Yay! Okay, then if you wouldn't mind, may I requests some headcanons of how a relationship with bluestreak grows from bonding with a human liaison over human pop culture, to him pinning for them, to him finally asking them out?
When you’d first come aboard the Lost Light he’d basically tripped over himself in his rush to meet you, competing with all the other ‘bots who were eager to greet the new squishy addition to the crew. He’d been dying to talk to someone familiar with Earth’s pop culture who wasn’t Swerve, who seemed to favor cheesy sitcoms over anything else. It’d been pretty much impossible to get to you at that point but he was lucky enough to be working when you first stopped by at Swerve’s, where he got to strike up a friendly conversation with you.
You stopped by the bar frequently to chat with him all about movies, shows, books, music, etc. and once you two got to know each other better the conversations started to turn to other topics as well, some of which were on the more personal side. After a month or two of this, Bluestreak felt comfortable in inviting you to private movie marathons where you two watched what you wanted to watch without having to deal with your crew mates and their general rowdiness. Everyone else on the ship got used to listening to you two go back and forth about which movies were better and even Swerve, of all mechs, thought you two talked a lot, which showed just how much of your time was spent with each other shooting ideas and opinions back and forth.
Really he’d watched so many romance movies he should have seen it coming, but one day he’d looked over at you seated next to him and laughing as you made fun of the current film’s subpar special effects, and he’d been hit with the sudden realization that he was hopelessly in love with you. In theory this would mean he would become a smooth talking casanova, having learned everything he needed to know about romancing a human from the many films and shows he’d consumed, but he’s not, far from it actually.
Just about every interaction with you flusters him now that he’s aware of his own feelings, even something as casual as you smiling and thanking him after he brought you your drink is enough to throw him off. The first time you’d casually climbed into his lap, as you sometimes did during movie nights in order to see better and avoid being sat on by another ‘bot, after he’d realized his feelings for you he had nearly had a spark attack. You hadn’t seemed to notice that he had had a shift in his feelings towards you, or if you had you hadn’t said anything, something that simultaneously reassured and terrified him.
If he was going to ask you out, then he had to do it right. He briefly considered using his holoform, just so you two would be on more equal footing, but dismissed the idea as it wouldn’t be as authentic as using his actual body to approach you. In that case he needed to figure out an activity that was possible for both of you and wasn’t just another one of your typical nights spent watching movies and providing your own running commentary. Of course that was assuming that you agreed to go on a date with him in the first place. When he finally did ask you out it was on a planet that the Lost Light was docked on where there were flowers safe for humans that he could present you with, along with some human candy that took a lot of effort to get his hands on considering just how far from Earth the ship was. He wouldn’t have gone for it if he didn’t think there was the possibility of you returning his feelings but it was still a huge relief to have you say yes and admit that you liked him too. He had more planned for the date and was going to wait for the perfect moment to share a first kiss with you but he was so giddy with love and excitement that he swept you up into a kiss right then and there.
