Well I mean. Obviously Miles and Kaidan admire each other. Professionally. Sexually. But you know what I mean. It doesn't have to be "wow Shepard you changed my life without you I'd be nothing" or vise versa. They just like each other and save each other and work well together and understand each other very well and each thinks the other is soooo sexy. Simple boring uncreative stuff like that.

#which they try to add and it feels ridiculous #'messed up kid that I was. I owe a lot of that to you'#absolutely not #now maybe if they had committed to the bit and made Kaidan in any way shape or form have issues in me1 #we might have something. But he's not. Everyone's chill with him. He's even a little sassy with Joker #Chakwas says he keeps to himself a bit but like. Not that much. And he has commendations a good rank just below Shepard and by all accounts #Kaidan is doing well for himself in mass effect 1 #and you know his trauma of 'I killeda guy with my biotics' led to choosing a career in killing guys with his biotics....so I mean.#he has elevator dialogue implying he's held back out of fear of hurting people. That's the whole conversation.#Shepard is not involved in it #like maybe if like Ashley he had a stalled career or was considered a problem soldier #I would find him more compelling #if anyone expressed a modicum of fear or ever called him a freak #it's just one of those things about mass effect that's like. It's a neat idea! But they didn't bother to integrate it well #and after a while it's like who even cares #like Jack is the logical next step. A more fucked up Kaidan #but I feel like people often treat Kaidan like Jack
