I like Aymeric as a character a lot but if I could change one thing I wish he more directly acknowledged that he’s directly complicit in why Ishgard is so much of a shithole

Not just bc Ratatoskr, but bc he’s the Lord Commander of the Temple Knights, who are consistently one of the shittiest most abusive organizations in Ishgard (especially if you’re a Brume resident)

#he has a curious trait of blaming the vast majority of Ish//gard’s problems on the church and his father #which is a fun character trait but it’s never really stated (it’s indirect at best) that Aymeric’s failure to hold his own men accountable #is a major reason why Ishgard is such a hellhole for a fuckton of people #blaming the faith is like fair but most of their shittiest actions we see are under his command #which implies he either allows it to happen or just isn’t aware both of which reflect badly on his abilities #(which to some extent I can understand shit will go on under your nose regardless #but the TKs are *not* secretive at all)#ishgardposting #saint.txt
