I’m rereading Very Good, Jeeves, and it didn’t register to me on the first read through how constant Jeeves’s anti-Bobbie rhetoric is. It’s relentless. The Very Good, Jeeves drinking game is every time Jeeves says “Miss Wickham, though in many respects a charming young lady—”

#of COURSE jeeves pierced the hot water bottle #he obviously sees bobbie as a very serious imminent threat and would stop at nothing #and i always thought it was a bit random that tuppy would've done that #he's established as a practical joker #but staying up half the night and sneaking into rooms is an awful lot of trouble to go to #for a practical joke on a guy you have no particular negative feelings toward #and tuppy isn't implied to have any romantic interest in bobbie iirc so he wouldn't have been trying to impress her #and the timing is awfully convenient as well #it’s super lucky for jeeves that tuppy waited to carry out his prank until bertie had already done his #AND the thing about jeeves moving silently #motive means opportunity and ABILITY #do we really think tuppy would be any more competent at silently moving through rooms than bertie was #//#jeeves books #jeeves and the yule-tide spirit #very good jeeves
