#he also gets on a lot better w danny in the new timeline

Note
You can't say all that and then not tell us how Clara got her world ending superpowers (and also if this timeline Melody's will be born)
yeah yeah
okay, so, 2 years after the mass breakout, gallifrey finally comes after twelve. and, in the process of taking him, they kill danny.
now gallifrey aren’t expecting missy and clara to come right after them, figuring that they wouldn’t dare without the manpower. what they don’t know is that twelve is somewhat friendly with unit, and even tho they can’t do shit without an excuse (& it’ll take them a few hours at least to falsify one) they can still allow the other 2 to ‘steal’ weapons from their armoury (also missy maybe steals some bodies from their morgue but really they should’ve expected that).
(kate doesn’t think clara should go. she’s only a weak telekinetic with no combat training after all, she won’t get out of there alive. but clara insists, and as much as missy does like her, she’s p sure it’ll go easier for her with a human shield)
they split up after breaking in, clara insisting that it’ll let them find twelve quicker. which technically yeah, but that’s not why she suggests it. she waits until missy’s gone, and then, instead of staying on the holding cells level, she goes straight for the labs. and she finds some lab techs and she makes them give her everything they gave the doctors and masters.
missy can reanimate the dead. not perfectly, not in a way that could bring danny back, but still. all clara needs is for that ability to be refined somehow. increased.
twelve is rotting somewhere in this facility and if she had anymore clarity she’d be ashamed but. she still has danny’s blood on her clothes and she doesn’t care. she needs the experiments’ abilities. she needs to bring him back.
but she isn’t one of the experiments, her cells haven’t been engineered specifically for this, her physiology hasn’t been modified to allow this to work. the only reason the lab techs agree to do this is bc they know that this concoction should kill her.
and it does.
it rips her apart, on a cellular level. every strand of dna and energy and radiation clashing to combine an implosion. and that should be it. except—
except danny was never the target. why would they care about him? twelve sure didn't. their original target was clara.
the easiest way to take down twelve is to make him use his abilities until he runs out of energy, so that's what they did. they killed clara, forcing twelve to loop. and they kept killing her, again and again and again with an ai they created just for the purpose of reading any qualities that twelve had changed so it could always change its plan in return (bc gallifrey is so gd bad at their job, this ai obviously gained sentience. it calls itself 'the great intelligence', but that's a different story). they expected twelve to use his abilities until he couldn’t (which he did) but he also pushed himself further than he ever has, bc this is clara. he looped and looped and looped until he physically couldn’t anymore. until he finally, for the first and last time, gave in and asked danny for help. he’d tried missy, who hadn’t been able to think of anything else, and clara, who’d told him to let her die. finally he asked danny, and danny— well.
and danny offered to die in her place.
(twelve will never ever tell clara that)
so now clara is soaked in temporal energy and it wouldn't matter normally but twelve's time looping dna was in that cocktail, and it reacts violently. she splits and she reforms and she splits and she reforms billions upon billions of times and in the process the other abilities clash and combine and merge and what’s left isn’t quite clara.
(what’s left is entirely clara. clara oswald, tiny human who looks upon the world and doesn’t like what she sees. who decides to change it. she still can’t bring danny back, so what is the point. what is the point in a world where danny pink isn’t alive)
(the world would’ve survived if twelve had let clara die. he still can’t find it in himself to regret his choice)
#asks#doctor who#clara oswald#the doctor#twelve#the master#missy#dw superpowers au#i have a lot of thoughts about this au should i make like an blog just for it? do ppl do that?? idk#u may notice there's no mention of bill#that's bc in the original timeline 12 doesn't really trust her?#in the new timeline river's the one who encourages him to#he also gets on a lot better w danny in the new timeline#bc in the original one 12's only friend is clara#& like they're still p codependent in the new timeline#but him having other friends allows him to accept clara having danny#(maybe he wouldn't allow danny to die in this timeline? jury's out)#sorry this took so long i was trying to figure out how to summarise this plot concisely? it's still p long & rambling sorry#lovethellamas

Phantom DNA
fanfiction
word count: 1138
Prompt by @kinglazrus When Danny wakes up, bound and gagged, he has no idea where he is or how he got here. The GIW agent chained to the wall across from him is just as confused.
dont @ me about the name thats the one thing im super bad at sygahjshi
Danny sighed happily as he sat snuggled between his two best friends. They were having a movie marathon, but they decided they wanted to torture Danny instead.
“Stop! Sam!” He laughed, Sam’s hands glided across Danny’s sides as she tickled him, Tucker laying across his lap blocking his escape path.
Suddenly, Tucker’s wet hand rubbed across his face.
“Dude, Tucker! That was gross!”
He laughed anyways.
They kept going at it for a while until Sam suddenly stopped and smacked him in the arm.
“OW! What was that for?”
Sam blankly stared at him, before smacking him in the leg, her expression unchanging.
“Sam..?” Danny asked worriedly.
A hand slammed into his chest and Danny glared down at Tucker as he rubbed the sore spot.
“Dude!” He yelled.
And suddenly, it felt like he was falling backwards into darkness. Something was pulling him down and up and when he stopped moving he could feel himself sitting on a hard floor.
What…
He blinks his eyes open to see his jumpsuited legs.
Oh a dream. It must’ve been a-
SMACK!
Something slams into his face and his eyes close in surprise, his hand coming up to rub the spot where it hit. Looking at his lap he sees a nicely polished black shoe.
“What..?” He mumbled.
“Oh Sam, muahmuahmuah! Tucker! Stop it, please! Ahehehe! C’mon Fenton, wake up!”
Danny raises his head to see Wes, in a GIW suit no less, sitting across from him chained to the wall.
“Wes, what-”
Danny goes to stand up but is pulled back by his own restraints, slamming back into the wall behind him. So much for that.
“Wes, what’s going on?”
Wes fumes. “I don’t know! I figured you’d have something to do with this!”
Danny deadpans at him. “I’m also chained to the wall? If you haven’t noticed, Weston?”
Growling, Wes continues talking. “So where are we Fenton? In a secret room in your parents lab?”
“What? No. This isn’t what the dungeon looks like-”
“What?!”
“-anyways, this looks like the GIW compound. You know, the place you seem to work at now, Weston.”
Wes scoffs. “As if. I’ve never seen this room before! And that’s right! I do work there now! So why would they, hypothetically, have me chained in a room inside the compound with Danny Phantom?”
Danny throws his hands into the air as far as they would go. “I don’t know! Maybe they’ve realized how crazy you are and decided to lock you up in solitary!”
“This isn’t solitary dumbass, you’re right there.”
“OK whatever!” Danny huffed and crossed his arms. “How are we gonna get out?”
“Uhm, your ghost powers? You know, since you’re a ghost?” Wes drawls.
Danny tries to phase out of the shackles around his wrists. “Nope, they’re ghost proof. What a shocker.”
“Can you phase me out of mine?”
Danny just stares at Wes from across the room, face drawn down in an expression of ‘really?’
“I can’t reach you Wes. You’re all the way across the room! And I’m still shackled myself, we didn’t solve that part yet.”
“Mehmehmehmehmeh.” Wes yammered, mimicking a mouth with his hand. “What are you good for if you can’t even save us?”
Danny’s eye twitches. He’s been awake for less than fifteen minutes and he’s already had it up to here with Wes and his entitlement. “I’d be able to save us if we weren’t trapped inside of the GIW compound!”
“That’s not where we are! I’d know!”
“Oh really Wes, how long have you been working here? A day? A week? I’ve been trapped here before! I’d probably know a lot better than you right now!”
“Oh, that’s fresh! Just because you’ve been in a couple rooms doesn’t mean you know everything about the compound!”
“That’s not what I said, Wes! I-”
Danny was interrupted as the sound of a clang rang throughout the room, coming from the door. Slowly, the door was pushed open and in walked Agent K.
“Ha! See, Wes! I told you!”
Wes paled, looking at Agent K. “Uh, Fenton, now’s not the time.”
“I’m not-”
“Agent K, sir.” Wes saluted. “What’s going on?”
Agent K stared down at the both of them before turning to Wes. “As you know, rookie, as part of the preliminary evaluation that all new agents go through, everyone gets a DNA test.”
“Yeah?” Wes asked. “What does that have to do with what’s going on right now?” “Well, you see, Agent W,” Agent K continued. “We found DNA that matches traces of DNA left in Phantom’s ectoplasm.”
“What? How is that possible? It must be his fault! He must’ve planted it to get back at me!”
As Wes starts arguing with Agent K, Danny stares blankly at the floor in horror. It couldn’t be. It just couldn’t.
“No... “ Danny whispered. “He can’t be a clone. I’d know. I would have figured it out!”
“A clone?! What the hell are you talking about?!”
“A clone, Wes!” Danny shouted, meeting Wes’s gaze. “A clone! Plasmius has made clones of me before, most of them not very successfully. I thought he’d stopped, but…”
Wes’s face drains of color as he stares at Danny, cogs turning in his own brain. “You can’t be serious. Me? A clone of you? How would that even make sense? I have my own memories of growing up and everything! That can’t all be fake! Tell him, Agent K!”
Agent K stared down at Wes, his face a stone wall.
“The science doesn’t lie. We’ll be disposing of you both shortly.”
And with that, Agent K walked out the door and pulled it closed with a clang.
The silence rang out and Danny watched Wes, who had wide eyes and was starting to breathe quickly. His hands made their way to his hair and he pulled.
“I can’t be a clone! I remember growing up with my mom in Wisconsin! I remember when I moved here to live with my dad! That can’t all just be fake can it? My whole life can’t just be a big lie! It doesn’t make any sense!”
Danny sighed. “The timeline matches up. You moved here after I got my powers, after Vlad created Dani and lost her.”
“No!” Wes shrieked. “I’m not a clone! I’m Wes Weston!”
“Yes, you are Wes Weston. I’m not taking your identity away but…”
A hissing sound starts emanating from the room around them. Both boys look around until they glance at the ceiling, seeing vents dispensing a green fog. Danny coughs.
“I hope you’re just a human, Wes. Otherwise… Otherwise you’ll probably… Probably won’t make it.”
Danny collapses on his side, in a coughing fit, while Wes watches on in horror.
The fog filled Wes’s vision until Danny could no longer be seen, and soon the coughing stopped.

“When I was 11 years old my art teacher drummed into the class the mantra, “draw what you see, not what you think you see”. An interesting, yet ironically simplistic point that requires you to look intensively to find the finer details and not interpret something to suit your capabilities. While my art abilities aren’t exactly stellar, I have never forgotten this notion and how relevant it is to so many aspects of life in which it’s important to really look and study something and not just come to your own conclusion. When it comes to the Jackson’s allegations, there’s a lot of ‘thinking’ that takes place – “I think he might have…”, “I think this song means…”, “I think he was…” – And yet, thinking isn’t required. You just need to look intensively at what’s there, not what you might think is there...
SO, ASIDE FROM THE HEAR-SAY AND HOOPLA, WHAT IS THERE ?!
There are accusations against Jackson, there is the fact that no charges were brought against Jackson in the criminal case in 1993 (the settling of the civil suit had no impact on this), a verdict from the 2005 trial which deemed Jackson not guilty on all [14] counts and, then, there is an array of material that can thoroughly disprove the fundamentals of the accusations against him. There’s not really a grey area. The FBI had no issue concluding the same, after a 10-year investigation. Yes, there are certain things that appear unconventional – but not criminal, and these are also very clear points when understood properly and in context.
A common reply to these points is “well I believe that…” – the wonderful thing about a fact is that you don’t need to apply your own sense of belief. A fact is a fact. The heavy lifting has been done for you. That’s usually further met with “Well, I’m entitled to my opinion” – Sure, but when a fact renders your opinion null and void and can prove you wrong, if you’re insistent on sticking with your ‘opinion’ anyway, then this is not a discussion that’s being had on an intellectual level. In the absence of research, Jackson’s public battering has taken place largely on the idea that “because I said so” is all that is required to make a judgement. In a climate that seeks to convict on word alone, the allegations against Jackson are prime and none was so evident than in Leaving Neverland, a movie where two men and their families told a series of stories that on closer inspection, appear embellished, inaccurate or completely untrue. It was believed in its totality in spite of evidence proving otherwise. And yet, there remains this frankly bizarre idea that ‘Leaving Neverland’ must not be challenged !
WHY ?!!
Surely discovering it’s not truthful wouldn’t undermine the concept of a documentary and create a distrust in the industry? Surely discovering it’s not truthful wouldn’t be damaging for victims of sexual abuse? Surely discovering its not truthful wouldn’t impact the multi-million dollar lawsuit Robson and Safechuck have taken out against the Jackson Estate.
SURELY, SURELY, SURELY...
But, as long as we just ‘believe’, everything we’re told and dare not challenge the narrative pushed out by the powerhouses behind ‘Leaving Neverland’, then we can deem ourselves experts, without a single piece of evidence to the contrary. Welcome to the dawn of a new-old age!
The problem with ‘belief’ is, at what point is it not enough? At what point must somebody stand up and say, “I need to validate this.”? And, while some would rather we live in Salem 1693, where we point, accuse and burn at the stake; we do need to validate claims. It’s part of existing in a civilised society. And seeking to validate what’s being said doesn’t make you an ‘apologist’ or a ‘truther’ – that’s dictatorial language. While it’s fundamental we listen to accusations of abuse to determine the outcome, it’s frankly dangerous to replace ‘listen’ with ‘belief’. It’s also perplexing that, in 2020, this still needs to be explained.
Someone said to me “But I’d rather believe a potential liar, than support a potential rapist.” And therein lies the problem – that many would rather consider what’s going to make themselves look better in the long run. They feel that backing a ‘liar’ would offer better redemption in the face of public opinion – seemingly saying ‘we can all identify with the concept of lying so it’s easier to digest if we’re proved wrong’. But, this isn’t about saving face for you – this is about truth.
When Leaving Neverland dropped in early 2019, many looked to the Jackson Estate for some sort of rebuttal. The Estate was quick to launch a $100 million lawsuit against HBO, citing a breach of contract for the 1992 agreement the network had to screen Jackson’s Dangerous World Tour. The unprecedented figure ensured the story made major headlines around the world while firing a warning shot to other networks who consider doing the same thing.
While the Estate has insisted they’re working behind the scenes on damage control, there was a notable lack of anything in the mainstream that would help the public balance the negativity. Taj Jackson launched a crowd funder with the premise of setting the record straight and while that will no doubt serve as something that will be a staple in the fight against injustice when it comes out, something was needed immediately.
Earlier in 2019, Danny Wu had produced a YouTube video discussing the accusations put forward in ‘Leaving Neverland’ and made mention of a new witness who had previously moved in the same circles as Jackson’s first accuser. The witness happened to be Josephine Zhony, a public relations specialist who had several interacts with accuser Jordan Chandler, years after his family accused Michael Jackson of child abuse.
Initially planned as a one-on-one interview with Zhony, Wu had no intention of making a documentary. “I was in a very unique position where I was able to interview a witness who had never told her story before,” said Wu. “I realised along the process that a one on one interview was not going to be enough, it would mean a lot for the fans, but for the neutrals, it was not going to be enough. Around the time there were a series of short YouTube documentaries that were very well made, I just thought, why not take it to the next level, why not make a feature-length documentary?”
What was interesting about Wu’s approach is in the idea that “Square One” was not an ‘answer’ to ‘Leaving Neverland’, it was about going back to the source of the accusations to help understand why Jackson has been continually tied to such claims. What it demonstrates is how people are far more susceptible to the idea of Jackson being an abuser, because they keep hearing it. It’s known scientifically as the ‘Illusory Truth Effect’, which is a tendency to believe false information as correct, after repeated exposures. After over 20 years of repeated exposure, anyone coming forward with new claims against Jackson knows they are doing so, under pre-emptive conditions.
So, with “Square One’s” position, if circumstances and fact can, at the very least, create doubt upon those initial accusations, then the rest should also be viewed under scrutiny. Because”Square One” does not, emphatically or boldly, suggest Michael Jackson is innocent. It simply presents the facts of the case which allows the viewer to reach their own conclusion. And that’s exactly why we’re seeing viewers in their droves affirm their belief in Jackson’s innocence. They can see facts, they can comprehend the timeline and better still, all the information presented is information they can go and locate for themselves. There is no smoke and mirrors. There are no discrepancies in Jackson’s whereabouts. There are no claims made in buildings that didn’t exist.
It doesn’t need to force the viewer to accept Jackson’s innocence; it just needs them to comprehend the facts, which ultimately points to Jackson’s innocence. Unlike ‘Leaving Neverland’, which relies on a cognitive bias to run its narrative.
While ‘Leaving Neverland’ came in like a hurricane, attempting to destroy everything in its path,”Square One” is a quiet storm. Of its own volition, it reached number one on Amazon Prime’s documentary chart. “The goal from the very beginning was always to end up on a platform like Amazon Prime or a video-on-demand platform,” says Wu. “By the time I released the trailer, I had prematurely put out the YouTube release date. When I was in London, I met someone who worked in film and he said if I wanted to get it on Prime, I’d need to take it off of Youtube one day and that was something I really didn’t want to do. But, we made a more polished version of “Square One” with some changes and submitted it to Amazon Prime and luckily, that was the easy part. To see the success it’s had now, that’s the mind-blowing part.”
With its new home on Amazon Prime, “Square One” is finally reaching more people and, when compared to ‘Leaving Neverland’, it is really a story of David Vs Goliath. “Square One” was made by an independent filmmaker, on a shoestring budget, with no media or mainstream backing and found its way onto Amazon Prime, through Wu’s commitment to what he created. Whereas ‘Leaving Neverland’ had the financial backing of two massive corporations in the UK & U.S, prime time programming slots, Extensive PR agency support, mainstream media private screenings, and a Sundance premiere. It was further supported by interviews on all major news outlets, a post-movie special and buy-in from major entertainment industry figures. Its director bounced from channel to channel making false and inflated claims as if he was also one of Jackson’s accusers while suggesting the Jackson Estate were a powerful entity to be reckoned with. It’s fundamentally flawed to suggest the Jackson Estate are ‘powerful’ and ‘merciless’ in dealing with these accusations when ‘Leaving Neverland’ used the power and money of the aforementioned networks to bring the majority of the mainstream media to heel. And anyone who dared suggest the movie was anything other than truthful in its entirety was shut down, dismissed and silenced. That’s the power ‘Leaving Neverland’ wielded. Yet, it is now referred to as an ‘award winner’, as the giants behind HBO and Channel 4 evidently threw their weight, PR agencies and most likely their cash, to ensure a ‘win’. It won an award for ‘editing’ despite continuation issues set 17 months apart and having been exposed for manipulating footage to appear damning.
By contrast, “Square One” hasn’t received or purchased any awards because the truth doesn’t seek a glorified door-stop to stick on the mantelpiece. It’s as if nothing says “healing” quite like the constant reminder of your “experiences”, sitting above the fireplace in your lounge! If that does not demonstrate the intent of ‘Leaving Neverland’ to those who refuse to read a court transcript, then ultimately nothing will.
“Square One’s success lies in the fact it managed to achieve its listing and growing acknowledgement without buying its way into all forms of media. Like a well-constructed documentary, it relies on facts through an in-depth timeline, supported by research, key accounts and first-class journalism. It doesn’t leave anything out in favour of what would appear more convincing and it doesn’t attempt to manipulate the viewer – it just presents you with the facts. While Wu’s tactic could have been to present account after account of former Jackson friends and associates looking emotionally into the camera and regaling the viewer with tales of Jackson’s generosity and friendship; he rightly chose to spare us the emotional manipulation in favour of simply presenting the case and – here’s the best part – it can all be backed up with evidence. Which is ultimately why it continues to inspire social media statements from individuals reversing their opinion having now seen both. It provided the crucial part of the discussion that was needed, something ‘Leaving Neverland’ deliberately chose to omit – balance.
In the year since, so much has come out to disprove so many of the allegations, yet in a race to the top, it’s astonishing to me that not a single top-level journalist from a leading media outlet has thought to crack open ‘Leaving Neverland’ and address the 60+ discrepancies in the movie. It could be an award-winning story, based on research and facts, not opinion. What are they afraid of? Or, more importantly, who is preventing them? It’s also fundamental to notice that while claiming to have integrity, no mainstream journalist gave the same effort, attention or merit to “Square One”. Where was the coverage from Good Morning America? NME? Sky? CNN? TEN? All were so keen to discuss Jackson in detail just months prior, yet on the rise of “Square One”, again silence. It’s glaringly obvious Jackson is only a good topic when a lean towards guilt is central to the discussion, not a fully researched, fact-based documentary which highlights the truth behind the years of allegations.
Any mainstream journalist who gave ‘Leaving Neverland’ its 5 minutes but refuses to do the same for “Square One” is demonstrating their bias and refusal to really look into the case. And it’s somewhat understandable. If you were somebody who sat and invested four hours in a movie that reduced you to tears or invoked repulsion, admitting that you have been duped is something that many lack the will-power to acknowledge.
Instead, they’ve developed this frankly bizarre concept of ‘separating the art from the artist’ in an attempt to appear to approach the debate on an intellectual level, when in actuality it was nothing more than trying to want the best of both worlds. Those pushing this ideology wanted to be able to throw up their zombie hands to Thriller on Halloween safe in the knowledge they’d convinced others it was ok to do so because we’re enjoying ‘the art, not the artist’.
IT’S RIDICULOUS .
Anyone who thinks you could take Michael Jackson out of Thriller is probably already aboard a sailboat looking for the edge of flat earth!
If you truly believed that Michael was guilty of such heinous and monstrous things, why on earth (round, not flat) would you want to still listen to his music? And this is something Jackson’s fans have been saying all along. They don’t defend him because they ‘like his music’; the music doesn’t even come into the discussion of the accusations against Jackson, it has absolutely no weight in building the facts and evidence in the case. The major challenge “Square One”, and indeed Jackson’s Estate face is entering the battle of feelings with cold hard facts. And that doesn’t make you popular. Nobody wants to be the person telling a crying athlete who lost the race, “Sorry, but the fact is, you just weren’t fast enough!” But with allegations as serious as these, how the movie made you ‘feel’ is redundant, especially when the accused is not here to defend themselves. A quick look across much of the coverage from ‘Leaving Neverland’ was self-important op-ed pieces about how the journalist was made to ‘feel’ based on what they’d been told and not what the facts were. After all, telling your audience you’re seeking $1.6 billion from the Jackson Estate is not going to have audiences crying and marching to twitter to express their distress.
So what happens next? In the year since the release, there have been requests from the Jackson fan community for Wu to follow up “Square One” with another documentary – a question I put to Wu who insisted “I’m always very flattered when fans tweet me asking for a “Square One – Part 2”, it warms my heart that the fans place so much trust in me to do something like that, but in my opinion what makes “Square One” so special is, it’s not a rebuttal documentary and it’s not a counter documentary. We tell our own story, so I think that’s one of the reasons it has resonated with neutrals so much – it’s not been told before.” And Wu is right. Whereas ‘Leaving Neverland’ treated the public like geese being forced fed to make foie gras, “Square One” gently nudges the viewer on to the path where they suddenly realise the entire misconception they’ve been exposed to all this time. To force-feed them with yet another documentary would start to feel like agenda pushing. Additionally, Wu explains that, as an ambitious filmmaker, he’s keen to explore other topics outside of the Jackson realm and develop his craft. Asked what he sees as the legacy of “Square One”, Wu points to the change in the way we view and consume media, “we don’t have to listen to the same select voices of the news” he states “if you want to make a change and tell your story, there is an opportunity.” Additionally, he acknowledges the sheer organic force behind “Square One’s” elevation “the fans who sacrifice their time spreading the film through word of mouth, the individuals who translated “Square One” to include different subtitles, journalists who stood behind the film, the cast who stakes their career reputation to tell their stories, my two incredible associate producers who have dedicated months to researching, the legacy is theirs. They are the legacy.”
However, the most important point Wu shared, as we look at the enormous task “Square One” has taken on, was in its ability to break through the mainstream: “I would like it to be remembered for the impact that a micro-budget documentary film can have in one of the most gatekept industries.”

This is That AU + bonus Resistance Cell AU (Danny Phantom)
(This turned out way longer than I intended, but god it’s a fun idea. If anyone creates anything out of this, please send it my way! And if you have any ideas to add, feel free!)
Danny Phantom “The Ultimate Enemy” AU where the future is the Ghost Zone and the Ghost Zone is the future (aka they’re switched, and the future is thought of as a location in time).
Skulktech’s medallion falls off? The gang’s sent 10 years forward in Amity Park, and Danny’s introduced to the mayhem he causes firsthand. Perhaps Clockwork has headquarters set up there now bc Dan drove him (and all the other ghosts) out of the Ghost Zone.
The Ghost Zone itself, much like the human realm, is also destroyed, but even more so. When Dan was done with Earth he invaded the GZ and didn’t look back. He declared himself the Ghost King, and when he learns the Ghostly Wail, he uses it to wreak even more havoc and scare off any lasting threats to his reign.
The ghosts that dare to stay in the GZ are either:
trying to appease Dan by doing his bidding so they’ll be spared (not that it helps much)
actually want to side and fight for him (like the Fright Knight)
got stuck in the aftermath of the invasion and are basically prisoners
or are part of the small resistance cell that tries to take Dan down (like Valerie in TUE)
So Danny and co. end up running from Clockwork into the GZ (which is also 10 years in the future) and Danny meets Dan and all that. Things go pretty much like the episode, except everything’s adapted to the switched environments:
The trio doesn’t need the medallions to stay in/leave the GZ, but perhaps they’re still wearing them from their fight with Clockwork anyway. Perhaps they work the same way for Sam and Tucker, but when they take them off before being crushed, they end up back with Clockwork in the future and not back in present-day Amity Park.
Since Dan knows keeping Danny’s medallion tethered to him would be pointless, he just takes it and uses it to go back to present-day Amity to ensure his future.
Dan throws a tied-up Danny through his self-created portal back to Earth. Whether Danny ends up back where he started with Clockwork or somewhere else entirely is up to you, but oooh, consider the ramifications of both:
He goes back to Clockwork:
he’s with Sam and Tucker again. He can explain everything he learned to them and they can come up with a plan, perhaps form a team with Clockwork and others.
BUT as a result, he doesn’t learn the Ghostly Wail (at the very least, not here, and possibly not at all bc up to this point, he probably hasn’t seen the Wail in action: he didn’t see Dan through one of Clockwork’s screens, and Dan didn’t use it on him during their first encounter. So it’s likely that the first he’ll see of it is when Dan uses it during their fight at the present-day Nasty Burger).
He ends up somewhere else entirely:
he could end up alone somewhere random, and possibly the only thing that saves him is the Boooo-merang that’s floated through time and the GZ (bc Jazz probably doesn’t know which realm he’s in in the future?) and found a natural portal to Earth?
Or maybe he ends up exactly where he needs to be, in Vlad’s lair, and although he doesn’t need the medallion removed, Vlad can at least free him from being tied up and can explain things, maybe help him get back to Clockwork.
Or maybe he ends up alone but then finds/is found by some ghosts (much like in canon). Maybe they still act like his enemies and he gets aggravated enough to learn the Ghostly Wail (à la canon). Maybe he doesn’t and they destroy him and (unknowingly) their chance to have things be different. Or maybe he can convince them that he’s not the same guy as Dan (yet), and they work together to organize an attack against Dan, maybe even with some humans (since this is Earth, and Dan destroyed both their homes, I’m thinking at least some groups of ghosts and humans would sympathize with each other and learn to live together). They also find Clockwork, Sam, and Tucker, since they need Clockwork to go back in time. (And maybe even future!Valerie, if she’s around?)
Or maybe Danny just ends up alone and stuck somewhere, and just...dies completely, leaving everyone and everything doomed.
However he gets back (if he does) and whoever with, the present-day story has a few key notes:
Unless Clockwork decided to send Sam and Tucker back, Jazz’s role is pretty much the same, only she might be a bit more worried about not being able to find Danny or his friends anywhere to confront him about cheating. When she sees Dan (posed as Danny) for the first time, she might be a relieved at first, maybe even hugs him, before going into the cheating thing. She’ll also try to send the Boooo-merang, but again, the odds for it finding Danny in the future are very slim since he’s in the human realm.
Also regarding Sam and Tucker: if they return, they end up tied to the sauce at the Nasty Burger like in canon. But if they’re still with Clockwork when Danny finds him?? Hoo boy, just you wait.
The final battle with Dan is the big present-day difference:
Danny likely doesn’t have the Ghostly Wail, so unless he learns it like right after Dan uses it against him, Dan will probably win and ensure his future (particularly if Danny fights him alone).
But if Danny has allies (regardless of how he got them/who they are)? You better believe the odds go up in his favor. That’s a whole lot of organized firepower, and it leaves Dan with only 2 truly useful powers: the Ghostly Wail and duplication. But Team Danny did a lot of training. Heck, the ghosts probably told Danny about the Ghostly Wail, so even if he doesn’t learn it/hasn’t actually seen it yet, they can all be prepared to take cover or whatever when Dan uses it.
What’s more, while most of the team is fighting Dan, a small group (either humans with ecto-weapons or w/ghosts’ help) can free Jack, Maddie, Jazz, and Lancer (and Sam and Tucker if they’re tied up, too; otherwise they’re probably leading this whole group). Now they got all the Fentons fighting Dan (and a much more motivated Danny).
Basically, Team Phantom wins and then some.
But consider this: in any of the scenarios where Sam and Tucker are fighting Dan alongside Danny from the get-go, something glitches in the plan and while they’re able to defeat Dan, they’re not able to save Danny’s family + Lancer. And for whatever reason (either Dan defeated him or he just decides to let this one play out or whatever), Clockwork doesn’t reset the timeline.
What does that leave Danny with? Two best friends (and possibly some allies, maybe even future!Valerie (which is a whole ‘nother rabbit hole to dive into)) that support him through the grief and loss. Perhaps they make him feel less alone, and he grows stronger bc of this and learns some lesson about the value of friendship or “some such nonsense.” 😉
But maybe Danny doesn’t see that lesson. Maybe Sam and Tucker are there to see him struggle with this new reality. Time after time he tells them that he’s afraid of turning into that monster, and no matter what they do, they watch as their best friend slowly evolves not into a Dan created through a fusion of two ghost halves, but a (still half-ghost?) Dan bred out of fear, anger, and self-hatred. Not the same Dan as the original; perhaps something much, much worse, and much more personal (YOU try shooting your evil best friend when you know there’s still good in him, you hope).
And yet another alternate ending to all this (bc apparently I can’t be stopped): perhaps Dan does survive the Nasty Burger fight and sees his goal through of stalling Danny just long enough to see the Nasty Burger explode and ensure his future (or so he thinks). He just isn’t able to defeat all of Danny’s allies. Heck, maybe they’re even able to free the Fentons + Lancer in time. All that’s for certain is that when the Nasty Burger explodes, Dan vanishes, leaving Team Phantom with their Ultimate Enemy™️ at large (and likely still with a time medallion).
Enter the Resistance Cell AU (and the opportunity for me to work in DS9 references): all the survivors of the Battle at the Nasty Burger band up behind Danny, and while everything’s fine in the world at first, they immediately start hunting down Dan to try to stop him before he can screw things up again.
This, of course, is way harder than it sounds (and depending on Clockwork’s status/willingness to help, could be even doubly so).
Depending on the original battle’s outcome, Danny might be motivated in part by a desire to avenge his family (which could lead to some conflict within the group). In any case, he’s definitely motivated to not turn into Dan, though sometimes he needs reassurance from Tucker and Sam late at night.
The way I picture it, Dan slowly sends the world into chaos yet again, with Team Phantom usually one step behind him. (Though maybe, they’re able to at least form some relief teams to help victims after they hear about an attack and try to gather clues to hunt him down? And maybe these victims join the team and help the fight, and maybe Dan doesn’t end up as powerful this time.)
But to go the angsty route, Dan basically gets a second chance to take over the world and GZ, and ten years later, the only thing stopping him from achieving complete domination is an undercover resistance group led by a young man who’s kept his vow to never become like him.
The only thing is, Dan has an ally of his own this time around (one more powerful than the Fright Knight): Vlad Plasmius.

hello! i am fashionably late, but nonetheless i am hERE and ready to re-introduce vinny the dad to the world! most of y’all know my twitter, if not it’s @ hwarangprince and my discord is toni marie#3746. this intro post is going to be long so fasten ur seat belts kids. i promise this will be worth it. there are plots at the end!!!
bio tldr:
taeyong is the middle triplet, right between his brothers ricky and danny :)
he’s rly shy in his younger years and tends to just stay by himself most of the time while his brothers are much more outgoing
but then he decides he wants to be a fire fighter like his father and promises him that he’d keep him safe and be at his side
this kinda leads up to his whole thing about loving to help people, he wants to help Everyone ( as long as they aren’t someone trying to pick on danny )
in middle school he opens up a Lot, and tries helping other more and just generally becoming someone that can be relied upon
he meets moonsik ( an npc in his life, that becomes his best friend and implied lover )
keeps moon a secret from his family bc he’s not sure how they’d react
when their father dies in a fire, taeyong feels VERY guilty about it, bc he promised him he’d protect him and such
it’s at this point that taeyong abandons his own dreams, and settles on helping ricky and danny achieve theirs
their step father is SHIT, and ricky leaves, leaving danny and taeyong to become unhealthily attached to each other, bc taeyong really just dedicates his life to his baby triplet
he picks up jobs and ditches high school, giving all his money to their shitty step dad to help with the family, and becomes kinda the man of the household
when he finds out danny had become a hero he screams and yells for aku and demands to become a hero basically, bc he wants to protect danny
vinny takes on a bit of a new persona, and tends to fight and fuck around a Lot, mostly to protect danny or to forget his problems at home
after the timeline reset, he moves in with his triplets and forgives ricky for leaving them
but life with the triplets is just as hard as before tbh, bc he takes care of danny and ricky AND their pets p much
he’s happy tho, he just wants ricky and danny to live better lives than himself
extra:
he’s kinda afraid of fire now
he was forced to mature at a SUPER young age, so he’s pretty wise beyond his years
literally a dad, will father anyone but danny is his Baby
he’s really such a humble person
and a VERY GOOD PERSON, he might have sex a lot but god i really can’t stress enough that he’s Good, i really don’t want anyone ( aka muns not muses, muses can think what they want ) thinking he’s just some muse that fucks around a lot and i’m just looking for smut, bc that’s really not what i’m after. i just don’t want him or myself to be misunderstood oKay
he’d make breakfast for whoever he sleeps with, even if he doesn’t know their name, juST A REALLY KIND PERSON....
although he is really kinky, but it’s a stress thing. he needs the sort of double life to release all the stress he has
danny is his life, if you mess with danny you better expect some recoil
nicest ass of the triplets :)
he’s a manager at the cheesecake factory and is also a welder, sO HE WORKS A LOT,,,,
he’s not entirely into the hero thing, he’s just doing it for danny
some lil plots?:
a card that really wants vinny to capture them, but vinny isn’t really into having a card, he doesn’t entirely believe in it?
someone who wants him to slow down a bit, and just take some time off for himself bc he’s always so stressed and busy. they just Really want him to be okay and are there for him to fall into their arms and pass out at a moments notice, and he knows he’s in good hands everytime
another hero that he Really just doesn’t get along with, and that he probably gets into physical fights with sometimes whether it’s because they’re picking on danny or something else, just give me fights!!!
it was going to happen eventually, but vinny is rly kinky... does anyone want to be his sub lmfao like i kinda want to give him a sugar daddy plot tbh, just give vinny someone he can rly connect with and baby!!
but also give vinny someone that is also into rly kinky/rough shit to fuck with!! vinny really craves this stuff
uHHHH I REALLY CAN’T THINK OF MUCH ELSE RIGHT NOW IF YOU WANT SOMETHING WITH VINNY THO IM REALLY DOWN FOR ANYTHING! especially near death plots like something with fire!!! he is v not ok w fire, so someone put him in a Bad situation
#.ooc#IM SORRY THIS IS SO INCREDIBLY LONG#I'LL BE AWAKE FOR A LIL WHILE LONGER ANSWERING IMS AND STUFF

I’M SUPER HAPPY WE’RE ALL HERE FOR OPENING!! IT’S GONNA BE #LIT
I’LL GET TO MINA BASICS FIRST
16. dancer. born in quebec, canada (montreal specifically)
the youngest child of three! her older brother is THIS GUY
daughter of cool rich people who hotel. yeah. that’s a verb now.
goes to korea once a year to visit family and they live in the hotels, so their life is like suite life of zack and cody
ALSO HAS A COUSIN THERE WHO IS THIS BUD (i’ll link yebin when she gets accepted)
loved dancing since she was very small
wanted to be on so you think you can dance when she grew up
BUT THEN THE SHOW ENDED
AND HER GRANDPA DIED A FEW YEARS AFTER THAT
bc of that, she had to move to busan.
before, she used to be v gentle and nice and respectful, but after moving to busan, she’s been more moody and sassy and more carefree. think smth similar to amethyst from su?
has lived in busan for two years
in high school
still dancing (she hecking loves it)
a fan of love note (she dances covers w remi
NOW. FOR COMPLICATED RICKY. THIS IS A TL;DR VERSION OF HIS BIO BC THAT SHIT IS 6.4K WORDS
atm, 20.
a triplet. his other brothers are danny and vinny (HE HAS YET TO BE ACCEPTED) . he’s the oldest lol
has two little sibs! a brother and his youngest sister sejeong!!
son of a firefighter and a restaurant owner
has wanted to become a hero since he was young. he thought of firefighter as a career option bc his dad was a firefighter and his dad is a hero by saving ppl from fires
was diagnosed w depression in high school. use to self-harm, but he doesn’t anymore bc of one person
THAT ONE PERSON IS INSUNG!! a moody boy who seemed blunt and popular boy taehyung wanted to know him more
they become bffs, taehyung gets feelios
A YEAR AFTER THEY MEET, TAE MEETS AKU IN HIS DREAMS. BUT THEN AFTER A WHOLE DAY, AKU IS JUST “HEY IT’S THE MAN FROM UR DREAMS U WANNA BE A HERO OR NOT”
becomes a hero, has white outfit and white gun
figures out insung is also a hero who goes by the name basil after they both point out new accessories the other never wore
A FEW MONTHS LATER BASIL CONFESSES TO RICKY,,, ON THE DAY HIS DAD DIES
RICKY PROMISED TO STAY W THE FAMILY BUT THEN THIS STEP-FATHER CAME AND HE IS AWFUL TO RICKY AND THE OTHER CHILDREN IN GENERAL,,, BUT VERBALLY ABUSIVE TO RICKSTER
then BASIL DIES oh no ricky gets emo, dyes his hair red to remind him of why he’s a hero to this day (doesn’t want anyone to suffer loss like he did) his outfit changes from white to black
has the canidae card who is currently in the form of a samoyed. her name is soonshim. she likes chicken.
DURING THE TIME HE WAS A PURE AND GOOD SOUL HERO, he met THIS GUY . this guy liked him but he was like “what” (but he becomes important later on
both this guy and ricky don’t like each other bc bad connection, BUT ROOKIE MASSACRE HAPPENED AND THEY FIND THEMSELVES IN THE FAMILIAR. RICKY SAVES YOONGI AND GAY SHIT HAPPENS
but before gay shit happens, ricky goes through another life-threatening situation w a tantalus. he’s in a coma in real life, but in his mind, he’s in a place called his heart where he meets these three good people who help him become a healthier person who will try to love himself and move on from basil
IN THIS PLACE, HIS FRIENDSHIPS ARE REPRESENTED AS FLOWERS. LIKE THERE’S A SPECIFIC FLOWER IN THE FRIEND GARDEN THAT REPRESENTS A FRIEND. and there’s also that for family. there used to be a big ass yellow tulip in the love garden that killed all the flowers, but it got smaller bc ricky was able to get some help to bring them back to life
IN THAT ROMANTIC LOVE GARDEN he sees some sprouts appear next to the shrinking tulip and he’s like “oh wow i hope this helps me” (spoiler: it does)
in next dream thing, defeats basil’s familiar form and is free (also gets a new outfit: blue, two rifles, and orangey hair!)
u can read all of that shit storm (tantalus, dog, and coma) here
WAKES UP FROM COMA AND TRIES TO BE A BETTER PERSON, moves in with 2/3 of triplets, also FALLS IN LOVE WITH THAT GUY
THEN HE DREAMS OF HEART GARDEN AGAIN AND THERE’S FORGET-ME-NOTS IN THE ROMANTIC LOVE ONE (if u didn’t know, that’s the guy)
they go out and ricky moves in w him after a year but then DUN DUN DUN /APOCALYPSE/
long story short, ricky sees everyone he loves die. his family dies, his dog dies later on ( :( ), and his bf dies in his arms :’)
is the reason why this guy had to kill this guy (bc everyone thought ricky wld kill taeyong but he’s A COWARD) u can read about that here
resistance member, if it wasn’t obvious
THEY GO BACK NOT MUCH HAS CHANGED EXCEPT RICKY ALR LIVES W HIS BROS AND HE ALR HAS HIS JOB
yoongi still dislikes him though :( and he still has his shitty stepfather
special class (i forgot to mention that)
wants everyone to live better in this life and not go back to the horrors of the apocalypse again
sad and emo, still kind of an asshole. but softer.
loves radiance (that’s cc verse’s lovelyz bc i love lovelyz and i wanted to have an excuse to why ricky would like lovelyz songs)
eats spicy food a lot
used to be a hoe before yoongi in first timeline, now just a sad boy
my best character. i will literally take any opportunity to talk about him to u he is my fave ever
