Hi sloxed! I love your art! So I was wondering... I want your opinion on Sakamaki Laito's character in the original 2012 DL game. And if you were to dominate and manipulate him then how would you do it? You see, I'm a little bit on the dominant and sadistic part myself and well... How would you break a character like Laito and turn him into a slave? Fufu~ LONG LIVE THE ORIGINAL DARK GAME!

I really wanted toreply with a doodle but I’ve been in a huge mind block, not even inart but I mean that I find everything difficult to do. So, I’mgoing for the written reply option, I apologize if I let you downwith this since I try to preserve the question until I can artsomething but this one is too interesting and I’m way too tempted,maybe I will edit it with something in the future.

I haven’t playedLaito simply because I am not too much into the triplets, though Ihave read a very well done translation on tumblr of his… route, Iam not very sure if that translation was finished or not since it wassome time ago now.

I have heard the2012 CDs (Do-S, Versus I, some extra tracks but I don’t rememberwell), so I know his attitude mostly… however my idea of him is not“first hand experience” as it should be… what I mean is thatthe ideal would be me playing the game again then replying to this. Ihope I don’t have too much of a twisted idea of him, this isheavily based on reviews from non biased people (I.E people who ifnot 100% of the information was shown, would not impose their opinionon an illegible situation)

My opinion onLaito’s character.

He was the first Drama CD I listened up to, because the person whoshared the link basically said he was… the worst (meaning themeanest one) and it indeed was.

I had no idea about the game, because I was back then into Drama CDs,not Otoges.

So When Laito was talking about “I know what you did with that man”etc. I came to conclusion that my role was  probably a highschoolgirl who got kidnapped and trapped in a vampire mansion and that theywere forcing me to sell my body in order to sustain themselves.

Yes, that was what I thought out of Laito’s way to talk, I believedhim because I had no idea.

Laito’s biggest characteristic is lust, perversion, sexual desire,and it makes him a very rape-ish character, his aura isuncomfortable, not only is he a sadist and downgrades you to a sextoy but also intently tries to dominate over anything sexuallyrelated to you, basically, to pervert you. He’s too pushy in thisaspect as well, I think he makes me quite uncomfortable, all of theSakamaki brothers do assault you, but Laito’s way to imply sex oneverything is what makes one feel unsafe XD.

But that doesn’t end there, he is also extremely disturbing attimes, so not only he is an abuser, sexual harrasser but also is verycreepy and scary. That’s how I feel about him: fear.

If I was todominate and manipulate Laito.

To dominate someone you need to get a hold of their weaknesses first,Laito’s weakness is Cordelia. He’d do anything for her love, andthis is key point for breaking him, if you want Laito to bereconstructed from the core you must take Cordelia as your key.

In the game and CDs you have Cordelia’s heart so let’s take it bythis idea, you have her taste, her soul inside you, and only need toinform yourself on who she was… or maybe you learned through themoments she took control (which if I’m not wrong, does not happenin the triplets routes and it happens mostly on Subaru’s and a loton Reiji’s)

All you need to do is play the game pretend, Laito plays the abuseron you to break you because of his inner frustrations towards anunobtained love, a tragic story where he falls in love with the wrongwoman… not only the wrong woman, but also his own mother, who wasnothing of a mother to him or his siblings (at least in attitude, inDark Fate it is shown she did not mean any wrong)

You have to bring this woman into place and pretend you are her..why? Because Laito will obey most easly this way, you need to be thelusty one, you must be the one in control and never show a sign ofweakness or surprise. Laito’s obsession will help you through itwhile you do this.

Once he is convinced you are his only weakness, is when you starttorture.

Chain him up, grant him pain, harm him with words.

This can take some time because you need to slowly accoplate Laito toyourself and not Cordelia, you need to destroy the walls that Laitolifted on himself. Even though I don’t put to doubt (this is verypersonal opinion) on Laito’s feelings towards her, I think thesexual involvement was only and only because he learned Cordelia’sonly way to bond with other people was through sex.

What I mean is that Laito just decided to talk to Cordelia on her ownlanguage, because he was not the heir (that’s Ayato), he was notthe singing bird (Kanato), he was literally nothing for her. He hadno role… so he became a lover.

The more you deconstruct Laito’s attitude and make him realizethis, make him aware of this, the less he’ll desire to destroy youor piss off, because when you touch someone’s delicated nerves andmake them feel extremely ashamed of themselves, or make them admitthey feel like crap, the easier it becomes to dominate.

This is abusive, but we’re fighting against an abuser who isextremely hard to manipulate… since he is the manipulative one fromthe beginning.

I procceeded in a similar way to Reiji, but I have to say that withLaito it’s a lot more difficult because while Reiji holds aperfectionist attitude and is obviously faking his ego to hide hiscomplexes, Laito developed obsessions and abuse instead, you have todeal with his abuse first, then slip through and investigate him, andthen you have to investigate Cordelia… finally you need to breakhim.

Do tons of messed up stuff with him, make him despise the very ideaof Cordelia, it’s the only way you’ll slip into his heart deepand dominant. Once Laito is destroyed, you’ll be the only onetending him a hand…

“Cordelia will never love you… but I could love you instead…if you were to convince me you deserve it… if you are to acceptyour dark fate today, I will keep this blood for you.”

And that is how I kinda picture it, I think I should go deeperbecause it sounds like a sadist tutorial but it’s very complex.
