anyone wanna talk about how much i love cas this week?

and cas keeps trying!

he keeps trying to overcome a billion years of brainwashing and programming, and he overcomes so much in such a short time. he has victories and setbacks but

but!

by season 15, his will is iron

he prays to chuck for help, but the moment he reads chuck’s intentions as a liar, he has no qualms against turning away, and it is amazing!!! i don’t think you understand just how amazing

it’s such a wonderful moment, tucked away in a season where sam is paralyzed, waylaid, and discomfited by chuck, where dean both gets on board w/ and suckered by chuck, and then has a existential crises over him, where a tough cookie like eileen is puppeted ratatouille-style by him…

#cas things #cas vs chuck #cas has had too many existential crises already #cas gets suckered a lot early in the series #but here at the 11ty hour it’s sam and dean getting suckered #even by belohagor #cas: and you just HAPPEN to have the right spell…#cas does a fantastic job early s15 when all these weirdos flood in #and then!#he leaves and decides nope i’m gonna lend my strength to this fight #it is only when jack reappears that he is shaken #and clings too hard alongside dean to billie’s plan #but the front end of 15 has some incredible moments of cas seeing through everyone #oops spelling damn
