#like he’s generally lovely and kind#he gives me a free lift every week on a 1.5hr round trip#to a shared hobby#but gods there is only so much i can take of him complaining about woke#it’s not every week#but it’s also often enough to frustrate me#sir you played with lead as a child and worked 12hr+ overnight shifts for various jobs#that is no longer the case due to ‘woke’ (he thinks health and saftey is over the top as well)#can’t wait to learn to drive#most of the old people i know are chill#theres a lovely lady who i ended up chatting about a book that has a gay love story in it#there’s a guy who wasn’t quite sure what my gender was to begin with so used they/them which was sweet#i’m fairly sure there’s another who knows i’m trans but has been polite enough to not out me to others or even misgender me once#but yeah just needed to rant
