Dan Feng liked a wide variety of plants, particularly flowers. (Particularly lotuses, water lilies, hydrangeas and plum blossoms.)

He also liked carnivorous plants, especially sundews, butterworts, bladderworts and your typical Venus flytraps~

Just imagine the High Elder accepting typical gifts from people seeking favors — and then he comes across a pot of some carnivorous plant species from an outworlder, and trotting back to his greenhouse like a happy cat that managed to catch a fish.

(That outworlder is definitely getting their requests fulfilled.)
