Those asks pointing out Cas taking Dean away from Zachariah in 5x04 (I really hope to see others of them because klghkjdhsh) made me realize why Dean is baffled in 5x18 that Castiel just doesn't grab Adam and bring him to them. / Dean in 5x18: You did for me though.
