Omg it's so random but Does Kai and Skylor still wear clothes to hide potential genitals from people ? If so, how Wu does get the clothes ? Because they're both pretty large and tall so they need extra sized clothe now.
Does Kai and Skylor still sleep in a bed ? You said they can pretty much curl on themselves and sleep anywhere but maybe they could sleep together in a king sized matress with a lot of warm blankets ?
Okay, yeah, that's definitely random! But, a reasonable question.
So, I'm gonna answer your ask in reverse, so that any snake people nudity can be included under a read more. Later, I'll post the illustration of Kai napping separately (with a matching Skylor art) too for people who wanna reblog that but not the rest of this answer.
As for beds, yeah, Kai and Skylor can still sleep in beds. They usually do. However, they are also very comfortable sleeping from suspended forms. Anacondrai would sleep in swamp trees and rainforest branches suspended over bodies of water for quick escapes and opportunistic hunting opportunities.
(I'm realizing now; considering how large Anacondrai can get, they almost definitely hunted gators at some point in history)
As for concern of nudity and clothes:
Skylor and Kai technically don't need to wear clothes, but it'd feel pretty weird if they didn't, like walking around in underwear but not pants; technically you're covered but Man It Feels Weird.
I personally HC that Skylor didn't get to pick out much of her wardrobe growing up with her father, so she's taking advantage of her new freedom to use it to express herself. She may have no control over being an Anacondrai or how that looks, but she has control over how she dresses now, and she embraces that.
in season 5, Wu apparently orders the Ninjas clothes? Not just the tea uniforms, it's suggested that their new ninja uniforms arrive that way too. He probably has a friend or something in textile and fashion work that he can call up for getting the clothes for his Ninja.
Skylor doesn't have that and I don't think she would have been taught how to alter clothes, but I figure she could go to Nya for help on that front. Nya designed her own Samurai suit (and also had more than a few hand-me-down outfits in her life), she definitely knows how to alter clothes to fit better. Kai is the one who suggests it when he sees Skylor struggling with, say, skirts designed for human waists and not Serpentine ones.
Further answer (including an illustration; not NSFW I don't think but there are no clothes) under the read more;
Snakes genitalia is internal, so, no, at any given point Kai and Skylor don't have to worry about it. The closest to that would be the pelvic spurs, but I HC those only occur on wild snakes and not on Serpentine. It's one of the ways you can tell a Serpentine newborn apart from a normal snake.
(Fun Fact: Anacondas are ovoviviparous, meaning they hatch their eggs internally and give birth to live young instead of laying eggs like Pythons)
(why'd I dedicate so much time to the lighting on the scales in this? No clue)
For some reason Aspheera canonically has breasts (or the implication of them in the contour of her clothing at least). But I refuse to think about what that implies for Serpentine as a whole. Skylor's transformation has basically just given her thicker scale armor across her chest.
I hope that answers your questions!

and by way of honoring the things we once both held dear liner notes
fic here if you haven't read it!
the Pants Party was one of the first ideas kelardry and i had for pmmm au--back in, like, last october or so--of… in minecraft, not wearing full armor is a major combat disadvantage. in pmmm, not transforming is a major combat disadvantage. magical girl outfits are all skirts and dresses. therefore: pants party. or the PP, for short. they would think this was funny.
one of the main Points of this fic is something i've been turning over in my head for a while, and that's NPPP + 3ht parallels. they're both teams based around intentionally disadvantaging yourself. bacon saying "if they kill me then everyone's gonna call them broke. because when you're at four hearts it's definitely a disadvantage in some ways, but it's nice because-- who's gonna kill you? like, if they kill you they're just a bad person, you know?" & parrot saying "you can kill us however many times you want, but killing someone with no pants on is embarrassing. it shows nothing but your desire to only fight the weak."
and specifically ... parrot says that there were two options, on the NPPP. either you put on pants or you start exploiting. and either way you're not weak anymore. and he's sort of right but he's also sort of wrong. 3ht shows that that's wrong, in the wormhole, with planet on three hearts, bacon unstacking his totems. there is a third option: you can stick with your team until it kills you. you can stay weak and die for it. i did check pmmm to make sure this was canon-accurate but also: planet's dead body is wearing pants because, ultimately, she's more of a symbol of the Pants Party/NPPP spirit than either parrot or spoke at this point. she stayed weak. and, also, the NPPP spirit is dead, both because they all gave up on it & bc if you stay weak you die. spoke and parrot end the fic transformed. planetlord doesn't.
some canon stuff i wanted to include in the fic but didn't quite work in: the fact that spoke shows the control room to everyone because he respects that planet stayed on 3 hearts (that planet stuck by the disadvantage in his team name!). the fact that spoke fed parrot totems and gear throughout the wormhole. the fact that parrot helped spoke stage the dupe war.
another main Point of the fic is just ... looking at planet's death ban at the end of s4, in a setting where the server doesn't immediately end and restart. in a setting where planet is just ... dead, and everyone has to grieve that. the vision of this 13-year-old girl, dead on the pavement, because of what spoke did, and parrot can't bring herself to kill spoke but-- something is irrevocably broken, with that. there's no going back. planetlord is dead, in a world where that can't get reversed, in a world where that means something.
relatedly: the fact that in PMMM au they're all 13-15. this is so important to me and also i think it captures something important about lifesteal to me which is that they're all...very young? obviously PMMM au is younger than canon but it's also higher-stakes than canon in some ways. the dissonance between "these are people who are destroying worlds" and "this is a teenager who thinks naming something 'poopies' is the height of humor" was something i really wanted to draw out, esp in this setting where death is real and widespread destruction kills people. in PMMM au they are doing horrible things and also they are all so fucking tiny. planet and spoke are both 13/seventh graders; parrot is 14/an eighth grader. they're middle schoolers! they're middle schoolers. i sprinkle this in throughout bc it's so crushing to me to imagine.
bonus fact: i have ages, wishes, outfits, and general storyline mapped out for, like......12 different characters. i have a vision for basically all of s4 in this au. almost everything that happened in s4 has a pmmm au equivalent. it's fun. if i were to write anything else in this au it'd proooobably be mapicc & zam--i have a lot of specific mental images there. check out this pmmm zam i commissioned i love her so dearly
i did fudge spoke's wish for this fic though. in the broader au it's actually vitalasy that can grant second wishes/contract girls without involving kyubey, and spoke and ash did Some Bullshit with that. but vitalasy is so very a witch by this point in the timeline & i thought it'd be fun if parrot had the same "i could cheat and kill spoke here with her own exploits" dilemma that canon parrot had.
you dupe witches by taking a familiar out of the witch you're killing, keeping it alive, and then feeding it humans until it becomes juuuust large enough that it's a witch of its own and will drop its own grief seed. rinse and repeat. this is horrendously unethical but it CAN get you a ridiculous number of grief seeds quicker and more easily than fighting witches normally! i love lifestealers.
i'm proud of the line "She can’t walk forward without stepping over Planetlord’s corpse." . it is up there with planetlord wearing pants in terms of Blatantly Symbolic Imagery.
the title comes from Unmasked! by the Mountain Goats. in general i really like Beat the Champ + Lifesteal. something about the showmanship of it all. as far as Unmasked! specifically ... there's something about finales and losing your secrets and, worse, losing your gimmick. about parrot's triple agenting and spoke's social engineering. about knowing each other and fighting each other and saying goodbye.

Bad End!AU - The "End" of "Us", The "Beginning" of "You"
Taking place months after Tatsuki's fourteenth birthday and her first transformation into Dark, instead of being sent back in time, Tatsuki successfully steals the "Time Lock" and returns it to her home.
However, because of this, Tatsuki is not safe from her timeline's Krad. Going back in time actually prevented Tatsuki from having to face Krad (until she returns, of course) for an extended amount of time.
So, guess who shows up while the two are having a leisurely stroll because there's literally nothing to do and a walk sounded nice. If you guessed Krad, you get a cookie. Usual Krad vs Dark shenanigans ensue.
It goes on for a few days, actually. Because Krad's tamer in Tatsuki's timeline is an adult, there's a bit more freedom in how Krad can attack Tatsuki and, in turn, Dark.
He does attack them one day while both Tatsuki and Makoto are on the way to school, nearly sending them off the tram area, mirroring how the two had brushed with death when Makoto fell off because he was pushed by an impatient passenger the day of Tatsuki's 14th birthday.
They do end up falling after a moment, as Krad attacks again, and this forces Tatsuki to transform to save Makoto and herself. Given that it's Saint White's Day in Azumano, Tatsuki's dressed pretty smartly (dress shirt and slacks), so Dark's wearing this same outfit when he lands and lets go of Makoto to face Krad.
It goes downhill, as Dark can't really use magic against Krad because it'd put a strain on Tatsuki. Tatsuki argues she can handle it- she handled manifesting his wings, so magic shouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately, it is, but neither of them know that.
It ends up with a fatal blow being dealt- at least for Tatsuki. With her life slowly ending, with each painful breath, Tatsuki gives up her existence to Dark. She chooses to let him take her body- take her place.
Instead of Dark disappearing, like is normal, Tatsuki disappears. She leaves him with just a simple "thank you", and is never heard again.
A week later, Dark wakes up in the hospital in Tatsuki's form and not his own. People are there- Doctors, Nurses, but all he can ask is "Where's Tatsuki?"
Reaching for her in his mind doesn't help. Her voice is gone, her comforting presence is gone. Everything is gone. The normalcy he became used to, the late-night talks when she couldn't sleep-- all of it is gone and it feels like there's something missing.
He shoves these feelings away and pretends he's not affected by it. Pretends to be Tatsuki and deals with the emotions by ignoring them. They aren't his, he rationalizes, so they don't matter.
Dark then plays the role of Tatsuki for years, never forgetting who he really is. And around Tatsuki's eighteenth birthday, he steals a device from a traveler from another world, effectively stranding them there while using it for his own gain.
That gain? Leaving. He leaves Azumano-- Tatsuki's homeworld-- and travels with the device. This device? It's called Elekleid. A multidimensional armor that can allow the user to hop from world to world-- universe to universe. And Dark uses it to leave behind the world Tatsuki was born in.
The identity he takes on in other worlds is "Sasaki Shiori", an up-and-coming idol who has a lot of emotion to her songs. But every time he leaves a world, "Shiori" is forgotten unless a strong bond has been forged between him and the person who remembers. He still steals, but only to survive and not for any other reason, and his true self is only revealed when he dons Elekleid to move on to another world.
Dark is a drifter in the multiverse in the bad end au, so he doesn't stay in one place for too long regardless of circumstance.
#verse; bad end au#i left the timeline vague enough in the beginning for reasons :D#but yeah oops this is what happens when i listen to songs + lore videos#the bad end au no one wanted#I PROBABLY WON'T WRITE THE VERSE MUCH BUT
