I do NOT want Lucanis to be a classically charming flirt that’s not his character based on what we know. What I DO want is for him to be just strange enough that he says something that to anyone normal is wildly insane but he says it with all the casualness of water cooler conversations at work and yet still makes me dream of kissing this man under the moonlight

Ribcage X Andy Biersack- Part 31
Masterlist
"There's one thing you should know about me Delia Vincent, I don't date. Got no heart to break and emptiness is safe, keep it that way."
He was Adamant in his choices...
...But then things changed.
Tumblr media
"I'm so glad you decided to come over this evening, Andy." Tamara smiles "Thankfully you caught us on a meat-free night as I didn't realise you were vegan until just now. I'll remember that for next time though!"
During one of their few conversations to get to know each other, Delia had spoken about how she and her family only eat meat once a week; this was more to accommodate Nick's health after recovering and to try and eat healthier as a family. They also did not fully agree with the meat industry; the more humane meat was always pricier.
"That sounds great, thank you." Andy smiles.
"Andy! So good to see you again son." Nick grins as he walks into the kitchen to spot Andy and Tamara "Where's Lia?"
"She's gone upstairs for something and banished me to here so that I didn't see her 'awkwardly crawl' upstairs. I offered to carry her up but she refused." Andy laughs lightly which makes Nick burst out laughing.
"That sounds like my Lia." Nick laughs "You'll never find a dull moment with her around."
"She definitely has a fire in her." Andy grins feeling his admiration for her shine through.
"Andy? Are you still in the kitchen?" Delia shouts from upstairs.
"Is everything okay?" Andy calls back feeling slightly worried as he makes his way to the hallway where the stairs are.
"All good, just stay in there, please." Delia replies as she lowers herself to the first stair in preparation to have to bum shuffle downstairs, that's when she spots Andy already by the stairs "Andy you don't need to see me like this."
"You trust me don't you?" Andy simply asks making his way up the stairs to her which makes her blush slightly from embarrassment.
"Of course I do." Delia admits. That was enough for Andy before he carefully scoops her up in his arms.
"Grab your crutches and let's go. Your mum said dinner will be done soon." Andy smiles before kissing Delia's forehead.
"Aren't I normally the bossy one?" Delia laughs.
"I guess you just have that effect on me." Andy replies with a wink which makes Delia blush slightly "Let's go."
-----------------------
"Mum and Dad, how would you both feel about me moving to LA?" Delia asks as if it were nothing, but the question makes Andy's heart swell with joy. Was she actually considering his offer? "Is that something you'd both be okay with?"
"Of course, we'd be okay with that D, LA would give you more opportunities and I know you've always wanted to move there." Tamara encourages "Have you found a place you can afford there then?"
"Yeah, I think so. I'm still considering it but I have a chance to move there." Delia nods before taking a mouthful of her dinner.
"Are you going to be okay moving away right now though Petal?" Tamara asks "Obviously I would never want to stop you, but with what's happened recently, I just want to make sure you're going to be safe."
"I'll be okay mum, I'll have people around me and worst comes to it I can always phone you and dad." Delia continues as if it was nothing;Andy still in awe and trying his hardest not to grin like an idiot.
"Is this place by any chance near or to do with Andy?" Nick questions looking between the two with a smirk.
"Yeah, kind of." Delia confesses.
"Well look, me and your mother, we rushed into things and look what it brought us. I'm not saying to not do it but make sure it is something that you want." Nick states before looking at Andy "Make sure you look after her, yeah? You seem a great guy and make Delia happy but she's always going to be my little girl and I will not be held accountable for my actions should anyone hurt her. If I had it my way, I'd be going to Seattle and giving that son of bitch  piece of my mind, he'd be lucky if he could breathe on his own after I'm through with him!"
"Nick!"
"Dad!" Tamara and Delia scowl him at the same time.
"I will." Andy nods whilst smiling. "Trust me, I found a lot of joy in punching that bastard square in the face."
"I bet!" Nick laughs "Good on you son."
"As much as I love the protectiveness from the both of you, is this really a conversation to be having at dinner?" Delia interupts looking between Andy and Nick with a slight disapproving look.
"Sorry." Andy laughs awkwardly as he looks towards Delia whilst Nick just puts his hands up in surrender.
------------------
"Andy, did I leave my phone downstairs?" Delia shouts down as she sits at the top of the stairs; everyone had decided to just relax and watch a movie or something before going to bed but Delia wanted to change into something more comfortable first; pajamas were always the way to go.
After no response, she just assumes Andy did not hear her and decided that her phone was not important and that she'd find it later, instead choosing to bum shuffle down the stairs with her crutches in hand. As she hobbled into the living room ready to  settle down for the evening, nothing would prepare her for what she found. Crimson stained the floor and furniture and Sam stood in the middle of the living room surrounded by the bodies of Tamara, Nick and Andy.
"Hello my dear." Sam grins at Delia as he drops the blood covered knife to the floor "I'm so sorry for the mess, I would have loved mummy and daddy dearests to come to our wedding, but they would have gotten in the way. As for Andy, he was trying to steal what was mine and I can't have that."
"No." Delia whispers in shock "No, stay away from me."
"I came back for you." Sam continues to grin as he steps towards Delia preparing to wrap her in his arms "We were meant to be together you and I, I realise that now, and I'm sorry for what I did to you. We can go to England and we can make this right."
"No!" Delia screams as she tries to fight Sam off her "Get off me, no!"
"Delia." Andy voice is hoarse sounding.
"Andy." Delia whimpers as she looks at his half lifeless self as his eyes fight to stay open. "Andy, please don't leave me."
"Uh oh, looks like someone still has some fight in them." Sam snarls "I'd like to see you try now, she's mine."
"Delia." Andy whispers again before his eyes gloss over. "it's okay."
"Andy!" Delia screams as a sob forces its way from her chest. "Andy I need you!"
--------------------
"Hey, you're okay, I'm here." Andy speaks softly as he watches Delia jolt awake.
"Andy?" Delia asks unsure.
"It's me, I'm here." Andy confirms as he carefully pulls Delia towards him "I'm not going to let anyone hurt you, not anymore."
"I feel like every time I close my eyes Sam is there. I feel trapped in that room all over again." Delia cries as she forms a tight grip on Andy in fear he will slip away if she were to let go.
"It's going to be okay, I promise. I'm right here and I'm not leaving." Andy explains as he lovingly rubs Delia's back to try and bring her comfort and calm her down.
"Andy, can you sing for me?" Delia asks as she slowly lets go of Andy to be able to lay back down.
"Of course, anything specific?" Andy questions back as he lays next to Delia whilst propping up on one arm to look at her.
"The King of Pain please?" Delia is slightly timid at her song choice, it was very quickly her favourite song on tour and she was reminded of the way Andy would look at her during it; it was the same look he was giving her now, full of care and adoration.
"Where is the spark that won't fade away? And where is the queen to my king of pain?" Andy sings softly as he strokes Delia's hair bringing a smile to her face "Say my name, never leave your side, I  will be your shadow in the night."
Hearing Andy sing always managed to relax Delia. He had a certain vulnerability to his voice that seemed to ground her, even when he was trying to hide his emotions, they would always shine through in his vocals and that was enough to silence Delia's mind. She felt she had to listen to every single word or else she'd miss something, had to listen to every single little note to really understand the story.
The best way out is always through. Perhaps the butterfly is proof that you can go through darkness yet become something beautiful. As much as Delia wished she could forget Sam and have her mind stop taunting her with the memory of him, she knew it wouldn't just be something she could shrug off. Andy made her feel safe though, she needed Andy and she realised that, maybe going to LA would be a good idea? But could she really leave the life she knows behind just like that?
