im PRETTY sure dar'jivay ends up becoming immortal somehow (jury is still out on whether it's daedra soul magic bs or vampires but I lean towards the former) and somehow proceeds to miss out on every subsequent important canon event in the elder scrolls timeline bc he just happened to be in a totally different part of tamriel at that point
