It’s always okay in the end...

Okay so ComicCon was awesome overall <3 I think I was tired and grumpy when I got home the first day so disregard my previous negativity. There were some brilliant (and hilarious) cosplays this year! My personal fav was a guy who had dressed up as Arnold Rimmer (Red Dwarf) from the episode when he goes batshit insane, puts on a dress and pigtails, and has an evil puppet friend called “Mr. Flibble” :’DDDD I really hope the actor appreciated that, since he was there. I met many friends new and old, including someone I hadn’t seen for years. We had lost contact but he is super into Apocalyptica and asked me to bring some prints of my portraits for him next year XD The weirdest thing was, I mentioned the Shadowmakers book at some point and he said he remembered that and had no idea I was behind it (but wasn’t surprised) :’D How far did news of that spread at the time exactly???  Anyway. Traders are all so nice to each other *__* I definitely hope to work with some of them again! One of them had been through similar problems with anxiety and she was very encouraging, and helpful in suggesting how to work at cons without a car, which I’m eternally grateful for. And of course there was lots of lovely/crazy customers who said nice things and spent some money ;) I'm happy to say that my dragon companion Norbert-Desmond-Rhaegal was a massive help with social/general anxiety. Although even without him it’s less nerve-racking talking to people when you know they’re all as weird as you. XD But everyone wanted to pet and hug him, so I could deffo call him a conversation starter as well. Even Danny John-Jules couldn’t resist giving him a boop on the nose! I was well chuffed. I loved him as Cat in Red Dwarf <3 And speaking of actors, one by the name of Russell Hodgkinson came by and gave me a lot of nice compliments about my work. He was really taken with the dragon eyes! Sadly I must admit I have no idea who he is but he’s a thoroughly nice chap. *__* So, overall a very positive experience, even if I could’ve done better financially XD But that’s okay, I’m a noob. I kinda feel like I can start to find a way out of this rut now at least.
