Idly trailing his fingers through Thancred's hair in a small reversal of roles, the Hyur's head pillowed in Maru's lap, the Miqo'te hummed thoughtfully and canted his head. Absently his fingers continued their gentle movements through soft white hair.

"A long time," he admitted with a soft smile, brushing a strand of hair from his lover's face. "Though not as long as I could have done I fear. I'm afraid in the early days of our exploits, I had eyes for our former Lord Commander. Not that anything could have come of that...

"But then you charmed your way into my heart without even trying. Now I don't even want to imagine a life without you. You're stuck with me."

He'd always fallen in love too easily, especially with people who showed him kindness but Thancred...

It hadn't taken much for him to fall for Thancred and once he had, he'd never looked back.

"I love you, Thancred. And I'm going to love you even long after we've returned to the aetherial sea."
