oh man your comment about ot3 watching the olympics sent me down a crazy rabbit hole! at first i was like "wait, would jamie BE at the olympics?" then i checked and england isn't in the soccer standings. so i was like "maybe in an alternate universe jamie would have tipped the scales to england qualifying." then i googled THAT (why england didn't qualify, i mean)--turns out they would have to compete as the uk rather than england/wales/scotland/NI separately. which led me to another search about the history of uk conflict in olympic sports--

the only and I mean ONLY reason I already knew that was because I once wrote Roy having an olympic medal into one of my fanfics and the Brits were in my inbox immediately like "he would NOT say that" lmao

honestly i think Jamie in particular would definitely be bummed out that he doesn't get to go to the Olympics ever. he watched a documentary on the history of the Olympics once and then went down several of his own rabbit holes and it became his obsession for a while. also he knows he would look soooo sexy with an olympic medal around his neck :( what a shame
