero's secrets. That's why he took Villetta in episode 14 of R1. Not only was it a Good Samaritan act, but because she mentioned Zero's name and he figured she knew something about him (in fact, you can see he doesn't trust her at first either because he watches her through a camera system he set up in his own house).
In my opinion, I find it funny that this is his enneatype since then it would be another literal case. Sixes are the most contradictory personality type in the Enneagram. They are the most loyal personality and in turn is the most treacherous (I think we can all tell Ohgi with those traits).
Character arcs typically revolve around overcoming their injuries in order to bring out the version of themselves, and Ohgi is no exception: he has to learn to trust himself in order to be the leader the Order of the Black Knights need and, by extension, to be able to restore their homeland to its freedom.
“Ohgi, don't you trust me?”
2. Lelouch
“Live with me or die with me.”
This image is taken from R1 episode 10 just like the one before that. What happened here? I will refresh your memory.
Diethard learns from Villetta and Jeremiah that Cornelia's squad and Cornelia herself are going on a hike in the Narita Mountains. Diethard, who is no fool, soon adds two plus two and understands that the purpose of the journey is to find the headquarters of the Japan Liberation Front and annihilate it (I remind you that the Japan Liberation Front is the resistance group largest area of Area 11 and Cornelia set herself the task of destroying all the rebel strongholds in this area). Diethard immediately passes this information to the Black Knights with a view to being recruited (since then the Black Knights were expanding their numbers). Lelouch, who is also very perceptive, interprets this as the opportunity he has been waiting for to question his sister about her mother's death. But does he tell the Black Knights that they are going to Narita to fight Cornelia's army? Absolutely! He literally tells them that they are going for a walk through Narita (Ohgi was able to get an idea of the purpose of that walk since he read the information from Diethard and Kallen, in the same way could guess since she heard what Ohgi communicated to Zero, however, Zero didn’t share his plans with them).
"Even messiahs have to perform miracles to be recognized as such"
I remind you that by this point in the plot, Zero and the Black Knights had faced terrorists, corrupt politicians, abusive soldiers, abusive corporations, and criminal syndicates. That is, they hadn’t faced Britannia. This was to be his first battle (with all its warlike implications). So the Black Knights, who thought they had gone to train, found out that they were going to face Cornelia's army right there, just a few minutes after the confrontation took place. For added finishing touch, Zero leads his troops to a point where they are surrounded by Cornelia's Sutherlands (this is to cut off all escape routes for the Japan Liberation Front). In other words, he deliberately dragged them into a blind alley, taking advantage of their ignorance.
Are you understanding the circumstances surrounding this battle? It's cloudy!
"Since you joined the Black Knights, you have two choices: live with me or die with me." This on the surface sounds epic, but, at the same time, it's pretty fucked up: Zero/Lelouch isn't giving the Black Knights a chance. Either they fight alongside him to survive, or they die together.
Now then, why was Zero not straight with the Black Knights from the start? What was the need to hide information from them? This is a specific situation. However, if we evaluate other situations a posteriori, Zero/Lelouch always handled all of his affairs with great secrecy. Let's go further, how much did it cost you to reveal his identity? Or why he didn't tell them about the Geass? (You don't have to answer me, just think about the questions). I understand that he would hide from the rest of the world, but why from his men? Was he afraid that they would mistrust his intentions? Did he think they would refuse to work with a Britannian prince who has a magic eye? Did he imagine they were going to desert?
“Weaks?”
The truth is that we could think of a lot of answers in an attempt to find a logic behind Lelouch/Zero's actions. But all the answers show a serious problem between the lines: Lelouch doesn’t trust the Black Knights.
Why? What reasons have the Black Knights given for Lelouch to distrust them? If it is the opposite case, we can list facts and concrete data that show why the Black Knights don’t trust Zero/Lelouch. Not so with Zero/Lelouch. He has no well-founded reasons. These people were transparent with Zero from minute one: they explained his discomfort and what he had to do to make them trust him. (Should the Black Knights be grateful to Zero/Lelouch? No, Larry, it is Lelouch who should be grateful to them because, despite his doubts and the little trust that Lelouch placed in them, the Black Knights followed him and believed in him).
So where does this suspicion come from? It’s an internal problem for Lelouch derived from his childhood traumas.
For those who don't know, the Enneagram is a complex system of personalities that divides them mainly into nine types, based on the theory that our personalities began as coping strategies that we acquired as children to feel safe in the face of trauma and avoid pain and stress, so that our personality can function as armor to protect us from outside threats and that even today said armor dictates how we should react to situations and even how we interact with our fellow men.
Lelouch is an enneatype 8. People who fit this personality type at some point in their childhood felt that they were unprotected by their parents. As a result of this traumatic event, these people have a terrible fear of being hurt, controlled and dominated by others; because they internalized that it wasn’t good to be weak and that they had to be tough and strong to fight and survive. Consequently, these people built a shell to face the injustices of the horrible world and protect themselves from others. Hence, these people have a tendency to want to dominate situations and people. I came to read that 8 people aren’t good teammates because they are naturally suspicious and feel more comfortable being in control of situations because they fear and hate being subject to the will of others. Frankly, it doesn't surprise me after reading that they would rather control and use people than trust them. Does this ring a bell?
Sounds like Lelouch's Geass to me. We literally have a scene from Charles and little Lelouch in which the father tells him that he and Nunnally are to blame for his misfortun because being weak and, from that point on, if he didn't consider it a problem before, now he does (commercial: I analyzed the roots of Lelouch's trauma together with Suzaku through the enneagram, if this goes well I can upload my analysis here)
For me (and any good understanding of the Enneagram and who has seen Code Geass): Lelouch's Geass is the manifestation of his ego's unconscious behavior patterns and his unconscious fear. Remember that Geass works differently for each person.
Although Lelouch rejects the Britannian ideology openly, he unconsciously assimilated it very well and in situations like these his cognitive bias comes to light (oh, the contradictions! Human beings wouldn’t be human beings without contradictions). I mean, other people can be vulnerable and that's okay. Instead, Lelouch can't allow himself to be vulnerable because that wouldn't be right. (It's somewhat curious.
(Code Geass is an apology for the Enneatype 8, since its protagonist is an average 8 who faces a system whose ideal model of citizen is an insane 8. This is because the healthy 8 understands that he must use his strength to protect the weak, which is what Lelouch says in his speech, while the insane 8 believes that he must crush the weak through force, which is what Charles says in his speech).
Trust is an act of vulnerability because you assume that the other person won’t hurt you and that you can be yourself. In this case, it is something literal since Lelouch would have to remove his mask. Therefore, it is an act of exposure (the people who managed to gain Lelouch's trust had to fight to earn it; C.C. only meddled in Lelouch's life and helped him with some things to show him that she was on his side, Kallen had to to find out the hard way that he was Zero and thus, only to Sayoko he willingly revealed that he was Zero).
In conclusion, Lelouch and Ohgi distrust each other for different reasons: Ohgi is insecure and Lelouch isn’t willing to trust others because for his unconscious it is a sign of vulnerability (deep down, he is afraid of being betrayed). And when there is no trust between two people, they act behind the other's back. There are lies, there are secrets, there are betrayals.
Lelouch paid dearly (and well deserved) for not having opened up to the Black Knights. If he had trusted them and been honest, he would have no reason to hide anything from them, he wouldn't make stupid mistakes and then chapter 19 would have been very different (Goldilocks' scheming would have had no effect), do you realize that? I feel like Lelouch learned from his mistakes because I think Lloyd, Cecile, Sayoko and Nina knew about the Zero Requiem (besides Suzaku, Jeremiah and C.C.).
How painful! 😭
Anyway, the fanboys would continue to insist that the Black Knights are the ones with the problem and they will defend the mistakes of their god Lelouch, even if you show them with irrefutable evidence that Lelouch is a human being who screwed up.
PS: just to limit. I don't like Ohgi and I love Lelouch. But that doesn't give me an excuse to blind myself to Lelouch's mistakes and understand Ohgi's motivations.

Critical Zero LuluShir Crumbs
After seeing THIS, of course I had to get my hands on Critical Zero to see if there were any other LuluShir bits 😂 Thanks to @nicerbutnot2u for reminding me I had this in my drafts.
I have to say, I only checked out the stuff of Shirley-related episodes, but it was a worthy purchase. I wanted to share some of my favorite tidbits but since I don't have the time to translate, I just grabbed the kanji with an app and let DeepL do its magic.
Episode 12
- それと並行しルルーシュとシャーリーの関係にもようやく変化が生じるが、それば悲劇の始まりだった。
At the same time, the relationship between Lelouch and Shirley finally changes, but that is just the beginning of the tragedy.
Episode 14
Episode 14 is the beginning of the Mao Arc, and at the same time, the resolution to the first stage of the relationship between Lelouch and Shirley. The sad ending, where Shirley forgets about Lelouch, symbolizes the bleak yet strangely human worldview of "Code Geass".
Shirley and Everyday Life
Lelouch is surrounded by a number of women who are deeply involved in his life. However, Shirley is the only one that he can interact with as a high school student, not as Zero or the Prince of Britannia. For this reason, she is the symbol of a peaceful life for Lelouch. As the price for Shirley's father's death, Lelouch loses his connection with her. At the same time, it also means that Lelouch is moving away from his peaceful daily life and is stepping deeper into the world of horrific battles and conspiracies as Zero.
Lelouch erases Shirley’s memory
Lelouch chooses to use the Geass to erase Shirley's memories of him, but the ending was quite unexpected. One would think Lelouch would have killed Shirley or used her to the fullest. But for Lelouch, his history at Ashford Academy was a big deal, and Shirley, whom he met there, must have been special to him, even aside from his romantic feelings. But this differentiation is in a sense a form of pride and naivety, and it is slowly becoming a stumbling block for Lelouch.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
R2
Episode 11
- なんとも単純だが、一見多くの女住に囲まれているルルーシュも、こういう政略などを離れた話を相談できる相手はシャーリーしかおらず、それゆえ彼女が特別な存在なのだろう。
It's quite simple, but at first glance, Lelouch is surrounded by a lot of women, but the only person he can talk to about things apart from politics is Shirley, and that's probably why she's so special to him.
Episode 12
- 久しぶりであると同時に、第12話「ラブアタック!」は最後のラブコメ的エピソードとなる。
It's been a long time, and at the same time, episode 12, "Love Attack! is the last romantic comedy-like episode.
Episode 13
The reckoning of the past
The story of episodes 13 to 15 revolves around the confrontation between Lelouch and V.V. This is the equivalent of the confrontation with Mao in the first season. In both of these battles, Lelouch is made to pay for what he has done with the power of Geass. In both battles, Shirley is sacrificed because she represents the "peaceful student life". What Lelouch has to lose in exchange for the power he has acquired through Geass is, above all, his "peaceful student life.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Another tidbit I liked is that they draw parallels between the phone-calls Shirley and Lelouch exchange. For example, they say that their phone-call in the first episode is there to symbolize the worldview of Shirley, who is on the other end of the cell phone, and that of Lelouch, who is starting to get involved with the Geass. Then in episode 12, when Lelouch is in that strategy meeting thinking about Shirley asking him out to the concert, they said it's the reverse of their last phone-call. Lelouch is living in two worlds, and this time, he's the one bringing Shirley into his.
They also say that all those ShirLulu phone-calls hint at their future relationship.
Lastly, about R2 Episode 13, they draw a parallel with what C.C told Lelouch about keeping away anything precious that he doesn't want to lose. He left Shirley's protection to Suzaku and lost her, so they say that one could draw the conclusion that rather than keeping what’s precious to you away, you should protect them with your own hands. 🥺

Ten more guys who deserve to laugh!
My last list of this kind was just overall characters who get little to no love in the tickle scene! This time I wanted to focus on more side characters from content that might be well known but hardly ever get attention themselves! In no particular order of course! I also have numerous other characters from anime/cartoons/games/manhwa that are criminally lacking in the tickling content arena, but I might just do another list later down the line. For now here they are! 1. Rock Lee - Naruto Shippuuden/Boruto
First and foremost, this precious bean gets constant hate just cause of his hair and eyebrows. I honestly think his arc and character are glorious and he deserves so much more attention than he gets! He likes to train, so why not get him some endurance training and tickle that no doubt muscular body he has?
2. Aoyama Yuga - Boku no Hero Academia
Another character with a deep story hidden beneath being overly gaudy and comedic. This guy is absolutely adorable and shouldn’t be shunned from all the ticklish fun! Plus just imagine him trying to beg for mercy with a broken mix of languages!
3. Lee Jianliang/Henry Wong - Digimon Tamers (Season 3)
Most times I’ve seen Digimon tickles it’s usually from the OG group, or season 2/4. Season 3 had tickle scenes but it was focused on the digimon themselves rather than the tamers. I think the normally serious and cautious Henry could do with some ticklish fun to relax a bit more and just enjoy life.
4. Sabo - One Piece
How much do I even need to say? If you’re at all in the know on One Piece, Luffy is focus number one. Sabo though is definitely overlooked imo and should be allowed to laugh a bit more what with all the responsibility he has.
5. Goshiki Tsutomu - Haikyuu
A classic example of a character who loves being praised since he got to high school and realized he was no longer “gifted” but simply met the standard. He deserves to be reminded just how special he is and should be laughing while it happens, such a cutie!
6. Hitsugaya Toshiro - Bleach
Not a lot of people think of Bleach for tickles, but when they do I hardly see Toshiro mentioned. He appears young but is well over 100 years old. He’s so uptight with his duties as a captain, he should arrange a little vacation and get a full tickly massage to relax.
7. Minami Kenjiro - Yuri on Ice
He gets introduced and instantly caught my heart. This precious youngster is so obviously the “creative one” in his family. He gets so often skipped over though in favor of the shows more obvious pairs, I wish he just got some more recognition.
8. Rivalz Cardemonde - Code Geass
I can’t make a list and not include my favorite anime I guess. Rivalz is low on the totem pole but definitely is the perfect sort of “bro friend” material to deserve tickling in his own right. I can see him getting some tickles as payment for someone like Lelouch helping with repairs to his motorbike.
9. Hayner - Kingdom Hearts
With Kingdom Hearts it’s always Sora, Riku and Roxas. Hayner is like perfect tickle bait though! Tall athletic bro bestie who should absolutely be tickled as a way to raise money or something!
10. Thoma - Genshin Impact
It honestly took me a bit to think of a character from Genshin that isn’t already often talked about either in tickling or in general. To me though it seems like so many people forget about Thoma and how utterly perfect this man is. Seriously though he’s the perfect roommate! And a tickle fight is obviously perfect for bonding with him too!
I wanted to keep it to a single guy per series, or there would be more from Naruto, Haikyuu and BNHA especially! If you have some others you think are underrated, let me know in replies! Hell I might even have some headcanons for one of your favorites!

mostly just posting this to bang on lelouch a little bit yet also compliment the dumb dumb man, lelouch through much of season 1 spends time positioning himself as a semi messianic mysterious revolutionary icon in a mask whos going to liberate the japanese from bretonnia oppression. lelouch as code geass makes clear is doing this not because he particularly cares for the japanese and their legitimate often explicate suffering, but because he has specific beef with the bretonnian court as a once prince of the nation.
certainly hes morally opposed to bretonnias actions, but he cares more so in the general sense that he thinks bretonnia is doing wrong rather then the specific sense of caring about japanese issues in the code geass universe. this he makes clear by burying the japanese revolutionaries under a mountain landslide that wipes out a good portion of a city with it, before planting bombs on their surviving leaders and blowing them up as a false flag operation to incriminate bretonnia.
which is to say, lelouch is kinda a flashy ass who doesnt think about the long term consequences of his actions so long as they produce short term immediate benefits. thus well lelouches efforts and plans produce short term improvements and immediate sweeping gains, by the end of r1 hes destroyed a large portion of tokyo through brutal street fighting, the black knights have gotten their asses kicked hard and reduced to a partly number with most of its leaders dead or captured, hes ruined the lives of all of his friends in the process, and season 2/r2 opens with lelouch having lost so badly he and most of his friends have been mind wiped to not remember a thing and think he has a brother instead of a sister ontop of being closely monitored by the upper ranks of the bretonnia military and government.
which is all to say that edelgard in many ways puts me in mind of a more villainous/less justifiable lelouch. mostly in how fans react to them in relation to how they actually are as characters. cause like lelouch edelgard is an upper class individual whos capitalizing on the imagery and iconography of a revolution in order to justify and expand their own political power. the differences being that as we get a much closer look into lelouches psyche its a lot easier for the writing to remind you that he is in fact a maniacal dick because he can tell you that himself [that is, its easier to actually understand lelouch] well with edelgard theres always a sense of distance and removal from what she says she is compared to what she actually is because we arent given an actual insight into her head. additionally i would note that lelouch capitalizes on existing revolutionary energy to further his own goals. edelgard as the game tends to lean towards has to fabricate revolutionary energy instead.

Shakespeare Moments Code Geass Reminded Me Of
#1 (From Henry IV Pt 1)
This is basically Lelouch chilling at school and acting like he’s just a normal basic student and not, you know, the son of the emperor AND Zero. In Henry IV Henry is actually the Prince but spends his days acting like a frat bro and hangs out with bandits and other rough folk but secretly he has big plans for when he will become king.
We spend way more time talking about Code Geass and Shakespeare in our most recent episode:

"Would you kill me, my love?"
It was rhetorical, really. You liked being alive but what about being a captive is living? Unfortunately for you, your words had an audience, and the wrong one at that.
Code Geass Edition (pt 1/2): Lelouch, Suzaku
CW: suicidal ideation but doesn’t go past the title. kidnapping, manipulation, references to violence, threats of violence, very unhealthy relationships. This is not what a relationship should look like.
Lelouch Vi Britannia
"Kill you?" He looked so amused. Amused but irked. With delicate brows raised and stood tall in his white regalia, he looked like a tyrant who was so humoured by the court jester, that me may just spare their life.
But, you could tell that he was surprised by your question. He clawed through his dark hair, his gaze not leaving you once. He looks down at you, purple eyes holding an uncomfortably off gleam to them.
"Never." You expected as much.
He reaches towards you, running his knuckles down your trembling cheek, and his gentle gaze holding yours. "Never you."
You stiffen, your ankles feeling tighter in their jewelled holds, your legs feeling much more jittery against the fine silk of your bedsheets.
"...then who?" Your voice is weak, after not having used it for so long.
He laughs this time, so light, so full. You wouldn't think he was laughing at someone else's death.
"Anyone. If that's what it would take to remind you-" a smooth hand curls around your neck, "that you are mine."
You don't fight him and he relishes in his hold over you, your submission. You've long since learned that he will never apply too much pressure if you stay still, instead becoming accustomed to the warmth his palm spreads around your neck.
"Now, my love. Who put those ideas in your head?" His face holds a perfect smile, but you know better than that. "That dying is better than being here, with me?"
He gestures to your opulent room, gold gilded the frames of every piece of furniture, you had a stocked kitchenette, an en suite, even a TV and laptop with access to the outside world. You had everything you needed to survive. But you didn't have freedom.
The doors only opened for Lelouch, your activity monitored and limited by Lelouch, every piece of clothing lovingly selected by Lelouch. Even now you could walk the perimeter of your small home, but the jingle of the chain around your ankle never let you forget that your life was lost long ago, even if you still breathe.
But you didn't say a word, simply looking at him. When he had first 'relocated' you, for your safety of course, you believed every lie. Followed every rule. And yet, he only got worse.
It was a shame really. You had loved him once, when you were children. You had hoped that the glowing boy of his youth was in there, somewhere, when he returned to the capital to usurp the throne. The frail genius became an emperor.
You were one of the few nobles who didn't fight his rule. You revelled in it even, tired of watching the world suffer at the hands of your brethren, angry at how they treated their own. He worked to tear down the work of his forefathers, which hurt your inner Britannian but your heart sang, knowing that those tyrants would lose their life’s work to flames set by their own blood.
He was on a roll, so it was surprising when he had proposed that you help him secure his rule by becoming the imperial consort. You were sure that that role would fall to his beautiful green haired companion. But he claimed that he needed you for this, that you were the key to peace. You hesitated, naturally, none of it made sense. But when you spent more time with him, joined him for strolls, dinners, meetings, you understood.
“You are perfect. Let no one question that.” He said. You felt warm, and you almost listened.
When he slipped the ring on your hand late one banquet, leaving a longing kiss on its place in your finger he whispered “Let no one question the future queen.”
And this time you believed him.
Now here you are, suffering the consequences of your naivete.
You looked up at the frustratingly handsome face of the current emperor, the man who trapped you so sweetly, the one you cannot help but to care for.
He seemed to have expected your silence. He continued to speak with a curl on his lips as you felt the heat from his hands slide from your neck to both your cheeks to hold your stare to his. All you could see was him.
"No matter. I know a way to ensure I am your only choice. Though I'd preferred for you to love me on your own."
Again, no response. Just a despaired look passing from your eyes to his.
"I, Lelouch vi Britannia, command you, to love only me." His voice is strangely soft as his eyes begin to glow a light pink and suddenly you feel something you've long tried to supress.
"...Lelouch." You sighed out his name, liking how it sounded.
"Yes, dearest?" He smiled, genuinely this time.
Your hands cup around his face, moving closer to him. "Lelouch, I-"
You stopped, flinching. Even he looked suprised. No, this isn't-
"Dearest?" His voice was so warm and gentle on your ears. A part of you giddy that it was towards you. You feel what little grasp you have slip-
-That's right, this is perfect. What was I thinking? He's my love.
Warmth flooded you. Of course, how could you forget?
With no hesitation this time, you pressed a soft kiss to the corner of his mouth.
"I love you."
Lelouch beamed.
.
Suzaku Kururugi
It was a line you’d heard somewhere, corny but it stuck with you. You wanted to taste how it sounded, nothing serious. Though, it would’ve been better if Suzaku hadn’t just stumbled through the doorway.
He returns to his home in the 11's district, ready to start dinner, only to hear you ask him to kill you? You’d be stupid to think he wouldn’t overreact.
The door slammed shut behind him with a thud, his face draining of colour so quickly.
"What? What makes you think I'd ever do that? That's the last thing I-"
He panics, dropping the bags of food on the floor. He rushes to you, sat up against the bed, a bandage wrapped around your head. He looks you over, thinking you'd tried to hurt yourself. But his fear is replaced with something much more sombre when he sees you're free of injury.
"Is that what you think of me? That I'd kill you because we have a- a hiccup?"
He calls kidnap a hiccup?
He clenches his fists, he seems to struggle to look at you.
"Is this about what happened with Euphie? You think that dying is the only way to get my attention?"
God, not this inane bullshit again. He was convinced that you were jealous of a dead girl. Once upon a time you were worried that he'd never let her go, that you would always be second to a ghost. And now, you wished that that was the case.
"Because you dont need to, damn it. You just need to ask, I'd give you everything if you asked!"
"So you'd kill-"
He slaps his hand over your mouth, infuriated that you'd ask again. It almost stung as much as the wound on your head that you got trying to fight him off when he took you.
"No. I couldn't, that's the only thing I could never give you. I'm sorry." He wasn't sorry, and it was starting to piss you off.
"Just stop." You almost growl beneath his palm, so tired of putting up with him. "Suzaku, I can’t live like this, not here, not with you-"
"YOU DON'T MEAN THAT!"
His shout surprises you, banging your head against the headboard that you're pressed against.
His fist punches into the wall behind your head and for the first time, you're sacred that he might deliberately hurt you.
"...you don't mean that."
His voice his weaker this time and you seem to have completely lost yours.
"You don't. I know it." He said to himself under his breath, seemingly trying to convince himself.
"We're all we have left, from the beginning its always been us. I was an idiot but I'm fixing it. And then I'll bring our home back."
"Suzaku-"
"I know I'm not good enough for you, I know that. But I will be. Once I become viceroy, I'll fix it all."
"Suzaku, I know you're trying but you didn't need to do this. " You say, gesturing to the now highly secure apartment. "I dont want to be trapped-"
"You're not! We'll leave eventually but not right now. It's not safe, you know that.” He has a stern look in his green eyes, one that reminds you of his father. “ It’s not safe, let me protect you.”
The dull ache in your head reminded you not to trust him, no matter how much he pleaded. You had loved him, yes. But you couldn’t forgive this.
He looks up at you with a tired, longing look before he sighs. Resting his head on your shoulder he wraps an arm around your waist to hold you close.
“Please.” He begged, and your heart ached. “I can’t do it without you.”
Oh Suzaku. You reach up to stroke his back. You couldn’t forgive him, but that didn’t stop you from feeling hurt, seeing him like this.
“I know you love me.”
He pulls back, his eyes a little more dull than before and this raises alarms.
“I know you love me, so don’t lie like that ever again.” He spat. He leans his forehead against yours, staring deep into your eyes.
“Don’t make me do something I’ll really regret, okay?” The grip he had on your waist tightened and the increased pressure of his head against your injured one reminded you-
Suzaku hurt you to take you home. What else would he do to keep you there?

WHAT IS THIS SPACE BETWEEN MYSELF AND MYSELF?
atlas and the hesperides, john singer sargent / According to Hesiod’s Theogony, Atlas was one of the Titans who took part in their war against Zeus, for which as a punishment he was condemned to hold aloft the heavens. Atlas was said to have been skilled in philosophy, mathematics, and astronomy. — “Is maintaining an empire the same thing as building one?”
delusion’s master, tanith lee / The unspeakable, abominable truth is, they remind you of the boy you killed that night of the accident. The lie is that you never told them. For all your rhetorical prowess, you never had their gift for speaking honesty. You should have never told them you loved them. You should have lied. — “We may be strangers, but we are both still trapped in this web of lies. You need me more than I need you, Bellamy, did you really think you would be able to get out of this mess without my help?”
lelouch vi britannia, code geass / Lelouch wore a mask to live in japan as he lived with the identity of Lelouch Lamperouge, he showcased a mask in front of his schoolmates, a different mask in front of the members of the Black Knights and a different mask in front of the world as Zero. [x] — “He does not point to the painting in the left hand corner, he knows they'll find it eventually. But even as they draw closer to his spot, August does no move. As though he had been turned to stone, Infamia cannot pry his eyes away from the image of himself.”
upstream, mary oliver / You found him floating beneath the moonlight. He was an angel, and as he stared into that starless sky, you wondered what it was he saw. — “Why did it take thirteen minutes to find his body. The dock was only four minutes away. Why wasn’t anyone watching him. / He snuck into the lake, dear. The employees didn’t realize they had to keep an eye on someone. / You’re lying to me.”
12 angry men (1957) / The jury in a New York City murder trial is frustrated by a single member whose skeptical caution forces them to more carefully consider the evidence before jumping to a hasty verdict. — “I say this as a friend and not as your lawyer. No one has been criminally charged. Be polite, be cooperative, but do not offer more information than necessary — not even if they give you a plea deal. Anything you say will be held against you. I also recommend hiring an attorney and having them with you for your interview."

what’s your headcanons about the duo? recently i’ve rewatched the resurrection movies and cant help build various scenario in my head.
here’s mine though. Sorry it’ll be super long
• Lelouch found that CC’s hand was always cold so he likes to hold it all the time.
• During their early journey, they’ve decided to bought a trailer. But lelouch cant drive, so CC teach him one.
• CC’s were sensitive to cold but too proud to said it. One night, Lelouch realizes that she’s shaking in their tent and silently takes her in his arm
• He hates when CC talks about the mindless state he was. Not because how useless he is, but because it reminds him of how much a pain she suffers for him. It breaks his heart.
• Lelouch found a woman in desperate need of labor at the forest one day. CC’s expertly help her and deliver the baby successfully. That night, he told her that when CC names that baby girl, he felt like wanted to pick her up and told the entire world of how proud he is for having CC in his side.
• He’s blushed like a pig whenever CC’s mention the word ‘bath’ for he knows she’s seen it all.
• Lelouch good at singing, and CC’s could play ukulele. One day, nunnally visits them in their hideout and found the immortal duo lovingly sang a song together while holding each other close.
• They dont says ‘I love you’ to each other, instead lelouch once declared “If i had to choose one to spent eternity with, I’ll choose you. Not because your loyalty but because i knew life wouldnt be so bored with you”
• Lelouch takes various jobs over the years. He started as a writer for many good years to sponsor their endeavors. Then he learns from Jeremiah to farm. A teacher, doctor, programmer.
• Lelouch found it hard to express his affection towards her so he always opted to talk about their fragment endeavors.
• Until they settle down in a secluded house and found himself the pleasure of sex.
• CC secretly dying for lelouch to kiss her. Not like that she cant, she just want him to be the one who initiate it.
• At one point in their life, CC’s longs for a child they could never have. one day, there’s an orphan baby borns in the hospital he works for and he told her they could adopt him.
• Lelouch would never said it but he could start another rebellion for CC.
• Sometimes during the next movie timeline, CC’s were captured and tortured. She doesnt wakes up for several weeks due to they tamper with her code. When she wakes up, CC found Lelouch kills hundred of them to avenge her.
This is a fanfic all on its own. 🤩 You're tempting me to write things or start stuff I shouldn't because there are other stories that need writing. 🤣 Reading and imagining this made me want to cry because I can totally picture everything in my head.
As a fact, most of yours parallel with mine, mainly these:
He hates when CC talks about the mindless state he was. Not because how useless he is, but because it reminds him of how much a pain she suffers for him. It breaks his heart.
Lelouch takes various jobs over the years. He started as a writer for many good years to sponsor their endeavors. Then he learns from Jeremiah to farm. A teacher, doctor, programmer.
CC secretly dying for lelouch to kiss her. Not like that she cant, she just want him to be the one who initiate it.
Post Re;surrection, here's my headcanons 😉
C.C. is the one making the living during the early days of their Geass hunt, mostly because Lelouch needs to stay hidden.
C.C. is the one who reminds Lelouch to call Shirley or at least see her...
They travel mainly by sea or land. No airfares here, considering the nature of airport security.
As well connected to shady people as I think C.C. is, I doubt she has top-level clearance to even sneak into an airport undetected... They could, but it's too much work for their current circumstance and is more trouble than it's worth. One day, they will. But in the beginning of their search, nah.
Lelouch will make sure to procure fake passports, IDs, and everything else.
Wait... On second thought, Lelouch has a Geass. I almost forgot... 🤣 FUCK! I guess they can travel by plane. (I still think it's impractical). But they can only do it if they successfully tie up loose ends along the way.
Lelouch picks up online ghost writing or proofreading as a career once they settle in Switzerland.
All the online money he earns goes to C.C.'s bank account, because he hasn't established a fake one yet.
It bothers him that C.C. is in-charge of their funding.
Lelouch does a financial audit every month. He used to do it bi-weekly, but C.C. told him that over-obsessing about budget is never a good thing.
On a more serious note, I think C.C. cuts back on her pizza eating for the first few years.
C.C. has a subdued personality for the first few months or the first year together with L.L...
Lelouch spends discreet time trying to coax C.C.'s mischievousness out again. He kind'a misses it.
He asks C.C. about his mindless state once in a while, when it's necessary. But he avoids it because he hates how useless he was, and he hates being reminded that he burdened her so.
It takes a while before they end up actually kissing.
They're open to talking about their deep thoughts, but are still a teeny bit hesitant to cross the line to romance. (Even if they're practically married at this point).
They have matching rings. (Not engagement or wedding rings or promise rings. Just matching jewelry -- according to them anyway).
They're fucking married.
Lelouch caught C.C. singing lullabies to him once, because she thought he was falling asleep.
C.C.'s multi-lingual skills will shine.
Lelouch is beginning to think world history on the internet is unreliable. Mostly because of C.C. (That girl is a walking encyclopedia, literally).
C.C. loves surprising Lelouch with random facts about her involvement in some events during history. She does it at the most random times, but mostly when they're on a Geass hunt.
They mouth "I love you" once in a while. They don't say it out loud. Just mouth it... 😍🥰
Hugging... Lots of hugging.
Lelouch eventually replaces Cheese-kun. 👏 It's his greatest achievement yet.
Lelouch and C.C. will cease to exist one day. Especially when all those spare body parts from C's World run out, because Lelouch broke that place. (CG creators, please explain the lore behind the Code and the Geass).

Ruki would be such a great big brother for Nunnally (apart from the dungeon part; She hates to be locked). She really needs help with her impulsivity and social maladjustment...
But, oh well, she's probably going to hate him till the end of time...and one day longer!
I really liked this headcanon!
🧩 Aww, I could see Nunnally being a little sister for him as well. Their first encounter was pretty much her turning to Ruki for advice. It would be pretty great to see him actually help her with her baking, but that might be difficult to pull off now that he sucked her blood. Although, I must admit I’m very biased. She reminds me of Code Geass and Lelouch’s dynamic with his little sister who shares the same name, haha. It’s funny too because Ruki and Lelouch share some similarities. Regardless, I’m curious to see where their relationship takes them!! 🧩

9 and 15 👀
Hi Ate Jello!! 😁
9 - Do you own any AOT Merch?
- lol yes I do! It's a phone case I got from Rhinoshield. I did not even know that they did a collab until I was watching a Pewdiepie video lol. It's black and it has the aot characters in their chibi theater forms.
15 - Controversial opinion?
- In AOT? That Eren is a well-written character. I only say that this is controversial based on what I have seen in a place I will not say but I hope that you get where I am going, Jello. Eren to me reminds me of Lelouch from Code Geass but not entirely. Both characters did become scapegoats and had their best friend be "heros," but Lelouch actually succeeded before he died. In short, he was an asshole after he became king (I think this was the title?) but that was to give the others motivation to kill him. On the other hand, Eren started the Rumbling (I still believe that the Rumbling should only be a last minute option should talking not work. tbh that's what it looked like in the series. Ok I am ranting here) but did not kill off everyone. Now I could be reading his character wrong, but I he really wanted his friends to live. Sadly, this does not happen for everyone, but he still succeeds in a way. I honestly do not see him as a good or bad guy. I do feel bad for him tho because he was the only one who knew what would happen in the future because of his titan abilities. Oh my gosh Isayama writes such complex characters haha
