#jim lake jr#troll jim#tfw u go into the troll jim tag to find some fresh content of ur fav character#but like 70% of it is your own posts#and at *least* half of the other 30% is *still* sprinkled with anti-merlin salt#*deep breath*#troll!jim was a good narrative choice that underlines gunmar+morgana's threat levels as villains#as well as being a clear display of how dramatic life experiences change people and there's really no true going back from that#(even if he hadn't been made half-troll; post-EternalKnight Jim would not be the same character as pre-amulet Jim)#(AND THAT'S OK)#(THAT IS HOW LIFE WORKS)#(pretty sure people usually call it CHARACTER PROGRESSION)#(IT. IS. OK. TO COME OUT OF THE OTHER END OF A SITUATION DIFFERENT)#merlin was not incorrect to decide jim wasn't physically strong enough to defeat gunmar as a human (even if he was pushy)#he can still be happy and is not doomed-to-perpetual-misery-lest-his-transformation-is-reversed#dismissing Jim's role in choosing to transform in favor of labeling him no more than a victim of Merlin's abuse#does a massive disservice to Jim's character as a heroic and self-sacrificial individual#his life stopped being ''normal'' long before his transformation and he does not need it to be ''normal'' to be happy or fulfilling#his design is 3000% adorable#TROLL 👏 JIM 👏 IS 👏 GOOD 👏#and the anti-Merlin hivemind CANNOT change my mind about it :P#k guess that covers most of it for tonight g'night peeps thx for coming to my ted talk :P
