The fact that OS Ben 10,000 didn't like his younger self, and both Eon and Alien X Ben from Alien X-tinction are also adult Bens primarily going after teenage and tweenage Bens, makes me think that Ben has some deep-seated self-hatred.
Though tbf, if I met my younger self I'd slap me too.
