Ok so, Tim definitely knew historically famous people like, he helped promote Will’s plays and they were rooming together once and it was very late at night and Tim was trying to sleep but Will had to ask him something and Tim’s mind wasn’t all there so it went like

[3:00 AM]

Will: “Psssst, Tim? You awake? Pssssssst, Tim, Tim, Tim, Tim-”

Tim, who was just about to fall asleep and his brain isn’t at 100% there yet: “What? You egg, I swear if you wake me up again I will stab you”

A response which Will, in his sleep deprived mind, thought was the most hilarious shit he’s ever heard and promptly wrote it down so he wouldn’t forget it and thus was the birth of the phrase “What, you egg? [stabs him]”

The whole [exits, persued by bear] iconic bit was also prompted one late night at the tavern where Will, Tim and their friends who volunteered to be actors in Will’s plays were drinking

Pretty much every bit of bullshit was either just Will going ham on the script while in a sleep deprived state of mind or while being at the very least buzzed with Tim spewing bullshit in the background and thus many iconic phrases were coined

Tim, casually leaning against Will with one arm thrown over the other’s shoulders and holding a wine goblet with his other arm while gesturing aimlessly: “Love story, but base it on that annoying couple we met last week and make them both dumbassess and it’s just bad decisions all around”

Will, also buzzed as he sets down his own wine goblet and takes out a piece of parchment paper, and an ink and quill: “Let’s have their families be in an ancient rivalry that nobody remembers how it started but they hate each other, also they’re 14 and like 16”

Tim: “You’re a goddamn genius keep going my good bard”
